You are invited to enjoy warm Scottish hospitality in the historic Henry S. Morey house, built in 1859. It is a gracious, rambling, one-story estate, surrounded by a 2 acre wooded glen. Comfortably furnished and decorated with Scottish antiques, GlenMorey House provides a quiet, relaxing retreat for our guests.
Named for Scotland's capital city, the Edinburgh is our most elegant room, also thought of as our "bridal suite". It is decorated in shades of ivory, gold, and sage, and has a beautiful carved antique marble fireplace. Area rugs grace the original hardwood floors. Its large, adjoining bathroom contains a bathtub with a shower. An extra twin may be placed in this room. 3rd person is $20.00 per night!
Our St. Andrews suite is a very inviting room decorated in restful blue and white . It is furnished with a pine armoire, queen sized four poster bed and faux fireplace. The Showpiece of this room is it's grand bath, which is the size of a small bedroom and fitted with a newly restored antique clawfoot tub and ladies' vanity.
The Inverness is our largest room and exudes comfort with plush wall to wall carpeting and decor of roses and pastels, and (new!) our only king-sized bed. This room also contains an extra twin and trundle bed, comfortably sleeping four persons. A white wicker sitting area invites window gazing at treetop level. This room has a private adjoining bathroom with a shower, recently remodeled in 2005! 3rd & 4th guests are $20.00 per person, per night.
Our most versatile room! A suite of two rooms and private bath with jetted tub and shower. One room contains a full sized bed, and the other may be configured in four different ways; as a King sized bed, a twin bed, two twin beds, or a private sitting room sofa.

Our stay was quick and easy. The house was very clean and the room was quaint and comfortable. The breakfast was right on time and the innkeepers were there when we needed them.

We had so much fun and we really loved the Inverness room. You wont be unhappy with your stay and walking distance to Main street with tons of dining and quaint shops.

Great access to downtown shopping and restaurants via an easy walk. Driving to area winery tasting rooms also very nice. El Dorado County's wine makers are the best in the nation, and GlenMorey House is a perfect home away from home to enjoy it all.
