Old World Inn location is good and within 15 minute walk of numerous restaurants. We stayed 3 nights in La Biblioteca room located in original inn. The room was clean, relatively quiet, and comfortable. It was a bit small and didn't have a chair, barely enough room to unpack. Wardrobe closet was a bit small - could hold about 5 hangars. Dining room and food was adequate with an 8:30am breakfast service start. French press coffee, cookies, water were always available. 5:30-6:30 wine and light pupus available across the street in other Old World Inn building. Overall, we would recommend this B&B - offers good value.

My girlfriend and I loved it here. We stayed in the Bella Tuscany and Private Cottage, which were very pleasant.

My mother and I stayed at the Old World Inn in Napa, CA for three nights to celebrate her 85th birthday. We were very impressed with the overall hospitality and ambience at the house on Jefferson Street. Our room, the Bella Tuscany, was very pleasant and being on the first floor was helpful for us. Of special note was the outstanding breakfasts that were prepared and served each day. This is no ordinary continental "serve yourself" sort of bed and breakfast. Everything is freshly prepared and served at the table to you. We loved it. I enjoyed the grounds and historical touches at this Victorian house. We would love to visit again.

My husband and I made a delightful last minute trip to Napa, and we were very lucky to have picked Old World Inn! The breakfast was splendid and kept you full till mid afternoon. The evening wine tasting in the dining room also made for a nice treat. I particularly liked how the dining area was set up for mini tables of 2 to give it that romantic feel. Other B&B's I've stayed at have done the traditional everyone gathers around the same table. The staff were very helpful in suggesting places around town to eat, and had vouchers for a good number of the wineries to visit. They really made our trip to Napa fun, romantic, and affordable.

We found the Old World Inn to have thought of everything. Loved the press pot coffee available 24/7 and the evening chocolates are so nice. Staff very helpful. we'd stay again - John Langdon

To be honest, we stayed here because there was a great mid-week off season deal. However, after staying there, we feel we got more than we paid for and it would be worth it to stay there regardless. The breakfast and the evening chocolate desserts did not disappoint. We missed the wine tasting, but based on everything else, we'd expect it was great as well. We stayed in a Acqua room in the main house and it was huge and quiet and perfect. The spa bath is deceiving as even though it takes a while for it to fill, the water stayed hot and the spa attachment (although loud) turned it into a perfect relaxing bath. The owners and staff were friendly and available and when we had a request, they did what they could to accommodate. It was perfect walking distance to everything downtown and it was great to not have to drive. 10-15 minute walk to everything. We do not travel much, so when we do, we are picky. And we can't wait to come back here!

We stayed at the inn for a full week in Feb 2014. The inn was perfect. A gorgeous room with lovely linens and a comfortable bed was welcome after a long trip from New England. We felt very much welcomed by the staff . Breakfast was delicious and always hot and filling. We lived the daily wine tastings and the special chocolate treats each night. Nothing could have been better! The Napa experience was wonderful all around. Recommend Old World Inn wholeheartedly!!

Beautiful victorian house which will make you relaxed upon entry. Amazing gourmet breakfasts make you excited to wake up and start your day. Great extra perks provided like coffee and tea all day, delicious desserts in the evening, movies and games provided, outside fire pit, great porch for reading or relaxing, and helpful staff. Great value for the price although I feel some b&bs are a bit overpriced, especially on holiday weekends. Location was great, close to many restaurants in downtown Napa. The noise would be my only complaint; Traffic outside along the main road could be heard starting at 7 am, not as relaxing and serene as a B&B on a side road or in the mountains… and the noise in the kitchen from breakfast being prepared, (dishes and pans) was loud, starting at 7:30 am until after 9:30, so may wake you up if you planned on sleeping in. Bathrooms were small, although not a problem if you take turns using it. Otherwise the breakfast was amazing, beautifully set up dining room, and an overall relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

We stayed at Old World Inn and would definitely recommend friends stay here. I would recommend requesting an upstairs room if in the main house. It was a bit loud because we were next to the kitchen and were woken up by the kitchen sounds and chatter of the staff. We would definitely stay again when in Napa. It is accessible to all and we had a wonderful time.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience at Old World Inn in Napa, CA. The room was clean, cozy, and romantic. The breakfast and evening treats were delicious. The wine tasting each night made us feel welcomed and allowed us to get to know others who were staying there. And most importantly, the people were fantastic-- so helpful and friendly! We will definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience at the Old World Inn. Our room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were very helpful. Also, the Inn is walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops. We were lucky because we were able to stay at the Inn after Christmas break and the rooms were less expensive than during the tourist season.

We had a pleasant and enjoyable visit at the Old World Inn. All the staff was attentive and helpful. We would absolutely stay again. We stayed three nights, in one of the Acqua rooms. The chocolate/dessert platters in the evening were a little less dramatic and fabulous than advertised, but still a nice touch. The breakfasts were smaller than I anticipated, but were actually perfectly sized for a bite before heading out into wine country. Their explanation of the breakfast and how it evolved (from lumberjack to normal human) is sensible. (In fact, I enjoyed the souffles so much I made some for our at-home breakfast on New Years Day...they are easier to make than one would think.) The croissants were quite good. The breakfasts were delivered to you hot and fresh as you sat at your table. Fruit and juice cold and fresh. Coffee better than expected. Very nice. The room was clean and well-appointed. I personally would enjoy larger chairs to make room-lounging more relaxing. The woodwork and design of the rooms is charming and enjoyable. Be sure to ask for a lower-level room if you can't comfortably climb stairs. The breakfast is served at a basement level, so that makes two flights of stairs to negotiate when enjoying breakfast or the (nice touch) complimentary wine-pourings, if you happen to be staying on the second floor. This was not a deal-breaker for me, but for some it might be less convenient. I was heading out for golf early the first morning of our stay, and the staff packed my wife and me a special 'take-way' breakfast. A courteous and considerate touch. We will be visiting them again for our next wine-country visit.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Nice fireplace and huge T.V. Two person shower meant just one large shower head but water pressure was not enough for two people at a time. Tub was nice but took forever to fill. Overall very nice B&B. The breakfast was excellent. Cost even at a discount was a bit pricey.

My husband and I came to Napa to tour the wine country. When we arrived at the inn we were a bit concerned because it was across the street from a supermarket. However, as soon as we entered we were impressed by what we saw. We were warmly greeted by a staff member and immediately enjoyed some hot tea and delicious cookies. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and lovely. The bed was very snuggly and the pillows wonderful. The decor was charming. We were surprised to learn that the inn offers a daily wine tasting and we attended and enjoyed it both evenings we spent at the inn. The gourmet breakfasts were filling and delicious. We were able to help ourselves to coffee brewed in French press coffee makers. That is how we make our coffee at home and we have never been at an inn or hotel that provided these. That was a touch of class. We enjoyed our stay from start to finish and would highly recommend The Old World Inn to our friends.

Quiet, immaculate and elegant room with very comfortable bed. Quiet part of town, but in short walking distance to center of town for restaurants, wine tasting, and shopping. Huge, tasty, healthy breakfast to take you through a day of wine tasting. Innkeepers gave great suggestions for wine tours geared towards our interests. Would highly recommend!! Hope to return someday!

If you are planning a trip to Napa; do yourself a favor and stay at the Old World Inn. To me, the most important element to a successful business are the people that are employed by that company. The Old World Inn has the most pleasant and accommodating staff in the business. I do believe they would have granted any request I would have made and were very helpful with advice on wineries, restaurants, directions and even dress codes! The house itself is a beautiful Victorian home, very clean and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The Inn is also within walking distance to Main Street so if you do not want to drive, you certainly do not have to drive and is also close to the Wine Train. The item I will rave about; hands down, the breakfasts that are served daily. I truly felt like I was in a 5 star hotel, the difference, the breakfast was better! Each day you awake to a different menu (posted the night before) and the table(s) are beautifully set. I cannot tell you how special it felt to be treated to a meal so wonderful each day of our stay. Anytime I return to Napa, this will be the Inn that I return to each and every time.

We had an amazing time here. After one night we decided to extend our stay because we were having such a wonderful time. The staff was amazing and the service and amenities are what really set this b&b apart for us. They take care of the details and make sure your needs are always being taken care of. Even the small things like 24 hr filtered water and hot water/coffee in the common rooms make a big difference. Would love to stay here again if we ever pass through Napa!

We stayed at Old World Inn. The location of the house is great, and the nightly wine receptions are great! There were no issues with the room at all. The only downside was a lack of water available first thing in the morning, and a later breakfast time. We did not end up eating breakfast there either morning. The staff was awesome though, and set us up with anything we needed.

Did a one night stay for our anniversary and were completely satisfied. The Inn has been renovated and modernized but has a ton of old world charm. Our innkeeper took the time to make calls for us to restaurants and made suggestions about entertainment which worked out perfectly. Also got lots of "extras" in the form of complimentary wine tasting coupons. The breakfast was different, never had mac n cheese souffle before, but it was very good as was the banana torte and strawberry treat. Wish we had been able to stay at least another night.

Living in the SF Bay area means that when I want to retreat to get some work done I can choose world class destinations like Napa Valley. Why not work in a beautiful setting where everyone is enjoying life? Old World Inn provided the perfect place for me to feel at peace, warm and comfortable while having all the amenities (and more) of a great hotel. Desserts laid out at night? Deep soaking tub? Fireplace and large flat screen tv? The location was great, the decor comfortable and the service friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back for a true vacation without work ;)

Old World Inn is the best time and stay since i have been coming to Napa for the last five years! I usually stay at the time share property, but wanted to just relax without the corporate sales push during my stay. The Inn was wonderful and so was the staff, I enjoyed my stay tremendously and would stay there anytime. Way better than the larger corporate places! Love it, love it!!!

This is a great place to stay if you want to feel like you are staying at your favorite Aunt's home. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are hugh. The breakfast in the morning is delicious as were the treats that are put out in the evening. We really enjoyed the wine tastings and the little packet of discounts and recommendations. Will be back.

Traveled from San Diego for a getaway vacation, and we wanted to make sure we stayed at a decent place but we stayed at a great place. Russ noticed I was retired military so he upgraded my room and it was fantastic. We came just in time for a wine-tasting and were given a list of good recommendations for local restaurants, most, which were in walking distance. After a good night's sleep had a good breakfast, which was different from the regular bed and breakfast fare, and good conversation with other couples ready to travel the wine trails. After a long day, was given some help in locating a local establishment to ship our treasure home and had a good night's sleep before heading home. The staff was attentive, there were great little touches, such as good coffee, teas and home made cookies and cakes for a little midnight snacking. Would strongly recommend this to my friends.

My husband I I just spent the weekend at the Old World Inn for a Concert event at the Uptown Theater. The location was great, just short walk to the venue. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was yummy. They even had gluten free scones for me! It was a real treat.

The Old World Inn served as a great base for our time in the Napa Valley. While the rooms were small, they were very nicely appointed, very clean and included some extras that made our stay even better. We would recommend the Old World Inn to others, even our picky friends.

First time in a B & B in the states and we had a very comfortable and hospitable stay. The morning breakfast was a satisfying way to start each day and the early evening local vinyard wine tasting relaxing way to wind down before heading out to dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive, the neighborhood is quiet and easily accessible to the downtown, groceries, restaurants, shops, and wine tasting.

Renay and I stayed at the Old World Inn for her birthday. It was a spectacular two nights, and both of us wanted to stay longer if only we didn't need to return to Los Angeles for work. Our stay was wonderful! Delicious breakfasts and evening treats! Coffee and tea selection and availability were great. Really appreciated the daily wine tasting and snacks. Loved the character of the inn. Great room and super comfy bed. Our favourite thing was to sit on the porch and enjoy some wine that we bought each day. Short walk to many restaurants. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

My husband and I went to Napa last week for our honeymoon and we stayed at the Old World Inn. Such a great experience! When we arrived we had rose pedals on the bed and a bottle of champagne and a cute note to welcome us. The breakfast was delish and we loved the option to taste wine every night at 5pm. Everything was also so close to where we stayed, which was convenient. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Napa.

This was our first time enjoying a B&B in the 15 years that we've been visiting Napa Valley, and we couldn't be happier with the Old World Inn. From the amazingly attentive and caring staff, to the immaculate buildings and grounds, to the charm within each room, to the wonderful dining and tasting options, we were won over! We will be back to the Old World Inn without a doubt.

Everyone at the Old World Inn was amazing! We had a few tweaks that needed tending to after the first night in suite #4 but as they say let them know and they will get it sorted...and they did!! Tracie welcomed us with open arms and lots of information! Matt and Russ worked on tweaking going above and beyond!! Olga from breakfast to room cleaning to wine tasting was always around with a beautiful smile on her face. The suite was perfect with a little sitting area so we could all hang out. The beds were super comfy and the food...mmmmmm...delightful. The owners, Innkeepers and staff all care about this property and it shows. Gosh even needed a wine check bag to take the wine home and they had one!!

We had a perfect stay. The room was just as described on their website. The bed was big and comfortable and we loved how the big TV was mounted on the wall so we had a great angle while relaxing on the bed with a DVD (which was provided for free from their collection). The breakfast was so good, I almost wanted a second order. There was a microwave in the main area, plates and napkins provided and also hot water available. Check out was a breeze. We will definitely return!

This was our first trip to Napa and from the moment we entered the inn, we knew we had made the right choice! Rooms were tastefully decorated. Greeted by our hostess, Janet. The breakfasts were truly 5 star quality and any food allergies were handled in the same manner. The wine tastings done nightly were fun and informative. The daily freshly baked cookies and yummy desserts made nightly were one of the highlights of the trip! When we return again, we will definitely choose this B and B again!

What a memorable stay at the Old World Inn. The place and the staff were awesome. We literally felt at home right down to having coffee and conversation in the late evenings on the barrel rocking chairs. While our focus was on the wine tastings, I was sad that our time at the Inn was actually quite sure. We have decided to certainly try to get back there for next year. And the Old World Inn is where we will most certainly stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Napa. The Old World Inn is great. From the innkeepers to all the staff, cudos to you all. I only stayed for one night, but it was a lovely night! It is so helpful to be greeted warmly at the end of a long work day! I was shown to my room, which was comfortable. The bed was great! I was able to take advantage of the evening chocolates (yum), and a box-breakfast (gluten-free) was provided for me the next morning. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Russ and Sharron made room at their Inn for us even when we inadvertently clicked on the wrong check in date! They made our error work for us and we didn't even know it until the next day! We arrived to find we had an upgrade to a beautifully appointed and very comfortable 3 room suite complete with fireplace! The beds were to die for--we were swaddled in softness and comfort! And the pillow choices were outstanding! One of the best things is that the sheets didn't smell of chlorine bleach as I have found in other places I've stayed. That is a plus for me as I am very sensitive to smells. If you are more tech oriented, in each bedroom there is a big screen TV to watch and after you are through there are no bright lights on the players to keep you awake at night. Breakfast was great and they even accommodated my special request that I was able to fill out on special little cards found in the dining room next to the wide selection of movies and games we could borrow. We could have even called ahead to make a request for something extra special! I am a coffee snob and theirs was really, really delicious as was the evening deserts! I loved the intimate and family style tables choices that were available and cozy sitting room couches and fireplace. All in all our stay was short but very, very pleasant. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The Inn is absolutely beautiful, with generous common areas and gorgeous old rooms (we stayed in Chocolat, which was HUGE, had an amazing TV, big windows, and a bathroom with tub and shower). Nice self-service amenities like tea, coffee, hot chocolate, movies, etc. OWI definitely has more of a guesthouse feel than a small B&B, with a large, somewhat communal breakfast served by a full staff. Breakfast was really delicious and creative (scones and an egg/bread soufflé thing that was SO GOOD). They were also able to accommodate my gluten free diet, and even had separate red dishes for the purpose, which made me MUCH more comfortable about eating safely. We stayed in several B&Bs during our road trip down the West Coast, and the OWI was one of our favorites. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay couldnt have been better! The Old World Inn was great, we received a warm welcome, with two for one wine tasting certificates that saved us a ton, the cellar suite was EXCELLENT, and the breakfast was more that enough and VERY flavorful. It made for a very memorable stay in Napa. We will DEFINATELY be back here!

This is in a rather quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking in the back, our Paris room was superb, & we loved the fireplace setting in the back. We sat there drinking wine & eating chocolate. What a fitting ending to the day of wine tasting. We met some great people at breakfast & during the wine tasting in the building across the street. Have been to Napa before but not to the Old World Inns. We would definitely come back here. Molly & Bill

I would definitely return to the Old World Inn. They have a wonderful attention to detail and the service is outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable from the bedding, decor to the large bathroom. Breakfast is absolutely divine! Felt like it was a gourmet meal every morning. We had to leave very early our last morning and they boxed up breakfast for us to take on the road and had it ready at 5:00am! They helped set up dinner reservations and the location to downtown Napa was perfect. Love this place!

Many lovely "extras" such as chocolate chip cookies on arrival, mini-desserts available after dining out. Breakfast was very delicious and complete - homemade strata or soufflé with scones or croissants and fruit dishes. Many nice spaces outside to sit with a bottle of wine with our area relatives. Hosts were extremely willing to help with suggestions of things to do and offered to book if desired.

We booked this B&B to enjoy a couple of days in the Napa Valley. Although more that we usually pay for a room, it was worth the splurge. The room was well-appointed and comfortable, and the other amenities were great. The breakfasts were excellent, as were the "desserts" left out in the evening. We especially enjoyed the wine-tasting each evening.

Beautiful rooms in the main inn and cottages. Bed was so comfortable, bathroom was updated and pristine and rooms were spotless. They have really thought of everything - daily room cleaning (which you don't always get at B&B), incredible breakfast, wine tastings, evening dessert and 24 hour coffee. I do a lot of research before I choose where to stay, and let me tell you - there isn't a better value anywhere in Napa Valley.

We stayed in the Acqua room at the Old World Inn for our ten-year anniversary trip, and possessing old world charm and character with superior modern amenities, it was perfectly romantic, exceeding our expectations in every way. The Acqua room is well worth the money, too, because of its size, jacuzzi tub, and comfortable bed. We loved the cellar and wine tastings. The breakfast food was deliciously gourmet. We will stay here again when we return to Napa in the future.

Celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary we booked 2 nights in Napa at Old World Inn, Sole' Room, # 5, which was COZY and COMFY, with a private bathroom with shower. Another couple also traveled with us, booked 2 nights in Sole' Room #1. We visited two to three beautiful wineries each day. Back at the inn both evenings for a complimentary wine tasting hour from two different wineries. We had dinner at a lovely winery in St. Helena one evening. The inn offered a delicious breakfast each morning. And we enjoyed sitting around the firepit in the evening to relax and talk about our lovely drives into Napa Valley up to St. Helena. It was a lovely stay and we would recommend this B&B.

Old World Inn is a lovely property! Attention to every detail was apparent from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Hospitality and customer service was everywhere from the fresh cookies that greeted us upon our arrival to the chocolates and apricots after dinner to the fantastic breakfast the next morning. We needed assistance with local transportation and dining and all our questions were answered and recommendations were made. All the personnel we encountered plus the owner went out of their way to be certain that all our expectations were met and that we had a great experience. We certainly will stay here again on our next trip to Napa and also recommend this property to others wanting a lovely B and B experience. Thank you Old World Inn!

My husband and I decided to get away to wine country for our 20th anniversary. After looking for a B&B on-line, we came upon the Napa Old World Inn. The description of the inn, the wine tastings offered every day and the breakfasts sounded perfect for our stay - and they were! The inn was fantastic and it was great to sample wine from a different vineyard every night. And the breakfasts were amazing! The staff were amazing - very helpful and so nice. They always had a suggestion for dinner or places to go around Napa Valley. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in Napa!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at our first bed and breakfast. The place was charming and the service was great. We had a chance to chat with other guests around dessert at 7. Breakfast in the AM was fantastic. We took advantage of one of the winery vouchers and really enjoyed our total experience in the Napa Valley. Our only wish was that we had more than one day at the inn! Fantastic experience!

