I stayed just one night, and I had to leave early the next morning to meet my backpacking guide, so I was unable to enjoy breakfast during the normal time. I was hoping to get a taste of the homemade cinnamon rolls that were mentioned on the website, but was only able to have cereal, yogurt and fruit since I was leaving early. I asked for suggestions for dinner options and was pleased with where I went.

Our hosts, Anna & Rene, were AWESOME!! Anna actually washed a pair of my shorts which I had a stain... Accommodated us with an earlier than normal breakfast to accommodate our needs, setting it up on the patio outside of our room, complete with a tablecloth!! This, a full cooked breakfast... The hotel itself was a cute eclectic B&B loaded with charm. Would totally recommend!

Pine Rose Inn is a quaint stay close to the south entrance of Yosemite. It had a wonderfully friendly staff, and because it has a small number of rooms, there was a feeling of coziness and uniqueness. We especially enjoyed the private entrance to each room, as well as the jacuzzi bath tub. The breakfast food was unusual, perhaps local fare?. For the adventurous eater, this can be fun, but if you're looking for the usual hearty fare, it won't be found here.

Very nice people. Very rustic. Needs a little work here and there.

We frequent B&Bs, so I feel I have a pretty good idea what to expect. Innkeeper Anita, while sweet and helpful, seems overwhelmed by this 9 room Inn. She explained that they were installing a new deck, and had just finished a yard sale, so as to comment on all the debris outside. I can tolerate differences in what is consider decor, but cleanliness is another issue. While checking in, I noticed in the dining area a chafing dish with cereal in it. The surface of the glass lidded chafing dish was so dusty. We had tried to get early breakfast, toast and coffee, at 8am. She forgot, and we ended up staying until 9am when breakfast started. The butter provided was in a messy butter dish with butter that had melted and congealed again. Not appetising. The bed was clean and comfortable. The shower was a trickle. After seeing the level of cleanliness, we decided not to use the whirpool tub as that feature needs detail to keep the piping clean from person to person. I am glad some folks like this inn and will provide the mother-son inkeepers with income. This Inn could be so nice! Weeds, dust everywhere, TV had poor reception. Sad, sickly, matted kitties getting hair all over the common areas. Outside she uses a bowl of chicken fat & bones to attract and kill yellowjackets, but there must be some way to conceal that sight.
