The place was exactly what we were looking for on our 10 year anniversary. It was secluded, yet very centralized to all of the wineries we wanted to see. The breakfasts were perfect, and the complimentary shuttle service to dinner was something we valued very much. We look forward to coming back much sooner than our 20 year anniversary!

I booked our room a month in advance and was sent an email a couple of days later greeting us and asking if there was anything that the Inn could do to help with our trip. I took advantage of all of this as it was our first time taking a trip like this and staying at a bed and breakfast like this. When we had arrived, we were greeted with a friendly and warm welcome and were upgraded to one of the Cottages (Kate’s Cottage) which had a peaceful view overseeing the adjacent vineyard. The cottage itself has a very relaxing and romantic tone to it with a large bathroom with a 2 person hot tub in it. The next day started with a great breakfast that includes anything from a quiche dish with waffles to just fruits and yogurt. We were booked on the Inn-Cursion which is the Inn's version of wine tasting. Their driver, Marty, picked us up around 10AM and took us to 6 different wineries since we were the only couple on this trip. We headed out, and at first I was a bit sceptical as we started off going to small wineries that were what it appeared to me as other people's personal property, but I soon realized, that's the way things are. In fact, my wife and I enjoyed our time and the wine far better at these smaller wineries than we did at the larger wineries (The smaller ones you are usually talking with the owner of the winery directly and get a more personal experience). The driver gave us a great background of the area as he was driving us around and made it a very great experience. In the middle of the trip, we headed back to the Inn for our lunch which was included as part of the inn-cursion. For the second part of the day, we went to a few more wineries and got back around 4PM. The timing was perfect as my wife and I were about done with the travelling and tasting. If I had to plan this trip to Napa again, I know where I am going. The hotel staff are amazing people and my wife and I are already looking forward to the next trip.

We stayed here 20 years ago, had a great time, but have not been back to Napa without the kids. I decided to surprise my wife with a week in The Vintner's Cottage for our 25th, which was not built when we last visited. The cottage was amazing, the staff and food great, and the stay was one to remember. Although the cottages are not inexpensive, I think you will have a hard time beating the price for what you get and recommend the Inn to everyone. Thank you again to Jim and his staff for making our stay a special one.

From the moment we entered the room, it was like stepping into a dream. The hand painted four poster, the flowery prints, calming blue, and the fireplace, all seemed to come out of an 18th century British novel!! The wines and appetizers in the evening were as delicious as the breakfast. The entire property was beautiful and green, and I especially loved the little swing overlooking the vineyard. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here, and would recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect romantic weekend getaway!

We highly recommend a stay here - the location is wonderful, the advice provided about places to eat was superb, the breakfast and appetizers were delicious, and recipes provided (a very nice touch).Worth returning to!

We booked a last minute stay in their smallest room, but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and they upgraded us to a much larger suite, without even asking! The suite was HUGE! The grounds are spectacular and they have a nice wine/app hour along with generous breakfast. The rooms are a bit pricey, but if you luck out with a complimentary upgrade, totally worth it!

Great location with cosy rooms. Love the fireplace and the high pressure shower head. Delicious breakfast each morning with lots of sides. Knowledgeable hosts pointed us to a wonderful restaurant for a late night dinner. Will definitely consider coming back here for future visits to the wine country.

This was our second visit, and we will definitely stay again. Convenient to all attractions, including the Culinary Institute of America (1 mile), where we were taking a course.

Our stay was a breath of fresh air. The attention to detail was overwhelming, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the comfort of a relaxing atmosphere made our vacation perfect.

We ended up staying a second night. Their wine tasting tour and lunch was fantastic - Unique vineyards and small group (just 6 total). They Inn has a nightly restaurant shuttle to take you to and from your local restaurants. Everyone was very helpful and we loved breakfast each morning. This was a relaxing and beautiful weekend. Thank you for an amazing first trip to Napa. I have already recommended the inn to many friends.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Wine Country Inn in early March. The location in the middle of a vineyards, the hospitality of the owners and the simplicity of the room with a great view and an open fire place created the right atmosphere for relaxation. We can recommend the place warmly. The only room for improvement is quality of coffee at breakfast which does not match the overall experience.

Our cottage was an outstanding romantic hideaway. Perfect in every way. In our 16 day trip to several beautiful places in California, this ranked at the top.

The service was spectacular, as was the room and the landscape. The shuttle service and local dining was a great bonus. We will be back again!

We had a great stay at Wine Country Inn. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We took the wine excursion with Tracy and visited some great wineries. Breakfast, wine hospitality and free dinner transportation was a big plus! We would definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends.

Very unique and charming inn!

We had a great 2 nights here, it is kind of like a BnB hotel hybrid, but done very well. Breakfast was great and the afternoon wine reception was a nice addition. Definitely appreciated the room upgrade. The only downside was that the shuttle to dinner was not running during the week despite the advertising and flyers that we saw.