We cannot say enough good things about The Old World Inn. Due to car trouble we arrived at 1:00 a.m. to find that there were gnats from the orchid plants in the room we had reserved. In spite of the late hour the gracious Ruth immediately moved us to a different room for the night. That room was booked so we were moved in the morning to a room similar our first one. Not ten minutes later there was a knock on the door and the wonderful Janet told us that the owners insisted on upgrading our room. And what an upgrade! We were shown into a bright, gorgeous two-bedroom, one and one-half bath suite with a large sitting area. All four (!) of the rooms we saw were clean and well-maintained. The food was delicious: the breakfasts were freshly made and innovative; nightly desserts did not skimp on the chocolate. Every member of the staff with whom we came into contact was friendly, accommodating, and clearly dedicated to making our stay enjoyable. In short, this B&B has character in every possible way.

Comfortable. Great breakfast, was a bit small for my fiance. Would stay again.

We stayed at a few bed and breakfast inns while on a recent road trip. Thankfully the night host was willing to interrupt her bike ride to let us in after hours. Without her we would have missed out on a delightful stay. The only thing I may have wished the room had was a full length mirror, always nice to be able to check that everything is in place before walking out the door!

We had never been to a B&B this was our first time. The staff at the Old World Inn was Great! The food was delicious, and the wine and desserts in the evening were Yummy!.. I had my breakfast made to order one morning, and our 3am checkout had breakfast waiting to go when we departed. I would recommend The Old World Inn to my friends for sure!..

We travelled with good friends to California; our first stop was at the Old World Inn. Our three day stay was wonderful -- the accommodations were spectacular; Suite 4 was a nice home away from home for us. Breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed the early evening wine tastings. Next time in Napa, we would love to stay at the Old World Inn.

We stayed in Starry Night for 2 nights...but wished on a star to stay for a year! Lovely and sweet room, and the breakfasts were nothing short of delicious and unique!

Just a quick stroll from the Inn to the downtown core of Napa. On the way you walk past lovely victorian homes with beautiful gardens and plenty of rose bushes to smell. Very close to Safeway too. Both houses are traditional victorian homes. The rooms are clean, house keeping is provided, the breakfast is great, and the daily free wine tasting is a bonus. Recommend staying in one of the upstairs bedrooms if you are a light sleeper and go to bed early because you can hear footsteps of people walking in the hall above.

From the moment you arrive all of your needs are cared for. From the nightly wine tastings, desserts, and the delicious breakfast that is perfectly timed to start your tours of the winery. A coffee and tea bar is always open, along with a nightly fire to recuperate from long days of tastings. The location is perfect for walking to downtown Napa for exquisite meals and entertainment. The staff is super friendly and always there to chat.

The room was gorgeous! We stayed in the starry night room. The three skylights above the bed allowed for plenty of light in the room. The hot tub connected to the room is perfectly sized and private for plenty of romantic fun.

A lovely bed and breakfast in Napa. The property is located in the town of Napa (a short 15min drive to Route 28 and Silverado Trail). Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. Delicious snacks were constantly provided throughout the day (cookies, desserts later in the evening). The wine tasting in the evening was also great, and breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are a bit smaller than regular hotel rooms, but was not an issue for us. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you!

Very clean, nice room & very quiet bed & breakfast. This place is in the heart of Napa. Very easy to get around. Very friendly staff. They go above & beyond to make the guest feel at home & comfortable. We will be back for sure.

My experience was amazing, the overall location is ideal. Being close to downtown Napa was convenient. The room was beautiful with a welcome note was really nice. The service was world class and very helpful. It really felt like a home away from home. I will be returning asap and I have been recommending friends and family members to go and experience quality customer care

We loved our time at Napa Old World Inn! This B&B is in a great location and pays great attention to detail - we were provided with a personalized map of downtown Napa with notes from the owners. Their notes were spot on and included descriptions of restaurants and even gave menu suggestions. They also provided us with a winery map and suggestions for wineries to visit. We found their recommendations to all be great! The breakfasts were amazing each morning and the inn is spotlessly clean - we'd recommend Napa Old World Inn to anyone considering a visit to Napa. As a teacher/military couple, we were also honored with some special "extras" honoring our professions, which were wonderful additions.

This one of the best places we have ever stayed. The service from the friendly staff was impeccable. The rooms were spotless and very new looking. The bed was so comfortable that I wish we stayed the entire week.

We had a great experience at the Old World Inn and would definitely recommend this B & B. The Inn has some nice perks such as French Press coffee choices, complementary wine tasting in the evening, as well as dessert and a patio fire. One thing we really appreciated is in-room air conditioning which many Bed and Breakfasts don't have. Even though we were in the smallest room, (#8) it was still cozy and had ample room for our belongings. It had a cute fireplace which would be very cozy if the weather had been cooler.
5 on May 18, 2013
OWI was so relaxing. The rooms were intimate and the beds super plush. The breakfast, chocolate treats, and wine tasting room, were the special touches we would love to have at all B&B's. The beautiful front porch and the nice backyard sitting areas were special spots to visit and make new friends. The location was perfect. Within comfortable walking distance to DTO Napa, but without the DTO traffic. Can't wait to stay again.

We loved this bed and breakfast and enjoyed the excellent service by the host when we arrived. Wine tasting in the evening, desserts, and breakfast were all excellent. They also provided us with advice on wineries to visit that we loved. I'd recommend Andretti's and Goosecross as some of my favorites!

I was so excited just to be able to visit Napa and also to stay in a B&B as well. The Old World Inn was a really great first time experience and I was definitely sad to leave. We were greeted promptly and it was quick and simple as she showed us where everything was and what they offered each day. A different yummy egg dish served with a fruit starter, and orange juice or infused water each morning at 9 am (24hr coffee and tea available), then a selection of desserts after 6:30 or so. An assortment of DVDs to watch on our huge TV screen, cable, a fireplace, and my favorite part, a big bathroom with a tub for two! The room is definitely on the small side, but it felt cozy and the king size bed was really comfortable and worth the lack of space. We stayed in the separate cottage in the back on Polk Street, and enjoyed the privacy of not being in the main house where it might get a little noisy with people walking through on the creaky floorboards. I was glad to have read that in a previous review because I'm a light sleeper, and would rather have privacy than be social with the other guests. The Inn is really close to downtown Napa, and the Safeway across the street is convenient (a little unsightly, but we weren't bothered by that). There is noise occasionally from the neighborhood, such as dogs, gardeners, and trash pick up Friday mornings, but I expected as much when she warned me it was located downtown. Overall, I would recommend this place, and would really like to come back next year.

We had a great time during our stay, and wished we could have stayed another night! As it was, we arrived in time for cookies, tea and a wine tasting downstairs. Although I had originally stated that we would be arriving late in the evening, I called the day of our arrival to see if we could come earlier and they had no difficulty accomodating that request. Breakfast was delicious, although it would have been nice to have individual trays rather than the larger basket, and the room was small but very cute with a great tub/bathroom. The staff was available whenever we needed them, and it was a great birthday present for my boyfriend. We will hopefully be coming back very soon!

After two nights in Sonoma, my boyfriend and I drove to Napa for one last relaxing night of vacation. We're from New York, and were blown away by how calm and beautiful everything was! We stayed in the Aria room in a cottage behind the inn. The room was quite small- no space to really do anything but sleep- but it was quite cozy. There's also a living room/ sitting area inside the cottage, so you can eat or work there if you need to. There is a large DVD library to borrow form (free of charge), and we had a very cozy night in after a great dinner in town (Grace's Table). The complimentary wine tasting was a large part of why we chose this inn, and we loved it; we enjoyed generous tastes of two wines and a few appetizers. There were two dessert treats set out at night: mango drizzled with chocolate and small s'mores. Not quite the decadent chocolate bar I'd imagined, but a nice touch nonetheless! The next morning we enjoyed fruit salad (from a can, which was unexpected in California, the land of fresh produce) and a croissant, blueberry cake and a cheese souffle. It was a little heavy for our liking (although it smelled delicious) so we found breakfast elsewhere. We are also, admittedly, food snobs, and the inn's food was better than most places. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It was cozy, romantic, and just what we needed.

I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We had an amazing time at the Old World Inn. We truly felt at home, it had a romantic atmosphere. We felt like royalty when we went to the wine reception in their cellar. We were able to relax, and coffee and tea were available at all time.. Which is really nice after a long day of wine tasting.. We had a wonderful time and were treated very well here. We will for sure come back soon.

Located within walking distance of shops and restaurants, lovely B & B with VERY helpful staff. Traditional style rooms with lots of character. Breakfast is way above average. About as far away as you can get from a business style hotel, thankfully. We had a great time exploring trails (up Mt St Helena and the Skyline walk), walking only a few bocks to restaurants and enjoying the wine - of course!

We stayed in the Private Cottage and just loved it! The fireplace, jacuzzi, sky light...everything was just wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and light but filling. The B&B is perfectly located within walking distance of many restaurants, wineries and even a grocery store for quick incidentals. We ended up having to leave early on Sunday morning which meant we would miss breakfast that day. The innkeepers were very gracious and prepared a breakfast for us ahead of time so that we could have it in our room before we checked out...I'd say that was above and beyond our expectations! Highly recommend The Old World Inn!

This was our first trip to the Napa Valley. After much research, we decided to try a B & B. This was the most enjoyable vacation that we have ever had and the experience at the Old World Inn was a big part of that. The staff, acomodations, and food were all beyond our expectations. My 23 year old daughter and I came to Napa Valley for a much needed mother/daughter getaway. We were lucky enough to stay at the Old World Inn (Bed & Breakfast). The location was fabulous for us, just 1 ½ blocks from the heart of downtown Napa. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the accommodations at the Old World Inn and their staff. From my initial inquiries and throughout our stay, I want to especially thank Hillary for her information, care, and help. She went above and beyond providing area maps, coupons, discounts, and advice. Hillary also was able to make a reservation for us for a guided winery tour. When we were picked up for our winery tour the guide provided us with a special embossed journal/diary to keep notes about our tastings courtesy of ‘The Old World Inn’! This was just one of many nice touches the Inn provided. The gourmet breakfast each morning was delicious and started our day with a full tummy! I would highly recommend ‘the Old World Inn’ and hope to be able to revisit again in the future.

We really appreciated the security upon entering, and the warm greeting from the owner. We were early, but Russ took the time to give us some suggestions to start our day with. We wanted obscure wineries where the owners poured. We ended up visiting only 3 because of the great service we got! Back at the Inn, our room was incredibly nice. King bed that looked like a princess! Fireplace in the room and a jetted tub. We took advantage of the evening wine tasting and met some priceless new friends. All the fine restaurants are walking distance which I particularly liked. A nice walk in a safe neighborhood was perfect, just before the nightcap of chocolate. Like a well trained dog, I started to look forward to the evening return from town to find a new delectable chocolate treat under that glass dome in the hall. This may just be a B&B, but they could make a mint as just a breakfast hot spot. As the clock turned 9am, we descended the stairs to the catacombs of the inn to find a delightful wine cellar with five star set tables and a gourmet breakfast. Over the top is all I can say.

I would definitely recommend the Old World Inn! The room was just like I had seen in the picture! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was tasty. The best part of our stay, though, was the wine tasting in the cellar! The owner had great stories to tell and gave a little history behind different aspects of wine. He even brought out a bottle of wine from his own collection! This was by far a memorable hour! I will be going back for sure!

The Napa Old World Inn is a bed and breakfast that you will need to try. The structure of the building, inside and out, reminded me of my grandmothers home. Eating breakfast with other guests was a lovely experience, getting to know each other and conversing with the table was just like at home. A very warm and heartfelt experience. Breakfast was devine - souffle, scone, salsa and fruit - all homemade and delish! Brownies and truffles in the evening was decadent! Coffee and juice - rich, robust and flavorful. The Chocolat room where our friends stayed was so adorable. The entire experience took me back in time. We will definately come back!

Traveled to Napa from the East Bay Area for a Merle Haggard show at the Uptown Theater. Decided to spend the night and found this place on the internet. In the past most places I've tried to reserve in Napa have minimum 2 night stays. This place did not so we booked it for a Saturday night. Turned out to be perfect. Very close to down town Napa, easy to find, parking available, very nice rooms and great staff. Had a great breakfast served to us on Sunday morning before returning to Bay Area. Merle Haggard show was also great.

This inn has everything; comfort, coziness, cleanliness, fantastic food, wonderful location, and a helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in Terra, which was small, but had everything - jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and king size bed. An outstanding value, for sure! If you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway - this is it! The staff is friendly, not stuffy at all!

Our stay at the Old World Inn really set the bar high for any future trip. They booked all of our events for us, made us yummy breakfast and even arranged a nightly wine tasting event for everyone at the Inn. not to mention all the goodies they had on hand in between meals. What more could you ask for? Let's just say the next place we stay has a lot to live up to.

We have been staying at Bed and Breakfast's for years now, first time to Napa and Old World Inn, Fantastic, you would pay double and get less for what we got at any Hotel. Make sure you ask for the Breakfast in Bed Service, cause it is well worth not getting up and out for Breakfast after a great day of visiting the Wineries and Nightlife in Napa. Doesn't hurt that it is 5 star dining as well.

We came off season so the rate was quite discounted. We had a great time and really could not imagine a better experience. The room was cozy, inviting and clean, the food was fantastic and there are a few great little touches like coffee and tea available 24 hours a day, afternoon cookies, and nighttime dessert. The service was friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I spent three nights over the New Years' weekend at the Napa Old World Inn, in the Biblioteca room. The breakfasts were outstanding -- souffles with tasty breads, scones, etc. The only negatives were the lack of closet space (probably not an issue for most travelers who spend only one or two nights) and a tight fit in the shower due to the shower curtain closing in on the available space.
5 on January 05, 2013
My husband and I stayed in the Old World Inn for our belated honeymoon and I can without a doubt say that this was the most relaxing vacation of my life, due in large part to the Old World Inn. Our room was so cozy, with a fireplace (it was December) and a fluffy King bed. We were in one of the cottages (unbeknownst to us until our arrival!) which gave us wonderful privacy. We also had a huge kitchen attached to our room, again, a total surprise! It felt like they had put us in the honeymoon suite, even though we hadn't specifically requested it. We were also given a bottle of sparkling wine on Christmas because my husband is in the military. The breakfasts were truly wonderful, and we enjoyed both the breakfast in bed option as well as the breakfast in the wine cellar. We did both several times. It was so fun going to the main house to make coffee or tea or hot cocoa to take with us on our walks and drives through the valley. And we never got dessert at restaurants, knowing there would be a delicious treat waiting for us back at the B&B! Book this B&B--it was absolutely magical.

Terra room is beautiful with a large kitchen that was not advertised. The wine tasting was a nice bonus. The bed mattress was a little soft, but the room was outstanding otherwise--beautifully decorated. The inn was very accomodating and made sure I got a vegan breakfast. Everyone was very courteous. The coffee/tea and dvd selection is great. Cable would be a nice bonus since there are tvs in the rooms.

We checked in late, after hours, but as soon as we walked in, all we could say was "WOW!" It was like being home away from home. The environment was so warm and welcoming! I loved that we had a lot of DVD movies to choose from, having breakfast in the cellar, and the bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! I didn't want to go home. I told my husband that we definitely need to invest in one of those beds. We love how the staff would leave us cards with little notes, especially the night before we were going to check out, there was a card on our door letting us know that they would be bringing us Breakfast in Bed in the morning! Those little gestures made our experience more personal and it made us feel taken care of! Thank You! We will definitely visit Old World Inn again! ... Ana & Mario

The staff have a perminent smile and gracious words. The Inn keepers, Sharon &Russ are personable and never rush ANYONE. you could just accidently have walked in and asked for directions to another B&B and they will get you talking proudly about your family like you've known them for years! We went for our engagement celebration and we have already decided to go back for our honeymoon and anniversaries to follow! They are our second home!

Hilarie and her colleagues could not do enough to ensure one's every needs were met during the entire stay. Thank you so much for a truly memorable experience. Future return visits to Napa would not be complete without a stay at the Old World Inn. Please keep up the great work and may your 2013 be blessed.

My first visit to Napa Valley was amazing! Much thanks to the entire staff at Old World Inn from pre-arrival to post-departure, everyone was very nice and accommodating. My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the Acqua rooms, and we were both pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and layout. Wonderful location to downtown Napa (walking distance) and the chef was more than gracious in accommodating my dietary needs for daily breakfast. We will be back!

OWI was very cute. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the cottages which made our stay feel more secluded and like we were in a little house rather than in the main building. The rooms were very clean, and the perfect size for the 2 of us, who only used the room to sleep in. My only picky dislike was the bed was tooo soft for me, but my fiance thought it was just fine! The food was great, the breakfast's kept me full all through late afternoon! We loved the daily wine tastings at 5:30! and the recommended restaurants from Hilary at the front desk always gave us a great deal! OWI has some connections in the area and provides complimentary wine tastings through out the valley and at some of the local restaurants you can get a free appetizer! We would definitely recommend this B&B and would definitely stay here again when we plan to return!

Our room was small, but cozy, with a little fireplace in the wall and had a little outdoor seating area. The bed was very comfortable. There were wine tastings every evening and very tasty deserts at night. The food was very good. For Napa, it is a great value. I highly recommend it.

Wow, what a great find! We all loved this place. The location was convenient to restaurants, driving and morning runs. The Breakfasts were beyond what we expected and very delicious. The bed was super comfortable and the nightly outdoor fires were appreciated. Great place for a getaway!

Stayed in Secret Garden, lovely room right off kitchen. Worked well for us. Very clean, owner greeted us in morning. Declicious breakfast. Recommended Platypus for Napa Wine Tour, it was fabulous. Walking distance to downtown where we went to watch the baseball playoffs. Rooms are very nice with big screens and jacuzzi tubs, but we were only there for two days and busy busy so no time to enjoy. They boxed a breakfast up for us the day we left at 7:00 a.m. Thanks for everything. Great experience overall.

The innkeeper was very informative on what wineries to see and even got us special treatment for staying at Old World Inn. The rooms are amazing, very clean! We will definitely come back again and again. Btw, the breakfast is first class!

Innkeepers very knowledgeable about local attractions, restaurants, etc. Absolutely lovely people running a fantastic inn. We felt at home, and will definitely stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay with you - our first trip to Napa and we couldn't have asked for a more charming and welcoming place to stay! We will recommend you to all of our friends and look forward to staying with you again in the near future

The Inn hit 5 on all points from the size of the bedroom/bathroom to the service and special amenities it offer; Happy pleasant service, home baked cookies, wine tastings in the wine cellar with local wine makers, home made desserts and a delicious breakfast, coffee and teas all day long, fire places indoor/outdoor were very romantic, private parking, enjoyed the company of all the guests we met there.

Everything was wonderful! Great location, walking distance to wonderful restaurants and bars. The room was a little small, but that was to be expected. We had to catch an early flight and they were sweet enough to put breakfast in the refrigerator for us. I will be returning soon!

We loved our stay at Old World. Russ & Sharon went above and beyond to make sure our short stay was perfect. Thanks so much! Totally recommend staying there.

We loved our stay at The Napa Old World Inn as it was our first time to Napa and 2nd time for our bestfriends' who stayed in another part of town. We loved the embracing warmth of the staff, the intriging knowledge of Russ recanting his phenomenal stories and history of wine and 'wonder', and the exemplary customer service given by all the staff - at every level. We LOVED our stay and cannot wait to return to Russ and Sharon who made us feel like part of their family! xoxoxo "two best friend couples"

First time at a Bed and Breakfast and first time in Napa. Napa Old World Inn made both very memorable. Property was remodeled perfectly to include the old charm with modern technology and conveniences. (wireless internet. big screen tvs). Russ (the proprietor), was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with winery tours and tastings. The breakfast were exceptional. If I ever return to Napa, the Old World Inn would be my only lodging choice.

The sincerity of the owners and staff to make our visit a great time!

We stayed at the Old World Inn on our honeymoon. It was a great find! The room was clean and decorated very nicely. We had to leave early one morning, before breakfast would be served, and they made us a delicious breakfast to go that we were able to pick up on our way out. Talk about service!

Great place to stay. This was our first B & B, we worried about privacy but it was not an issue. Our rooms were perfect, immaculate. Breakfast was lovely, plus all the special treats. Delightful place, great location.

