Everything was great! The place was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, the coffee kept flowing, we met a few great people and had a wonderful time. If you've never been to Point Reyes, you should go. It's an incredible place and Roundstone is a great home base while you hike and explore the park. A beautiful place with a gracious host. We'll be back.

My husband and I have been to Roundstone Farm many times. It is our absolute favorite place to go. The inn looks out over peaceful Olema Valley to the tip of Tomales Bay. Everyone there works to provide you with privacy and quiet comfort and to help you enjoy amazing Point Reyes and its abundance of wildlife. A sample of wildlife seen just looking out the window of our room: families of deer and quail and a tiny hummingbird perched in the top of a bush for a moment next to a towering great blue heron. Bird lovers, take note; you especially will think you’re in heaven here. As you explore the grounds: Stroll through the garden. Sit on the deck. Listen to the bullfrogs singing in the little pond down the hill. Watch the sun go down as the fog rolls over Mount Wittenberg. That’s the big, very big, hill across the way. (When you pack, be sure to bring a bottle of wine, sunglasses, and a hat with a brim.) Peruse the inn’s creditable library. Soak in the hot tub. I will admit, wi-fi is spotty; you’re not in the middle of civilization, thank goodness. In the morning, your ever-gracious host Frank will serve you a relaxed and hearty breakfast and entertain you with choice bits of local lore, and you will no doubt finalize your plans for a memorable day of sightseeing and hiking. The whole Point Reyes National Seashore area is purposely protected to feel like a step back in time. A friendly suggestion: Reserve more than 1 night. We have breakfasted with many people who were sorry to be moving on because they only made plans to stay overnight. My husband and I now stay for 3 nights each time we go to Roundstone Farm. By then we are blissfully relaxed and de-stressed. We once managed to book all 5 bedrooms of the inn for a reunion of old friends from the East Coast. Everything was great.

We had a very nice stay at this cozy B&B. I was not anticipating such personal service. The innkeepers provided a wealth of local information. The location is ideal, the grounds are lovely, the homey decorations are enchanting, and the breakfast is delicious. Sadly the hot tub was broken during our stay -- I hope they can remedy it soon. But otherwise very enjoyable stay.

Very cozy little place to stay. The garden is beautiful- hundreds of red winged blackbirds flew by our window in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, and it was nice to meet the other guests. The owners were also very helpful and nice!

Our stay at Roundstone Farm B&B Inn was just perfect. We stayed for a few days to explore Marin County and chose the Roundstone Inn for it's location, which was very convenient, especially if you are planning to go to the Point Reyes National Seashore. The owner of the Inn, Frank, was very helpful and flexible with check in and out, cordial and pleasant to talk to. His breakfasts were tasty and filling. The room was light-filled, and pleasantly furnished. It had a comfortable bed and fireplace. We also enjoyed using a hot tub in the garden behind the Inn. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and will return when we are in the area again.

The Roundstone Farm is our favorite retreat. The day begins with a delicious, homemade breakfast. Frank is there cooking and telling newcomers the history of the area and making recommendations on everything from hiking trails to dining spots. We enjoyed several days of hiking on nearly deserted beaches, soaking in a hot tub at dusk and reading by a crackling fireplace in our room at night. Life doesn't get much better than this!

Our room was modest but more than adequate. The views are great, the hot tub is private and soothing, and the small size of the inn (5 rooms) ensures a quite, relaxing stay. Frank's breakfasts are really, really good.

Had the opportunity to spend several days in Point Reyes and chose the Roundstone Farn B & B as our lodging. We loved it! The place was very clean, the breakfast delicious, a very convienent location if exploring Point Reyes and surrounding area. The gardens were lovely and I especially enjoyed watching all of the birds that frequent them. Our host, Frank, was gracious, welcoming, a good cook and a fun one to talk to during breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return.

As an experienced B&B er, I found Roundstone Farm B&B Inn to be head and shoulders above my many experiences. The common areas are large, visually attractive, beckoning, tastefully decorated, the room comfortable, clean and the bathroom has all of the modern conveniences (thank you!). The breakfast was outstanding..stumptious by anyone's standards and the host hospitable and delightful. I would love to be a return guest and would recommend this inn to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed in Bay Room and it was clean and very well decorated. The stay included a wonderful home-made breakfast. The owners are very kind and accesible, always looking for your comfort. I do recommend the stay in this inn. I will repeat!

The Inn is well set up for privacy and quiet in each room. The common areas are small, but relaxed. Our innkeepers were pleasant and great company during our breakfast. I would recommend to anyone looking for a informal relaxed visit.

The Inn at Roundstone Farm was a perfect home base for a long weekend around Pt. Reyes and Tomales Bay. Frank and Karen are excellent hosts and Frank serves a great breakfast. Sitting in the hot tub with a fantastic view after a day of hiking or horseback riding was icing on the cake. I don't think I've felt so relaxed on a vacation ever.
5 on May 26, 2014
We spent two nights at the Roundstone Farm and hated to leave. The B&B itself is warm and welcoming with a comfortable sitting area and beautiful gardens just outside. There is coffee available 24 hrs via a Keurig and there was even plenty of decaf stocked for us caffeine averse people! The sitting area was a great place to sit in the evening or morning and talk with the other guests. Breakfast was great. Frank, the owner and innkeeper did an amazing job with a frittata one morning and stuffed French toast the next and abundant fresh fruit as a first course. The room was great, plenty of space for all our "stuff" and a really comfortable bed, the room was extremely clean and fresh as was the entire place. Definitely a great start to our trip up the Northern California Coast. We highly recommend staying here and if we are ever back we would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful visit to Roundstone Farm. The views are amazing - with cows and deer visibly out our bedroom window. Frank was very personable and gave good recommendations of what to visit in the area. The breakfast food was delicious!

