Perched on a knoll, overlooking manicured vineyards and the nearby hills, this country inn offers 24 individually decorated guest rooms and 5 luxury cottages. The Smiths used local antiques, family made quilts, fireplaces and balconies to create an atmosphere of unparalleled comfort. Most of the rooms are oriented to rural views, many overlooking nearby vineyards. Some rooms have patios, gracefully surrounded by lawns and privacy landscaping; others have intimate balconies; most are provided with fireplaces, useable year round. To extend the feeling of country tranquility you won't find a television in your room. The Inn has a beautiful heated swimming pool and hot whirlpool that have quickly become a social gathering spot for informal picnics and evening cocktails.

Wonderful spot in St Helena and we'll definitely be back. Location is very good and the Inns shuttle is great if you want to dine downtown in the evenings. The afternoon wine and hor dourves was perfect end the day and start the evening. Each afternoon they have a local winery featured to pair with snacks. The staff was helpful and friendly and willing to accommodate whatever they could for their guests. Overall wonderful!

Wonderful location and beautiful property. Carpet needed replaced as room smelled moldy, but otherwise a perfect place. They are updating rooms. The couple we went with had hardwood floors and there was no odor to their room. Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at the Wine Country Inn many times over the last 30 years and have never been disappointed. Wonderful rooms with spectacular views of the vineyards, incredible hospitality, and clean, beautiful rooms. The pool, although not huge, is adequate for lap swimming (maybe half a 25 meter pool), and heated nicely. The breakfast is scrumptious with yummy homemade granola. Although the roads are congested during the day, this inn is on the outskirts of town and very quiet and serene. We will continue to return to this wonderful little heaven.

Jim and Lorinda Smith enjoy great food, great wine, traveling and a variety of sports. They are both avid cyclists. While Jim swims laps in the Inn's pool, Lorinda is out jogging the back roads close by. While Mike helps out answering the phones and taking reservations, Kelly is already helping Grandma Marge with decorating the rooms. It is truly a family affair!

This room has a completely different feel than most of our rooms. It has a very back woods cabin feel to it with the 100 year old barn wood on two of the walls and a deep textured plaster on the other walls. The fireplace, balcony and great vineyard view add to the feeling of being out in the country. If you only like bright airy rooms book 9 or 10 right across the hall.

We have traveled to many foreign lands, and almost all of the lower 48 States in the USA over many years. We have stayed in a myriad of settings and few can compare to the sense of serenity, peace, and enjoyable relaxing atmosphere that just envelopes one at the Wine Country Inn. This was, indeed, a very special time with the hope we will return as often as possible, to expand our experience even more to the great wineries, but especially, to enjoy the terrific restaurants that populate the entire Napa Valley, but for sure, those in St. Helena!

Amazing experience! We knew we would come back to this Inn within 5 minutes of arrival. The staff was amazing! Great room and great amenities! AND great location as far as proximity to wineries....highly recommend staying here!

From the airport get onto Hwy 101 North to San Francisco. About 10 miles follow signs to Bay Bridge/ I-80 East. Cross Bay Bridge and follow signs towards Sacramento (still I-80 East). Take I-80 all the way to Vallejo approximately 30 miles. You will exit I-80 at Hwy 37/Marine World Parkway. Stay on Hwy 37 for about 4-5 stoplights. Turn right onto Hwy 29 (North) towards Napa. From this point you are about 40 minutes from St. Helena. You will go through several towns, first Napa, then Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford , and then St. Helena. Once in St. Helena you will continue North for 2 miles then make a right onto Lodi Lane. We are about one quarter mile up on the left .See you when you arrive.