You should not even think twice. There is not a better B&B then the "Old World Inn" in Napa. The owners work at the Inn full time and it shows. Extremely helpful and friendly staff makes you feel you are home and a part of the family. The breakfast every morning is too die for. This is not your traditional breakfast you would expect. This is juices, cereals, puff pastries, egg souffle's, home baked bread & lots of other great non traditional items. We missed out on there evening treats due to poor planning on our part but heard wonderful things. We definitely will stay at this place without a shadow of doubt. Thank you Russ & Sharon

We had the La Bibilioteca Room. We totallly loved it! Location was great! You can walk to downtown Napa in 4 minutes. The wine tasting at the Inn each night along with some appetizers was always something to look forward to. The chocolate bar in the evening was superb! Definitely would return to Old World Inn on our next visit to Napa!

As first time Napa visitors, we were very lucky to have been able to stay with Russ and Sharon at the Napa Old World Inn. It is the perfect combination of laid back Napa hospitality and first class personal service. From the ease of checking in, to the nightly tastings by local wineries, to the made on site croissants at breakfast, the Napa Old World Inn surpassed our every expectation.

Just returned from a great week in CA, we started our trip in Napa. Russ and Sharon really went out of there way to make sure we had a wonderful visit. we had two other couples staying with us, one will be returning next month with 10 other guest. The location was perfect a nice easy walk to town, where ther were several quality resturants to chose from. Russ also will make you resevations with priority seating. If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Napa go no further stay at the Napa Old World Inn. Ken D Long Island NY

We loved our stay at the Napa Old World Inn. Our room was in the Polk St. house. Everything was extremely clean and the staff was wonderful! The breakfasts were delicious as were the cookies and nightly chocolates. We really enjoyed the nightly wine tasting in the wine cellar. It was very informative. The entire house has a beautiful atmosphere and charm. We definitely plan on returning and have already recommended it to several friends and family.

First B&B experience, will try more based on this wonderful inn! Called the afternoon of arrival for another room for my daughter. Hosts were so very accommodating. Gave me a good price even though we really needed the room and it was late. They even left a breakfast to-go for her because she had to leave very early the next morning. Obviously fantastic service. Rooms were large, bathroom large and nice enough for royalty. Bedding excellent. Way to go, Old World Inn!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in Sept 2012. The Night in Paris Room, while somewhat small, had a small balcony. As smokers, we appreciated being able to step out of the room, onto the balcony, without having to get dressed and leave the room. The bed was super-comfy...with lots of pillows. The large screen TV, with surround sound, was great for watching a few movies from the LARGE collection of DVDs kept onsite. They had multiple copies of Bottleshock and Sideways, both excellent Napa/Sonoma wine country movies. Only downside to the room was a high 'porthole' window above the balcony doors. There was no way to cover this window, allowing the early morning light to brighten the room earlier than my wife and I would prefer to awaken. On the plus side, the room was at the end of the hallway, so noise was minimal. By the way, the breakfasts were out of this world. This coming from parents of a chef. Would give this BNB a strong 9 out of 10.

My husband and I stayed in the Chocolat room at the Old World Inn Cabernet House and loved our room! He was especially fond of the projection TV inside our huge poster bed. From the moment we checked in, we were made to feel at home. Tom showed us where everything was and gave us some restaurant recommendations - most are within walking distance to downtown Napa, which is very conveneint after a long day of wine tasting. We especially enjoyed being able to stroll downstairs to a lovely breakfast each moring and hearing about all the great wineries from the other guests. The french press coffee, available at any hour, was awesome! We loved getting our decaf and plate of desserts each night and enjoying them in our room. I would highly recommend The Old World Inn if you're seeking a place to relax and enjoy all that wine country has to offer.

Our stay at Old World Inn was fabulous. My husband and I have traveled extensively around the globe, and this is the best B&B we have stayed in. The hospitality was superb and the breakfast was gourmet delicious. The wine tasting on-site was fun and a nice way to meet our temporary neighbors. The location is close to downtown restaurants and shops. I was concerned when I read that the room was small, but we were only in it to sleep and it was pleasantly quaint. We will be back next year.

We stayed a friday and Saturday night at the Old World Inn. It far exceeded my expectations in almost every way! Our breakfast was restaurant quality soufle and homemade pastry both days, the evening deserts and coffee were amazing, the innkeepers were helpful and attentive and offered great advice on where to eat, wineries to go to, how to avoid traffic etc. We stayed in the Aqua room and the bathroom was huge! The jetted tub was great, king size bed and sitting area were all things that I wasnt expecting from a B&B but made our stay very pleasant. I would definitely stay here over the hotels in Napa which cost a fortune but dont offer the perks that the Old World Inn offers!
4.4 on September 10, 2012
We stayed in 'Starry Night'. The room was great. The breakfast each morning was outstanding. We even had to leave early our last day to make our flight, and they made us a to-go breakfast. Local wineries come each afternoon to do a tasting, and that was a really nice perk. We'll stay here again if we're ever in the area.

Everything about our stay at Napa Old World Inn was wonderful! The room was small & cozy; loved the chocolate in the evening & the coffee available all day. The wine reception in the evening was a nice touch & breakfast was amazing...one of the best meals on our trip! The staff was very friendly & they kept a binder at the desk with local restaurants' menus-great idea!

I was curious to stay in this B&B, recommended by friends and in the Net and finally we had the opportunity to book and visit the Napa Valley. Our expectations have been exceeded, beautiful venue, excellent food (We loved the homemade cookies and the breakfast), very kind personnel and owners. Every detailed is taken care to make the stay unforgettable. We hope to have the opportunity to visit it again.

Once you try this B&B, you will never want to stay at a hotel. Me and my daughter stayed at the Chocolate room. The pictures are not even close how beautiful this room is. I was the last person taking a bath in an original 106 years old bathtub. The inkeeper is super nice, and what a cook! If you are going to Napa, I can't think of a better place to go than this.

We loved our stay. The room (Starry Night) was perfect (we did not find it too small), and we loved the outdoor tub (perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine). The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, happy to provide advice about wineries to visit and tour and about places where we could stop to eat nearby. We loved the small touches, such as coffee and tea always being available and the cookies and desserts. It was truly as if we stayed with good friends. In addition, we loved the wine and appetizers in the evening -- the host was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It was not simply "wine and snacks are available," but, instead, more like a tasting seminar held by an expert. We loved it and found it extremely welcoming and educational! All in all, it was a perfect getaway.

I wanted to surprise my wife for our 25th. All the way to Napa Valley she was trying to figure out where we were going. Well, she figured out that we were spending the day in Napa Valley, but she was very surprised when I pulled into Old World Inn! I had told her to pack an overnight bag "in case the day got long and we needed to spend the night somewhere." She didn't know that I had already registered. Old World Inn is actually several properties around Napa. We stayed in the Main House. It was located within walking distance of Napa square, where there are lots of restaurants and fun shops. The owners/inn keepers made a great suggestion for dinner and even steered us away from places that looked interesting but probably wouldn't have pleased our palates. They were also very helpful in helping us to schedule our day as this was our first visit to Napa Valley. The list of little 'extras' goes on and on - from the cookies when we checked in, to the complimentary wine tasting and snacks, to the chocolate deserts that were in the common area when we got back from dinner - it was like you were being welcomed to stay at your favorite Aunt and Uncle's house! Overall, Old World Inn helped to make our 25th a very enjoyable occasion!

Disappointing, overrated, over priced, not worth it. Just spent two nights here, and what a waste of money. Wow, my wife and I have stayed at easily 10 better bed and breakfasts in the last year. Stains in the carpet, in desperate need of replacement. Mac and cheese for breakfast? Not what you expect for over $250 a night. Second morning breakfast did not offer fresh fruit, and pretty much the same souffle, without the macaroni. The bed was lumpy and pillows thin and uncomfortable. Service was fine. Water in a cooler in the dining area was merely tap water. Either the other reviewers have been disingenuous or have not experienced a quality b n b. I have never been this mislead with a property.

It can't get much better than the Old World Inn B&B in Napa. The breakfast is delicious each morning, and the B&B is in walking distance to everything in Downtown Napa. Plus, the place/rooms are adorable. I'd highly recommend it!

Beautiful grounds...room was very nice...loved the wine tasting...excellent food. The location is very good and they give you an excellent pamphlet with information on all the walkable restaurants and things to do. Would highly recommend this place!

This is our second time at the Old World Inn in Napa. It has become a bit of a tradition to do our anniversary celebration in Napa, so when we do an overnight stay, it has been here. The service is courteous and efficient, the breakfasts both mornings were excellent, and we've now done two different rooms in the main house, Bella Tuscany this time around, and the Starry Night the last time, with Starry Night being our favorite. Since we were return customers, we were offered either a complimentary champagne, or complimentary breakfast in bed, so we opted for the latter. It's a nice change from the usual hotel experience, and convenient to many shopping areas/restaurants/vineyards in the Napa Valley. Highly recommend!

From the freshly baked cookies at check-in to the wine tasting with snacks in early evening the Napa Old World Inn complements the fine dining available in the area. Upon returning for the evening you will get two kinds of chocolate desserts to sample. The next morning features the gourmet breakfast using fresh, local ingredients. Individual French press coffee as well as flavored water is available all day. A treat for the taste buds all stay long.

Our stay was wonderful. Russ and Sharon were so helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Chocolate chip cookies at checkin with strawberry lavender infused water. very nice touch. The wine tasting each night in the wine cellar was great before dinner. And the breakfast each day was delicious and fantastic. Loved it. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We arrived late and Sharon met us with our key at the door, the staff at breakfast was very friendly and professional. My favorite part was the the rooms were beautifully updated with modern touches but with respect to the character of the building. It was a great spot in the city of napa-close enough to walk but not in the center of everything and also a great central location to wineries. I will recommend the Old World Inn to friends for sure!
5 on July 15, 2012
We have been pampered. The place is marvelous. Many details made our staying so great. Our room was comfortable and also well decorated just as the cottage. The tasting at 5 O'clock helped us to go Hagafen the day after. Camed back home with one of their bottle. We have an uncommon and delightful breakfast . A tasteful omelette that looked like a sunshine in our plate. Could not ask more.
5 on July 15, 2012
We had a lovely relaxing weekend at the Old World Inn, our room was the smallest but it was plenty big as we were out at various places during the day. Even being right off the main lobby our room was quiet and we were not disturbed by people passing through the lobby. Everything about our stay was exactly as described online and in emails we received from the inn. Thank you for a great weekend!

The Napa Old World Inn was strongly recommended to us by friends, and we couldn't be happier with our stay! The Innkeepers were so welcoming, and their recommendations made our trip very memorable. The Inn is located within walking distance to downtown Napa, was clean, and the food was fabulous. If we ever find ourselves back in Napa, I have no doubt we'll stay here again.

The Old World Inn is a fantastic B&B on the edge of downtown Napa. The innkeepers pay far more attention to your comforts than a typical B&B. The rooms are delightfully decorated, but with modern features like large flat-screen TVs and a separate thermostat! Breakfasts are four-star. You'll enhoy relaxing in the back courtyard around a fire with fresh oranges right from the tree above you. Walking distance to everything downtown including the Wine Train, their map will be your guide. If you want to get away for a weekend, a week, or a special occasion, the OWI is for you.

This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience and we were so impressed! The owners are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. They know the area extremely well and act as a wonderful concierge service to help with dinner reservations and tips about what vineyards to go to, etc. You can tell that they sincerely care about pleasing their guests. They have created a very hospitable atmosphere! Our room was fantastic! We stayed in one of the Aria rooms (which I believe is one of their smallest rooms) but we actually thought it felt bigger than the picture online showed. It was a perfect place to crash at night after lots of wine tastings! It was all the little things that added up to making Old World Inn such a great experience for us. Breakfast was great- very delicious! We enjoyed our fair share of cookies put out throughout the day and always looked forward to coming back from dinner to grab a few chocolates and some french press coffee. We utilized the movies they had available frequently and loved learning about smaller vineyards at the daily wine receptions held in the wine cellar. The location is fantastic- easily walkable to several world-class restaurants in downtown Napa. They even provided us with a map of suggested restaurants that they put together for their guests. I have already recommended Old World Inn to many friends! You will not be disappointed.

We were up for a wedding in Clear Lake and didn't want to go all the way home so I mentioned that we could stay at the Old World Inn again. The first time is when we went on The Wine Train. Our room was perfect, fireplace, spa tub, chairs and a table by the window.. and the breakfast was superb. In walking distance to shopping and restaurants.. My husband suggested spending our anniversary there in August... will be making my reservations soon.

My husband and I stayed here for our fourth anniversary, and were totally blown away by the Napa Old World Inn. The rooms were quaint, but so cozy, and the staff was so helpful. The amenities were great, and really made you feel welcome. We loved the complimentary wine tasting and desserts, and of course the single serving french press! When we checked in the staff was so warm and helpful. They gave us recommendations for dinner and walked us to our room, where we found wine glasses and a congratulatory card for our anniversary. The next morning, breakfast was amazing and Russ was on hand to introduce himself and give us tips on getting around Napa, where to eat and where to taste. We were hoping for a friendly bed and breakfast, that was walking distance to downtown, and we ended up with so much more! We'll definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the "Aqua" room and couldn't have been more pleased. It surpassed our expectations. The location was wonderful...short walking distance to downtown as well as supermarket for any essentials anyone may have forgotten to pack. The staff was more than helpful with recommendations, directions, etc... Our only complaint is that breakfast was only served between 9 and 10.

Really great little place for a Napa experience. Staff was extremely helpful. Close enough to downtown for walking to tasting rooms and the excellent restaurants. Breakfast and desserts were incredible. We were on a mildly busy street but you couldn't really tell from inside. The main house is on a quieter street. Room was very cute. Both buildings were old with original type furnishings. Really nice. Definitely recommend this inn.

We enjoyed our stay at Napa Old World Inn and look forward to going back! Russ and Sharon were delightful and very helpful. Amenities were too abundant to list. Location was perfect for all we wanted to do and see as well. Meals were excellent. Afternoon wine tastings and late night desserts were icing on the cake! This is a place not to be missed. You will surely have a memorable time and find a way to get back...we sure are!

My husband and I traveled to Napa for a special trip, and had such an amazing time. The vacation was everything we wanted it to be. Our stay at the Old World Inn was wonderful and we loved the personal attention we received each day to help us plan our activities. If we travel to Napa again, we would definitely stay at the Old World Inn again.

This was our very first trip to Napa and it won't be our last. We were in CA on business and decided to belatedly celebrate our 25th anniversary with two nights at the Old World Inn. It was fabulous. The room was spectacular and Sharon and Russ were so helpful in the planning of our exploration of the wineries (something that we don't have here in FL). It was a place to totally relax and be pampered.

My husband and I decided to stay at The Old World Inn for our joint 30th birthday vacation getaway to Napa Valley in June. We chose to stay here because the inn had been featured in Oprah Magazine and I figured Oprah wouldn't steer me wrong. I am so happy we chose this place! The inn is super charming, the food is delicious and the service we received was above our expectations. Our room (Aria 8) was gorgeous and the spa tub was unlike any tub I had ever seen. We made it our routine to take a spa bath at the end of every day! The owners, Russ and Sharon, make themselves available frequently throughout the day and give the best restaurant recommendations! I can not say enough wonderful things about this place and we will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I spent a few days in Napa prior to a week in Sonoma. Found this B&B after reading lots of reviews. We stayed in one of the aqua suites and the room was fantastic. The bed was incredibly comfortable with down comforters and great pillows! Our hosts were very helpful and gracious. They are passionate about what they do and it shows. They made reservations for us at Morimoto and when we got there we were presented with two glasses of champagne compliments of The Old World Inn. Then we were given an appetizer also from The Old World Inn - over the top! The breakfast is seriously the best I have had at any B&B. Each morning a new type of fresh fruit followed by an egg dish and specialty breads or croissants. Fresh juice and coffee too. Thank you Russ and Sharon for making our stay fabulous. I would highly recommend this B&B. In fact it was so great, we came back at the end of our trip for one more night and one more breakfast.

Great location to downtown Napa. Wonderful and helpful host and hostess. Outstanding knowlege of the area and very accommodating with making recommendations and reservations for dining and tours. Nightly wine tastings at the Inn along with outstanding breakfasts, cookies at four and desserts in the evening made us feel like we were staying at a favorite relatives home. Although the room was on the small side; a king size bed, a 50" TV and DVD player, a large bath with 6ft. jacuzzi tub, a corner fireplace and beautiful wooden window seat along with generous closet space were perfect for our three night stay. A hidden gem. We look forward to a return visit. Thanks Russ and Sharon for your hospitality.

Spent 2 nights in June 2012. Great service and Russ gave us great advice to suit our style for a self drive wine tour. Excellent location to base a wine tour from as well as stroll into Napa town for dinner. Delicious breakfasts, evening desserts and enjoyed the wine tastings at the Inn as well. Not cheap, but that's Napa and if you're going to go there, this is a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended.

We couldn't decide on a place to stay and ended up finding the Old World Inn last minute. We needed two different beds which was difficult to find in the Napa area for a B&B. I'm really glad we decided to stay at the OWI. The room was small, but we didn't spend much time in there. The service was great and the staff was friendly and helpful with giving us suggestions on where to go. I would stay here again next time I come back to Napa.

The Old World Inn was such a lovely surprise. The bed was amazing and the room was so cozy. We loved the jacuzzi tub also. I think our favorite part was the breakfasts!!!! I never thought I would ever have a Macaroni and cheese egg souffle for breakfast!!! YUM!! I hope we make it back to Napa soon!

Everything about Napa Old World Inn was wonderful - we drove up from the South Bay for a weekend getaway and were exceedingly happy with our stay. The innkeeper was attentive and warm - made us feel welcome from the start. It was the little things that impressed us - making sure we knew how to work the spa tub, tv, that there were desserts and a wine tasting, pre-loaded French presses, suggestions for dinner, in the event we didn't have plans. The level of service really exceeded my expectations. This being my first time at a B&B, I was concerned that it would be too overbearing and invasive, but the innkeeper was discrete, friendly and left us alone to enjoy our weekend. I admit I felt a little pressure to make small talk at breakfast, but that's probably a rookie feeling :) The room was very well appointed - very clean - very comfortable. We'll definitely go back and recommend to others.

We traveled from Atlanta with our "kids" (18 and 22) and stayed for 5 days. The people were wonderful, the breakfasts were exceptional and the location was just perfect for our plans. We had planned to tour wineries during the day with picnics for lunch and return in the early evening to try local restaurants for dinner. OWI is within easy walking distance of downtown Napa, and the dining options there are great. We didn't have a bad meal. We especially enjoyed the Thursday night downtown Chef's Market (or whatever it is called). OWI's tradition of having local wineries in for on-premise tastings was a hit, as well, and the desserts were very tasty. We'll be back as soon as we can - and the kids may or may not get the option to join us!

This was the first time in a bed and breakfast. Husband in the resort business so wasn't sure how he would like it but he loved it. Very clean, romantic, close walk to downtown where there are great shops and restaurants. Recommendation for a wine tour was excellent.

When looking for a place to celebrate my Wife and I's five year wedding anniversary I can across the Old World Inn. After reading a number of reviews and glancing through the pictures I committed to book our stay. When we arrived to the Old World Inn we were greeted by the Inn Keeper. Check in was quick and we received a tour of the Inn and the many number of accommodations they offered. These included, a coffee station, home made cookies, a wine tasting every night and breakfast in the morning to name a few. The Old World Inn combines the decor of the past with the comforts of the present. When we arrived it our room, it was clean, cool (which was great because the temperature outside was hot) and prepared for our arrival. The Inn had a card on the night stand wishing us a Happy Anniversary, a touch my wife and I appreciated. The Inn is located just one block from town which makes walking to the many restaurants and wine tasting rooms convenient. Laurie at the front desk provided us great recommendations of places to eat, see and wine rooms to go to. Laurie offered to make dining arrangements for us as well. My wife and I participated in the Wine Tasting which is help by different wineries daily. It was a great experience from the appetizers and wine presentation. Breakfast the next morning was amazing. Freshly prepared when you arrive, presentation was amazing and the food was awesome! My wife and I enjoyed the night by the number of fire pits located around the property. On our next Napa trip, my wife and I will be booking our stay at The Old World Inn again.

I love the fact that it is close to downtown and we were able to walk around with little effort. They also gave us tips on how to drive around without hitting traffic which made our stay more enjoyable and no stress. Their bathrooms were clean and organize and breakfast was definitely delicious and homemade.