Our 5 day stay at the Wine Country Inn was wonderful. We stayed in one of their cottages which was complete with a fireplace and a private patio with a small fountain. It was comfortable and very cozy. We never missed not having a TV in the room. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The Inncursion wine tour was wonderful with our driver/guide well informed about the wineries he took us to as well as others. The breakfasts and the afternoon wine tastings were fun and delicious. We got to meet other guests and learn about their favorite wineries. The chef prepared delcious dishes and was kind enough to share his recipes. I highly recommend the Wine Country Inn and hope to return soon.

My wife and I had a fun and relaxing three day visit to Napa Valley. The Wine Country Inn was a great place to call home base whiule visiting many wineries. The staff were wonderful and very friendly, and the food was exceptional. My wife liked getting the recipes. Everday in the late afternoon, a different winery provided wine tasting (our favorite was Frank Family Winery), and Wine Country Inn served delicious appetizers. We would recommend this inn to all of our friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wine Country Inn. From the beautiful grounds, to our comfortable room, to breakfast, to the afternoon hors d'ouvres and wine tasting everything was as good or better than we had expected. The transportation to the restaurants was a real plus as well. This place is a real find in my opinion.

My husband and I were out in Napa for our 30 year anniversary and we had a wonderful stay at the WIne Country Inn! We would proably stay there again.

Awesome place nestled off the main road. Staff very friendly and accomadating to our needs. They made all our dinner reservations and even provided the transportation to and from those restaurants. Great breakfast every morning to start our day. Extremley well kept property with beautiful views. Absolutly be back soon!!

Our favorite place in Napa is The Wine Country Inn...friendly, great service, great location, and beautiful setting. This was the first time on the main level in the main inn (room #7). Beautiful room, but unfortunately the night was disrupted by our neighbors coming in noisily late and frequent visits to the bathroom by the patrons above us (noisy floor, heavy walkers).

Wonderful experience. The room was wonderful, grounds amazing (grapes in full bloom), breakfast delicious, and staff wonderful.

Stay there many times. Its very well located in the center of Napa valley, has a nice breakfast and lovely garden. The decor is a bit random bed and breakfast style, but all the essential comforts are there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Wine Country Inn. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and your staff certainly made us feel special.

The staff was friendly,helpfull and very knowledgeable. The grounds and rooms were superb. We really loved the wine tour guide he took us to small wineries that had excellent wine.

Great location. The grounds were fantastic. Free shuttle to restaurants was very helpful and necessary after a day of wine tasting. Also enjoyed the local winery tastings every late afternoon.

Surprised my boyfriend for his birthday and he was thrilled. The pool is gorgeous, the breakfast is great, and it is extremely relaxing. Very homey feel, with the exception of the luxury. Highly recommend... You're not going to want to leave!

WCI makes dinner reservations at many upper Napa valley restaurants, but the best part is they have a shuttle that takes you to the dinner and picks you up when you are ready! Well done!

We stayed 4 nights at the Wine Country Inn on our 3rd trip to the Valley... and it was fabulous! The rooms are spacious and, the beds a very comfortable. The ground are beautiful and the the pool refreshing. Breakfast is plentlyful to get you ready for a full day of wine tasting. Two bonus items of staying here are 1) the evening wine tasting is included with appetisters and 2) the Wine Excursion they offer was surprisingly a wonderful experience. We will diffenetly stay here again!

Excellent place. Grounds were beautiful. Good size room with gas fireplace. Large patio with views of vineyard. Nice variety for breakfast. Used the free shuttle to downtown St Helena restaurant.

Good day We were only there for 2 days but hope to be able to bo back one day..for a longer stay. We chose this special place because it was our overdue 20 year anniversary. We were definitely not disappointed and would be happy to recommand it. Everyone was very polite, nice, patient, generous and more. The food was excellent. The Wine Country Inn provides the quintessential wine country experience. A perfect get-away spot to celebrate a special occasion - as we did for our recent Anniversary. The shuttle to local restaurants, the helpful front-office staff, and the great breakfast all contributed to a wonderful stay. We splurged and had a separate cottage (Vintner's Room) with a private deck overlooking the vineyards. I can't imagine a more relaxing setting, and we look forward to going back again.

We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome and were then shown to our lovely room. We had spent the week travelling California staying at various hotels and it was so nice to be somewhere so individual.Our room was private, very comfortable, and a joy to come back to. The Wine Country Inn really is a special place to stay.

we had an amazing time at the wine country inn, the staff were outstanding and made us feel so very welcome.... my only complaints are that the shower/toilet area needs a desperate upgrade and having payed nearly $500 for the room and then having to pay for a soda!! really??? ... but we had a great time and the view from our room was outstanding. we will certainly recommend to all our friends.

Just can't beat the Wine Country Inn for a romantic stay in the Napa Valley. Wine and appetizers every afternoon and a spectacular breakfast each morning. Beautiful rooms overlooking the vineyards. Excellent service. What more could you ask for? There's a reason people return over and over! Love this place!!!

