A cozy country style bed and breakfast in the heart of San Francisco. Only 3-4 streetcar stops from Downtown, Union Square, Moscone Center and cable cars. Located in "Gourmet Mekka of San Francisco". The four guest rooms are comfortably furnished in country antiques and brass beds. The house is located at the end of a quiet street away from the city noise. It's like being in the country. There is a small patio with trees and birds for the guests to enjoy. A full breakfast is served in the sunny kitchen each morning. Country Cottage have a four guestrooms and a two full baths.

Had a chance to stay at the Country Cottage for four days. The price and location were excellent for San Franciso which is really expensive. I do have to say as soon as I showed up I was told to pay up immediately and not even shown my room at that point. It also wasn't clear how you confirm breakfast in the morning so I usually grabbed something on my way to the BART. The room was basic but you get what you pay for. My only issue is that it was freezing in the bedrooms and that made it a little uncomfortable. I have a feeling heat is not included in the price. Overall this is a good alternative to the very pricey hotels in San Francisco.
You were right, it was freezing. After fifteen years we got this in San Francisco. All you should have to do to call us the next morning to give us a chance to correct temperature in our place. Our phone number is always in confirmation and in room info. As our apology, you are getting one night free by your next visit. Sincerely, Richard & Susan

My husband and I spent 3 days at the Country Cottage. The blue shuttles at the airport will take you right to the door. Our room was clean and ready. The innkeeper, Erika was pleasant and friendly. She made breakfast every day about 8:30. We had the secluded room, downstairs. There are 2 other rooms downstairs and 1 room upstairs. There is a bathroom upstairs and one downstairs, but you can use either one. There are 2 sitting areas upstairs and a shared kitchen. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator that everyone can use. There is free Wifi. It was a quiet residential street but very easy to get to public transportation to get around. I would suggest buying a public transportation pass at the airport. They have them for varied numbers of days and save money. We paid $22 for a 3 day pass- Oct, 2013. You buy them at the information counter. I highly recommend this B&B.

Had a wonderful stay at the cottage garden B&B. Stayed for 3 weeks and tried out every room all very good but loved the garden room best. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Annie one of the hosts gave me information to local restaurants and helped me find a Dr when I injured my knee . Susan and her staff are very friendly and hospitable. Venue close to tram cars and restaurants and much more. Would go back again.