Excellent host, location, setting, and food. We had some of the best breakfasts ever. Perfect location for exploring Point Reyes. The views out of the Ridge Room were perfect. I recommend that particular room highly.

Frank and Karen know how to make their guests feel at home! I have stayed at Roundstone Farm B&B about 10 times. It is always perfect!! Frank has excellent knowledge of the area and can answer all of your questions. I cannot think of any changes I would make. You are in for a treat!

Roundstone is an excellent location for a home base to explore wonderful West Marin. The innkeeper-owner Frank is an engaging host; from oysters to crows the conversation flows and is stimulated by his intimate knowledge of his property and the region's delightful destinations and confounding politics in the interface between federal jurisdiction and local property ownership. A compassionate steward of an amazing place, Frank opens a portal both to vacation and to involvement in some of the best the Bay Area has to offer.
4.4 on April 30, 2014
The B&B was conveniently located within a short drive of Pt. Reyes. The owners were extremely friendly and the rooms were nice. The garden and hot tub behind the house are a lovely place to relax in the evening. The only drawback was that breakfast was served at one specific time and it was a set meal, so it may be tough if you have specific food needs (although I imagine if you told them ahead of time they would be willing to accommodate your needs). Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would not hesitate to go back!

Great host: Appreciated easy-going, friendliness. Very efficiently run. Not snooty. Great location: beautiful view of surrounding landscapes from room. Felt like you're out in the country but are only a few blocks or a few miles from local towns. Loved the spacious rooms with a homey touch and the surrounding gardens. It turned out to be an unexpectedly lovely and relaxing stay.

Overall, our weekend experience at Roundstone Farm was delightful, serene and exceeded my expectations. Frank and Karen's responses during the reservation process were quick and welcoming. Upon arrival they explained very clear and encouraging instructions regarding our stay. The rooms and common areas are full of character and quirkiness, and not overbearing or cluttered at all. The surrounding land is gorgeous, well-attended and full of charming wildlife. Breakfast was an obvious highlight; Frank was cheerful, highly educated about the area (its history, attributes and politics) and great at composing a well-rounded meal. The amenities included weren't as extensive as other competitors but for the price and personality of this experience, it was a great, appropriate value. I would definitely consider returning for another stay and recommend this B&B to others.

We stayed one night at the Inn at Roundstone Farm, and have a really lovely experience. Frank was a wonderful host, and his breakfast is delicious. Having fireplaces in all of the rooms is a great touch, too! Also -- REALLY comfortable beds. My one tiny complaint is that we missed the window on the hot tub -- next time we'll plan accordingly and make sure to fit it in.

My wife and I spent a restful weekend at Roundstone Inn, unwinding from the busyness of urban life and drinking in the natural beauty. For those who enjoy simple pleasures, don't need lots of luxury, and can supply their own electronic entertainment (or do without), this is an ideal retreat. Innkeeper Frank fixes breakfast himself, then joins the guests at the large communal table for conversation. Beautiful views of nature from the inn, a quick and easy drive to the small quiet town of Olema at the entrance to Point Reyes, bucolic drives up or down Hwy 1, plenty of hiking trails, and good country dining spots with local seafood and dairy specialties were the highlights for us. Enjoyed an evening dip in the outdoor hot tub and flickering fire in the room morning and evening (even if it was just a Presto-log). Definitely did not miss the TV, even though the Winter Olympics were on. Private bathroom with shower/tub was clean and roomy with gorgeous view of moon over Mt. Wittenburg through the window (Ridge Room). Robes and slippers provided for lounging in room or trip to hot tub or refrigerator and kitchen downstairs. I prefer my pillows plumper, but still had a good night's sleep. Great location for quiet reading, if you can make time between visiting all the local attractions.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Roundstone Farm B&B. It was a great B&B to unwind and leave work pressures behind. The recent weather made the area around Tomales Bay, Point Reyes Lighthouse and Stinson Beach the perfect place to start the New Year. And..Frank cooks a great breakfast and tells great farm stories!

Frank is an outstanding host. We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and had a great view. The hot tub is relaxing. The breakfasts were delicious! We have stayed in other hotels in the area, and this one is by far the best! We will for sure be staying here again. :)

Very nice, well appointed B and B. We had the Bay room which was nice and big with a view. In the evening we were the only ones in the hot tub, the in was quiet, and it felt like it was our exclusive retreat. The bed was very comfortable and was fun to wake up to mooing cows! The breakfast was served family style with plenty to eat, all fresh and very tasty. Frank was very knowledgable about the local hikes and was a big help. The only negative was the rooms (or at least the one we were in) needs an update.

Roundstone B & B Inn was like being welcomed home to your favorite Uncle Frank's house (and Auntie Karen's too)! The house, bright with light, warm with comfort and views to explore, opens it's doors to a wonderful experience away! Close to the most incredible CA bountiful scenery, fine dining and outdoor activities, just one night will not fulfill your need to take it all in. Getting to know Frank and Karen during your stay, will gain you two new friends and repeated stays in your future.... Frankie

This is a very quaint B&B in Olema. The Vision room was large, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. Frank, our host, cooked us a delicious breakfast, gave us some hints for activities in the area, and imparted some birding knowledge on us all before 9a.m.! The B&B is walking distance from the few restaurants in Olema, and a short drive from Point Reyes Station and Tomales Bay. I highly recommend the Roundstone Farm, and I would stay there again!

We recommend this Inn without reservation. The rooms are clean, charming, and comfortable. Our room (Ridge) was great: windows faced pasture and meadow, had a fireplace (which we used both nights) and plenty of towels and robes. Breakfast, however, was limited to the one dish the host prepared for all guests; no choices if you didn't like it and no seconds if you did. The location in the tiny town of Olema was perfect for us: near the entrance to Point Reyes and home to "Sir and Star at the Olema" an excellent quirky restaurant featuring very local fare.