It was very warm and quaint. We enjoyed all the meals recommended by the staff. Janelle was a great driver at night for us to dinner always explaining what to have at each restaurant which helped make our decision for dinner easy and she was always correct as we never had a bad meal. We found Wine Country Inn online by chance, but we were very happy to have found it! The staff and other guests we met at the inn were extremely friendly and I can see us going back there for more. The quality of complimentary food and wine was excellent; we actually ended up canceling our dinner reservations! As experienced world-travelers, we recommend Wine Country Inn for anyone.

Everything about the Inn made for a really great weekend stay the staff was really helpful the food great and room beautiful.

My husband and I stayed at the Wine Country Inn for our honeymoon. We booked solely by what we saw online and it is not only what is advertised, but BETTER!! The staff was WONDERFUL...the shuttle to dinner restaurants, reservations made for you, the excursion available to tour wine country, and the knowledge of the staff for anything you may need to know was above and beyond! The service they offer to mail wine home for you is an awesome plus!! I would highly recommend the Wine Country Inn and am looking forward to the next time WE can get away to wine country!!

The people at the Wine Country Inn are very friendly and the dinner shuttle was a great perk! We also got a free room upgrade to the Vintner's Cottage, and I've never stayed anywhere that nice. We had a vineyard view and our own private patio. The bathroom was huge and beautiful. It was more like a little apartment than a hotel! Very good breakfast, too. I feel very lucky to have stayed there.

Nice secluded beautiful place in St. Helena. The rooms with spacious, the balcony was amazing. It set right next to the vines, so we had a tons of privacy. On that note, the guy who farms those grapes must see a lot of naked people. There was wine tasting every happy hour with fantastic food. Ryan was our chef, very kind and happy to help us find the best restaurants in the area. Breakfast was great too, the artichoke quiche was good to start our day. We got free wine tastings everywhere with the wine country inn. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the Vintner's Cottage, our daughter was in the Sunny Garden Cottage, and our friends were in rooms in the main lodge. We all loved our rooms and the views. Chef Ryan's breakfast casseroles were wonderful and his Happy Hour hors'doeuvres and wine tastings were fun and delicious! We would definitely stay there again!

We stayed in one of the suites and were just blown away by the layout of the room and its surroundings. We had a patio over;looking a vineyard that was lika an europhic oasis in the full moon. Sitting back in our chaise lounge chairs, sipping wine, chillin out, I mean it just doesnt get any better! Anyone who runs there own business surely can relate to what we're saying. Top notch in every aspect. Thank You W.C.I. for a wonderful vacation.

Super Bed and Breakfast! We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for our two nights in Napa Valley. The service was excellent and the place was amazing. One night we had our own fireplace in the room and the other night we got upgraded to a room with private spa. One of the best things though, is the complementary Wine tasting and snacks. Both days, we had wine from local wineries and homemade snacks/tapas. Another great thing is the shuttle that brings you to your dinner place and pick you up again - in that way you can taste all the good wine without having to drive.

This was a lovely hotel with great amenities very close to St. Helena and Calistoga, but just far enough to feel like you're getting away from all of the bustle. It is a pricey hotel, not that it's not worth it or more expensive than any other place in the area, but pricey all the same! I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Wonderful place to stay. Great location, exceptional service all the way around. Shuttle to great restaurants (wonderful driver that will give you the real lo-down). Check out the families vinyards too (Hour Glass and Blue Line). HIghly recommended. Our second stay and we'll be back again.

WCI is the best property in St Helena and Napa. Just tow minutes outside of the town of St Helena so it offers the ambiance of staying in a vineyard with the convenience found in the center of tow. It is truly modeled after an east coast Bed and Breakfast but with modern conveniences. All of the exclusive features from the fantastic breakfasts, to the daily customized wine excursions to the shuttle to the restaurants within 15 minutes of this boutique property, it adds up to one fantastic place to spend time in wine country. If you can find a property that has all of this go for it but I bet you will not find anything close to the Wine Country Inn.

This Bed and Breakfast was perfect. Beautiful and clean rooms. Awesome balcony views of the surrounding vineyards. Great people, food, and times. I will never stay anywhere else when I come back. I can't wait.

The place is really good and I had special moments there. I suggest the bike tour from Npa Valley Bike Tours!

Stayed at Wine Country Inn on vacation. Food and service at the Wine Country Inn were outstanding! Rooms needed a little bit TLC (plugs that didn't work and bathroom small and outdated) but that could have just been our room. Would definitely stay again. Surroundings are beautiful!!

