You are invited to enjoy warm Scottish hospitality in the historic Henry S. Morey house, built in 1859. It is a gracious, rambling, one-story estate, surrounded by a 2 acre wooded glen. My gf and I stopped for a quick stay last weekend and really enjoyed the place. It is located in a great setting with a foot bridge nearby that takes you directly to town. Tom the owner was a good host and seems to do it all there. Our only complaint is that the trash was not removed from the bathroom (full of cigarette butts...) and he didn't take the $20 off the bill when we paid it, even though we reserved the room that way.

We've been several times at this lovely inn, and were pleased with the service and accommodations. As it is close to Old Town Placerville (possible to walk) there are many shops and restaurants easily accessible. When one of us felt ill and couldn't make it to breakfast, the innkeeper graciously made a plate to take back to the room. This was much appreciated. The specials made it a bargain mid-week (check website). We'll certainly return!

Great price, great food and friendly innkeeper. Was available when we needed something but didn't hover. The inn is charming and located close to amenities but you still feel like you are away from it all.

The owners are very hospitable, the decor was delightful, the food was delicious and we had a wonderful time. We would recommend this B and B and do plan to return ourselves.