This bed and breakfast is heaven for those who seek a breather from stress. The setting in the hills near Point Reyes is spectacular, and the inn itself provides gorgeous views at every turn. It's obvious that the innkeepers have devoted thought and effort to provide an environment that combines comfort and esthetics. Frank the innkeeper is a great conversationalist as well.

Upon arrival at this gorgeous property there was tea and coffee awaiting us in a beautiful and eclectic living room that had large windows overlooking the mountains and golden fields. My partner and I sat on the patio where we enjoyed not only the views, but a bottle of wine. Our room was lovely and VERY ROMANTIC with the fireplace and views of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. My favorite part was the hot tub which was extremely clean and also had incredible views looking at the mountains and the fields. Frank made us breakfast every morning which was delicious! I also enjoyed our long conversations. He is a very warm person and extremely intelligent. I cannot wait to come back here. I feel refreshed and recharged from my visit.

This B&B is ideally situated for those visiting the Point Reyes National Park. The park is about a 5-10 minute drive and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance with additional places just a short drive away in the small town of Point Reyes Station. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The garden in the back is an added treat. The owner throws out seeds each morning attracting lots of local birds. We would definately recommend this B&B to family & friends. Mike & Arlene

From the rooms and their views, the enclosed hot tub with a view of the valley, the well-appointed rooms with robes and towels for the hot tub, the spacious light-filled, high-ceiling common room, the two outdoor decks for relaxing, to the hospitable inn keeper and his wonderful breakfast: all was a delight and I would definitely return. Breakfast only, though there is space in the refrigerator for a few items for guests to keep. A wine opener and glasses are also available for guests to use, a bonus in this wine-loving area. Walking distance to the park.

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious and very inviting are the common rooms and the sleeping rooms at this B & B, set in the bucolic countryside of West Marin. All of this loveliness is highlighted and bound together by the bright and luscious breakfasts prepared each morning by one of the charming owners, Frank -- fresh coffee and tea, fresh orange juice, a serving of cubed fresh fruit, freshly-baked bread, and one or two hot dishes, e.g., apple pancakes, bacon, cottage cheese quiche, all served to the guests, seated together at the large, oval dining room table. This is a lovely well kept house with beautiful grounds. The host, Frank, is in the house next door but is ever available and full of information about the area. The location is a few minutes from the Point Reyes Visitor Centre, a great starting point. Frank's breakfast are pretty simple: one seating at 8:30, you get what you are served, no choices but we enjoyed everything. Even got Frank's recipe for German Apple Pancakes. We did not ask but I expect you can help yourself to food if you want to get an early start. You have access to a nice stocked kitchen. We stored our picnic items in the fridge and got takeout one night and ate on the deck with a beautiful view of the sunset and gardens. Bird watching is a treat at Roundstone as well! We would go back for sure We had the pond room which was lovely, but in hindsight I would request a higher room - the Pond room is close to the kitchen and has guests above so is a little noisy. Also the wifi signal is weak there but is fine elsewhere in the house. Very comfortablle bed though!

My wife and I live in SF and visit Pt. Reyes every few months. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Roundstone. Beautiful grounds, great location, delicious and nutritious breakfasts, and a hot tub with a view. Most importantly, we never fail to meet interesting people from all over the country and world. Breakfast conversation is often inspired, helped by owner Frank's amazing expertise on the area, wildlife, plants, local politics, points of interest...all shared over a multi-course homemade breakfast. Highly recommended. This a a great home-base for exploring the vast protected wilderness of Point Reyes.

We had a nice two-night stay at the Roundstone Farm. The owners are very friendly, and co-owner and chef Frank sat down and had breakfast with us each morning. We also enjoyed our fellow guests very much, some of whom were repeat visitors. However, the bed, pillow and bedspread were not very comfortable, resulting in two poor nights of sleep. Ironically, we came hoping to have two nights of restful bliss, but left wanting to get a good night's sleep in our own beds at home. I would guess that the cause of this is that the beds and bedding are old.

Everything I read about the Inn at Roundstone Farm was true - and even better than that. It was absolutely what a bed and breakfast should be. Hospitable, homey, comfortable, clean. It was everything we wanted in Marin - peace and quiet. An awesome view of the valley. And Frank is a fabulous chef and inn keeper. If you are going to that part of the world, be sure to stay there. You won't regret it.

I would recommend Roundstone Farm to my friends! Excellent location for exploring Point Reyes. Very comfortable, spacious, and quiet. I stayed in the Ridge Room and had excellent views of the hills as well as Tomales Bay which is about 2 miles down the valley, and we couldn't see any lights-not from another house, or a passing car, or the town down the hill. Very, very, peaceful. The house was built specifically as a B&B, so the bedrooms in this split level, hillside house are not right next to each other. Full size bathroom, fireplace in the room. Fresh, hot, breakfast was excellent!!!! Large, comfortable living room with same excellent views.

My husband and I took a short trip and spent the night at this B&B. Our room had a lot of light and also had a cozy fireplace. The B&B grounds are really pretty and quaint. There is a hot tub we soaked in that faces a really pretty meadow and pond. That was by far our favorite touch and one of the reasons we'd stay here again. Breakfast consisted of oj, an egg with spinach and cheese in a ceramic dish, corn bread and fruit. All were tasty. My husband and I had breakfast outside as opposed to sitting inside with the other patrons who were discussing politics and religion at 8:45 am. If anything that's my only critique, that the table was set for us to sit down with the other patrons. Maybe that's what b&b's are all about but I prefer sitting and chatting with my company as opposed to sitting at a table with strangers. In the future I would probably just ask the owner if we can sit outside ahead of time to avoid the awkwardness of having to ask while other people are at the table.