The service was round the clock excellent, and the staff made you feel at home. The room was warm and comfortable. The dining was excellent. Centrally located in the heart of Napa. Walking distance to everything. The guest appearances by top wine makers (Robert Mondavi) really made this B & B stand out. We were there celebrating our tenth year anniversary we did not want to leave. I could go on and on, but see for yourself. You cannot believe the room rates.

This was our first experience staying at a B&B. We loved it because it seemed like we were returning home each evening after a long day. The breakfast was good and the yummy desserts were fabulous to come home to after dinner. We would love to go back soon!

We stayed in the Starry Night room. It was secluded and comfy. We were surprised to see how many people were at breakfast because we never heard a peep from our room. The breakfast was wonderful as well as dessert before bedtime!

We stayed in the Acqua room for two nights in May 2012. It was very clean, comfortable, beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. The hosts were accomodating in every way. I will definately recommend this to my friends!

We met great people, had excellent food, and the staff was extremely helpful. The wine tastings in the cellar were an added bonus and a great way to meet people and to try out a few wineries that you may not have had a chance to otherwise.

Napa Old World Inn exceeded our expectations. The welcome note was a very nice touch. We very much enjoyed the wine tasting, the breakfast was delicious each morning and the chocolates offered in the evening were out of this world. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful. When we retrun to Napa, No question, Old World Inn is where you will find us !! Thank you for a wonderful visit.

We loved this Bed and Breakfast. We have never stayed at one before, but we will for sure be back. The room was wonderful, the people and the atmosphere were outstanding. It was a great way to start our Honeymoon.

We loved the inn! In addition to being a charming place in a great location with delicious food, the stagg really care. Sharon and Russ gave great local recommendations, helped with driving routes and tips for getting the most out of the Napa experience. We'll be back!

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at the Old World Inn. The staff and inn keeper were very friendly and personable. They were eager to help us with directions, questions, etc. From 5:30-7:00, they had someone come from a nearby winery to give the guests a wine tasting. They were very generous on the pours. It was a social atmosphere where we chatted with other guests and just enjoyed the wine. They also had little chocolate desserts set out for the guests during the evening. They were small, but really good...just enough to get a taste/quick chocolate fix. There were also coffees, teas, and hot chocolate set out for guests all day/night. They had a water cooler, too. It was really convenient because you could fill up your water bottle. They also had an extensive DVD collection for those people interested in watching movies. We stayed in the Terra room. This room is quite small, but we knew that going in to it. It was enough space for one night and it met our needs. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom shower/tub was huge. We stayed at the Polk Street location. It was a very quiet, safe and lovely neighborhood. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the downtown area. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay in Napa and the Old World Inn. I would definitely recommend the Old World Inn to family and friends.

Booked last minute to join some friends and when the inn realized we would be split up for breakfast b/c we were in different buildings, they upgraded our room for free! It was our first time to Napa and we were given a great map, lots of great suggested wineries/restaurants and a pass for 1/2 off at a winery. We have stayed at a b&b before that was a little too "charming" (aka felt like you were staying at your grandmas), and weren't sure what to expect at the Old World Inn. Very pleasantly surprised that it was much more classic and clean and the buildings were very beautiful. Breakfast was great, the wine tasting was great and we unfortunately missed the chocolate, but hear it was great too. I forgot my glasses there and they immediately mailed them to my house without hesitation. Went above and beyond and was a great value and experience. Will definitely be back soon!

We stayed in the main house. It was quaint and homey. The room was very small but nice. The chocolates were very nice and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! Well worth getting up for. Great location. Nice areas to sit outside. The wine tasting at the Inn was a little boring and akward. No one really talked. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

I would recommend this B&B to anybody who likes to be treated special. My daughter, son in law and I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. We had a bike tour scheduled one morning and we were needing to leave earlier than when breakfast was being served. We asked if we could have our breakfast boxed to go however the innkeeper(Tom) felt we should be treated special and set up a table in the courtyard early enough for us to have a sit down breakfast with the staff taking the time to wait on us privately. There was always some type of chocolate waiting for the guests in the evening, our favorite were the brownies. The rooms were wonderful,we had a big 2 bedroom suite with a full bathroom and a powder room. We will be back and I have already recommended Old World Inn to several of my friends.

We only stayed one night at the Napa Old World Inn, but that didn’t stop the inn keepers from bending over backward to help us plan our dinner location and winery tour the next day. Sharon and Russ are perfect examples of what B&B hosts should be, and remind us why we chose B&Bs over hotels. Thank you for a wonderful stay. If we ever find ourselves in Napa again, we will certainly book our room at this B&B.
4.8 on April 29, 2012
We had a very nice, up to date room in this grand old victorian house. with luxurious linens and huge jet bath. The B&B is in a pleasant neighborhood, truly in walking distance from the downtown area. The" wine cellar" is another great space to enjoy a tasty breakfast. I felt it was a great value for the wine country, overall we had a great stay and will return.
5 on April 17, 2012
It was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and it could not have been more perfect. The owners are very hands on and genuinely care that you are having a perfect stay. All the personal touches make it that much more special. From the cookies at check in, to the gourmet breakfast, to the evening wine tastings complete with cheese and crackers, and the homemade chocolate truffles, they really go above and beyond. At two of our evenings wine tastings, they even had live music in the wine cellar. The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfy, ours had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. You may hesitate because of the warnings of how tiny they are, but don't let that deter you... There is enough room for 3 full size suitcases, and what they lack in size, they make up for in charm! Also, there are many other rooms to choose from if you're worried. :) Breakfast is served in a perfect wine cellar, so intimate, so romantic, and SO tasty! An amazing way to start your day in the Napa Valley. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly, and you are always greeted with a smile. Russ (one of the owners) even set up a wine tour for us very, very last minute! I would not hesitate to stay here again in the very near future. This place is amazing! I think this bed and breakfast ruined it for every 5 star hotel and b&b I have to stay at when I'm not in Napa. We will be back!

We arrived late, yet found very detailed and easy instructions to access our room. Tom, the manager met us the next morning and made my wife and I feel very welcome. He set us up for a tour of several wineries through Platypus tours (also an excellent company) and spent a great deal of time customizing our own wine-tasting "self tours" of the countryside, pointing out great deals, museums and art exhibits as well. The food was excellent and the owner was very friendly as well. We would definitely stay here again.

4.6 on March 23, 2012
LOVED this place. The owners are EXTREMELY helpful & sweet, especially dealing with dinner reservations and winery recommendations. Breakfast was delicious. Charming little room, small, but not TOO small. The room we were in was on the first floor so it could be a bit noisy at times when people were walking past, but other than that - no complaints here. Chocolates in the evening and coffee all day in the lobby. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Napa.

We had a great 3 night stay at Old World Inn. The room and bathroom were immaculate. Breakfasts were delicious along with the evening wine tastings and homemade chocolates. The innkeeper was really helpful in assisting us plan our day and making reservations for vineyards and dinner. Cozy bed and quiet rooms allowed for great nights of sleep after long days of wine tasting!
5 on March 22, 2012
The staff was very welcoming and knowledgable about the area. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the in room fireplace awesome. The tub was huge! The jets were too loud, like a vacuum, so we didnt use them, but its perfect for soaking and easily fit two people. The breakfast each day was very delicious. The onoly drawback was that breakfast is at 9, which seems a little late to start your day; but on the other hand forces you to relax for a while. A bed and breakfast is the way to go for this sleepy town, and we will no doubt be back to this one in particular.
5 on March 16, 2012
After the most horrible flight it was just wonderful to sink into the big soft bed. The next morning started with a superb breakfast in the gorgeous breakfast room and the day just got better and better. The winery reccomendations were all wonderful. We bought as many bottles as we could pack. We took part in the wine tasting that evening and even learned a few things. The chocolate treats were the perfect little morsels to finish off the day. The whole miserable experience of my previous day just melted away. Wished we could have stayed longer.
4.4 on March 14, 2012
We stayed in the Walden Cottage, which is private and extremely quiet. Perfect for light sleepers or just those who prefer more seclusion. Tucked back behind the main inn, the cottage is equipped with everything you need for a romantic vacation - fireplace, jacuzzi tub, king-size canopied bed. It was lovely! Breakfast in the AM was delicious and inventive, enjoyed with fellow guests around a large table. Tom provided wonderful advice on where to eat and an excellent winery tour. With the Inn's proximity to downtown, it's the perfect location to walk to numerous fabulous restaurants. We will definitely be back!

A great place to stay in the middle of Napa and within walking distance to tasting rooms and restaurants. The value was outstanding because we did stay in the offseason when prices are exceptionally good.
5 on March 05, 2012
Our visit to Old World Inn was amazing! From the moment we walked in (and we were early), we were greeted with a smile, a fruit infused water, a full detail of the area, suggested places to dine, suggested wineries, coupons for wine tastings, coupons for tours, and a map to guide our travels. Our room exceeded expectations - an extremely comfortable bed, gas fireplace, large flat screen TV, jetted tub, and lots of charm. The evening wine tastings (from a different winery every night) were such a terrific addition to the incredible breakfast and evening treats. The Inn Keeper even went out of her way to make a non-chocolate dessert every evening since I am allergic to chocolate. It was our first trip to Napa, so we had lots of questions and needed a lot of guidance. The Old World Inn wasn't just a charming, comfortable and extremely convenient place to stay in Napa (walking distance to 30 restaurants downtown), but it was also like having our own Napa expert to guide our experience. With Sharon's recommendations, we visited about 15 wineries and had the time of our lives in just 3 days (short visit). The Old World Inn is a must 'stay' location in Napa - walking distance to downtown and only 5-20 minutes drive to 100s of wineries. I highly recommend it! Enjoy! A & V

My stay at the Napa Old World Inn was truly a wonderful adventure! I was in town overnight for a business meeting and made decided to try one of the B & B's in Napa. I'm so tired of the chain hotels! I called the Inn and spoke with the reservation clerk. From the beginning the exchange was delightful. The interest shown to detail and my specific needs was extraordinary. Upon arrival I was given the tour of the facility and shown to my room. The room was spacious, well appointed with antiques and had all of the current up to date amenities. The bathroom was HUGE and had a delicious spa tub as well as a walk in shower. The bed was quite possibly the best bed I have ever slept in when away from home. The linens were crisp, clean and fragrant. Though I spent only one night it will be a night I remember for a very long time.... and the best part is that I get to go back!

My husband and I spent a long week-end here and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Our room was clean and comfortable with fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. The location in Napa makes it easy to walk downtown to restaurants and shopping. Yes, it faces a busy road but the traffic slows at night and it didn't bother us - we had the only room at the front of the house. Tom, at the desk, was full of information and suggestions. Of course, the evening chocolate treats were perfect and a sweet way to end our day. This is a wonderful B&B that if you give it a try you will enjoy!

We stayed three nights in February and loved everything about the Inn, from the friendly welcome to the sweet treats provided for guests. The room was lovely and we slept so well in the comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the fireplace and spa tub in the evenings. The breakfasts were delicious, and we made it to one wine tasting in the cellar which we enjoyed.

We stayed for four days in the off season, and the room was discounted for this time period which made the value excellent. Full price would have been expensive for the facility. The staff was very friendly and helped with planning trips to nearby towns and one trip to Mendocino. The breakfasts were very good and afternoon and evening chocolate treats were great. They even made breakfasts to go with us when we left early one morning. Individual French press coffee makers were always available. I usually get up early and had some coffee and read the paper in the sitting area. There was a different vineyard representative every afternoon for wine tasting. It was a nice time to talk with more locals and the other guests. The rooms had old world charm with modern amenities.Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

My husband and I celebrated our 8th anniversary at Napa Old World Inn. The gourmet breakfasts were outstanding, as were the compimentary chocolates, which are set out every night at 7pm. We also looked forward to the complimentary appetizers and wine tastings each day at 5:30pm. This is by far the best value we have ever received at a B&B. We enjoyed the feeling of an old house with the conveniences of modern amenities, such as the large jacuzzi tub with great jets and endless piping hot water! The staff was very helpful in helping us plan our Napa and Sonoma adventures each day, as it was our first trip to this part of the state. Arnel & Susan P., Plano, Texas.

Really Really nice overnight stay ! Extremely clean house & rooms. Attention to every small detail - french press coffee in the morning accompanied by fresh cream, french music in the breakfast room. Nice evening reception with wine maker. Russ is extremely helpful making coveted dinner reservations, sending us to wineries with tasting coupons. Great central location to tour Napa or even hop over to Sonoma. Hope to come back again soon. Cindy

WOW!, what a wonderful place. The Old World Inn (we stayed at the one on Polk) was extremely charming, our room #12 was fantastic, and the breakfasts and desserts were wonderfully delicious. Also, we really enjoyed the wine tasting every night. Talk to Russ before you head to the wineries, he has great recommendations and tasting coupons! I think we found a permanent place to stay when we're in Napa. See you next time!

My wife and i stayed in thier private cottage and it really was private. We loved it. Their attention to detail was really what made our stay even better. My wife really loved how they even supply q tips and these little pads that helped to remove her make up. Another little uniqe thing they had was journal that was on top of the firplace mantel. Anyone who stays in that room can write and add thier own chapter for future guest to read. We loved reading some of those entries. We will be returning!

My wife and I (as well as two other couples) were looking for a B & B in Napa to do our first tour of the Napa valley with the usual touristy type events: tastings, dinings, etc. The napa world inn website/video looked too good to be true, especially with the great price. I hesitantly booked the three rooms for our group and when we arrived from Florida, all of our expecatations were exceeded. The rooms, service, breakfast......in fact, every facet of our stay was completely wonderful. It will be hard not returning to this B & B for our subsequent trips to Napa valley.

We stayed 5 days / 4 nights at Napa Old World Inn. It is a delightfully charming place with the most helpful staff in the world. The breakfast(s) were incredible, not only satisfyingly delicious, but exceptionally presented as well. We hope to return to Napa Old World Inn.

This was our first time ever staying in a B&B and we had no idea what to expect...the Old World Inn FAR exceeded anything we'd dreamed of! Our room, La Biblioteca, was small but had a big projector tv, fireplace, and the cutest/cleanest bathroom. We were greeted by Tom who was very friendly and helpful. The wine tastings in the main room are so fun b/c you get drinks, snacks, and conversation with people from all over the world! One of the best parts of our stay was the breakfasts! The food is unbelievable and we were stuffed and satisfied each morning. I would recommend Old World Inn to anyone!

We stayed in the Sole room, which was indeed small but as long as you know that going in you wont be disappointed. The staff was great and extremely friendly. They put delicious snacks out in the evening and even have private wine tastings and events in the cellar. Location is perfect and walking distance from everything downtown Napa has to offer. And lastly, from what I can tell when we booked our stay, it is the absolute best value for travelers on a budget.

My husband and I had a much-too-short stay at the Old World Inn! There were many little touches like coffee presses all ready to go, a huge selection of movies to borrow, chocolates and cookies available, a delicious breakfast and many fabulous restuarants walking distance to the Inn. Our room (Aqua) was very pretty and inviting and the jacuzzi tub was a perfect touch. My only comment is that this room is right across from the wine cellar, which is where breakfast was served, so it was a little noisy in the morning. But everyone was very friendly, the room and inn were clean and inviting...can't wait to go back!

The Napa World Inn is a great place to stay. We got an incredible deal (late November), better than other inns in the area. The room was super clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom had a jacuzi spa tub. The gourmet breakfast was wonderful and filling. The personal-sized french presses, available 24-7 in regular and decaf, is the perfect touch. They even offered to mail a pillow we left behind to us! Great place, highly recommended!!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had a magical relaxing stay at the Old World Inn. Personal touches such as providing soy milk for my lactose intolerance to a personalized welcome card in the room were surprising and appreciated effort. The extras like the amaretto soaked chocolate cake and the amusing wine tasting (that was educational as well) made this B&B a great value. Last but not least, the breakfast was great too - all food groups and a substantial serving - I had to pass half of the egg/cheese/potato souffle garnished with mango salsa to my husband to finish. We'll be talking about our stay for years!

I would recommend this B&B to anyone it was perfect. :-)

Stayed one night and loved the place. We booked the Walden Cottage at the back of the property and really liked the extra space and peace/quiet. Old World Inn location allowed us to abandon our car for a while and walk around Napa on a beautiful fall day before coming back for the small wine tasting event provided for all of the guests. We had chosen the "breakfast in bed" option for the following morning and, at a little after 9am, the food was brought out to the cottage. As early risers, we were already up and had debated leaving before breakfast was served. Luckily, we didn't as breakfast was completely awesome. We'll be back when we actually have a few days and can combine our stay with trips out to the nearby wineries, etc. Thanks to Tom and Vic. Jay and Victoria Reno

My wife and I had one of the best nights ever. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and Vic was a superb host. He was very knowledgeable. When we experienced some problems operating the television, the inn owner personally came to our room to troubleshoot. We loved the warm colors and extensive wood. The recent renovation is authentic and classic. We loved the dining area in the cellar. Breakfast was modest and pleasant. We received curbside travel service to the airport and the location was perfect. We would return next month if our schedules permitted. D and D Jones

My husband and I stayed there only one day/night and we were SO sad to leave. It was truly a wonderful place. Very romantic but would also be a cute place for a girls' weekend or even a small family. Everyone there was super friendly and accommodating. The room was absolutely wonderful (we stayed in Bella Tuscany). You have all the charm and coziness of a bed and breakfast here but with lots of amenities as well. They have a whole wall of DVDs for you to use, full access to the kitchen, etc. When we arrived they had a wine tasting going on that we got to partake in, and they have fun little things like a midnight chocolate buffet and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay, we would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Also very reasonable price!

This was our first trip to Napa and we had an excellent time at the Napa Old World Inn. The rooms were small but just what you need, the breakfast was AMAZING and the walk to down took less than 5 minutes. Very very worth it!

Russ and Sharon are excellent hosts and business owners as far as I can tell. This is what a B&B should be about. Sharon not only had excellent suggestions for dinner locally but made the reservation and put in a special request for a table by the fire b/c we had mentioned we'd like that. In the morning Russ made us a delicious breakfast and then took an exceptional amount of time to show us exactly where to go and where to avoid going in Napa. The service was phenomenal, the Inn is gorgeous and I will certainly be staying at the Old World Inn again. One mention is that some of the rooms are on the small side but they're beautiful rooms so that didnt bother us.

The innkeepers go above and beyond to make your stay great and worthy of returning to. We loved all the small details in this b&b that helped make it so wonderful. One of my top fav b&b of all time!

The Napa Old World Inn had a very convenient location and the beds were just like sleeping on a cloud!!! The atmosphere was exactly as you would imagine...just like home! The Inn keeper was extremely helpful when asked his recommendations on restaurants as well as winerys to visit. The only downside we found was the parking. It was pretty cramped and limited, yet we found it hard to park on the street as we were not too comfortable parking a rental car on the curve in a 5 lane road! Other than that, it was a wonderful experience!!!

We had a great time at the Old World Inn. The room was very nice and staff was very helpful with suggestions and dinner reservations. We met some great people staying at the Inn and enjoyed our whole experience. The location was great and a short walk to downtown Napa. The wine tasting every evening was a very nice touch. The treats that were left out every evening were nice to have after returning from dinner and a night on the town. The breakfast each morning was unbelievable. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone. We will be back.

Six of us stayed in one cottage and it was a great experience. Our cottage had a total of 3 seperate rooms. Two couples stayed in the Terra 2 room. It had a little kitchenette and a small room attached. The beds are very comfy and everything is so clean! We even had a small balcony. The other couple stayed in the Acqua room. The bathtub in that suite was HUGE with JETS! We all were very comfortable and loved the gas fireplaces. It is a wonderful place to stay and the staff is very friendly!

We had a great visit at the Old World Inn. This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and loved it. The breakfasts in the morning were creative and delicious. We also loved sitting by the fire pit at night visiting with other people staying at the Inn.

We were visiting Napa to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. We had been to Napa a year before and stayed at one of the expensive high end hotel chains. The friends we travelled with had stayed at the Old World Inn few years ago and raved about it. I trusted their opinion but didn't think much about it and didn't really think it would be as amazing as it was. When we first walked in, we were greeted and showed around the house. I was so beautiful, clean and quaint but the amenities were even more appreciated. The amazing breakfast each morning, I'm not talking bagels and muffins but a full blown amazing hot breakfast with your own personal french press for coffee. The wine and cheese tastings at night in the beautiful "wine cellar" were so nice to come end the day with. And lets not forget the homemade desserts!! The experience was so special and so perfect. I HIGHLY recommend this Inn. We can't wait to go back, and if we do, forget the chains, this place is really an experience not just a place to sleep.

