The Barrett's Hilltop Cottage

If you want to feel utterly at home, while you're away, you could not do better than this charming, spacious, immaculate cottage ~ complete with outdoor patio and vast views all the way to the ocean. Serene comfort, with all the amenities ~ just wonderful (people too).

Gracious hosts Robin and Aidan welcomed us to the hilltop cottage next to their own home. They provided maps and directions and had stocked the fridge for our breakfast on the porch. Their new puppy provided entertainment on the open wildflower patch where we also watched 3 hot air balloons.

Peaceful, home-like cottage with wide views across a valley to the Pacific Ocean. Unqualified recommendation!

We were happily surprised with The Barrett's Place, both the location and amenities were outstanding. It was very clean and roomy, beautiful decor, and friendly hosts. Hope to come back again.

The owners, Robin and Adam, were a delight and the cottage was fully equipped, extremely clean and had a beautiful aspect and view to Del Mar Beach. We would definitely stay again and were very sad leaving.

Robin and Aiden's place is as comfortable as home, but pristinely clean and in a fantastic setting. The Barretts are terriffic, thoughtful, friendly hosts. If they had a cottage in every city, we would never stay anywhere else. We can't wait to come back -- hopefully next time for a more extensive stay.

My husband and I stay here June 18-21. It was such a comfortable and tastefully decorated cottage. Quiet. The Innkeepers thought of every detail. I hope we can go again. Great value.

Lovely, private accommodation. Cottage separate from main house. Easy access to freeway for travel to beaches, downtown, etc.

We had a great time, the bungalow was lovely, fresh flowers, wine, and snacks were very welcoming. Would certainly return sometime!

We had a wonderful experience in a perfect setting. The cottage was spacious and felt very much like home. Robin and Aidan were very kind.

This is a wonderful place to stay! It makes you feel like you have your own little retreat, instead of staying at a crowded over-priced hotel. No neighbors and no fighting for a parking spot. We loved it, and the Barret's are wonderful hosts who are there if you need them but othewise let you enjoy your pivacy.

What made this a stay to remember?? Robin and Aidan were the best hosts we have ever had. After 3 days it seemed we had known them forever. Wonderful cottage which seemed like a house. Beautiful grounds.... wonderful close to everything... yet... very quiet. Highly recommend this wonderful place. Thank you Robin and Aidan for your wisdom . Will see you again.

The cottage is so charming and roomy! The grounds are meticulous and beautiful. The best part of our stay is the wonderful hosts, Robin and Aidan. They have become very dear friends whom we cherish.

You will be excited and amazed on arrival and their hospitality and friendliness could be the B&B gold standard!

Great place to stay. The picture does not do this justice. It is a delightful cottage with an ocean view directly inland form Torrey Pines St. Beach. The Barrett's are exceptional people. I cannot recommend this too highly.

We were more than delighted by the quality and cleanliness of the property. Robin and Aidan were fabulous and interesting hosts. The property is situated in a very smart and quiet area within easy reach of many amenities, especially Escondido and San Diego. We cannot recommend The Barret's Place highly enough and will certainly consider returning at some stage.

The above inn was recommended to us by another couple who had stayed there and were very complimentary. We enjoyed our time there very much. The cottage was very comfortable and it was convenient for our needs. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will probably return there.