Per a referral from a family friend, my husband and I visited Roundstone Farm for our anniversary. We were happy we did. We didn't make it in time for check-in, but no problem, Frank left us a note taped to the door welcoming us along with instructions on how to get in. Our room was upstairs, spacious, and had a view of the pond. We listened to bullfrogs and birds sing through the night. Bed was comfortable and we both slept well. Frank (a wonderful conversationalist) made us a nice, tasty breakfast in the morning of mixed fruit with yogurt, quiche, sausage, juice, and coffee. We met other guests at the breakfast table, some who were returners, and all of whom seemed very happy and satisfied. We'll be back for sure!

Everything worked out very well for our one-night stay. The room was clean and spacious; it passed our standard bed bug inspection. The bed was very comfortable, with a soft top layer. We had a delicious breakfast of stuffed French toast and heard many interesting nature stories from our host. The gardens and grounds were full of flowers and many birds. We got up-close looks at quails, scrub jays, pine siskins, California towhees, goldfinches, redwing blackbirds, and various hummingbirds (mainly Anna's).

My husband I found Roundstone Farm perfect for our two night stay which was focused on hiking. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a good view toward the bay. We loved having the fireplace, a hot tub and no television. The breakfasts were tasty and imaginative. Our host filled us in on useful local information and then off we went to hike, dine out and later, relax. We WILL be back! Tania Werbizky

We stayed two nights and used the Inn as a base for exploring the area. The Inn was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed the farm setting, the flowers, and the Olema area in general. Service was great, breakfast was enjoyable, and the owner was friendly and knowledgeable. we will return.

We were glad we choose this Inn for our stop in Point Reyes. The property is very nice, rooms clean and well appointed and the views are wonderful. The value is excellent. We will return.

The landscaping and views were beautiful, and the hot tub was a delight. The room decor is a bit dated, but we were comfortable and felt welcome. We would return!

We had a bipolar weather weekend: one day sunny, hot and upper 80s with the next cold, rainy and with a wind made the chimney rattle. The pleasure of having a fireplace in our room was second to the cleanliness and comfort of bed and bedding. We stayed in the Vision room with its broad pastoral view out corner windows. The hot tub was cozy. But the best part was the breakfast. The proprietor is charming, smart and a heck of a cook. He inspired the "family table" of guests to cover a variety of topics. He made it hard to leave. If I could make any recommendation, I'd say update a few things like wall paper. But really, if you value comfort and relaxation, staying here is a gift. Highly recommended.

My bf and I recently stayed at The Roundstone Farm B&B and I was really happy with the 2 night stay. My bf planned the whole trip and did some research on this B&B which had previously gotten good reviews. I am happy to report that they were true! Rooms were clean and spacious. The fireplace (that we were allowed to use!) was a nice touch. Our room (Ridge) had plenty of light and a lovely armoire to store suitcases/clothes if you happen to stay on a longer trip. The bathroom was spotless - especially the shower, which can be a pet peeve for me. The grounds were well kept and impressive - plenty of shrubs, wildflowers, and potted plants. The birdfeeders kept a nice flock of local birds flying around the ground during the day. The deck is a little worn but spacious and gets plenty of sunlight (in April/May). There is also a hot tub around the back of the house (we didn't use it but it did look inviting). The house itself was neat and tidy. Comfortable seating and plenty of reading material (general and for the local area). Breakfast was a treat! Every morning at 8:30a guests gathered at the dining table and ate together (if they chose). The food was fresh and homemade. The owners were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Roundstone Farm! Frank, the host, is a very good cook and so knowledgeable about the area. The dining room overlooks a beautiful garden with bird feeders and the living room area gives a view of pond, pastures, and rolling hills. Breakfasts are hearty and guests can use the refrigerator in the kitchen. The hot tub is immaculate and there are robes and slippers for guests to wear to go to the hot tub. Also, since the property is set back from the main road, the atmosphere is very peaceful. We had a wonderful visit and look forward to returning in the future.

The place was pleasant, and it is ideally located for taking walks at Point Reyes. Breakfast with the other couple staying there, and cooked by the owner, was very pleasant. The birds were really happily flying around the pond outside in the morning. I would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roundstone. The premises are clean and spacious, with lovely gardens and outdoor decks. The innkeepers are friendly and work hard behind the scenes to make their guests comfortable, and cook a delicious hearty breakfast.

We stayed at the Roundstone Farm Bed and Breakfast in April 2013. Frank, one of the owners, was absolutely wonderful. He had recommendations for hikes, spas, and where we could spot whales. Breakfast was served at one large table, so we had a chance to talk to other visitors, which was very nice. Peaceful location, great host, nice atmosphere - and great hot tub!

My husband and I had a wonderful time in the Point Reyes region thanks to the accommodations at the Roundstone Farm B&B. We took a chance at finding somewhere we could stay--with less than 2 weeks notice. Frank made our day! He welcomed us and helped make recommendations as to where to dine. The room was very comfortable and just the right size for us. The setting was very tranquil and inviting. We liked the idea of no TV in the room--it gave us a chance to enjoy each others' company and play card games together. The breakfast provided was just enough to start the day right. We will definitely want to come back for another visit. Thanks Frank!

We really enjoyed staying at Roundstone Farm. We were the only guests on Sunday and Monday nights, but Frank prepared an awesome breakfast just for us and told us all about the history and inner workings of Olema and Point Reyes. He opened the garage so we could store our tandem bicycle instead of leaving it on the car. The location is very convenient, the rooms are very comfortable, and the view from the living room/deck is great. We'll be back for sure.

We had a marvelous time hiking at Point Reyes. It was so nice to go "home" after a long day do hiking and really feel at home!

We stayed one night, mid-week. The owner, Frank, was personable and cooked a fine breakfast. The entire property was very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were a bit dated, but were larger than many B&B bathrooms and very clean with good towels. Nice pastoral views with a comfortable living room for relaxing. Bedrooms were not large, but are spacious enough with good quality beds and sheets.