We stayed 4 days at the Napa Old World Inn. The location is fantastic. Walking to all of downtown Napa. The room s are clean, quiet and very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Included breakfasts and wine and cheese happy hour were excellent. The staff helped with discount wine tasting coupons. It was one of the better stays I have had in years. I highly recommend this Inn

Wonderful inn! The innkeepers were very friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The inn has many small special touches, like french press coffee, afternoon cookies, and soothing music playing in the lobby. Additionally they feature a daily wine tasting from the area. The food was excellent- both the breakfast and evening desserts. The inn was well kept, very clean, and smelled fresh. No complaints; an excellent place to stay!

It was our first trip to Napa and wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast. We were extremely happy with our choice at Old World Inn. The owners are friendly and helpful when you need a recommendation for dinner or tastings. Our room exceeded our expectations and we loved every minute of our stay. The B&B was extremely relaxing - it was an experience absolutely perfect for our Napa Valley vacation. We were sad to leave and wish we had booked another night there. Just another reason to return to Napa Valley! We definitely plan to return to Old World Inn.

We were met by Tom after entering the front door and the establishment was everything we thought it would be. Often purchasing things on the internet you find thing are not as they appeared, not here. The room was perfect, the food in the morning was top notch, and the service superior. There isn't one thing we woudl have changed. We WILL BE BACK!!!

My husband and I stayed at this Inn on our recent trip to Napa. The room that we stayed in had everything that we needed, we slept very comfortably, they have the best beds. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding, and very delicious. The owners of the Inn are very hospitable and helpful. We would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Napa, and we would stay there again if an opportunity to Napa arises again. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

This charming quaint old home was just what the doctor ordered! A shot of romance and relaxation to our ailing relationship...a bouquet of flowers to greet us in the room, breakfast in bed while watching a big screen and well...the jacuzzi tub! The Alegria room was very much that. The evening wine tastings were great as well...followed by a nice stroll into downtown Napa for dinner all made for a wonderful experience!

Russ and Sharon have a passion for what they do and it shows. The inn is kept in spectacular shape, Our room was cozy with large bathroom. The little details made a huge difference, from the fresh cookies to the detailed map of restaraunts and tasting rooms all within walking distance. The map was must have for first timers like ourselves looking for places to eat. Its a a great location in a neighborhood, with a safeway across the street in case you did forget any toiletries you need. We really enjoyed the wonderful breakfast, snacks (cookies and chocolate) and wine tastings. We were introduced to some wineries during the private tastings offered daily that were spectacular. Anyone looking for their first time B&B experience should check this place out.

My wife and I had only 1 night to stay in Napa, but we were so pleased with our experience at Old World Inn. The proprietor is himself a wine expert and shared his knowledge of local wineries, plus got us a pass for a free tasting at a lovely local, family owned place. The service, room, and meals showed a fanatical eye for detail, down to the handmade soap (my wife loved that) and the angle of the flat screen TV for "prone" viewing. The room was in the main inn and somewhat small, but it was thoughtfully designed and all the furniture and fixtures were top-notch - excellent king size bed. The in-room fireplace and jet tub provide a nice touch for romantic weekends. Worth the price, and you can't beat the location. Parking is free and convenient, right behind the hotel, and we walked into town for a wonderful dinner (again, the hosts made us reservations as soon as we walked in the door). Must better experience than our hotel in SF.

We loved our stay at Old World Inn. The breakfasts were really something very special! Seems like they fed us all day long- homebaked cookies at 3:00, wine tasting at 5:30, and chocolates at 7:00. We were able to walk to all the best restuarants. Perfect for a "girls" weekend. Will definitely come back!

Wish I could keep this my little secret but Old World Inn was the best B&B we've ever stayed in. The room was gorgeous -- the bathroom -- HUGE! The food was wonderful. We had to check out early but still got personalized food service, a meal prepared in advance for us to keep in the fridge and grab on our way out. Don't miss the evening wine tasting and dessert bar. It's a nice way to cap off a long day in Napa. We will definitely be returning.

We recently stayed in the Bella Tuscany room at the Old World inn in Napa. The location was perfect for walking into the town for dinner and entertainment as well as within driving distance to some of the greatest wineries in the world. The people at the inn wer extremely friendly and helpful in leading us to some great places to visit. The friendly environment was great for meeting and enjoying the other guests. Our room though small was extremely comfortable and was an experience in itself with the jucuzi tub and large screen TV/DVD. We felt kind of like we were in Italy. We fully recommend this BB to our friends and plan to visit again next time we are in Napa.

We stayed at Old World Inn over Labor Day weekend and loved everything about our stay. The service we received during our stay was great. The room we stayed in was very charming and just as the website had described, so we knew it was going to be a little small, but we loved it!!!! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice with a jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was fabulous as well as the evening desserts. We were highly impressed each day of our stay. We will definetely stay here every time we return to Napa. I will recommend Old World Inn to everyone.

We recently visited the Old World Inn in Napa, California for my Husband's 43rd Birthday. We were both quite impressed from the moment we walked in the door! It is a beautiful inn throughout and our room was extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished. The hospitality of the staff was superb and the food was wonderful! The only drawback was leaving and as we drove away we were already talking about going back; it won't be soon enough! It is joy that lives in this place and you feel it from the moment you walk in. I highly reccommend that you go and see for yourself what is so special about the Old World Inn in Napa!

Stayed Fri-Mon in the end of July 2011. Rooms were just as expected, we shared Suite 1 with another couple and had the Jack-n-Jill bathroom to share. Only hard part about that was trying to get ready in the bedroom with no mirror to use. Breakfasts were good;pretty similar each day with an egg/cheese casserole-type dish, fruit, and a bread. Fresh coffee with coffee presses also available. Parking was a little tough in the back, ended up parking on the street. Everyone was nice, rooms were clean, many DVDs to choose from, and a nice patio with fire pit available to hang out around. Would absolutely recommend.

We rely on reviews when making a decision on where to spend our money. Every B&B my sister and I have stayed in on this four week trip has been great, even spectacular. This will be my first negative review for a B&B, and that includes all previous trips with my husband. To summarize: The best part of this stay was the location (1301 Jefferson in Napa). It is close to downtown Napa, within walking distance. The price we paid ($199.00 before taxes for both rooms) was fair for the room we received. We had two very small bedrooms with king size beds (just enough room to walk around the bed) and a small shared bathroom with only a shower. There is a HUGE flat screen television in each bedroom mounted on the wall. No internet in our rooms. We did try to connect to the internet in the dining room of the main house. Another couple staying upstairs at the main house were having the same problems. We ended up being unsuccessful. The main house was tired, dusty and dirty. Our "cottage" rooms were clean but the bathroom was unclean (hair in the shower). The wine tasting in the evening -- it just would be better to not offer a wine tasting -- when you offer a wine tasting in Napa, you need to be better than this. The "home-baked-cookies" and the chocolate treats offered with the wine were poor quality (or stale). The breakfast was good. The young man checking us in was courteous and helpful. For us, the B&B is part of the experience and adds so much to the overall enjoyment of an area. After a wonderful day of exploration, having a beautiful "home" seals the trip. Though my husband and I have been to Napa / Sonoma several times, my sister and I decided to try somewhere new. Because we wanted this particular trip to be fluid, it was our custom to research our next day's stay online and then make reservations. If available, we chose B&B's over hotels. This trip's B&B stays were more frequent given that many now embrace single night stays. This inn has such potential, even great ideas but very poor execution. If the owners are interested, here are the things we saw: Clean, polish, clean. Especially an old house. With all that beautiful wood, if it is dusty, then the entire place looks dirty. Make sure your front and back doors are clean and well-maintained (first impressions). Clean the staircase. Vacuum the carpets. Clean the windows. Your guests are looking out the windows -- especially the window right above the office nook. Paint. There were so many areas outside that needed cleaning and touch-ups. Clean the front porch. Fix and paint the front steps (and the back steps also). Fix the front gate (first impressions). Groom the outside. Don't do a wine tasting -- a wine-tasting done poorly in Napa is glaring. Don't offer cookies or treats done poorly or stale. Make sure the person cleaning the rooms is wearing a hair net (it could be the hair in our shower was from the person cleaning and not the previous tenant). I do wish you well. Your inn does have great potential especially given its location.

On a positive note, the reception was friendly and informative; there are scheduled wine tastings (in the other property -- which might be the better option and the one that people rave about;) the location cannot be beat -- it is walking distance to downtown Napa's many restaurants and summer events-- so after a long day driving around the Wine Country it is a treat to be able to walk about and enjoy the evening; and, the concierges (reception managers) gave many suggestions and let us know what was going on in Napa on that day. But...the room was small and crowded (the room does not justice to it's picture) -- too many pieces of furniture that were not user-friendly and, the bathroom was totally unacceptable! It was old and run-down, the sink was half-falling off and it has so many black scratches it looked filthy, very poor lighting in a windowless bathroom, and the club-footed bathtub is also "very tired" so it is not inviting nor practical. In addition, there are no choices offered for breakfast such as fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal...same dishes are served to all guests -- one day's menu...orange juice, berry compote, a cheesy-bread "dense" souffle and a berry scone with coffee.

Our stay was a special occasion...my son's 40th...I wanted everything to be close to perfect... As we arrived the temperatures outside were in the 50s and 60s. the parlor felt like a refrigerator. There was no place to warm up except the bathtub..Outside was cold and breezy, and the rooms were air conditioned 24 hrs.I was told to turn on a small fireplace in the room,.Even after closing all vents, we froze The small heater began to emit "plastic burning" smell which got worse everyday...I alerted Innkeeper Her reply was, " she would get her husband to look at it tomorrow"... For 4 nights and 4 breakfasts, we froze At over $250/ night, I find this ridiculous...It was cold outside, but no attempt was made to turn down the A/C or find us a heater that did not smell of plastic...I find the responses of the Inn keepers... that they could do nothing about turning down the A/C, and the coolness in the rooms ridiculous and irresponsible...All of the guests we talked to were using A/C and heat at the same time... I had to wear 3 layers and socks to bed each night...I also noted that in my room, none of the three shades over the bay windows could open, so I had to roll them and prop them in order to have some outdoor light; The TV screen was left in a hanging position as they said it had broken the day before...no attempt was made to fix it; And there was a lot of mildew on the window sills in the bathroom... I am angry that I had to spend 4 nights and any time spent in the parlor/ dining area, freezing cold, and uncomfortable; In addition I feel that the one hour slot for breakfast to be served, is very short.. I was disappointed ...not so much in the state of disrepair of this older house, but in the lack of responsible solutions to my discomfort at the cold, and the lack of attempt to repair the broken items in the room.....
We knew this was an important occasion & really tried to make it special. We're so sorry that didn't happen. We feel terrible about this and want to personally apologize and thank this guest for her feedback. Sadly, we could not make the needed fireplace repairs while she was in the Allegria room. We offered to move her to another lovely room ("Starry Night"), but she did not want to repack or have us move her luggage. We did repair/replace both fireplace & window treatments as soon as she checked out. We're sorry the roll down TV screen got stuck "down" (it still works, beautifully, and will be replaced by a 50" flatscreen soon). We are so sorry things were too cold for her. We repeatedly adjusted both room and house air conditioning each day, until we started getting complaints from other guests that it was too hot. She still felt it was too cold. Since she did not allow us to move her luggage, we eventually gave her keys to TWO ROOMS, so she could sleep in Starry Night & keep her clothes in Allegria! We spoke daily with this guest during her stay & she continually told us how wonderful everything was & how much she loved staying here. Her only complaint was the cold, which we really worked on, every day, while trying to keep our other guests happy and not too hot. We honestly had no idea she was this unhappy/dissatisfied, based on all of the accolades & compliments she gave us during her stay. We will continue to work--diligently-- with all of our guests to make their stay here special and memorable. We want you to love your stay with us! Sincerely, Russ, Sharon and all of the Innkeepers at the Napa Old World Inn PS We are clean freaks, and disinfect all bathroom surfaces daily. We looked everywhere, and could find no signs of mildew in her room, anywhere. Historic houses have their share of idiosyncrasies (like 100 year old windows), and we work our tushies off to maintain and keep up with things.

My wife and I stayed at Napa Old World Inn for 4 nights for our honeymoon in April, 2010. We had the most amazing time! We stayed in the Biblioteca room, which was cozy, quiet, comfortable, and clean. My wife loved the claw-foot tub, I loved the projection screen TV for watching movies. The food was phenomenal every day, and the individual French press coffee pots they provide all day were great for an afternoon reading on the porch. Location is perfect- easy walk to Napa's restaurants, and the staff were super-helpful. Such an amazing experience, we can't wait to go back someday for an anniversary!

After reading the favorable reviews, I had high expectations. On the day of arrival, the man that checked us in, spoke so quickly that both my husband and I missed most of what he said regarding mealtimes, etc. There was never anyone at the front desk to actually speak with or offer suggestions on dining , tours or wineries. The room appeared smaller than in the pics. No towel racks in bathroom so floor was soaked everytime. Using a hairdryer blew the fuse a few days. After being out of soap for 2 days, had to leave a written request for another one. Thankfully I brought my own. Sheets had a damp/dirty odor. We stayed on the 1st floor in the suites in the building next to the main house. It sounded like the person upstairs was coming thru the ceiling. On a positive note, it was pretty clean. The breakfast was delicious. The afternoon wine & cheese was nice. However, they never actually served cheese and when the bottle or 2 of wine was gone, that was it. The location was 5 min from downtown napa. We stayed for 6 days and the owner didn't even recognize us as guests. Didn't get a warm, welcoming feeling. It's not a bad place to stay for the price. Most places are higher. Next time, I'll try a different B&B. If staying there, try for the main house (not the suites).

The staff was wonderful, but our stay was terrible. We were not told that it was all vegetarian breakfast. The gentleman I spoke with was not accommodating regarding my diabetic diet, only offered oatmeal which is also off limits. There is no soundproofing between the rooms or from the street noise. There are no gardens and no buffer from the street.
Wow, we've asked bedandbreakfast.com to forward a note to this guest, as this has never happened before. Many guests that stay with us have special dietary needs, and we try like crazy to accommodate them. We often ask what will work, and what won't. Our special "Napa Scramble" is a top choice for diabetic guests (farm fresh eggs or egg whites lightly scrambled with a special selection of Napa herbs). And many of our breakfast entrees are already diabetic friendly-- perhaps this was on a day we served caramel French Toast? The noise also concerns us, as this doesn't come up, either. We've asked the folks at bedandbreakfast.com to pass on a personal note of apology from us, and to ask the guest which room they were in. We're hoping we can figure out the source of the noise, and correct it. We're awfully sorry these folks didn't talk to us when they were here--we love taking care of people, and making sure they're having a good time. We want everyone who comes to the Napa Valley to have a wonderful, memorable experience. It sounds like this didn't happen for these folks, and we deeply regret this. Stay tuned, though-- we will find out why our other breakfast options didn't work, and we'll get to the bottom of the noise. Promise! -The Innkeepers Napa Old World Inn

The Oldworld Inn is a lovely place to stay for a weekend or longer and explore the wine region of Napa and around. Our room was great, 4-poster bed, breakfast corner, big flatscreen tv, fireplace and a huge bathroom with a big shower, 2 basins and a spa-bath. We were travelling with a baby and they provided a cot/crib for us and they brought us breakfast to our room every morning. I suspect that if you stay in the main building then you have breakfast together in a room. There were cookies in the afternoons, wine-tasting sessions early eve and some taster choc desserts - all for free for the guests. The staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definately stay there again if we ever came back to visit that region again. Very highly recommended!

The inn provided an excellent country style luxury for our mid-week getaway from the cold foggy San Francisco. We were surprised by the personalized service we received. The greeting card on the bed with our names is just one of the examples. The room is not big, but very cozy. I have to stress the jacuzzi tub and the bed. After the jacuzzi, we lied on the bed and wow, it was so comfortable that we didn't even bother watching the DVD already in the player and dropped into deep sleep within 3 minutes. It was the best sleep we had, ever. The breakfast is very delicious and yet healthy. All day tea and coffee and after dinner dessert just made the already amazing stay even more outstanding.
2.8 on July 07, 2010
Room: Although the bed was very comfortable, the house, grounds and rooms are in desperate need of maintenance and an extra-effort cleaning. You can decorate all you want, but that does not make up for broken/missing tile, wood that is aged and severely worn, dirt in corners/cracks, etc. In addition, there is no cable service. They only provide broadcast channels. The breakfast was excellent and above expectations. The location is close to downtown, which made it easy to walk to restaurants. However, it is on a busy/wide street and next to an office building with a parking lot. All said, I would not stay at this location again.
Wow, this review comes as quite a shock. We note that this is a "first time" B&B experience for the reviewer, and that they normally stay at premium lodging (ie 5 star) hotels or resorts. So perhaps being in a 100+ year old home with all its original woodwork and tile was off-putting? We're also puzzled by the comments of the house being dirty. We're clean freaks (check all of our other reviews), and have a reputation for being much more clean/tidy than even five star hotels. So again, this puzzles us. We're in the midst of trying to find out more specifics-- where this reviewer saw problems. Why? Because we want to fix 'em! We're obsessed with having a comfy, homey spot for folks to stay in the Napa Valley. We want it to feel as though you're staying at a friend's home. So please stay tuned-- we'll post an update to this, outlining all of the concerns identified in the reviewer's post. Lastly, we'd like to thank the reviewer for being so candid and open-- we strive to make our home welcoming and a wonderful place to stay. And when that experience falls short-- we want to know about it. Warm Regards from Sunny Napa, -The Innkeepers Napa Old World Inn

We found the Old World Inn by perusing online...the website was easy to navigate and gave an accurate picture of the rooms. We called for a 3 night booking just 2 days in advance and were accommodated with a beautiful room, the Bella Tuscany. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the home, hospitality and welcome we received. Coming from Australia, and the first time at a B&B, my boyfriend and I were very impressed and will absolutely stay again on our next trip through the Napa Valley. Highlights were the comfy featherbed, the spa tub inside our room, delicious breakfasts, wine and nibbles every evening, among a very comfortable home. Staff were friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants (with menus available to view), wineries, massages, etc. Our three days here in this 1906 home created a wonderful memory for us to cherish...we highly recommend you stay at the Old World Inn!

When we booked our room, it was done in a fast, efficient and pleasant manner. By the time we arrived all we had to do was be shown the house by a gracious host, Joy, who put us at ease. Our room was way beyond our expectations, especially considering we were here for relaxation. Our bed and furnishings were very clean and plush. The projection screen excited my husband and I (we are great movie lovers!) The toiletries were beyond exceptional and the courtesy black washcloth for makeup was very thoughtful. We will be back most definitely and will recommend to friends and family.

Upon arrival we were greeted and given a tour of the Inn. Once we got up to our room (Allegria) we were very delighted by the room's decor and warmth that it offered. The bed was so comfortable that we fell fast asleep within minutes of laying down. In the morning the breakfast was set up in the dining room and served with a wonderful presentation. The other guests that came down for breakfast were wonderful too. The atmosphere was truly wonderful like a bunch of friends gathering for a meal. This was my 1st B&B and I truly enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for giving us a peaceful, romantic encounter.

This is our first stay at a bed & breakfast and this place has exceeded our expectations. We usually stay at hotels but thought that this would be a nice change. The service is excellent and we were made welcome by the extremely nice & knowledgable staff (Vic & Christine). Vic was able to recommend an excellent restaurant for dinner, Celadon, which was really good. The chocolates when we arrived back from dinner was amazing and we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of our night in the cottage in the back. The whole experience was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again. I will also recommend this place to all my friends. It's a definite must stay place!

We came to Old World Inn by way of Oprah. Well, not exactly, but our friend told us it was recommended by her. We felt reassured and upon arrival we were excited by the exquisite service and offerings. Our hosts reached out to us on a daily basis to make sure our needs were met. From wine tastings to dinner reservations and suggestions. Our room was the Secret Garden, which offers a vast side room with a two person jacuzzi. After spending our days visiting Napa, Calistoga and surrounding areas it was so great to come back to Old World Inn for wine and cheese every night. The combination of a delectable breakfast, whether served in our room or in the dinning room, the service which created a great experience, or opportunities to relax after a tiring day makes Old World Inn my #1 choice in Napa.