Our experience at the Wine Country Inn was exceptional! We arrived in time for the 4:00 pm local wine tasting and hors d'ouevres. Our host, had a glass of wine in our hands even before we checked in! We had not made plans for dinner the first night we arrived. The Inn's staff promptly made a recommendation, made a reservation, drove us to the restaurant and then returned later in the evening to deliver us back to the Inn! The Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Service was 5 stars!! We stayed in one of the beautiful cottages. It was absolutely gorgeous! We loved the private patio, complete with fountain and beautiful landscaping! Needless to say, we are very much looking forward to our return to Napa. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

The location of the Inn is excellent--away from the highway so it is not noisy and mid-valley so there is easy access to wineries, dining, and outdoor activities. The setting is also quite lovely, with gardens throughout the property and vineyards nearby--quite the haven for birds as well as guests seeking a quiet moment during the day. A hearty breakfast buffet is available every morning (including a hot entree) and a coffee service is available all day (with delicious home-made cookies every evening). The atmosphere is carefree and congenial--staff are available to assist guests as needed but are not obtrusive in any way. Spa services are available on-site and the Inn offers an evening wine tasting; however, we did not take advantage of these opportunities during our recent visit. We had a truly relaxing stay and look forward to our next visit to the Inn

Great place. We stayed in the least expensive room and though small, everything was first class. The breakfast is awesome, the daily wine tasting is free with a ton of great snacks and the complimentary van service to dinner is something I have never seen anywhere else. Really, they are doing a great job here and I highly recommend this inn for a great time in Napa Valley.

The WCI is ideally located, offers an array of beautiful rooms and the service and staff are by far the best

This was the first time we had stayed at this Inn and we had a wonderful time. The property is lovely with a great swimming pool area and our room (number 4) was very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful and Ryan the chef is terrific. I don't care for the fact that the Inn charges half of your bill to your credit card right away--we booked six weeks in advance. When asked about this "policy" they said that they have been utilizing this practice "...for 30 years..." Also, while our room was beautiful, we could hear everything our neighbors were talking about through the walls.

My wife and I spent a quick two night stay and was concerned that the website which they had may have overstated their B & B, however we were blown away from the first moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff treated us as family and the facilities were gorgeous and comfortable. Sorry we couldnt stay longer and my wife is already pressuring me to schedule another future geraway there soon. Every year my mother, sister and I travel and take a weekend get away to celebrate mother's day. We have been doing this for 10 years and the Wine Country Inn was definately our favorite location to date. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

We stayed a single night in Napa at the Wine Country Inn. The evening wine tasting was very good with an assortment of snacks that were surprisingly good. The shuttle service to dinner is a must if you are enjoying a bottle of wine with dinner. We will be returning, hopefully soon.

Wine Country Inn is a bit on the pricy side, but the service, knowledgeable and friendly staff are above and beyond what you would find anywhere else. It was very cool that they offered a new winery tasting every night at happy hour; it afforded the opportunity to try wine from a vineyard that maybe you haven't been or may care to go and the free tasting allows the choice to happen.

We stayed 2 nights to celebrate hubbie birthday and were immediately upgraded to a nicer room. Staff so friendly and helpful. Wine and nibbles every evening definitely made it value for money. I would highly recommend this place. Loved it.

Wine Country Inn lived up to my high expectations and provided a perfect atmospere to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Our suite had a private hot tub just feet from the vineyards and breathtaking view of the surrounding hills. Given the opportunity, I'd go go back in heartbeat.

While it's not the classic restored Victorian we always gravitate to, the WCI is the closest we've come to the perfect B&B situation if you can get one of the Hasting House rooms with the private outdoor hot tubs. The facility is immaculate, the staff is Great, Ryan is a great chef so the breakfasts are delicious and plentiful!! The location is perfect as well, if you like to get out and hike or jog. We will definitely be back!! awr

This is the second time we have stayed at The Wine Country Inn...this time for my wife's 40th Birthday, and we put the Inn to the test by bringing along 6 other couples that never get away from their kids, so needless to say, we all returned to our youth. Not only was the Inn it's usual wonderful place, they handled all of us and our antics with respect, and a knowledge of why we were there and the patience that comes with it. I recommend to ANYONE to stay here, as we ALWAYS will...absolutely NO desire to even think about ever staying anywhere else!!! This will ALWAYS be our Napa Home.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life this is your destination! The views are a dream and the location is peaceful! I did the InnCursion which takes you to local boutique wineries that most people would drive by to the more commercialized wineries,but that would be a mistake to miss those jems, that only the locals would know about. The breakfast were amazing! The total rest destination, I willbe going back!

We stayed in the Vinters Cottage. It was absolutely wonderful. Everything you could possibly think of was in the room with clear labeling to make your stay exceedingly pleasant. The cottage is tucked next to the vineyards and with spectaculare weather, it was delightful. The new chef is great. We missed some of our favorite staff who were on leave recuperating and we missed seeing Chef Guy one last time but Ryan is a good addition to the always warm and welcoming Wine County team. It was also nice to see Jim more than what we normally see him since he was filling in for the staff.