Great location, lovely gardens and hot tub, and delicious breakfast. Have stayed here twice now and plan to again!
4.4 on March 05, 2013
Excellent location! Our room on the first floor was quiet even though we were under the only second level room. It overlooked the pond and saw a bit of Tomales Bay, I think. The beds were very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious, healthy and left nothing wanting. It was fun to meet all the other guests and exchange information and stories. The host / owner / chef was full of information about local history and politics. The backyard was full of plants and feeders that attracted local birds so the area was full of activity and bird songs. The hot tub was a great way to end the day! We would definitely return.

Very charming and Frank was a gracious host in addition to being a great chef. Couldn't ask for more and we will definately return.

My husband and I plan to make this our getaway spot. The land surrounding the farm is stunning. The gourmet breakfasts prepared by Frank are delicious and plentiful. You bird watch and hear stories as you enjoy breakfast. You are a short hike or drive to awesome restaurants, coffee, and hikes. The living room/common area is beautiful and cozy with plenty of good reading material. All the rooms have a view and a fireplace. Frank and Karen are very kind and accommodating, we were sad to leave and hope to stay longer for more R&R next time! Oh, how could I forget the hot tub where we enjoyed spectacular sunsets.

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Fabulous location - close enough to Point Reyes Station's amenities but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. There is a lovely sitting room for guests' use and seating outside with great views. We stayed in the Bay Room - aptly named since you have a great view of Tomales Bay from the window. Room was clean and well presented although the décor in the bathroom was a little shabby. Breakfast was OK - nothing wrong with it - it just wasn't very exciting! We would stay again.

The vaulted ceilings and large floorplans for the room made the inn feel luxurious and spacious. The enclosed hottub was private but did not feel claustrophobic. A beautiful view in the morning of the sun rising over the pond and valley. The innkeeper made delicious food for breakfast and was warm and cheery. Overall, a very nice experience.
5 on January 07, 2013
We loved our visit. At the last minute, we called Frank to let him know that we were bringing our 8-year-old nephew, and he moved us to a room with a second bed - no hassle, no problem. The Inn is great, centrally located, and Frank is charming, literate, and down to earth. We will be back.

My wife and I stayed here for New Years. Great setting, very peaceful, and close to restaurants and hiking in Pt. Reyes. Our room was tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable. The rate was very reasonable and the breakfast was delicious! Frank is a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed his knowledge and history of the surrounding area. We will definitely come back.
4.2 on December 09, 2012
My husband and I stayed there when we went hiking in the area. The place is very quiet at night, except for the "elephants" walking on the room above us. Luckily they went to bed early! It was so quiet, especially since they do not have televisions in the rooms! Our bed was extremely comfortable and we felt at home! We will definitely stay there again, but we will request an upstairs room next time.
4.2 on December 05, 2012
Beautiful location and building; very nice and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast (although a bit to slow to get on the table). A very personable host! Very helpful literature on the area in a wonderful large sitting room with great views. Most serious problem not the fault of the inn: In driving rain in a pitch black night, my GPS directed me to an empty cow pasture. Don't give up - keep driving and you will come to the Roundstone B&B. Enjoy
5 on November 21, 2012
I loved our stay here. Frank and his staff treated us like one of the family. The inn is situated atop a hill with marvelous views. We stayed in the 'Ridge Room' which overlooks pastures of grazing animals, the tiny town of Olema, the pond and the distant bay. It was comfy and clean, but listening to the hooting owls and watching the many varieties of other birds made it especially fine. I definitely will chose Roundstone again when wend that way again.

We stayed here as a stop on our honeymoon and were very happy that we chose to stay with Frank. The property was beautiful and the diversity of birds in the garden in the morning blew me away. The location is great too (so close to such a variety of activities) and I was amazed how a place so close to San Francisco could be so quiet and relaxing. My wife and I really appreciated how Frank runs the place. It was clear that he was there for anything that we needed yet at the same time we felt like had the place to ourselves (delicious breakfast too).

Great location for exploring Marin County. Easy access to Muir Woods and Point Reyes which were my priorities in the area on this visit. And breakfast was unbelievable...best meals we had by far in the 10 days in the bay area (2 days at Roundstone). Frank was extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history. Will definitely stay again if I am in the area.

We Ohioans were looking for a B&B from which to explore the wonders of Point Reyes. The Roundstone Farm B&B turned out to be the perfect place. The setting is quite scenic with much wildlife, including a bird sanctuary in the back yard. The breakfasts were excellent and the proporietor Frank Borodic was an fine host and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the area. The room was quite nice and the B&B's atmosphere very laid-back and welcoming. We met many interesting guests and enjoyed five days in Olema and the Point Reyes National Seashore, which has to be one of the most rugged and beautiful places on earth. Our stay could not have been more pleasant. Pat and Alice Quinn

Frank and Karen took good care of us. They have a clever way of receiving guests even if you arrive when they are off-site. We stayed in the Bay room and the view is really really beautiful (though more pasture than bay.) Bed was extremely comfortable with great linens, and it was very quiet at night. Location is convenient to Point Reyes park. Breakfast was nicely arranged with meats presented as a side dish, which made the meal vegetarian friendly without being awkward. Other guests were friendly and interesting. Bird watching at breakfast is amazing! Don't miss the Saltwater restaurant about 5 miles up the road in Inverness. SO GOOD.

Judith and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roundstone Farm. In addition to the physical beauty of the inn's horse's gardens, and vistas, the camaraderie at breakfast was memorable and we enjoyed learning about the area and its politics. The innkeepers are great and they attract an interesting group.

My family and I recently stayed at the Roundstone Farm for a night as we were driving by the coast in California. The site and reviews online appeared to be a good accomodation, but to me, they underestimated what was one of the best accomodations during our trip in CA! The place had been set-up in a wonderfully warm and cozy fashion, and the best part was being served a delicious breakfast in the morning and meeting the kind owners and other visitors of the B&B. Would definitely recommend it to visitors in the area!