I found the Old World Inn through the marvels of Google. There were many B&Bs in Napa to choose from, but something about this one stood out. Maybe it was the fresh baked cookies upon check in or the wine and cheese reception, whatever it was that got me here, I'm sure glad it did. I booked a room online, but when we arrived we were given the option to keep our original room at the sister property across the street or stay in the original inn. We chose the Allegria room in the original inn. We had the best nights sleep we'd had all vacation. The comfy king size bed was so luxurious with plenty of pillows that we faded quickly to sleep. The projection tv was a great way to relax whether you're watching from the bed or the Jacuzzi tub. The bathroom was a bit cramped but all the other amenities and impeccable service well made up for any minor complaint I would have. The breakfast and chocolates were incredible and I've already recommended my sister stay here and experience the Old World Inn for herself.

We came up for an anniversary date, with cheese and bread and plans to taste wine. Having found some excellent wines in the tasting rooms in town, we retired to our room intending to dress for dinner, but instead picniced in our lovely room, and drank wine in the jacuzzi tub. It was perfect, sitting under the stars. Waking up to clouds scudding by above our bed was a real bonus too. In a way, staying in Starry Night was a wonderful combination of being outdoors but with all the comfort you could wish for.

I had planned the weekend to surprise my girlfriend for her birthday. She loved the entire experience. It was even better when our innkeeper helped to book the massages and played along in delivering her presents too. Great service for unbeatable price.

With my parents watching our two kids and a business trip in the area, my wife and I decided to take a weekend getaway to Napa Valley. After choosing the Old World Inn based on high recommendations on the website-we were pleased upon arriving. Immediately, the friendly courteous innkeepers helped us feel right at home. The B&B itself is in extraordinary shape-beautifully appointed, and very clean! The evening sweets and wine and cheese hour made our stay a social experience, as well. The breakfasts are gourmet-more cuisine than just food. All in all our weekend getaway was better than we'd ever imagined-thanks to the Old World Inn!

This was our first stay in a B&B and could not have been happier. The service was wonderful and the Inn was comfortable and cozy! We stayed in one of the smaller rooms but there was absolutely nothing lacking! The bed was cozy, fireplace was beautiful and the bathroom was filled with everything possible! Coming back from a few hours of wine tasting, a great cheese and wine spread was great and the outside area was a perfect place to relax. The Inn smelled liked freshly baked cookies and scones ALL DAY! The location is a plus-we did not get in our car from the time we got back from tasting to when we left the next morning. We were only here for 1 night but will no doubt be back for a longer stay in the future! And will definitely recommend the Inn to family & friends!

If you would like to go to a place that is quaint and so pretty with excellent service this is your place to be! You will have delicious breakfast and have cheese & crackers as a snack and wonderful dessert chocolates all made at the inn by the chefs on staff. You will thoroughly enjoy your time with your friends or loved ones and have a wonderful time here!

I don't drink wine (or any alcoholic beverages), but I always enjoy the Napa Valley for the beautiful weather, great golf courses, fabulous restaurants and unique shops. Believe it or not, I also enjoy visiting wineries and just being a wandering tourist. This was my second stay in a B&B and it was, again, a memorable experience at the Old World Inn. The Chocolat room was terrific, including the home theater set up, the food was excellent and the other guests were warm, friendly and entertaining. The hostess was also very friendly and helped make our stay a lasting memory in the Napa Valley.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming B&B in Napa. The B&B was close to great nearby restaurants and provided wonderful breakfasts. We were extremely pleased with our experience here and would highly recommend it to others looking for a B&B in Napa.

What a delightful place to spend a weekend! My parents booked two nights here for a birthday present, and what a great present it was! From the first moment we stepped into the Old World Inn, we felt extremely welcome and right at home. Janie & Ryan were fantastic hosts and they gave us terrific recommendations for wineries and restaurants. This is definitely a new favorite, and my husband & I can't wait to come back!

My wife and I decided to come here for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were told about the new cottages when we called to make our reservations. Since they were new they didn't have any pictures on their website. The moment we opened the door to our room we were blown away! The bed had a white sheer canopy which gave it a nice elegance complemented with the fireplace right across from it. We felt like we could've stayed in our room the entire time and felt secluded from the rest of the world. Our favorite part was the in room massages and breakfast in bed. It was the perfect way to relax and to kick start our stay here. The jacuzzi tub was awesome and a nice extra to have. This place was a great find! My wife lived down the street from the Old world inn for two years and never knew it was here. We definitely will be coming back and recommending this place to our family and friends.

We found the Old World Inn online-doing a random search and then searched for it on trip advisor and saw that it got amazing reviews, so we thought we'd check it out. We couldn't have been more impressed when we arrived. Our room was BEAUTIFUL and the bathroom was HUGE! We also loved the classical music and the big TV with DVD player. The breakfasts have been awesome, and we loved the fact that tea/cereal/milk/yummy cookies were always available! The desserts left out at night were amazing also. We thought this Inn was a GREAT value for our money!! We felt well rested, relaxed and happy at the end of our stay. Thank you so much for a great Napa experience!!

This B&B was terrific. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the room had fantastic amenities. The little things like the clean soft bath robes and pull down projector screen entertainment made the room a pleasure to kick back and relax in. Refreshements were always provided downstairs in the dining room, and the breakfast was gourmet and exquisite! We loved everything about this B&B and would recommend it to all our family and friends, and look forward to coming back here next time we're in Napa. Five stars for cleanliness, coziness and hospitality!

We searched online for a Napa B&B to spend the night in after 4 nights of tent camping. Our search turned up many B&B's that looked old-fashioned, with photos of bedrooms reminiscent of a grandmother's guest room (dolls? lace?) - not our idea of romantic. We were so pleased to find the Old World Inn. It had an updated B&B feel with tasteful decor, not overdone but high quality and modern. The bed was divine with crisp sheets and fluffy comforters and pillows. The bathroom had luxurious products and plush towels that were so appreciated after our days in the wilderness. The staff is friendly but not 'in your face.' And the brownies placed out at night - to die for!

From the moment we walked in, we were treated with warmth and kindness. Our host, Vic, made us feel comfortable and welcome throughout our entire stay. The room was extremely pleasant to stay in and the beds make you want to stay in all day. It was great coming back to an outdoor fireplace and delicious home-made desserts in the common area. The amenities only added to our already pleasant stay. We can't wait to come back!

Stumbling across the Old World Inn online was serendipidous! From the moment we walked through the Old World Inn doors, the sights, smells and personal touches of our stay were beyond reproach. We definitely overindulged, but in a good way. It was a fabulous way to celebrate our anniversary too. A Night In Paris was the breath of fresh air that we both needed. Thank you for making our stay so fabulous.

Help! I'm being held against my will. I thought we were going to dinner in Houston, but somehow ended up with a bunch of wannabe wine snobs in California. Sometimes birthdays can be hell. This one turned out pretty good though. Sorry I have no idea how the B&B was found, much less how we got here. Walter, age 50 and a day (ugh!) (actually the Old World Inn was GREAT, the private tastings were GREAT, the breakfast was GREAT, and this birthday was the best ever).

A good B&B is distinguished by many factors. All of which must work in constant collaboration with the rest. Friendly hospitable hosts; clean and presentable facilities; austere of location; outgoing and social guests; savory breakfasts; and all the other little things that set one B&B apart form all the rest. The Old World Inn has all of these and then some. Everything you want and expect to receive at a B&B is fulfilled here. Joy and Vic are hosts that go above and beyond themselves each and every day. Their knowledge and hospitality are second to none. If you are looking foe a stay in Napa, don't look past the Old World Inn. You will not find a more comfortable bed or more decadent evening desserts.

We had never stayed at a B&B before and I was really picky about what I wanted. So I did a search for a B&B in Napa and after looking at several I found Old Word Inn. They had the king size bed fireplace and jacuzzi all in one room. Most places only offer queen and a lot only had standard tubs and no fireplace. Also I loved the look and ambience of Old World Inn the best. The staff was very helpful and friendly upon booking the room and providing information on local places. I was so impressed when we arrived! The house was gorgeous and our room (Starry Night) took my breath away! Joy was very friendly and informative and showed us everything we might need or want to use. I was extremely impressed with all the "extras" that weren't mentioned on the website (such as French press coffee, DVD library, community fridge). It made everything that much more special! Our room was amazing, the bed was very relaxing. We had our own private outdoor jacuzzi tub, which was very romantic. The house was quiet and it felt like we were the only two people there. And breakfast in the morning was a meal you would expect at a gourmet restaurant! I came looking for a romantic anniversary get away and I got all I dreamed of and more. My only regret is that we stayed only one night! So just think if we're this impressed after 1 evening how happy you'll be with your stay! I hope to make this "our place" to visit year after year!

We loved this wonderful Bed & Breakfast!! We found and booked our stay at the Old World Inn online. We were a little nervous about our selection because we really had no referral or prior knowledge of this establishment. Boy, were we impressed! This cozy Bed & Breakfast is exactly what we were looking for and more. The staff really exceeded our expectations. The great folks that run this fine establishment seem to sincerely love what they do. They have a vast knowledge of the area, wine and how to treat their guests. You get a sense of a real passion for life (and wine) from the moment you enter the house. Their enthusiasm was contagious. Each night at 5:30pm a different local Napa winery representative was at the main house to conduct a wine tasting. This was really special. Not only did we get to taste the wine (and, cheese and olives etc) but we learned so much about the wines and winery. There was an entire hour dedicated to the guests of Old World Inn in their cozy parlor. It was a very intimate setting that allowed the guests to ask questions and feel very comfortable doing so. This was certainly a very unexpected and nice touch. My bride and I really cannot say enough nice things about the Old World Inn. We live on the east coast and can't wait to go back and stay again. We have already recommended this wonderful Bed & Breakfast to some friends and family members. If you are looking for a charming setting to spend a few days in one of the most beautiful spots in the country, do yourself (and loved one) a favor and stay at the Old World Inn.

We found the Old World inn ironically through a travel agent friend. Though the website gives great detail and pictures of the amenities there was one thing that was noticeably absent and would never be adequately represented through a computer screen. The warmth. It's like visiting a friend's house when you walk through the door. The staff welcomes with a smile, there is cold delicious fruit infused water waiting on the table, and of course the infamous cookies temptingly await. Even the guests are friendly and happy to be here - willingly offering suggestions and great places to eat. A little atmosphere, a warm welcome, and a great nights sleep create an incredible, memorable experience and a guaranteed return visit.

Coming to the Napa Old World Inn was a perfect weekend. After a lot of research my husband picked this lovely inn as a surprise for my birthday. Everything was enjoyable & relaxing from the moment we entered. Our room was comfortable and inviting and I loved the claw foot tub. The staff was incredible, helping us settle in and letting us know where everything was. They provide incredible French Press coffee and amazing desserts every night. The Old World Inn was very helpful when picking wineries and restaurants. This trip made us see the wine country in a whole new light. We have been here before, but this was truly our 1st real experience.

Five Stars for Starry Night at Old World Inn! For our first trip staying in Napa, we picked the best place to stay! The hosts gave us such wonderful recommendations for the perfect wineries, we enjoyed sitting outside at a picnic table getting all the personal attention from the representative of the winery. We enjoyed all the wonderful treats at the inn-from the chocolate covered cherries and strawberries to the fantastic breakfasts. The room was so comfortable-the bed was so nice and we looked up through the skylights and watched the twinkling stars. It was magic! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Searching for a bed & breakfast was difficult, but once I made my selection at Old World Inn, everything became perfect! The staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Our room (Allegria) was so cute & comfortable. Their chocolate chip cookies & brownies were to die for. The breakfast was delicious and the location was in the middle from all our activities. I couldn't have picked a better B&B. I will definitely be recommending everyone I know to Old World Inn because in my opinion, Old World Inn is the best!!! Can't wait to book my next stay...my boyfriend loved his Valentine's gift! (His gift was two nights at Old World Inn).

I originally gave a weekend at the Old World Inn as a present to my son and his wife. They loved their stay there, so when I next visited Napa, I booked a room there as well. We very much enjoyed our stay-the room was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the food excellent. The innkeeper (Janie) gave us some excellent recommendations on places to eat as well as some of the lesser known wineries. I would plan on staying here for future trips and would highly recommend the Inn to others.

For three years my fiancée has had her eye on the Old World Inn. this year for her birthday I surprised her with a trip to Napa, and the OWI exceeded all expectations. The staff was warm and inviting and the Artist's cottage was comfortable and hard to leave. The spa tub was perfect for hot bath after our one hour couples' massage. During our evening we enjoyed a choice selection of wines and some of the most delicious desserts we've ever had. We had a hard time wanting to even leave our room! We plan on coming back for another romantic weekend here at OWI, only next time for longer!! Thank you for a wonderful birthday weekend my fiancée will never forget. We look forward to returning soon.

We enjoyed our stay at the Old World Inn. We came to Napa for our 10 year wedding anniversary and looked online for somewhere to stay. We found the Old World Inn and booked it easily online. We stayed in Walden Cottage, which was great. It gave us the benefits of a bed and breakfast but a lot a privacy. It was comfortable. The room has a comfortable king bed and a relaxing jacuzzi tub. The breakfasts were amazing and not something you would make at home. The staff was kind and helped us with recommendations and dinner reservations. Overall a wonderful place to stay!

We found Old World Inn on the internet, and we were pleased that it's one of the best places to kiss in California. It was very easy to book online. The innkeepers even emailed us a list of wineries and restaurants they recommend. Once we chose what we liked, they even took care of our reservations when we arrived. We were extremely impressed by the friendly staff. The house is cozy and inviting, and there are many different rooms to choose from. Our room, Bella Tuscany, has a comfortable king sized bed, a relaxing jacuzzi tub and a huge projector to watch romantic movies. The breakfast is delicious! Wine and cheese hour is a great appetizer before dinner. The chocolate desserts are available all evening. This is our second time here at Old World Inn and we will definitely be back!

Wow! What a friendly place. We really felt at home. We enjoyed getting to know the innkeepers as well as the other guests. The wine and cheese hour was an excellent time to share our daily adventures with others and receive information from them as to what they had enjoyed during their day. We could walk anywhere we needed to. After a fun day of wine tasting and sight-seeing, we would walk to one of Napa's many great restaurants and enjoy great food. Upon returning to the inn we would be greeted with a choice of 3 chocolate desserts to send us on our way to sweet dreams.

We both live busy stressful lives. We hoped our stay here would allow us to relax. After a week in Painter 2 I cannot remember was stress is. Not having to plan breakfast or do dishes makes mornings truly easy (especially when you start each day with a soak in the porcelain tub). The canopy bed and fire place drew us in for hours each day. To ice the cake, we got engaged by the fire. Painter 2 will always hold a special place in our hearts. It will always be "our place"; we know we will return to the magic of the Old World Inn in years to come to destress and share more of life's milestones.

We found Old World Inn through B&B.com. We went directly to the inns website and booked a room - it was a great deal compared to inns in the area and the reviews were great. Plus, where else would we get a movie screen in the room? We arrived midday and despite not being able to go to the room, we were given some great recommendations for wineries to visit. When we came back to the inn we spent some time with other visitors at the wine and cheese tasting from Jessup Cellars. What a treat!! We then went to dinner... when we got back we watched a movie on the big screen! In the morning we had a great breakfast with fresh squeezed oj, egg soufflé, and scones...Yummy! Overall a wonderful place to stay!

We recently stayed at Old World Inn, and it was our first B&B experience. We were there for our honeymoon. What a great time we had! The staff (Ryan, Joy, et al) were very helpful, and the food was great. The rooms were also fantastic. We stayed for two nights in Secret Garden, then two more in Bella Tuscany (we both tended to prefer Secret Garden, because it had a very comfortable bed, was a bit more spacious, had a fabulous LCD tv and fireplace, and the spa room was awesome; Tuscany had a few more quirks, but was still nice). The Inn is located in a great location in Napa, and the offseason rate made this a real bargain. We would definitely like to return someday!

My mate and I stayed 2 nights at the Old World Inn for his birthday. We will never stay in a hotel again. Old World Inn was the first bed & breakfast we have stayed at, and it raised the bar towards excellence. We live only a half hour from the inn, but felt like we were miles away in paradise. We experienced joy from the moment we walked in up to the moment we left/ There were many things to stimulate our senses; wonderful fragrances in the soaps and toiletries that were offered, special tastes in the foods and wines that were presented, nice touch from the soft sheets and towels, beautiful sites from the projection TV, to the beautiful colors in the room, and friendly smiles and laughter from the staff. It was a very relaxing and romantic experience. This is definitely a 5 star inn!

Our evening began with a wine tasting in the living room of the Inn. We enjoyed wine, cheese and good conversation. Then off we went for dinner at Celedon, arranged for us by the innkeeper. Upon our return we discovered an inviting fire burning in the pit on the patio. We slipped in the back door of the Inn, gathered a plate of delicious desserts and hot chocolate and enjoyed a romantic interlude of peace by the fire. Thank you for thinking of all the details that make a trip extraordinary!

Tempted to Return My wife Lisa and I like to get away from our day to day routines for 2 day jaunts. Fortunately we live in part of the country that offers a great variety of excellent options for these jaunts. Most are easily reachable via 1-3 hour car trips. We have been known to seek out special deals when selecting where to go. After booking a room at a place we had stayed twice previously, we received an email promo for the Old World Inn a few days later. After comparing we chose to cancel the other and go to the Old World Inn for a second stay. We choose the room they call Secret Garden. We brought along a few DVDs which we enjoyed viewing on the large, wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Another special feature was the hour or so relaxing in the jacuzzi spa tub housed in a room off the main room. All the amenities were high quality. My only wish would be to have the morning coffee offering earlier and stronger - but that's me. Both breakfast were tasty and the conversations with our fellow guests was pleasant, fun and often informative. The first couple we met turned out to live only a few blocks from us! Speaking of food, we had two excellent dinners in downtown Napa. Both within a mile from the inn. The appetizer and wine offering at the inn set up the dinners perfectly. Lisa and I are interested in trying some of the other nearby areas for our future jaunts, but I think there is a good chance we could be tempted to return for a third stay at Old World Inn. Searching the internet revealed a variety of choices...how do you choose when they all look fabulous? Something in the gauzy canopy over the bed called out to me at the Old World Inn. The affordable mid-week price enabled my sister and I to stay and enjoy my 30th birthday in Napa. With a beautiful and convenient location, we were pleasantly surprised by the inviting atmosphere and wonderful hospitality. After mini cookies and mint infused water, we threw open our door to the "Night In Paris" with it's French-style decor and clawfoot tub. How did we get so lucky to choose the best place? The little things in a B&B win you over: the birthday card they left me on the bed, fluffy robes, wine and cheese, desserts, unlimited coffee/tea, movies for your huge flat screen...the list goes on. Be careful though-if you stay here, you'll have a hard time wanting to leave to actually tour the city!

It is our honeymoon and I somehow found the best place to stay! We were looking for luxury, relaxation, quietness and a romantic place...this had it all and then some. We had never stayed at a B & B and now any other one will never compare to this! Their website does not do the place justice! It was a cozy place with a wonderful room that we never wanted to leave with a private bathroom! We were blown away by the ambiance of our room (Bella Tuscany): colors, soaking tub, cute bathroom, music, comfortable bath robes ever, huge movie projection screen and great bathroom toiletries. Wow I haven't even mentioned the beautiful Inn because we wanted to stay in our room the entire time!! I loved the all night chocolates that were too good to stop eating and my husband loved the cookies...all which never seemed to disappear. My husband even really enjoyed the infused water which he never drinks!! The place was so charming and the staff very friendly and helpful. We missed our first breakfast but the morning we stayed to eat was tasty! There is not enough room to go on and on about this place!! But I must mention that the movie selection was perfect and the bed oh so comfortable! Anytime we come to Napa we will be back here and look forward to sharing this place with friends and family!! Thank you for a very memorable honeymoon!!

A Wonderful Vacation This was our second visit to Old World Inn. We were fortunate enough to stay in Tuscany last year and Paris this year. It was such a wonderful stay because of the fantastic owners and staff. The staff welcomed us with open arms and made us feel as if we were home. From the recommendations of where to eat and the wineries to visit, everything was perfect. We love being in Napa, but we love being at the Old World Inn even more. Thanks to everyone that made our vacation so special.