We have stayed here approximately 5 times over the past year. It's amazing how many repeat customers that there are. The rooms are well worth the price; the setting is serene. Breakfast and the wine hour w/ appetizers in the evening is a nice addition. In addition to the customer service, the fact that they drive you to/from dinner is exceptional. We only live 30 miles away, but love to come up here for a wine country weekend regularly.

What a disappointment first night no heat then in morning black water they then down sized are room to what felt like the basement that had a musty smell had room service are eggs were in a bowl with tin foil over it 45$ ????? But I will say all the staff are 100% nice over all we would never stay there again for what it is worth it was Feb 3 to the 5 room 17 down sized to 3

My wife and I spent a few nights here. The location is perfect for wine tasting. The people at the Inn are very friendly and helpful. We went down in the evening for wine and snacks. We had a great time meeting other guests. I cant imagine Why someone wouldnt want to stay here. Great Place!

This was the 2ND time we stayed there. It was just fantastic both times. All the help are friendly but not phony. We will be going back. The views are unparalled.

The Wine Country Inn is the best get away I for a weekend of relaxation. Nestled in St. Helena it is so close to many of the best wineries in Napa. The staff and service is great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great wine and dine weekend that combines total relaxation. The setting was totally perfect combining this with my proposal to my fiancee. You can't stay at a better place in the Napa Valley. This B&B gets it all right! The rooms, the views, the food & wine tasting, and the wonderful staff make you feel like you are at home.

We will definitely return to and recommend the Wine Country Inn! The staff is friendly & helpful, the breakfast is outstanding and the wine social in the afternoon is fabulous! Best time was on the Inn-cursion tour with Marty! We had the best time laughing and enjoying the wineries he picked out for our tour. Not to mention the FABULOUS lunch he prepared for us! AMAZING! The restaurant shuttle is also a great service. We stayed in one of the cottages and LOVED it! A little pricey but worth every cent!

Great rooms, location, happy hour, breakfasts, and staff! This is our favorite place to stay in Napa Valley. We'll be back - again!

The stay was amazing, they upgraded our room to one with a fireplace and balcony. Their recommendations of where to taste were great and t was generally just a very friendly place,

I was very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. In addition, the shuttle service is fantastic. The room was very nice as well - very clean with classy touches - though kind of expensive.

Wifi/Internet was not available in the rooms as quoted. The common room was locked every night at 10pm so you were unable to go in and access the wifi from there. Made it difficult to contact family overseas and answer emails.

Wine Country Inn was well-located and had many nice amenities like the Designated Driver, wine & appetizers in the evening and a full buffet breakfast. It was a very lovely place to stay but was rather large for a B&B. It was more like a homey hotel with about 20 rooms. With all said, I would recommend this inn.

This was our first extended visit to the wine country. My wife and I had a spectacular time and overall we were very pleased with our accomodations. We felt that the value was exceptional, the location was excellent and quite cozy. Far and away the most exceptional thing we could comment on is the service was top shelf! From the kitchen staff, front desk, cleaning staff to all those not mentioned everyone was polite, pleasant and went above and beyond to help us in any requested manner. We will definitely stay here again for our next vist- which we hope to be very soon. I would recommend the Inn without reservation and with much enthusiasm.

3 fabulous nights in the Napa Valley...but up away from all the crowds at the Wine Country Inn. The breakfasts each morning are yummy and made with many of their own home grown ingredients. Every afternoon, there is a complimentary wine tasting in the common room by one of the local wineries. Plus, you can take one of their "Wine Inn-cursions", where they drive you around for the day to boutique, off-the-beaten-path wineries. We don't want to stay anywhere else

This was our 6th visit to the Inn and we have yet to be disappointed! It is the only place we stay and recommend in the wine country. Great pride and care are taken at the Inn which translates to a welcoming, comforting and relaxing experience. With Guy at the helm, the breakfast and afternoon appetizers are fantastic! Best tasty delights around! The staff is wonderful and we are already set to come back early next year. Thank you again Wine Country Inn for giving us consistent and memorable good times!!

I was hoping to be in a cottage for the price of the room and was actually disappointed in the standard of the bathroom also. Breakfast and service outstanding as ever

Each evening there is a different winery doing a tasting. Also, the free restaurant shuttle is very convenient. Mostly, we liked how it doesn't feel like a big place and it's kind of out in the country. Also, just a short walk to Freemark Abbey winery and Silverado Brewing company (food and beer).

Very personable and warm place to stay. Check-in was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. I also appreciated the restaurant drop off and pick up. Great place!

My husband and I spend our 25th anniversay at the Wine Country Inn. It far exceed ed our expectations and we stayed an extra day because it was so beautiful. The food and staff were wonderful. It is pretty pricy but we will return.

The Wine Country Inn is so comfortable to stay at. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Napa Valley.

This was a great inn. Staff very friendly and accommodating for food allergies. The inn and the rooms were so private, did not feel busy even though they were at full capacity. Loved the snacks and wine tasting nightly.

