Lovely Cottage in True San Diego Neighborhood

    June 22, 2011

Secluded cottage with beautiful patio in fun, eclectic neighborhood just outside downtown San Diego. Not only is the small cottage fun and comfortable, the attention to detail, wonderful breakfast and helpful tourist advice from the hostess, Paisley, is a great added benefit. Be sure to make time to look through the organized neighborhood listings compiled by the hostess to find great off-the-beaten-path cafes and shops around town. This cottage made for such a more interesting visit to San Diego than the typical convention hotel options. One word of advice, the neighborhood is definitely more accessible with a car.

One of the best parts of our trip!

    June 30, 2010

My husband and I stayed at Vintage Sol for 3 nights. This was truly one of the best parts of our trip. We had such a delightful time there. The place is so charming and private. It was so convenient, and we loved the room. The bed is absolutely heavenly! We were honestly sad to leave it. And the food was just outstanding! I am an avid cook and I have to say, Paisley's food was spot-on. She even had the room stocked with snacks and drinks. Finally, Paisley herself is so kind. She was always helpful and accommodating, and has fantastic recommendations. We debated between Vintage Sol vs. a 4- or 5-star hotel, and we are SO glad we chose to stay here!

    Northpark Oasis

    March 28, 2010

This little gem sits on a quiet residential street in the North park area. Close to everything but a unique escape. The grounds are stunning - modern combined with vintage - very well maintained and very eclectic. The casita is compact but has everything you need . Gourmet breakfasts were divine served in a private, breath taking courtyard. Hosts are lovely, accomodating and very helpful offering a full library of 'what to do' in the area and providing tips on local events. Truly a little bit of heaven!

    Perfect B&B

    January 26, 2010

Location - perfect. Room - perfect. Innkeeper - perfect. Breakfast - perfect. We have stayed at numerous B&B's in the US & Europe. Vintage Sol is cozy, eclectic, magical and clean! Parsley (the Innkeeper) is a warm wonderful woman and offers a wealth of information about San Diego and the surrounding areas and provides EXACT directions to any location we inquired about.

    Everything Wonderful

Fun, festive and perfect. The price charged doesn't do this B&B justice. Breakfast is fresh and gourmet level. Also, she has snacks & will help you find anything in San Diego.

    Perfect and lovely decorated!

    September 23, 2009

We've traveled through California for three weeks and this was the best place we've stayed in!! It was perfect and lovely decorated. Paisley was really sweet and she took good care of us. She had a lot of information about where to go in San Diego. The room was perfect, we even had a dvd in the room with the newest DVDs. And I can't even describe how good the breakfast was, it was delicious. When we left Paisley gave me flower seeds of the California Poppies. I will plant them next year! Thank you so much Paisley, we will recommend you to all of our friends and family in the Netherlands!

    One of our favorite B & B's!

    June 10, 2009

My husband and I just got back from our annual trip out west and while in San Diego stayed at the Vintage Sol. We totally fell in love with the place. Private studio area and incredible outside courtyard that was all ours during our visit! Paisley prepared us margaritas in the courtyard and lit candles all over one evening for us, creating such a romantic and fun happy hour for my husband and I. Paisley is very attentive and is always willing to provide ideas on what to do while staying in San Diego. We love Vintage Sol and will definitely be back to visit again! And, don't want to forget to mention that the breakfasts Paisley cooks are absolutely the best we have had while staying at a B & B. We are so happy we stayed there. Wonderful place! Looking forward to going back :)