I researched so many in the area, but was most impressed with your beautiful rooms that included jacuzzi tubs, home theater systems and a spread of delicious food from breakfast to midnight. There was so much to plan. but your staff made all of my arrangements for us for a spa visit, winery appointment, and dinner reservations - I didn't have to worry about planning at all! Our room was beautiful (Starry Night) - to wake up to see birds flying over the trees was quite romantic - not to mention the private out door jacuzzi! We slept so well on your large feather beds and enjoyed sneaking out for desserts to bring back to bed and a movie after a long day of wine tasting. We really haven't ever stayed anywhere as perfect as the Old World Inn and can't wait to come back again!

My fiance and I decided to stay at a B&B for Christmas as our plans to drive to WA fell through because of the weather. After finding the Old World Inn on bedandbreakfast.com and reading the reviews, we were both very excited to stay at a place so highly regarded. We booked the Painter Room #1 for two nights (Christmas Eve and Day of) and feel that we got the best room in the place! The innkeepers were happy to show two other rooms-La Biblioteca and the Walden Cottage-but we feel the Painter Room #1 was the best choice for us. Our room came with everything to make our stay relaxing and comfortable: a king-size featherbed, a huge flat-screen TV (which we watched one of their available DVDs), a gas fireplace, a full kitchen, and a jetted spa bathtub which just fit the two of us. Although the Artist's Retreat was across the street, we always felt welcome to go over to the Inn at any time, especially to mingle with the other guests in the evening when the Inn had cheese, wine, and chocolates! The innkeepers are extremely welcoming and the food is out of this world. Overall, the price was great for what we got and we had a great time staying at the Old World Inn.

This is a very special place for us...The Old World Inn. We have stayed in the Walden Cottage three times. The first time we stayed here was because we finally decided to have our own time together. We usually never leave the kids but finally made the time to do it. Every time we come here, we are very impressed with the staff. Vic was very helpful when the projector didn't work. He left their Christmas Party to come help and did wonders and then we were we able to relax in the cozy bed and watch TV! The breakfast is always yummy as well as the cookies! Next December when we come again, we will come for 2 nights b/c we realize one night is not enough! The Walden Cottage is perfect for us to relax and have our own getaway at the Old World Inn.

Upon arrival, the immediate entrance was very clean, beautiful Christmas tree. A great stay for the holidays. Everything we needed was provided for us - all the wine and cheese/desserts made it even more special and gives it an extra touch. Bella Tuscany is a great retreat from the typical hotel rooms we have stayed in the past. It tears you away from everyday life and gives much comfort, relaxation, and warmth from the cute fire place in the corner. I don't have one negative thing to say - it was all above and beyond from the reviews I read online. I highly recommend the place for anyone that wants to experience a unique stay at a bed and breakfast.

We needed somewhere to escape for the weekend to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We found the Old World Inn on bedandbreakfast.com. When me and my husband saw the picture of the La Boheme, one of the amazing rooms at the inn, we knew this was the place for our special weekend. We were immediately greeted by the staff when we arrived and given a tour of the grounds. I even saw other rooms in the inn for our next trip out. Our room was exactly what we were looking for and more that I expected. I immediately melted in the goose feather pillows and soaked in the fresh linen smell of the cotton sheets. The claw foot tub was a plus and definitely needed to help me begin enjoying my very relaxing night. The wine served in the evening with the cheese and crackers gave my taste buds a treat. The staff made reservations at a local Italian Restaurant called Uva. The walk to the restaurant was delightful. We loved all the Victorian style homes and have made plans to retire here someday and watch the weekend folks walk by our home as we sip our glass or pinot grigio on our wrap around porch. The dinner was just what we were looking for. We ended our night with brownies from the dinning room and an action movie on the 80" Dolby digital projector screen. We will never forget this night and will definitely be back again to melt our worries away.

After like 6 hours of driving with traffic and wet weather, it was such a great experience to be welcome by friendly staff and to stay in a warm and charming room "Starry Night". To have our own jacuzzi to relax being like you're in another peaceful place away from traffic. The food and desserts were a great plus. A really yum treats! This romantic getaway is affordable and really a refreshing change from staying in a more expensive hotel with out the charms the B&B offers. I totally loved my stay here.

What I liked most about The Old World Inn was it's charm. The comfort of my bed was outstanding! I could have stayed in the bed forever! The sheets smelled amazing and the bed was VERY comfortable to the point where I never want to stay in a regular hotel again. The late night dessert treats were definately worth the wait when we strolled in after wine tasting. The comfort of the Inn is something that no other place I have ever stayed has provided for me. I will book there again!

I was searching the web to find a place to stay in Napa for a couple of days, when I decided to check out the B&B's. Old World Inn caught my eye with all the flags out front and the great appearance. Than as I was reading about the inn I was sold - everything that was said about the inn sounded absoloutely perfect for what we were planning. I emailed the innkeepers - Vic and Joy answqered all my questions excellently. Upon arrival Ryan helped us out with a great place to eat within walking distance. When we came back the room was ready and the first impression just blew us away. It was absolutely beautiful/so romantic/just perfect. The house was decorated for the holidays and was very warm and cozy. The nightly chocolates were to die for and the Jacuzzi totally relaxing. Words cannot describe how great this place is. It will be on our list to return to, tell our friends about and remember the most romantic stay forever.

One of the most delightful parts of our stay was the gathering around the breakfast table of travelers and the stimulating conversations that inevitably emerged. How much we learned - from the architecture of a special vineyard to home towns across America to the best restaurants in Napa. And these conversations that helped direct us for the day connected us in ways that will endure beyond our time at the inn. Jeff and I are going to get the perfect itinerary with all the best places for our trip to Wyoming and Yellowstone now that we know two locals who will share their favorites with us. We'll be sharing our favorites with others too: the Old World Inn, Ceja Vineyards, dancing at Uva Trattoria with a fabulous jazz band, and dinner at Pearl!

From the time we found the website on bedandbreakfast.com with the Oprah recommendation we felt we were in for a treat. When we called, Janie greeted us and was so friendly and excited to have us come, we felt our search for a special Inn was over. When we arrived Joy & Ryan were here and glad to see us. The Inn is lovely inside and out. Every need has been anticipated from comfy beds to midnight snacks. The breakfasts and desserts are delicious. We were lucky to attend 2 wine pourings here. We learned so much and enjoyed the hor's devours and friendly conversations. They even made sure sweet wine was served. I'm sure that was just for me. The best thing of all is the staff. Janie, Joy, Ryan & Victor really care so guests are treated in a pampered way. Staff want to make sure you are happy and offer great advice form where to eat to wineries to tour.

After a long season working very long hours often seven days a week, we were in need of a little pampering. After an internet search we decided upon the Old World Inn in Napa. Everything exceeded our expectations (we had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before). We were treated to royal service, scrumptious breakfasts and yummy treats, and comfortable, luxuroius accomodations. We left refreshed, renewed, and relaxed. Thank you Old World Inn!

We arrived Sunday afternoon 1 1/2 hours early...Needless to say Vic was able to accommodate us immediately!! Our room was the best they had to offer (Walden Cottage) and the amenities were so homey. We had coordinated our busy schedules to fit in a little birthday get away...Mid semester for me and abandonment of a busy sole-prop engineering firm for my love. From the innkeepers to our fellow guests to the fire pit, every minute helped complete our rendezvous away from all that usually absorbs our every waking moment. We left reluctantly to resume our real lives - waiting to return another day another birthday or...Just because we can get a room!! The Napa Wine Train is only a 5 minute drive and there are numerous wonderful restaurants nearby as well. We had a marvelous dinner at Angele, on the river. Want a tour of a winery or a private tasting? Vic and staff will arrange it for you and suggest wonderful places to experience, if you can leave your room that is!

This experience was as perfect as we could have hoped for. As my wife and I talked about how we wanted to celebrate our first year of marriage, we came up with a few important things - 1) Go some where that we can enjoy great food and wine; 2) Stay some where that feels like home; 3) Relax and reflect on our wonderful first year of marriage. Number one was a no brainer, where else can you go for the wonderful cuisine and tasty wines that Napa Valley offers! Number 3 was also easy as I believe we could have been anywhere in the world and enjoyed each others company and memories. But number 2 was a huge decision and the Old World Inn was a perfect choice. The hospitality, peaceful environment, and comfort of being "home" helped make our first anniversary unforgettable! Thank you, we will be back!

We come from a land of hotels and motels and the fast paced life style of the 4th largest city in the USA. We had heard so much about B&Bs from my sister but had always resisted. Finally we decided to try a B&B for a few days in front of a week's stay in Lake Tahoe. To the internet we went and a search on Napa B&Bs found the Old World Inn advertised on the home page of the site we selected. A fairly short drive (for Texans) from Sacramento and we arrived at the Inn. From the moment we entered the front door it's been all about service (great). The breakfasts have been an amazing start to our busy days of shopping and wine tasting. Always a good nights sleep, banter with other guests, wine & cheese and chocolate desserts at night, etc, etc. The only question that has arisen is why we waited so long to try our first B&B. Then again we were lucky enough to try the Old World Inn first. Now we are spoiled beyond belief.

We learned about the B&B in O Magazine. I checked it out online and picked the Night In Paris room because it loooked so enchanting in the picture. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to see that the room looked exactly as expected. The wineries that the B&B recommended were great and thanks for helping us map out our days here and making dinner suggestions. My favorite part of the day was coming home to see what chocolate were waiting for me to gobble them up, delish! I will definitely recommend all my friends to stay here and we will definitely be back for a second visit. Thanks a lot!

Inviting was our first impression as we entered the doors of the Old World Inn. The view of the beautiful hardwood floors and fine antique furniture well positioned throughout gave us a feeling of comfort. The best was the sincere smile of Joy (so appropriately named) who greeted us into the inn. We no longer felt invited; we became extended family. The inn is a magnet for like minded people who appreciate comfort, creativity and conversation. We would do this again - in a heart beat.

We intended to spend are 2nd anniversary in June here and the fires and airline flights had other plans for us; we wound up back home. We were lucky enough to get a second chance to celebrate here now in September, and we are thrilled with everything at the Inn. It is all the comforts we could imagine - and more! It has given us a wonderful 2 (1/2) year anniversary that we will never forget - and we hope to be able to come back again. You have thought of every amenity to make life as luxurious as possible at a fairly reasonable price. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (and Thank you Janie, also!)

We had the most wonderful stay at your Inn. You made our late arrival very easy. Our room "Starry Night" was small but oh so cozy and comfortable. Our bed was amazingly soft and very much like home. The desserts in the evening were so delicious especially the crunchy buckeyes. The wine presentation was very educational. I really enjoyed learning about how the different wines were made. Ryan and Joy were extremely helpful in choosing wineries and restaurants to visit. I would definitely recomment the Old World Inn to family and friends. Thanks so much for a great visit to Napa!!

While looking for a place to stay in Napa, we soon discovered that a majority of the hotels were already booked or too overpriced. We then thought to look at some of the B & B's in the area. We never stayed in a B & B together and thought it would be fun. We pulled up Google and searched B & B's in Napa. Old World Inn was the 2nd one on the seach results. We clicked on it as it said something about the best B & B in the area. After looking at the Old World Inn website, we fell in love. We are so glad we booked our stay here. It was exactly what the website promised us. Thank you, we will be back.

After many hours searching for just the right place for our wedding and honeymoon I happened upon the Old World Inn. The Inn and staff provided the most outstanding experience for us. Our honeymoon here was filled with many moments to remember. We stayed in the Poet Room in the cottage and were quite cozy - the breakfast served every morning just outside our door was an absolute delight. The location to the Wine Train and anything else we could possibly imagine to do and see was perfect. Thank you Old World Inn - we will definitely come and see you again.

We found Old World Inn on a bed and breakfast website and decided to stay here after reviewing several different options. The room we settled on was Starry Night and it was absolutely perfect. The feather bed was to die for, the bathroom had great toiletries and a classic clawfoot tub/shower, the home entertainment system and DVD selection were wonderful. Our favorite part of the room was the private outdoor jacuzzi! What a wonderful surprise. Old World Inn gave us the perfect romantic getaway. We can't wait to come back.

As we sit on the front porch and begin our stay, our minds are transported back in time to the 1800s. Upon entering the house I finds that the dream has become a reality. Or so I think. Instantly we are greeted with a genuinely warm and friendly smile from our hostess and a feeling of coming home. Our steps sound out of place as we walk across the original hard wood floors. Photos of family members long gone stare out at us...wanting us to accept the feeling of all the love and happiness they shared in this room. Entering the secret garden is just that. An unexpected secret garden. Lying on the bed feels like floating on clouds. We close our eyes, relax and enjoy the moment. Are we really floating? WOW! Reluctantly we get up and open a shuttered door. The fantasy begins to take on a whole nother level. A deeper level. We step down into a secluded spring garden. I close me eyes and I can hear the bees buzzing around the dancing flowers, the birds singing their mating songs, and the wind whispering through the trees. We never want to leave this spot. Amazing. Our spa tub becomes our own hidden lagoon. A calming lavendar scent greets us as we sit and take advantage of the secret lagoon just as God intended. This moment will last forever in our memories. Can this "secret garden" get any better? Who knows. Just think...we haven't even experienced our gourmet breakfast or chocolate dessert or in-house wine tasting. I think it is safe to say that this does get better. (it does) So does the fantasy go way beyond reality as we know it? Or is the reality actually the fantasy becoming real? Hhmm. Thank you for allowing us to live our dream.

My girlfriend and I spent a weekend at Napa for my birthday recently and loved our stay at the Old World Inn. The breakfast was great (although similar on both mornings) but the special touches really made us smile - the wine pouring our 1st night, chocolates, cheeses and cakes laid out at various times of the day and the fire they started each night at 8:00pm. Our room was a little on the small side but it didn't bother us. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a romantic and relaxing weekend. The innkeeper made all my reservations for me before my arrival so all I had to do once I got up to Napa was enjoy myself

This was our first stay at a B&B and our first time in Napa. When we pulled up to the Old World Inn, we quickly realizedthat we were in for a treat! The friendly and knowledgable staffwas always there with a smile and a recommendation for where to eat and drink. Our room (La Biblioteca) was our own little oasiswith a bed fit for a queen (and her king) and every little amentity thatone could think of - from popcorn to accompany a good movie to fluffy bathrobes to curl up in after a relaxing bath. The homemade goodies like cookies and brownies were amazing, but the absolute best thing were the chocolate covered strawberries! Never in my life have I been so spoiled. Thanks for the fabulous time. We can't wait to tell all of our friends.

From start to finish you are well taken care of and cared for. We were really pleasantly surprised just how many details were not overlooked. The cookies fresh baked, perfect size, available 24/7. Self-serve amazing French-press coffee! The French shampoos and conditioners, , lavender hand soaps, and extremely soft and cozy bath robes really make you feel like your at a day spa, and your own home all at the same time! (minus the extremely high cost and daily responsibilities) Thank you Old World Inn for a few days of serenity, peace, and comfortable atmosphere.

The Old World Inn is in the heart of Napa Valley and offers guests all the comforts of home and the luxuries of a five star hotel. The 102 year old Inn is well cared for and graciously appointed. Guests are welcomed by the outstanding staff and treated to home baked sweets and refreshments available throughout the day. The Inn serves as the perfect home base for exploring Napa. Many shops and restaurants are within walking distance, as well as the Napa Wine Train-an experience you won't want to miss. The Old World Inn is conveniently located near Rt. 29-the gateway to the hundreds of vineyards located in Napa. The Napa experience is perfect for a relaxing get-a-way or a special celebration.

We found the Old World Inn via the internet. After reading rave reviws and seeing pictures of the rooms on the OWI website we were hooked. Ryan was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. We knew our honeymoon was going to be extra special. The evening wine tasting are so much fun, be sure to attend. Staying at the OWI was a great way to meet other couples staying at the Inn. The Bella Tuscany room was magical. The tub, the projector screen, the big comfy bed - all amazing. We will have to return for our anniversary and will definately recommend this B&B to others. Thanks so much for everything!

Starry Night at the Old World Inn Like a cloud on a cloud, I relaxed in fluffy comfort on the bed of my dreams, floating in my mind's sky while watching the stars. Like lying under a warm waterfall in the outside hot tub under the stars on a cool beautiful night, cracklin' firelog right outside with the warm aroma of a campfire. I would love to live like this...

We actually found the Old World Inn by visiting Napavalley.com. I literally looked at every B&B listed to ensure all options were considered so the best place could be picked for our anniversary. What struck me about the Old World Inn was how familiar with the B&B I felt just by visiting the website. It didn't just give a description of the room, it described the type of experience we would have and backed it up with prior guests comments. The Secret Garden room intrigued me from the start due mostly to the "Secret" spa room, however I was a bit concerned due to the proximity to the dining room. I called to inquire about the room and Ryan, one of the Innkeepers, very patiently and thoroughly described the privacy door to alleviate noise and other details of the room that previous guests had commented about. Any concerns were displaced by feeings of anticipation of our napa trip. Once we got here and saw the room our breath was literally taken away.It was beautiful, unlike what I ever imagined. The photos didn't do it justice at all. The nicest bonus of our entire stay was how professional, helpful and friendly all 3 innkeepers were whether helping with dinner reservations, winery recommendations or even locating and making arrangments for another room for the night when we decided to extend our stay at last minute . I am going to recommend Old World Inn to all of my friends and look forward to planning our next trip here soon!

The Old World Inn provided accomodations as beautiful and romantic as the vineyards that surround it. The privacy is essential for a couple just decompressing from a big wedding. Taking time to walk to town smell the roses (literally) is a great way to start a new life together. Thanks.

As a special treat for our 25th Anniversary, my husband and I chose "The Old World Inn" for our stay because it looked like a place where we could relax and be pampered a bit. We were not disappointed! From the time we arrived, our hosts made us feel special, helping us with some sight-seeing decisions and offering suggestions to help our stay be both memorable and romantic. And the pampering!! From the gourmet breakfasts to the wine and cheese hour and chocolates, coffees, & teas at all hours of the night, our palates & stomachs were amply supplied. The room was cozy & comfortable, allowing for the rustic B&B appearance, but with all the modern amenitites & the big, comfy robes added to the romance! Overall, we had a wonderful stay & look forward to our next "special treat" at the "Old World Inn!"

The Old World Inn is out of this world! Ryan planned a perfect day of wine tastings and an exquisite dinner to celebrate our second anniversary. Sleeping under the stars after a relaxing spa bath was the perfect way to unwind. The food was delicious and we made it a point to be back for appetizers and dessert each day; we could certainly get used to gourmet breakfast each day as well! The Old World Inn exceeded all of our expectations and was even better than we imagined. Their attention to detail is absolutely impeccable. Thank you to everyone for making all of our dreams come true! We hope to be back soon!

There are too few occasions to celebrate in life. We go through the years, the days quickly and efficiently, stopping momentarily for a quick event or gathering. It is a very rare occasion to be able to stop completely and enjoy life. The Old World Inn allowed us to do these things: to celebrate friendship and life then stop for awhile and slow down! We ate well, we drank well, and had the pleasure of making new friends. Thanks for those things!

This is our third time staying at the Old World Inn. Each time we visit we have a unique and amazing experience. Each room has its own unique qualities making each stay different from the last. The beds are super comfortable and we always get a good night sleep. Waking up is a treat because breakfast smells delicious. The food is wonderful. The reason we continue to come back is the staff. They greet us with a smile and make us feel right at home. They always have great suggestions on activities, wineries to visit and places to eat. They also go out of their way to make arrangements for any of the above. Every visit feels like we are visiting old friends!

The chocolate desserts were the ideal way to finish our evening. We will tell everyone we know about you and can't wait to come back! My husband and I had a unbelievably amazing stay at the Old World Inn. Neither of us had stayed at a bed and breakfast before and booked our four-night stay online. The price was very reasonable AND all of the extras included (wine tasting, appetizers & desserts) made the decision easy for us. We arrived to a great tour of the establishment and a complimentary bottle of wine in our room. The first morning we woke up to delicious smells from breakfast. We were amazed at the quality of food served to us and loved getting to know the other guests at the B&B. Directions to several wineries were provided for us by the friendly staff, as well as reservations for lunches and dinners. The room was the perfect size, the water was always hot for long showers and the bed was beyond comfortable. I will DEFINITELY recommend the Old World Inn to everyone I know. My husband and I had the best honeymoon anyone could ask for.

