My husband and I recently stayed at Dunning Ranch in the one bedroom suite, it was perfect for us. The Ranch is off the beaten path, so you can expect peace and quiet. The place is cute, amenities are all there, as well complimentary snacks. We would recommend Dunning Ranch to friends, and return ourselves.

If you want a peaceful, storybook cottage setting, quiet and away from it all, this is the perfect place. Beautiful big oak trees shade nature trails, deer wandering around. We loved the coziness of Suite 1. Our host, Christine, even supplied us with cream instead of 1/2 and 1/2 for our coffee, at my request! They aim to please.

Dunning Ranch Guest Suites met and exceeded all our expectations. It was so quiet and private - we literally had the place to ourselves (except for the sweet black cat who slept on the front porch wicker chair each day). The historic house was delightful - it still retains it's charming, traditional "farmhouse" architecture of the 1930's, although the interior has been modernized to include every convenience we needed. Although the location is slightly "off the beaten path" it is still within 5-10 minutes of all the best wineries and only 10-15 minutes at most from downtown Paso Robles and Templeton. We tried two of the recommended restaurants, McPhee's and Artisan, and they both lived up to their reputation. Great getaway adult weekend!

The cottage had a beautiful setting. We woke up to deer outside our window! Loved it!

We have stayed many times in both suite 1 and in suite 2. The first time you arrive it's a little hard to find, but that's part of the charm. Once you're there, it's wonderfully private, quiet and serene. Christine, the inkeeper, is friendly and courteous. She takes wonderful care of the place. The freindly cat, Charlie, is the icing on the cake.

Dunning Ranch Guest Suites provided us with the perfect stay for our first trip to Paso Robles this past weekend. It was a little drive up the hill, but the seclusion of the property made it all the more relaxing. We woke up to a family of deer roaming by the yard. Bedding and furnishings in the suite were comfortable and made it easy for us to feel at home away from home. Christine, the innkeeper, was very nice and gave us lots of tips on where to go and coupons for free wine tastings. My girlfriend and I stayed in suite 1. We had a fun romantic weekend and I felt real proud of myself for booking this place.

This is a gorgeous little cottage on Dunning Vineyards. We stayed in Suite 2, which has a full kitchen. Christine stocks the fridge with a great selection of breakfast items and snacks. The front porch is lovely and it's so relaxing to enjoy a glass of wine there. Also a great BBQ area outside.

I came up to Paso Robles mid week to get away for a few days and unwind and relax with my boyfriend and his parents. It was our first time at Dunning Ranch and it will definitely not be our last. The cabin was very clean, plenty of fresh towels and a fully stocked refrigerator. We even cooked dinner there one night. Plenty of space for the four of us. Two good side bedrooms and great space in the living area as well including a great front porch. I could not have picked a better spot to stay. So quiet and peaceful and the starry nights are irresistable. Thank you Dunning Ranch for a wonderful vacation!! Julie Soto Temple City, CA.

As veterans we can not say enough how much we appreciate you giving us a complimentary stay at your ranch suites. It was absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed our selves greatly. The room was imaculate and tastefully appointed. We loved the jacuzzi tub and the large private deck with views of the winery and many deer that grazed on the property. We highly recommend Dunning Ranch Suites. We still can not belive your generosity and that you did this for us. Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My girlfriend and I along with our small Chihuahua spent two nights at the Ranch. We loved the rooms and the facility. We stayed in the downstair 2 bedroom suite which had a full kitchen, a inviting living room with fireplace, and even a christmas tree. We could tell the owners really try to make this place special for thier guest. The location was far enough away from Paso Robles and neighbors to give us the break we needed from our normal lives. While at the ranch it rained and was still wonderful. One of the cool things about the place it there were deers roaming everywhere - about 10 or so. There were also wild Turkeys that visited us one morning. Food placed for us was complete and fresh and they even gave us a bottle of Champagne. Of course their wines were available to us which we purchased and enjoyed last night with our dinner. The wine was as great as our stay. We will be going back next year.

It was a place you felt at home in. Working with Jim and Angela was easy and honest. We travel all over the world. This was one of our many best experiences. So private and so relaxing. Ann Lee & Tom Nee

We stayed two nights for a wine tasting get away. This is an end of the road quiet place. It is absolutely beautiful country with deer and wild turkey roaming the property. There is nothing to hear at night except the wildlife. You won't hear a single car. The rooms were average and if you are looking to be taken care of constantly this probably is not the place for you. My girlfriend and I were there to enjoy each other and there was plenty of time for that. We will definitely be back.

We were very happy with the house. It had every thing we need it and more. The owner is extremly accomodating. Can't say enough good things about it. It's very woodsy and quiet. With wild life around. Their wine is very good. We joinned the club, our friends did also. We have been wine tasting for a long while all over the world and this wine is good. Liked the Syrah and the Chardonnay, for me it was the best. Enjoy it! Maria

Upon arrival the atmosphere is relaxed and hospitable. Having arrived from Nor-Cal, I felt that I might have stepped into a time warp. Paso Robles wineries are a great place to getaway, unlike the crowds in the Napa area. Peaceful. Dunning Guest Suites was nicely tucked away, and yet close to everything. You won't regret it, this place has character!

This place is beautiful. You wake up and it feels like you're camping. Amazing surroundings, the most comfortable rooms, a cozy fireplace... I can't say enough about it. I'm almost afraid to spread the word by posting this.

I highly recommend this place for a couple of reasons. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, which is always an important part of staying anywhere away from home. Also, the cottage itself is adorable, set at the end of a country road with rolling vineyards, large beautiful oak trees and deer in the yard. This place is also a great value and I hope they stay that way!

Like your own private country place, in an amazing setting. Truly magical! I'd go back in a flash.

We stayed in the upstairs 1br last winter, and are headed back this year with some friends to stay in the bottom 2br, and we can't wait! It is definitely quiet and peaceful, and perfect to 'come home' to after a long day touring the area.

My boyfriend and I recently went up to Paso Robles for a long weekend, and were pleasantly surprised to find the Dunning Ranch & Guest Suites. There are a lot of choices in Paso, but I would highly recommend this guesthouse. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, very secluded, and you feel like you are in your own house. Jim and Angela are always around if you need them, but for the most part, you are left alone and it is totally private. The upstairs unit is especially cute, as you have your own private deck and you feel like you are in a tree house. They are also willing to loan out the BBQ if you don't want to make the trek into town everynight. Coupled with the Dunning's great wine, you can't beat the value and accommodations. We will be back!

I enjoyed this B&B very much...it was placed right in the middle of forest and grapevines. It was relaxing, quiet and very well kept. We were able to enjoy food and drinks on the outside patio as well as the enclosed patio. I would definitely visit again in the near future.
