The Garden Cottage at the Green is a truly distinctive Bed and Breakfast designed especially for the enjoyment of its unique, award-winning gardens, vast golf course, and fresh coastal breezes. This exclusive retreat offers complete seclusion and privacy while still offering the intimate and warm hospitality expected from a bed and breakfast. Downstairs one enters into a light and airy country space with a dining area that captures the morning light through windows that overlook the gardens. Adjacent to the dining area is the kitchenette with designer cabinets and countertops, sink, microwave oven and pantry. As one travels up the staircase with hanging antique chandeliers, one enters a cozy sitting area for conversation and TV watching. The room has a vaulted ceiling and French doors that lead to a small sitting balcony that overlooks the gardens and has an ocean view. Behind a pair of sliding French Doors lies an inviting bedroom with windows that overlook the golf course.

Did you ever find a hide away that was so special you hoped the world wouldn't find out about it and that it would remain yours to run to when you needed a break? The Garden Cottage is "that place". My wife and I have stayed in B&B's all over the U.S. and none gave us the pure comfort and relaxed feeling this place offers. Ocean breezes, a nearby beach, a warm and cozy room to return to after a day exploring San Clemente and dining on the pier. For all the quiet and serenity this place offers they should should just call it "heaven" and be done with it!! Don't tell anyone about this except your very best friends.

We booked this B&B for our 30th anniversary and we were looking for a romantic quite beautiful spot and we found it. We have stayed at B&B's in numerous places in the US and abroad and this was the most intimate special place that we have found. First of all the grounds are spectacularly beautiful. When we arrived there were roses and chocolates waiting for us in our private two story hideaway. Music playing throughout the property gives it an almost magical feel. Not at all what we expected. This is a quaint, quiet, and beautifully decorated B&B. The owners, the Jensen's are the most amazing people, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Great location, 10 minute walk to the beach and close to quaint downtown San Clemente where there is great shopping, restaurants and a pier. Can't wait to return. This was a special anniversary experience we will never forget. L&P Bennett

When we first arrived I read the guest book. I thought their gushiing praises were a little over the top. How wrong I was!!! Our every need was met, from a beach blanket to a band-aid. This cottage is a must for those who enjoy the privacy and quaintness of a B&B. When we arrived we looked around and noticed all the garden ornaments, fountains, and beautiful, quaint outdoor furniture. Sweet scents and easy-listening music, that seemed to be played from the sky, gripped our senses right away!!! Our Inkeepers, Sandra and Bill, greeted us warmly with open arms and invited us to tour their FABULOUS estate!! The cottage, itself, is discretly attached to the residence!! In the kitchette area there were flowers that gave off a wonderful floral scent throughout our new abode. Upstairs is a beautiful sitting area, bed and bath, all furnished with an eclectic blend of antiques and traditional pieces. We walked out on the balcony and looking down we saw the English knot garden we had seen in three magazines....Breathtaking, as was the view of the Pacific Ocean just as the sun was about to set!! We couldn't have been anywhere else we thought!! Bill and Sandra invited us for cheese and wine out on the patio downstairs and we really got to know them. What FUN we had visiting with them!!! The next morning, after a wonderful night's sleep in a warm, comfortable and cozy bed, we had a scrumpious, healthy breakfast served in the beautiful garden area!!! Everything was cooked to perfection and the fruit yummy and sweet....Coffee was hot and delicious!!! We invited Bill and Sandra to join us because we really enjoyed their company and wanted to know more about their home and garden. They readily accepted our offer and we had another great and interesting time with them!!! Bill gave us lots of good gardening tips, too. We truly are looking forward to another vacation in San Clemente at the Garden Cottage!!! Bob and Karen

This bed and breakfast is truly a well-kept secret. It needs to be shared with everyone. The location is close to the beach and town with some fine dining. I highly recommend this establishment if you're celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon. Thank you Bill and Sandra for taking care of me!!!! You're both a great host as well. L.C.
