Perched on a knoll, overlooking manicured vineyards and the nearby hills, this country inn offers 24 individually decorated guest rooms and 5 luxury cottages. The Smiths used local antiques, family made quilts, fireplaces and balconies to create an atmosphere of unparalleled comfort. Most of the rooms are oriented to rural views, many overlooking nearby vineyards. Some rooms have patios, gracefully surrounded by lawns and privacy landscaping; others have intimate balconies; most are provided with fireplaces, useable year round. To extend the feeling of country tranquility you won't find a television in your room. The Inn has a beautiful heated swimming pool and hot whirlpool that have quickly become a social gathering spot for informal picnics and evening cocktails.

Great place to stay. No TV but you probably not need one. A little disappointed that they had no egg dishes (except quiche) for breakfast. Wife does not like the fact that she had to use stairs with her bad knee.

If you're looking for a quiet romantic getaway, this is it! Close enough to all of the wineries; yet secluded enough for quiet romance. We signed up the Inn's Inn-Cursion -- a day trip which shuttles customers to local wineries. Tracy was our guide and she shuttled us and another couple around for the day. She was fabulous! This was our first trip to the Napa Valley region. We will definitely return to the Wine Country Inn!

On our first visit to Napa Valley we chose to stay at Wine Country Inn in St. Helena and were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. They helped book dinner reservations and we took advantage of their winery tour and had a great experience with Tracy. The food was outstanding with delicious breakfast each morning and a great spread of appetizers and wine at the daily happy hour. Our room was comfortable, clean and had an amazing view of the vineyard and mountains. It was just perfect and would highly recommend staying there. We hope to return someday!!

Upon entering we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was beautiful and cozy. The room is well appointed and especially clean. We were invited to join other patrons at 4:30 for an appetizer and wine sampling. Ryan the chef prepared a wonderful selection of hors d'oeuvre and the Scott Harvey winery provided a wonderful selection of whites and reds. The inn invited us to tour the grounds and photograph (our passion) to our hearts content. The complimentary shuttle to and from dinner was a very nice surprise and made getting around trouble free - as a vacation should be. All in all one of the finest stays we have enjoyed in our 25 years of marriage. We will be booking another trip very soon to the Wine Country Inn!

Jim and Lorinda Smith enjoy great food, great wine, traveling and a variety of sports. They are both avid cyclists. While Jim swims laps in the Inn's pool, Lorinda is out jogging the back roads close by. While Mike helps out answering the phones and taking reservations, Kelly is already helping Grandma Marge with decorating the rooms. It is truly a family affair!