The room we stayed in had a very comfortable bed, and was very quiet - making for great sleeping. Although the room was quite small, there was enough room for the 2 of us. Breakfast was served at 8:30 every day, and was good, but not a lot of choices, lots of fruit and fruit based dishes. Robes and slippers are provided, and there is a very comfortable common room for reading and relaxing. The hot tub was very nice, clean and not over-chlorinated. There are beautiful gardens and a lot of birds, depending on the season, a great stop for bird lovers. The owner is very knowledgable about the flora and fauna of the area.

Very delightful, clean B&B....but for a small B&B, I expect the owner to be there. We arrived with entry instructions given on a note stuck to the front door and the owner was never there. In the morning there was a breakfast prepared by an outside worker....breakfast was very modest. For a small B&B in a small community, I expected owner presence.

We really enjoyed our stay at this inn. Frank was very nice, and very easygoing. Everything was very clean, and tastefully set up. What we enjoyed the most were the animals and wildlife - we awoke to the gentle barks of coyotes in the distance, there are hummingbirds and quail in and around the property (which we watched from the hot tub) and the location is great (near Point Reyes Station and just up the hill from Olema). Someone in another review complained about the electrical station nearby - this is a non issue since you simply don't see it. Overall this was great!

This B&B has a very nice view of Tomales Bay. The hot tub is in a great location so that you can see both the sunset and Tomales Bay from it. The innkeeper is very friendly. Breakfast is together with other guests at a single big table. Our room was very nice, with a big bathroom and a wood-fired chimney.

This B&B was the highlight of our two week vacation. We stayed there at least three nights. It is clean, quiet and easy to get to. At other places we had to bare rooms that were overly deodorized and reeked of Fabreeze, etc. And at least one other inn seemed to think that they need to play elevator music in the common areas which we could hear in the room; unbelievable. Roundstone was quiet comfortable and friendly. The breakfasts were pretty tasty too! Thanks Frank!

We spent the evening in the very spacious living room. After a delicious breakfast we spent the time talking with Frank, the host and learned a lot about the area. In the hot tub area, they put in a board to hold lighting but it is so low that it is very easy to hit your head when you walk around the tub. Also, breakfast was at 8:30, which was fine, but we did not see any information about when it was provided so we had to wait for someone to show up in the morning to find out. Being in Marin Co. I was surprised that there was not an option to reuse your towels instead of having them replaced every day.

We had stayed here before, but this time we brought my brother & his wife, and we stayed longer than previously. We all enjoyed Frank's wonderful breakfasts and his congenial & entertaining chats after breakfast. These focused on everything from his keen observations of the local bird population, interactions with other wildlife and the characteristics and characters of the nearby communities. Before we left, Frank toured us around his extensive landscaping. He does his best to accommodate his guests' desires, whether they seek complete privacy or getting to know new, interesting people. Given the variety of experiences available, both at this B&B and in its surroundings, one could enjoy frequent visits to Roundstone Farm.

My husband and I chose the Roundstone Farm for a belated anniversary celebration. It exceeded both of our expectations. We wanted a quiet, scenic B & B with a fireplace that we could use in the evenings. The Roundstorm Farm provided that and more. The fog came in early making the night cool and the fireplace a wonderful treat. There is a fantastic hot tub on the grounds with a beautiful view. We took full advantage of it. Frank's breakfasts are healthy, satisfying and tasty. Frank is an intelligent, worldly man with whom I became entranced in a conversation that lasted over two hours. The quiet nights and the comfortable bed provided us with the best night's sleep we'd had in months. We will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the Roundstone Farm's Bay room for an impromptu trip up to Pt. Reyes. It is within walking distance of the tiny town of Olema, but driving distance to Pt. Reyes station. The owners are perfectly nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and well appointed (fireplace! Robes and sandals for the hot tub!), but felt a little dated. It was amazing to wake up to a view of the Bay, that and watch the sunset from the outside deck. Breakfast was good, but not outstanding. All in all, I would definitely recommend Roundstone. Its not as fancy as some other B+B's, but its a very nice place to stay in a great location with amazing views.

I recommend this sweet spot for a nice getaway when in Point Reyes. The house is large and the rooms are private. The house is surrounded with beautiful fragrant gardens and rolling fields and a little pond that is home to the frogs you will hear at night. We slept very peacefully and enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place. Frank was very helpful and politely engaging. The other review that mentions him being over involved had us concerned on our arrival but we did not find this to be true at all. He was quite pleasant, informative, and friendly and very aware of the need for privacy as well. We felt very much like we were guests in his home and felt very welcome and free to be on our own or with the others as we desired. The room (we stayed in the Bay Room) was quite comfortable and the bed was great! We stayed there, in part, because of the fireplace and the hot tub (hours on the hot tub are 10a-10p to be considerate of other guests) and enjoyed both during our stay. Frank was kind enough to waive the two night stay minimum for us and that also made a big difference for us. I understand the reason for the policy but this steared us away from a lot of nice places. We were thankful that Frank seemed to understand that not everyone from the Bay Area wants to stay both nights and we were quite happy that he accomodated us. I recommend Roundstone Farms and will visit again.

As soon as you drive up the driveway you realize the you are in the land of a master gardener. The grounds and flowers are magnificent. Add to this a view of the lake with the horses, red wing blackbirds and humming birds, swallows diving into the lake and the ducks, the cattle in the field far off, and even a hot tub in the back ...we have not ever seen anything like it. Frank, one of our hosts, was a delight, as well as an excellent chef. Our only regret was that we could only spend one day..................