This place is remarkable, the people are the greatest asset - everyone caring and friendly. While we were not in our room that much, I did notice the Wi-Fi either way to slow or non-existant, but I was there for the inn and the wine country instead. Highly recommend this place, it's been our 3rd trip there in 4 years.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend. Completely relaxing resort. LOVED the free shuttles to local restaurants! Wonderful service for your guests. The location is fantastic, too. Overall, the place is "rustic elegant." Nothing fancy. Just real. Loved the quail running about the place as well. had never seen a quail!

Delightful Inn to spend a few days. Great location, very friendly staff, Janelle, who drives the shuttle limousine to the restaurants was spot on with her advice where and what to eat: The" Market" restaurant on Main Str. in St.Helena was terrific: Lobster rolls, Scallops in cauliflower puree with mushrooms and an amazing dessert: Butterscotch Pudding that won 1st prize."Cindy's Backstr.Kitchen "did not come close. Jim offered halfprice roomrates if we had to extend our stay due to Hurricane Irene, that forced Dulles Airport to be closed. We were able to get a plane the next day early and decided to spend it at the Airport, but that was a classy offer! Can highly recommend this Inn!

Very romantic. The owners go out of their way to be helpful. The breakfasts are great. Will stay there again next time I go to Napa.

This is our second visit to the Wine Country Inn, and once again we left happy customers! We've decided we will stay here every visit to Napa/St.Helena. We checked in on a Sunday, and were upgraded from a small queen room without a view to a large queen room with fabulous views! The staff is so very accommodating in every way. Since it was a "light" crowd during our stay, we were had breakfast delivered to our room! A nice touch, plus fabulous food.

We enjoyed the Wine Country Inn. Wine tasting in the early evening with hors d'oeuvres was nice and the breakfasts were very pleasant. We enjoy meeting other people and had the choice of eating breakfast at our own table or sitting at a large table and chatting with others. Pool was nice. Van driver for the restaurant shuttle was kind of abrasive, but it's a handy service. All other staff was quite pleasant. Good location. Seems like they get a lot of guests who return year after year.

My wife and I stayed one night. We were disappointed that there was not a TV in the room. My wife likes a flat pillow and I like a full one. I was the one happy. It would have been nice to have both available. The staff was great and the happy hour was outstanding. We were happy that we stayed there but for the price I doudt we stay there again.

We love wine country inn! Would be outstanding across the board but bothbour rooms needed minor repairs that should have been done especially given the prices at this inn. It didnt ruin our time at all and we will still be back to this great inn butvwe hope they will do a biyvmore careful room maintenance.

The grounds are extremely pleasant and relaxing in nature. The breakfast and afternoon wine & appetizers were a nice bonus. Because I have food allergies, it was very nice how ingredients to the food were displayed. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

We needed a quiet relaxing weekend and The Wine Country Inn was perfect. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home.

What a find!!! Not only are the gardens and surrounding vineyards GORGEOUS, but the room (cottage, actually) was BEYOND my expectation. And the service -- the staff -- is wonderful. Everyone is not nice-because-they-have-to-be -- they are genuinely good, nice, fun people! Don't miss the 4:30pm wine tasting and appetizers in the "common room". The pool and jacuzzi are a dream, too. Make sure to wander around the gardens.

We are accustomed to a B&B breakfast that shows individuality; something unique and tasty. The breakfast here was a large serve-yourself tureen of a tasteless quiche that everyone shared. Scones and muffins were run-of-the-mill. All in all, this breakfast had variety but lacked quality, especially for the high price we were paying.

We plan to stay at The Wine Country Inn every year! The staff was courteous and professional, and the food was outstanding. We were sad to leave because it felt like we were leaving family!

Just got back from an amazing stay at the Wine Country Inn and all I can say is wow! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home and we can't wait to return!

We stayed in the "smallest" room, and were pleasantly surprised at how large it was -- there was even a small "nook" that fit my 3 year-old son's cot perfectly. The breakfast was very very good. And the afternoon hors d'oeuvres were even better -- great food, plus a different indie winery was pouring wine every day. It was like getting an extra (free!) tasting every day. We looked forward to it every afternoon. The grounds were outstandingly beautiful. What a great setting to be right in a vineyard. But it's less than 3 minutes to town, so no need to feel far away. The pool was lovely and my 3 year old loved it. The people there were incredibly friendly and SO nice to my son. As were the rest of the guests. We will definitely stay here again and again!

This beautiful inn has spectacular views, comfortable rooms, and extremely friendly keepers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend this location both for families and couples.

