The room was great. It was beautifully furnished and had just the feel we were hoping for. The location was so close to all the restaurants, shops and bars. The backyard and porch was also quite nice. Breakfast consisted of a fruit bowl followed by a baked delight.

We've been staying at the Emma Nevada once or twice a year for about five years. The rooms are beautiful, the house very well kept, and the breakfasts are among the best we've ever had at a B&B. The inn keepers are delightful folks who revel in helping their guests with what to see and o in this charming town. We've stayed at dozens of B&B's in the US and UK, and this place is right up there at the top.

5 out of 5A Wonderful Place to Stay!
July 29, 2008
Emma nevada House was a very special place to stay. It was rich with history, the Inn Keepers were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The breakfast was amazing and the inn itself was pristine. Nevada City was a great place to visit whether you are looking for a place to relax, enjoy a good meal, enjoy the outdoors, shop, enjoy the arts, or go wine tasting. Highly recommended!
5 out of 5Best B&B by far in Nevada City
December 16, 2007
We have just returned from our third stay at the Emma Nevada House. Each time we visit it only gets better. The Emma Nevada House is located in a quiet residential area, just steps from the charming downtown. There is ample off street parking in the back of the Inn. The Inn was restored in the 1990's, so it has the charm of a historic victorian, but the comforts of airconditioning, jetted jaccuzzi tubs, gas fireplaces and king sized comfy beds. Andrew & Susan, the owner/innkeepers are wonderful, full of local knowledge and great stories. Andy is truly a encyclopedia about every subject, from his meteor collection to his art treasures. Susan's foods are awesome! The afternoon treats change daily, from cookies to lemon bars, to homemade chocolate truffles. Breakfasts are something to wake up for, her scones are the best! Espresso drinks are also available. Our rooms have always been immaculate, we have stayed in Nightingale's Bower & Empress' Chamber, both are beautiful. They are very large, with king size beds, big bay windows with comfy couch sitting area and in the winter Nightingale's has a romantic fireplace to cuddle by. Both baths have a jetted jaccuzzi tub, our favorite! The town is very charming as well, unique shopping and wonderful restaurants. We have eaten at New Moon, Citronee and Sushi in the Raw a number of times, and always had supurb meals. We love the Emma Nevada House & Nevada City and will return again and again.
