Perched on a knoll, overlooking manicured vineyards and the nearby hills, this country inn offers 24 individually decorated guest rooms and 5 luxury cottages. The Smiths used local antiques, family made quilts, fireplaces and balconies to create an atmosphere of unparalleled comfort. Most of the rooms are oriented to rural views, many overlooking nearby vineyards. Some rooms have patios, gracefully surrounded by lawns and privacy landscaping; others have intimate balconies; most are provided with fireplaces, useable year round. To extend the feeling of country tranquility you won't find a television in your room. The Inn has a beautiful heated swimming pool and hot whirlpool that have quickly become a social gathering spot for informal picnics and evening cocktails.

Thank you for a beautiful escape. The vineyard is beautiful- which we admired from our room, the walking paths and from the breakfast patio. The breakfast was so delicious- amazing chef! It felt like we were in Italy- yet only an hour away- with all the home amenities. We will absolutely come again- and recommend your Inn to our friends and family.

Beautiful inn located in a gorgeous setting. The room was very spacious and cozy. Enjoyed drinking coffee with the sun coming up over the valley. Staff was very friendly. Will stay there again! DA from Texas
DA, thank you for your nice review and your comments about my staff. Too bad you are not here today sipping coffee and looking out over the vineyards. They are in full-fall gory with reds and golds and yellows. Hope to see you back soon.

No on-site dinning. However, the Inn supplies a courtesy shuttle to several local restaurants and will make reservations. The afternoon hors d'oeuvres and wine was exceptional.

We enjoyed our stay very much and the property is gorgeous and everything super clean. We were dissappointed with a few areas for the price we paid which was over $500.00 for two of the nights. . The bathroom area neded some updating and the amenties were super small and felt sparce (soap, shampoo). Little things like asking if there were any cookies when we would come back from dinner and being told you need to get them before you leave because they run out. Also, we were asked to pay $1.00 for any bottle water or soft drinks we drank. These are things with a B&B of this magnitude that we just didn't expect. The staff is very nice and the property is beautiful and great location. Janelle the evening driver was a very very nice touch.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Yeah, I still get a little sticker-shock too with prices these days. Coming in the height of the season can definitely get expensive. I appreciate your comments about what may appear as nickle-and-diming you, but that is not our intent. For example, we have wonderful iced well-water and homemade sun-tea out all the time, for no charge. We are trying to discourage just automatically going for the bottled water and cans of soda for environmental reasons. We use smaller bath amenities for the same reason. Discarding large leftover bars of soap and half-used containers of shampoo seems like not the right thing to do. I used to think my father was cheap for thinking about stuff like that, but maybe he was the first environmentalist!

This was our second visit to the inn, and it's hard to believe it could top the first...but it certainly did! We stayed in one of the cottages again, and everything was suberb, from the cozy cottage fireplace to the excellent wine "Inncurrsion" tour. Of course, the view of the vineyard from our private patio was the icing on the cake for the visit. Actually, it's all about the view...isn't it?

We've stayed at the Wine Country Inn a number of times in the past 20 years and have never been disappointed they remain committed to running a clean, friendly and reasonably priced inn. The quality of breakfast has improved over the years as has the evening wine tastings.

Everything about our stay here was terrific. We stayed in room 19 which was big, sparkly clean, and had a balcony overlooking a vineyard. Breakfast was outstanding and the "happy hour" with tastings from local boutique wineries as well as tasty hors devores was special. The free rides to and from restaurants was also a huge plus. I could go on and on.........bottom line, this place is a winner!

I would highly recommend Wine Country Inn. Awesome scenery, great location, outstanding service and rooms you never want to leave. The 4-6pm wine tasting was fun. We hope to be back there one day soon. Matt and Laura

Jim and Lorinda Smith enjoy great food, great wine, traveling and a variety of sports. They are both avid cyclists. While Jim swims laps in the Inn's pool, Lorinda is out jogging the back roads close by. While Mike helps out answering the phones and taking reservations, Kelly is already helping Grandma Marge with decorating the rooms. It is truly a family affair!
