What an amazing place. The rooms were fun and the bed was so comfortable. The ambiance was perfect and it has a beautiful lake view. It would be a wonderful place to hold a company weekend or a wedding. The breakfast in the morning was prepared by the owners and delivered in a cool dining room decorated with the train theme . The owners were very friendly and made me want to come back to this resort. Its a 10 no doubt.

Staying in a caboose is a unique experience. All "rooms" have their own theme and a decorate with much love to the detail. We stayed at "Easy Rider" which comes with its own hot tub (which is in the middle of the room), a comfy bed, and even has a miniature Harley included. The bed was comfy, the hosts are amazing and super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and very professional and any food diets are accommodated in a satisfying way.I believe breakfast changes from day to day; not sure as we only stayed for one night. There are two bars (one with food) in walking distance. The location itself is a little "off the beaten track", but with a car not a problem. The only con: the TV is too small and too far from the bed - but you don't come here to watch TV anyways (although they have a library of DVDs and VHS, but I don't know about the selection as we did not care (probably some older movies on VHS!!!)....

My husband and I enjoyed our cozy stay at the Featherbed Railroad B & B. We stayed in the Casablanca caboose and even rematched the film Casablanca during our stay. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub. The only improvement would be access to internet while inside the caboose. WiFi was available in the dining and public areas, just not in the caboose.

This place was a lot of fun! We really enjoyed our time at the Featherbed Railroad. The room we stayed in, Wild Wild West, was a lot of fun and great as our little hideaway. Pros: Comfy bed fun atmosphere great star gazing from the boat dock Lovely hosts Delicious breakfast Clean Very welcoming Cons: The welcome book in the room was outdated. It listed things like peddle bats, and row boats but they were not actually available. The brochure we picked up, in the lobby, for the steam train was also out of date and the calendar wasn't valid. I'd love to se all of that stuff updated and kept current. Also, because they have only been running the B&B for 8 months, they weren't very knowledgeable about things to do, where to go, how far things were. That would have been nice as well, since this was my first time visiting the area. All-Infall it was a great experience and I'd suggest checking them out. We'd love to come back some time in the summer to take more advantage o the lake!

Had a great time at the featherbed. Very nice place right on the water. You hardly even want to leave the room!

We were greeted with champagne and enjoyed watching the sunset from the private dock overlooking Clear Lake. The train cars were unique, neatly decorated, clean, and surprisingly spacious. We enjoyed a soak in the big jacuzzi tub in our room and slept peacefully on the soft, luxurious featherbed. Definitely one of the coolest places we have ever stayed. Romantic, different, and really fun. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and even let my partner sound the train whistle at check out. Breakfast was delicious and the dining room was cute. There is an extensive movie collection available to borrow and even a tandem bike you can ask to use. We walked less than 5 minutes to the boat house for dinner, which was very convenient. Overall a wonderful trip. Highly recommend to any couple looking to relax, reconnect, and try something new.

My boyfriend brought me up to this lovely spot for a surprise birthday/Valentines getaway. I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it - such a fun and quirky idea for a bed and breakfast! Check in was welcoming and we were told there would be a wine and cheese event held that evening. Unfortunately we didn't make it - we were busy walking around the lake and sitting on the private dock at sunset. Such a beautiful location! Wild West room was very fun - one of the few without a hot tub but has a very nice claw foot bath tub which also does the trick. Would definitely recommend this to a friend!! Thanks to the owners who are wonderful hosts.

We only live 15 miles away, but needed a night out so decided to stay in a caboose! We chose the "Orient Express" decor.... We've been married for exactly one month so this was kind of a post honeymoon get-away. We were greeted like family, treated like old friends, and pampered a whole bunch! We're both in our 70-s and can be a little fussy at times...but there were absolutely no reasons to even approach fussiness!!! It was a cold rainy day, but the caboose heated up just fine, the wine and cheese and chocolate arrived in quick order, and the hot tub filled with hot water promptly. We were totally and wonderfully comfortablle. The queen featherbed was a dream and breakfast in the dining room the next morning was not only delicious...but beautifully presented...and to put it simply....it was GREAT!!! June and Paul were also warm, helpful and friendly. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back!!! We highly recommend the Featherbed to everyone. (My computer wouldn't let me click on the outstanding circle or I would have!!!! Proud to sign this.....Claude & Joy Dunn...Kelseyville, CA