I love the area but have been less than thrilled with some of my past experiences with lodging. High prices and indifferent Inn Keepers seem to be a fairly common occurrence in the area. Not so at Roundstone Farm. Attention to detail, a dedication to cleanliness and comfort and a zest for Inn Keeping makes all the difference. Frank and Karen could write the book on the Art of Inn Keeping. We arrived late at night and were greeted by the sound of frogs in Roundstone's nearby pond. The bed was beautifully laid out and very comfortable. I woke early and let David sleep in. Despite the early hour, coffee was waiting and Jude and Frank were in the kitchen busily preparing the mornings offerings. I wandered out to the front deck overlooking large pond, home to myriad frogs and some wild waterfowl. I was taken by the peaceful surroundings. A fragrant garden filled with bird and bee attracting flora surrounds the Inn & i strolled around back and unceremoniously plopped in front of the bird feeding stations. Not being a birder I couldn't tell you exactly who the visiting avians were but I spotted ruby crowned kinglets, goldfinches, bluebirds, house finches at the feeding stations and a dozen doves clowning on the gazebo's roof. Other birds appeared. Ravens, jays and robins. others too, but I couldn't tell you what they were. I decided to tap on our room's window to share this glorious early morning with Dave. We hung out in the garden for a while longer and then sat down to a yummy breakfast. It was a full house at the Inn so we opted to eat outside in the back garden. Jude served us and we felt like honored guests. We plan on returning in the near future and would wholeheartedly recommend the Inn at Roundstone Farm. Nice place Frank and Karen. Thanks and we'll be back. Barbara and Dave from San Francisco

A lovely pastoral setting, a rambling (but actually not very old) farmhouse, and a nice night's sleep. The hot tub was a nice addition. All in all very comfortable.

two-night stay in mid-April. We are repeat guests at this B&B at the Point Reyes National Seashore and it remains our favorite overnight destination.

Roundstome was very well located given that it was close to the hikes we wanted to do and within easy access to Rancho Nicasio. It was nice to walk to the Farmhouse for dinner. The pond attracts many birds which we found delightful. We would certainly stay again. Each time I've driven by on the weekends the sign shows" No Vacancy". There is good reason.

Frank was great. The place was gorgeous. Would go back in a blink of an eye.

So relaxing. The host, Frank, tells the greatest stories and makes fantastic breakfasts. Wonderful sights of wildlife right from your room including great blue herons, unusual birds like the moorhen, and even a bobcat. We've stayed here over 10 times and couldn't ask for a better weekend break! Shelley

One of the best features about Roundstone Farm is the solitude. It is also perfectly comfortable.

My boyfriend and I visited Roundstone Farm B&B Inn for a night last weekend. The prices for Roundstone Farm are very competitive compared to other accommodations in Point Reyes, so I honestly wasn't expecting much. My expectations were far exceeded by Roundstone Farm. Our room was very private (the Bay room) with a nice fireplace, a down comforter, very comfortable bed and a view of the surrounding farm. We were so cozy in our little room and we slept so well. Very clean room and bathroom as well. Further, there is a hot tub at Roundstone. The breakfast that Frank cooked was outstanding, very gourmet with fresh baked bread and endless tea and coffee. A few other things that I enjoyed at the Inn were the nice living room, where guests could relax and drink tea, the friendly innkeepers, and the small size of the Inn (I believe there are only five rooms, so approximately only ten guests total). A great find in Point Reyes that I will definitely return to!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary, our second visit to Roundstone Farm. As before, the Inn was romatic, quiet, and well furnished, and the proprietor's personal attention to our comfort and an excellent breakfast were very much appreciated.

My wife and I stayed here on a holiday weekend and loved it. We met some nice people there, but really enjoyed being close to good food and sitting by a fire in our room. We also found great hikes during the days. The best though was the breakfast in the mornings.

My partner and I had the pleasure to stay at Roundstone Farm Bed and Breakfast a few weeks ago. We live in San Francisco and this part of Point Reyes Station is very easy to get to, it only took us a little over an hour via the 101. We arrived Saturday evening and Frank (the owner) had left us a very nice note on the door giving us instructions to access our room. As we opened the front door I was left there wishing I could live and stay in such a beautiful house like this all the time. The inside of the house is very warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting. I loved all the wood furniture and scaffolding and the big black wood burning stove that sits in the far side of the house. We sat in the beautiful living room, had a cup of tea, and browsed through the books he has full of gorgeous photographs of Point Reyes and various restaurants in the area. The grounds of Roundstone Farm are stunning. From the window of our room we could see horses, cows, and the rolling green hills that surround Point Reyes. Watching the fog roll over the hills and through the trees was the perfect medicine I needed to heal my over stimulated city mind. Frank and his wife are wonderful hosts and the breakfast the next morning was fresh, delicious, and created the perfect compliment to the cold and rainy morning that feel over Olema that day. My partner and I will definitely be returning to Roundstone Farm bed and breakfast for our next escape from the city. I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants a calm relaxing weekend away on beautiful property with breathtaking views, and of course a hot tub ¿

The inn was peaceful and quiet. Lots of activities around the inn to keep you busy, but at the same time it is a good place to just relax. The restaurants around the area are varied and good. Oh, and the breakfast at the inn in itself maybe well worth the trip.

While living in the Bay Area during the 80's, I loved to day trip to the Point Reyes area. During a wast coast motorcycle trip up and down Highway 1 and 101, I decided to stay in the area. I rode from Santa Barbara to Olema on Highway 101, a good day and arrived before sunset. A key was waiting for me and before I was settled in, Frank met up with me and suggested dinner ideas. The room and house are very nice. I like how the bedrooms were laid out around a staircase so no 2 rooms were right next to another. The common area was nice and wi-fi worked great. Dinner in Point Reyes was just up the road and it was Halloween night, so I got to see all the kids walking through the tiny town. Breakfast was good and the view into the back garden with lots of birds was a nice environment. Frank joined me for breakfast as I was the only guest. This is a great spot and would stay here again to explore more of the Point Reyes area.