If your looking for a special getaway the Wine Country Inn is the place. The excellence of the staff, attention to detail and wonderful food and service put this B&B above all others! Celebrating out 25th Wedding Anniversay was beyond what we expected from the Inn. They offer wine tours, car service each evening so you dont have to drive to dinner and they will even surprise you with making all of your dinner reservations and when you arrive at the restaurant it is a new experience each evening. A great pool that is heated sitting in the middle of the Vines! Each evening different wine makers shocase their specialty wines and they are all to die for. I am not one who usually writes reviews (leave that to my wife) and could really not be bothered but this place made an impact on me and we will be back for sure. My husband desired a secluded bed & breakfast (inn) situated among the vinyards. Found Wine Country Inn on the internet. Very impressive website. Arrived to find a quaint inn, inviting room with a private patio overlooking the vinyards as well as a private hot tub. Very quiet. We took advantage of the Inn-cursion the next day. Tracy, our guide, took us to wineries 'off the beaten path' where the owners were actually there talking about their wines. We were taken back to the Inn for lunch during the day. Guy is truly Master Chef of HIS kitchen. Each morning we were served a bountiful breakfast - all kinds of fruits, 'famous' granola, Death by Cheese, waffles, homemade muffins, bagels, etc. etc. Excellent! Our first contact with Wine Country Inn was Carol, who made our reservations. After 2 wks of almost daily phone calls with more questions from me, upon meeting Carol, I felt we were already friends. Just a great attitude and always a smile on her face. Janelle, who shuttled us each evening to local restaurants, suggested places to eat. Listen to her! Each place we dined was terrific - all suggested by Janelle. All of what is written above should be enough of a review, but one of the best things we liked was the interaction with the other guests in the evenings at the wine tastings and in the mornings at breakfast. Everyone shared their stories of their visit. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend Wine Country Inn to family and friends!

Great location, superb breakfast, and transportation to and back from dinner...the amenities are unmatched!

We paid a little extra for a balcony & vineyard views and it was very worth it. After bringing bottles of wine home from our tastings, there was nothing better than sipping it on the balcony or in the hot tub later at night. The inn provides wine glasses, wine openers, has a beverage fridge (honor system) and even found us beers when we needed something other than wine! The pool is big, the breakfasts that they serve are delicious and the location was perfect as we did most tour & tastings in the Yountville/ Rutherford area. I would definitely return again.....and I'm just not saying that because I'm a cat lover either :) (they have 2 cats on the premise that are adorable!)

The perfect getaway if you are looking to get away from it all. Beautiful gardens, great views, clean rooms, wonderful breakfasts and simple appetizers in the evenings. The only downfall was when the room above had guests--heavy feet and pounding. We thought they would come thru the ceiling. Voices also traveled through the walls--must have been loud talkers as we didn't hear the guests who came in the next day.

Pleasant staff. The room was spacious and there was a pull out sofa for our third member from the sitting area. View of the vineyard; sitting on the balcony was so relaxing. Wonderful breakfast included with a great variety from boiled eggs and fruit to quiche and salmon cream cheese spread. So good! Wine reception with a lot of good appetizers. We found the size of the property large enough to have our personal space and be by ourselves if we chose, and at the same time small enough that we got to meet some great people over breakfast and at the reception and we got to know each other well! Lovely premises. Was met while the wine was being poured in the lobby. Delightful. The check in woman was a tad rude, but the delightful Chef/Cook was very friendly and funny.

The grounds of this establishment are absolutely stunning. This place makes for the perfect romantic getaway. While very luxurious, don't expect a top rate concierge, however. There was one person at the front desk and he "got too busy" to make our dinner reservations, which ended up putting us in the last seating of the night. That said, nothing can take away from the escape The Harvest Inn offers. We will definitely stay again and would recommend this place to others.

my newly wed wife and I decided to make this our honey moon trip and it was amazing the inn keepers were so friendly. We are going to come back as much as we possibly can. Anniversary Trip to wine country - excellent place to base oneself

Nice place, must admit I do not have a good perspective on other inns and spas in the Napa are.

We stayed at the Wine Country Inn during May 2011 as a college graduation present to my daughter. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms comfortable and charming, the views and grounds were gorgeous. Each day, the inn offers a different, delicious breakfast. Each afternoon, guests can enjoy a complimentary wine tasting with hors d'oeuvres. The inn is not in the middle of town, but just outside town in the midst of the vineyards. A highlight for us was the inn's offering of spa services, including massages in a cabana overlooking the vineyard. I would return, and would love to see the area in every season.

Stayed here for a weekend in early May...absolutely fantastic. Rooms are clean, big and have beautiful views. The staff was incredibly helpful with everything and you really feel important. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wine Country Inn at St. Helena has a great location and views of mountains and vineyards. Great garden and vegetation around the grounds. Walking distance to Duckhorn Winery, Silverado Brewing Company, and Freemark Abbey tasting room. My aunt and ma bought two bags each of the granola. They really liked it. My husband liked the breakfast buffet and happy hour. Nice touch they provided complimentary wine tastings to some local wineries and free shuttle for dinner in the afternoon. Certain rooms are roomy and have a view but with soft older bed. Other rooms are small with outdated bathroom but a firmer bed. Go for the location and the beautiful grounds that include a POOL because the rooms could be a hit or a miss.