I hate to give this secret away, but Roundstone Farm is one of the nicest places to stay in Point Reyes. Our room was immaculate, and we were served real, home-cooked food for breakfast. It's farm setting makes for a quiet, peaceful stay. And, since it sits on a hill, you can actually see the bay from some of the rooms. It was really a delightful place to stay.

After a long coast to coast flight, and a day visiting some of favorite San Francisco haunts from our living there years ago, we arrived after dark. We were instructed to "make ourselves at home." The room was larger than expected. The hot tub and stars with no light pollution even better. The first night we had the entire house to ourselves. Frank came over and fixed us a fantastic breakfast the next morning. He was incredibly kind, knowledgable, and the entire stay was very laid back and wonderfully Northern Californian--something that we've truly missed in the NYC metropolitan area. We had a great houseful of interesting people the next morning--and met someone that lived less than 35 miles from us on the east coast! Our only regret is that we had to leave so soon!

This was our first stay at Roundstone Farm. The location (5 minutes from Pt. Reyes visitor center and 10 minutes from Pt. Reyes) is hard to be beat. The Inn has a very nice living room and outside gardens and a hot tub. Our room (the Pond Room) was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Frank, the Innkeeper, was very welcoming and an excellent breakfast chef to boot. We had a delightful stay and will be back.

Frank and Karen operate a lovely B&B just minutes away from all of the sights and sounds of Point Reyes National Seashore. You're a quick drive to the quaint shops and restaurants of nearby towns, and maps are provided to get you on your way. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and warm; the fireplace was recently cleaned and a DuraFlame was waiting for us to light it. Excellent water pressure in the shower and plenty of towels and shower provisions. Breakfast was warm and inviting; pecans and quiche and bacon along with fresh OJ and baked bread. Frank offered plenty of advice on hiking trails and worthwhile sights. Would definitely stay here again!

We were very thrilled with our stay at Roundstone farm. The house is located on a beautiful piece of property. The outside garden is a great place to sit, enjoy the view and relax. We were surprised to find an outdoor hottub next to the garden which we used. Everything was very clean. They even supplied extra towels and slippers for use at the hottub. Breakfast was served at a large dining room table. The food for breakfast was good and we enjoyed the company of the other guests over breakfast. My only real complaint was that the coffee was not that great. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who was to visit point reyes. The location is great and the rooms quiet and clean!

From the moment that we stepped down from the car we were made to feel welcome and that is a nice touch. This shows that the inn keeper truly enjoys having people at the Roundstone Inn and would like for everyone to return as a friend not as a business deal.

Roundstone is in a good location for visiting Pt Reyes and the coast. The rooms are large and clean, and there's a nice garden, and good common area. However, the wifi did not work at all in the room, only in the common area, and the breakfast was definitely sub-par: tasteless French toast and bad bacon.
Thank you for staying at Roundstone Farm and also for your comment about WiFi not being available in your room. Upon checking it out, I found that the range expander had died. It has been replaced and internet access is now available in all the rooms. Regards

My wife and I went to Roundstone Farm for our first wedding anniversary. We were very delighted at the relaxed atmosphere and how friendly Frank was. He let us check in early and stay late. He is a an excellent chef. Our breakfasts were filling and very tasty. Much to my wife's delight, he is also a master gardener and the backyard is beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed sitting and reading there in the mornings. The view all around is beautiful with the mountains of Point Reyes not too far off. Overall a great experience!

Our room was perfectly comfortable with a cozy fireplace and it was immaculately clean. Frank was a great host, full of stories and recommendations on things to do in the area. Our only problem was that we didn't stay long enough! We will certainly return to Roundstone Farm next time we're in the area.

This is a very lovely, peaceful place to stay. And, if you are a bird watcher, you are in for a treat. There are finches, doves, crows, jays, and all sorts of other birds that have made this place their haven. And the owners, Frank and Karen are truly wonderful and generous hosts. Plus breakfast isn't your typical scrambled eggs and toast - it is gourmet and made from scratch.

My husband and I spent a beautiful February weekend at Roundstone Farm B&B Inn. We loved watching the incredible flock of birds swooping through the air at sunset - we've never seen such drama and grace! The rooms and common area were well kept and very comfortable. It was so peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed after a hectic week of work. The hot tub was a great place to relax after a long day of hiking and horseback riding. It's also a great spot to watch the sunset. Both our breakfasts were delicious but the mushroom crusted quiche was outstanding and so creative!

Although pricey - we loved our stay at the B&B - a peaceful house overlooking Odema. A good place for hikes in and around Point Reyes - the hottub at the end of a day is a must!! We were on our own since it was low season and had the house to ourselves - the shelves are stacked with books, the nespaper arrives in the morning - NO TV!!! (which is great)- bring your own music (CDS) if you like! The fire places are ready to be lit. Frank is very knowledgeable about all things local and a great deal more. His breakfast is a knock-out. We would definitely go back!

We loved our stay at the Roundstone Farm & Breakfast Inn! It was very easy to book online and Frank and his wife were so nice and friendly. The room was perfect, comfortable bed, fireplace, chairs to sit by the fire and nice well-lit bathroom. We were so relaxed. The view from our window overlooked the pond and the bay and it was so green and pretty. We didn't get a chance to try out the hot tub but it looked very inviting. And the garden around the Inn was very pretty with lots of birds. Also, it is walking distance from restaurants in Olema and a very short drive to Pt. Reyes hiking trails and more restaurants in nearby small towns. We also drove out to do some whale watching. Overall - couldn't have been happier.

We stayed at this inn during a sunny January and enjoyed all 3 nights. The room was large, well lit and comfortable. We felt at home in the large living room and spent several hours each day reading or playing cards. But the best part was the warmth of the host. Frank was in and out, but always ready to talk about the area and families around. We got a perspective we would not have had at a motel.