My husband and I stayed at the Wine Country Inn, April 2011. It was wonderful, they went out of their way to help you select winery's and restaurants and were very knowledgable about the area. Breakfast was delightful and they had a different winery in every evening from 4:30 - 6:00 for a wine tasting and appetizers. One of the added features of this inn that we really enjoyed was the restaurant shuttle. They dropped you off for dinner and picked you up when you were done. I would highly recommend staying at this inn.

Nice inn that successfully pulls off being somewhere between a teeny b&b and a full blown resort. The slightly chintzy decor and faux cottagey feel of the service and setting were not to our taste, but were exactly ad advertised and good if you like that sort of thing, so no complaints there. Main issue we had was that around $400 a night, you could easily stay at one of the bigger name resorts and get a lot more for your money. The free shuttle service is a great touch.

Thank you for your comments about being a nice combination of B&B and resort. That is exactly what we are trying to accomplish. We consider ourselves a Boutique Hotel. As to value (as opposed to price) I will gladly go toe to toe with any other lodging in the Napa Valley. In my opinion our free breakfast and free afternoon wine social are better that any. Our free restaurant shuttle, well, no one else is even offering this service. Our location, off the highway, surrounded by vineyards, again, in the Napa Valley there is no hotel that even comes close to our views or serenity. There is no doubt that our rates are expensive, but for "value", I will match my staff and my services against anyone.

Our stay was wonderful, as was the Wine Country Inn. That expected, this is what I expected, based on recommendations I received and based on the price. The service was tremendous, however, and deserves special mention. The breakfasts were special and simple, with great coffee, food, and seating availability.

Loved everything about the place. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast meals were fantastic and we loved taking home the recepies.

The initial contact was far less than enjoyable (kelly) but after that everything was great and the other staff were quite helpful.

We enjoyed the room and grounds as much as going to the wineries! Watching the sunrise from our deck, swinging on the grounds swing in the afternoon, wandering the gardens, and the fabulous granola- all made for a memorable stay. We will definitely come again.

The staff was excellent and made every process such as checking in and which restaurant to choose, effortless. The afternoon wine tasting and morning breakfast had quite a few food choices which was more than what we had expected. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My husband and I had massages in the gazebo and the ladies did a wonderful job in making us feeling relaxed. Our room was charming and comfortable. It was wonderful to open our patio door and window for fresh air and enjoy the beautiful view. We will definitely be coming back for another get away.

The Wine Country Inn is perfectly located between St. Helena and Calistoga. It is a lovely property with many amenities - even ear plugs for sleeping during harvest and other times when wind machines are used, etc. Wine at night with delicious appetizers, fabulous breakfast, and free transport to any of 12 restaurants so you don't have to drive after drinking wine. Super friendly staff. What more could one ask?

Gosh, where to begin, from the moment we arrived at the Wine Country Inn there was this sense of peace and a relaxing vibe. The Inn is surrounded by picturesque vineyard landscapes and was designed with the patron in mind. Our room was medially priced compared to the price of the rooms/suites/lodges, that the Inn has to offer, but exceeded our expectation. (And you will find a board game under your bed..ours was Twister..(FUN!! on a honeymoon) The room was impeccably kept and whatever additions we needed (extra wine glasses!) were at our personal disposal at the Inn's main office/social area. My husband and I left after three days to stay at another Inn closer to our final destination and were immediately disappointed and lusted for the Wine Country Inn again. Jim is not just the owner but a gracious host and his staff is just Top Notch. Not only are the grounds and facilities ingratiating and invigorating but offer a level of privacy that left us able to experience all the Inn had to offer. The homemade food; hearty breakfast and scrumptious snacks, are like Mom makes (or you wish she would). Well, if this doesn't wet your appetite for all things Soul Satisfying than I don't know what will. Thank You Wine Country Inn!!!!

Truly and amazing place. Attention to service top notch. I had high expectations on my first trip to the Napa area, and WCI helpd in exceeding them. They did an amazing job. I will be back, no question.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn, I only have one complaint. Our fridge had not been cleaned out. We asked the front desk to have it cleaned while we were at dinner and it was not cleaned out when we returned. It wasn't the biggest deal to me considering it was only one night and I wasn't going to be using the fridge anyway BUT the room was $400 a night and I would expect for that price for things to be taken care of. The grounds are beautiful, loved the hot tub on our patio, the wine/appetizers and breakfast were fantastic. I just wish for the money that our fridge was clean and if not at least done after we went to dinner when we asked.

I talked to my staff and found out that my night desk innkeeper asked our evening housekeeper to clean out your refrigerator, but that something was apparently lost in translation into Spanish. Another of my staff commented that she goes on-line to a free translation site to make sure she is understood. Thanks to you we have a new system for all of our staff to use!! You have helped solve a problem that has perplexed us for many, many years and, with the advent of computers, it was so simple!