While exploring an unique experience, my husband and I decided that we would try a B&B for the first time although we do much traveling. WE thought a switch from hotel stays would be the ideal change. Since we were going to Napa, my husband found on line 4 B&Bs in the area and this one (Old World Inn) stood out from all the rest. We liked the display of the room selections, the date was open, the price was right and we went for it. We were not disappointed. The house was awesome and my husband said it was like going back to Grandma's house. Our room was so special. The bed slept well and the chamber room (bath) was so unique. We loved our stay. While in search of the perfect Honeymoon the beautiful Napa Valley came calling. With my new bride enchanted with everything Italian, no ordinary hotel or location would suffice. The search seemd endless. The many ordinary B&B's made promises that I knew they could not possibly deliver. Then, in a moment of chance, I crossed paths with the Old World Inn. Italy, here we come. The Bella Tuscany is calling. Everything about our stay was magical. The room was immaculate, with a genuine feel of an Italian cottage. The staff and service exceptional, catering to our every need or request. From us celebrating our marriage, to the couple celebrating their 50th Anniversary, our memories will always be treasured. We have not even left yet, but we know we will soon be back. Thanks to all at the Old World Inn for a truly unforgettable experience.

Upon searching for the perfect place to enjoy our mini-honeymoon, I had visited numerous websites of a multitude of bed and breakfasts. When I came across the "Old World Inn", I appreciated the beautiful decor of the rooms, enticing menu choices, and of course the fact that it was on "Oprah". From the instant we arrived, we knew why! Adding to the architectural and decorative charm of the inn was the graciousness, expertise, warmth, and genuineness of the innkeepers! It is no doubt that what sets the Old World Inn apart from other bed and breakfasts is the homey and inviting environment that is upheld by its knowledgeable and friendly staff! Thank you for making our stay comfortable, memorable, and sweet!

My husband and I chose Old World Inn for our Napa stay to celebrate our 10th anniversary. After surfing the web for the perfect bed and breakfast we settled on Old World Inn because of it's ideal location right in downtown Napa - close to restaurants, wineries, and quaint shops and the Victorian look of the home. Upon our arrival to the inn we noticed the warm friendly welcome from the staff and the feeling of a comfortable, relaxed place to stay. Our room, the Starry Night room, featured a king bed, private jacuzzi tub right outside our room, and a big screen TV. The bed was so comfortable and warm it was tempting to sleep in late each day. 9:00 home baked breakfasts wafted through the house urging us to get up and start our day though. We met many lovely couples and enjoyed conversations over breakfasts, wine and cheese, and yummy chocolate desserts. The Old World inn exceeded our expectations and was a memorable place to rejuvenate our love away from the hustle and bustle of work, kids, and home.

Not only was this our first time to the Old World Inn, but this was our first experience at a bed and breakfast so we had no idea what to expect. It was my husband and I's 10th wedding anniversary and we wanted to get away but nothing to far from home (we live near Sacramento). I started my on-line search. The rooms displayed for the Old World Inn site immediately caught my attention. After being able to book a room (Starry Night) in less than two weeks noticed I was impressed. The decor of the house when we entered was amazing; nothing like we've ever seen before; a great escape from the day to day big city life. The skylights in the ceiling of the room, the electric stove, plasma tv, jacuzzi tub, and feather bed were just some of the highlights of our trip. This was just what we needed and we'll never forget our special anniversary.

Old World Inn came highly recommended by some friends of ours who have stayed with you before. We love the backyard patio area and the front porch. These two areas really tied the inn together and made it very romantic and comforting. Back home we don't have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of such distinct rest spots which we took full advance of when at the Old World Inn. The inn is very cozy with all the comforts, smell, tastes, and amenities of a loving home. We enjoyed the trusting accessibility to the inn's collection of movies, refreshments, suggestion flyers and binders, and internet printer table. The soothing bubble bath in the evening was a fabulous cap to delicious dinner we had at a nearby restaurant. The beautiful navy blue fireplace kept us toasty and gave a wonderful accent to our Chocolat hideaway. Chocolate covered cherries and white wine was a great way to end the evening with a sweet note. Thank you for a memorable and simply lovely B & B stay.

Old World Inn made our first visit to Napa completely unforgettable. Janie, Vic and Ryan were amazing Inn Keepers with the best hospitality I've ever encountered. The breakfast they served were gourmet homecooked meals that I would drive the 6 hours again just to experience. The Painter rooms were awesome and having our breakfast delivered and ready for us at our door and in our fridge was so awesome. The free coffee and DVDs were such a plus to make our stay completely UNFORGETTABLE!! We will never go to another B&B in Napa - our loyalty remains with Old World Inn after just one visit!! The Old World inn embodies true style and elegance of years past. With every new discovery you'll find that your stay here is a well balanced combination of romantic elements and relaxing surprises. The food coffee and fireplace create an ambiance of Old World style, but modern conveniences with a 70 in hi-def projector screen and modern jacuzzi tub, your stay is not only relaxing but fun! The staff is friendly and more than accommodating! The Old World Inn is a five star stop that we hope to enjoy again!

A Getaway My husband and I were looking for a getaway that was close to home so we could enjoy a night away from our children. We definitely found what we were looking for. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. There were small but important touches that made our stay enjoyable. Wine in our room, hor derves, coffee, desserts, all available at any time of the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We will definitely tell our friends and family to visit and also return ourselves. Thank you for a memorable getaway.

In searching for a comfortable, romantic getaway in Napa, I found the Old World Inn amongst a list of Bed and Breakfasts on the internet. Upon sorting through the pictures of the highest rated B & B's, I narrowed my choice to 3. On calling these three B&B's, to confirm price and availabilty, it was speaking with Joy on the phone and her personality and enthusiasm convinced me that the Old World Inn was where I wanted to stay. After a long and grueling day of wine tasting, my boyfriend and I arrived at the Inn and was greeted warmly and given a tour of the house. We settled into the Starry Night room on the most amazingly comfortable bed and watched a movie on the flat screen TV. After the movie, we opened a nice bottle of wine and retired to the outside private jacuzzi to enjoy the clear, cool night air and moonlit sky. After a wonderful nights sleep, we awoke to the smell of coffee and friendly chatter at the breakfast table. A relaxing and gourmet breakfast, fresh oj and Bing Crosby background music, we regrettably had to say goodbye. Off we went, list in hand with recommended sites to see, with wonderful memories of our romantic stay at the Old World Inn!

WE LOVED OLD WORLD INN! Thanks to American Express Platinum Travel Service! They introduced us to your wonderful inn! The staff was warm and friendly, the room lovely and inviting. Very romantic and comfortable! The fireplace in the living room was so warm and the living room was a great way to meet new people from all over. We selected the Secret Garden room for the special tub, were surprised it wasn't big enough for two-but we tried! :) The breakfasts were outstanding-delicious and the portions were large. Homemade marshmallows, yummy brownies and great snacks made us feel at home. We appreciated the winery suggestions and appreciated the tasting coupons. We visited 12 wineries in 2 days. We stayed for 2 nights and slept so well! The beds were comfortable, the tiny fireplace heater kept us very warm. We would recommend the Old World Inn to everyone, and plan to visit again soon. I'm calling AmEx as soon as we get home to thank them for the great suggestion!

I recently vowed that I was going to focus more on learning to take the curve balls life throws my way in stride. I had been feeling particularly stressed out at work and very unappreciated for the long hours I put in. I was also very nervous about some questionable medical test results that were going to require more follow-up tests. I realized that life is meant to be enjoyed in the here and now moments, not to store up and wait to enjoy at some future unknown time. I wanted to take immediate action to put my new philosophy of enjoying life in the moment and taking things in stride. I realized a restful get away with my husband would be a spontaneous surprise and much needed stress reducer. I remember seeing the Old World Inn website previously and went there again on Friday. I saw one of my favoritely decorated rooms was avaialble on Sunday and with full support of my husband we booked it. Incredible! We ate cookies, drank tea, sipped wine, met great people over cheese and crackers, lounged in our huge bed, enjoyed dessert for hours and the tub, watched TV, slept great, awoke early to drink coffee and watched a movie in bed and then showered and had a wonderful breakfast. Here's to a new me and great 24 hours!

This is our second trip here at the inn and in the "Starry Night" room. The first time we came to the inn everything was amazing. The inn, the food, the hospitality, just everything. By the time we had to leave I could not imagine not coming back to the inn. Our hearts, our health, and our marriage was full and renewed. The time that has lapsed since our last visit here has been spent in anticipation of planning and waiting for a time to return to this magical place. As we neared the inn and again my heart seemed to beat faster, I could hardly wait. Once again we were not disappointed and we leave again renewed in health, spirit, and marriage. Thank you so much.

This was our first trip to Napa and I couldn't think of a better first impression than the Old World Inn. A charming well maintained older house, it was the perfect location for a base of operations to explore the wonders of Napa Valley! The breakfasts were exceptional, the rooms cozy and comfortable, the staff very helpful, and the other guest very friendly, especially during the daily wine and cheese hour in the afternoon! We would definitely recommend the Old World Inn to our friends and family and are already talking about a return trip.

My husband and I had not been on a vacation for a long time. We were looking forward to it. We booked the Old World Inn after checking the inns in both Napa and Sonoma. Old World Inn seemed to be the best value for all it was offering and it was centrally located. We were more than pleasantly surprised! Room was comfy, exceptionally clean, and peaceful after walking all day. The food was excellent especially gourmet breakfast. The hosts were more than you could ask for. Always going out of their way to fulfill our requests and answer all of our questions. Most of all the smiles on the staff and innkeepers faces were what started our days the right way! Thanks to all of you for a wonderful stay!

We were only able to stay 1 night in Napa and our new friends at Old World Inn treated us like close friends or family. We were greeted warmly upon arrival with a smile, tea and cookies. The suggestions were top notch and the room was lovely. We truly enjoyed our night "under the stars". We'll be back!

As this was a second trip to Napa we knew where we wanted to stay and through extensive research found the Old World Inn. It was close to downtown, close to the highway, and close to Trefethen where we are club members. The selection of Chocolat gave us a great room, front of house, large bed and great screen at the foot of the bed. Having a few things booked we thought we were set. Ryan and Victor listened to us and made even better recommendations. We wanted quite wineries - they made it happen. Breakfast was a delight as we met so many friendly and amusing people. The large table made for ease of discussion. We will be back.

Welcome to a taste of the past where simple pleasures and small touches add up to huge experiences. Our reservation started online and the follow up with a phone call and email. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly smiling faces and a plate of cookies. Our introduction started in an unhurried tour and explanation of what to expect. We were offered tips and reservations were made for us. The very accommodating staff went the extra mile. Just the right amount of interaction made us very comfortable. At 5:30 we were treated to a small spread of cheese and dried fruit and a private tasting by Judd's Hill Winery. Chilled wine and real glasses in our room was very thoughtful. Our Night in Paris was charming and felt like we were on a true vacation far from home. At 7 pm chocolate goodies and topping off the evening a caraf of wine was available to abide by the cozy outdoor fire pit. The morning fresh brewed coffee and ready to steep french press called us. The breakfast was excellent and filling. A true treat to experience again and share with friends.

The B & B Experience - To 'B' or Not to 'B' Definitely to 'B' at the Old World Inn! Our family decided to stop giving christmas gifts and birthday gifts to each other a few years ago and in exchange opened a savings account and made deposits on every occassion. It became known as the 'Birthday fund'! We decided to put our fund to good use upon our mother-in law's 60th birthday(which was this August). We just had to decide on a destination-Napa. The next step was to research the best possible place to rest ourselves during our tour of Napa. We searched and kept coming back to the Old World Inn. In comparison with several other B&B's available ,Old World Inn always shined. Due to a great website, personable friendly staff, which whom I spoke with on several occassions, it became quite clear that picking the Old World Inn was the best choice. Our trip has come and gone and it was truly special in everyway! It was so pleasant to wake up in such a beautiful and cozy environment as well as to return from a day of wine tasting only to go to bed in complete comfort with a belly fullof delicious treats from their very qualified and capable chef. I am truly returning home looking extremely well rested and with a feeling of complete satisfaction that your inn helped to make our Napa experience a perfect one! Thank you!

We spent 2 nights at the Old World Inn after reading great reviews online. The inn exceeded our expectations for our first B&B experience. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful from the time we made our reservation to the end of our stay giving. They gave us great recommendations on which wineries and restaurants to visit and how to get there. Our room, La Biblioteca, was cozy and comfortable. The bed was great. We really felt like we were staying at a friend's house while we were here. We enjoyed talking to the other guests about their trips and to the innkeepers to get the local choices. All of the recommendations of where to go were great. The inn is conveniently located in walking distance to great Napa restaurants and easy access to Hwy 29 and Silverado Trail. We highly recommend staying here for your trip to Napa.

I found the Old World Inn searching the internet. Although there are literally hundreds of B&B's to choose from I kept returning to the Old World Inn website. It might have been the lure of "big screen" projection TV or the mention of evening chocolates, but after reviewing the website several times I made a call to the B&B. It was then I knew this was the place for our vacation. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and truly made you feel at home. Their recommendations for wineries and other things to do was excellent. Although we were on the go most of our stay, this was the most relaxing vacation. The room was exactly as shown on the website, and very comfortable. It truly felt like home! The gourmet breakfasts were awesome and served in a friendly atmosphere. Thanks to the staff at the Old World Inn for a memorable and enjoyable vacation.

What a Stay! My husband and I were looking for the perfect location to celebrate our honeymoon. Our criteria was demanding as we wanted a memorable stay, something close enough, yet distant enough from the beaten trek to the vineyards, and it had to fit our newlywed budget fresh from paying for a wedding. We came across Old World Inn after days of searching on the 'net, and not have been happier. The variety of themed rooms, scaled prices, location and amenities won us over. The staff offered superior service. The daily gourmet breakfast whipped up by a private chef was superb. Nightly, there were wine tastings for the guests courtesy of local vineyards. The location, cleanliness and attentiveness made our first vacation together extra special. We'd made a pact not to visit the same place twice during our lifetime together, but we already know our O.W.N. will make us eat our words.

Cottage is Perfect We found OWI on the internet. While my wife loves B&Bs, up until my stay at the OWI I have been less than impressed. The service was OUTSTANDING. The cottage is super nice, and we could not have been more pleased! Thank you for a delightful experience.

We found the Old World Inn on the internet. One feature of many other wonderful ones inside the room really striked us (to be precise me) is the 80" screen and projector. I am a movie fanatic and always dream of having a home theater. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I entered the room and played around with the system (while my wife was busy looking at the linens and decorations). We brought along a couple favorite DVD to take full advantage of the system. To our delightful surprise, this thoughtful preparation was not necessary. The Old World Inn has a DVD collection of about 200 titles (roughly). You probably have to stay there a month to finish them all (not to mention you have to skip all the wine tours). Lying in the super comfortable bed and watching great movies on a 80" screen was a fantastic way to conclude a memorable day of wine tasting. Many thanks to the Old World Inn. My wife might let me buy my own projector as long as I can buy a new bed as comfy as yours!

We had a great time at the Inn. We were on our honeymoon and my wife wanted to stay at a B&B. She had never stayed at a B&B before and this was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room (Chocolat) was nicely thought out and spacious. The inn itself was charming with a lot of character. The food is excellent. Mingling and talking to the other guests added to the experience. We found the inn on the internet by accident. It looked interesting and thought it would add to our honeymoon experience. It did and we would gladly stay again or recommend it to others. P. S. Loved the big screen at the end of the bed!!

The Old World Inn was an ideal selection to celebrate our 25th anniversary. From the moment that we walked through the door, we experienced gracious hospitality from our innkeepers, Victor, Ryan, and Joy. A wine tasting was scheduled two of the three days we were there and what a great way to meet and mingle with the other guests and share experiences about the wineries. Our room, La Biblioteca, was warmly decorated and had that instant feel of comfort and coziness. It had all the modern amenities that one would want such as, a projection screen, surround sound and a wide selection of DVD's to choose from. Complimentary wine was also in our room to greet us. Decadent chocolates appeared every evening in the dining room,a little touch of sweetness. Mornings we would wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, then head downstairs to the warm and welcoming dining room and sit down to a delicious gourmet breakfast. Our last day there, Diane, the chef, even prepared our breakfast to go since we had an early flight. Our 25th anniversary was truly unforgettable, thanks to the Old World Inn and its entire staff. It's all the little details that make it so special!! Thanks for the memories!!!

We arrived at the Old World Inn weary and run down after a four day conference in San Francisco. Within minuets of our arrival we were relaxing on the bed with an excellent house white and the stay improved from there. From the friendly and helpful staff to the nightly chocolate runs, we loved our stay.

Our stay in Napa was simply perfect thanks to our decision to book the Old World Inn B&B. At first we were concerned that our wonderful room would not be private enough, being so close to the dining room. But the Secret Garden room proved to be a lovely hide-away. We loved the sunken spa on our little private porch room. So relaxing, it melted away any left over stress from travel. The bed was so comfortable we slept very well. Your location is ideal for walking to and from local restaurants after a long day of wine tastings. The staff made excellent suggestions. We especially enjoyed our Del Dotto cave tour, and dinners at ZuZu and Celadon. Congratulations to your chef. The breakfasts were special, and the chocolate treats were divine. You attract guests from all over the country, and we enjoyed the friendly chatter at breakfast and in the afternoon wine tastings. Other nice touches - the French press coffee and the big screen TVs. Thanks for such a romantic atmosphere - we felt very pampered here and look forward to our next visit to the Old World Inn!

I decided to surprise my husband for our sixth year anniversary. We did a wine blending workshop at COPIA on Friday, wine boot camp on Saturday, and then a winery outing on Sunday. It was a fun filled wine weekend, which we enjoyed immensely. Old World Inn served as our base. We were able to walk to dinner Friday night and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast Sunday before heading out to the wineries. The staff was extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants and wineries. The food here was great as well. All in all a very memorable weekend to celebrate our anniversary

Being from Massachusetts, we have been to many great B&Bs throughout New England and we have found that the Old World Inn in Napa Valley matches and exceeds many of those. Every person working there were extremely friendly and very helpful. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of Napa and Sonoma areas. Every food and winery recommendation were exactly as described. We look forward to a return trip, hopefully in the near future. We appreciate everything. Only sad we are leaving today. We will miss those fantastic breakfasts. See you soon.

We came to Napa with little expectations except to have a wonderful and relaxing vacation. Joy was the first to exceed our expectations before our arrival calling us to make sure what we needed. Upon arrival we were greeted by your wonderful staff who showed us around. We were hooked already. Wine tastings and help to find places to visit and places to eat made this a spectacular visit. Unfortunately with the time we spent at Old World Inn it makes it difficult to leave. We can't wait to come back. You guys are fantastic and the trip was unbelievable and unforgettable.

When looking online for the perfect place to kick off our honeymoon, the Old World Inn stood out from the crowd. The variety of quality rooms, value, location, and ease of booking were wonderful. Upon arrival we were thrilled to find the physical charm of the place surpassed only by the charming staff and guest. This is a B&B with a special sense of community and friendship, where guest are given the space to have a romantic getaway while also meeting a friend or two along the way. The staff, the food, and the spirit of the Old World Inn are special and not to be missed.

We were recently married and decided instead of taking one long honeymoon to take several shorter honeymoon trips. We have gone to Costa Rica, Paris, and London prior to coming to Napa. The environment at Old World Inn has been the most serene and romantic. The Inn is amazing, the cool breeze from our balcony-ette, the fluffy bed, the delicious brownies and cookies, and the superb breakfasts. The staff was instrumental in helping us pick excursions to enhance our romantic getaway. Such excursions included an amazing balloon ride above the Valley, picnic locations, wineries, and delicious dinner locations. Out of all of our honeymoon trips this year, Old World Inn and Napa Valley was the place that encourages romance and quality time the most. We look forward to our future and including Old World Inn into our celebrations.

A stay in a B&B cannot be anymore pleasant than a recent stay at the Old World Inn in Napa, CA. Upon arrival the door was iterally opened for us and the pampering began. Every recommendation from restaurants to vineyards were thoughtfully shared and consistently on the mark. It will be hard to find a more cheerful and helpful staff any where - every wish was granted. To stay anywhere else in Napa would represent a missed opportunity to embrace the essence of Old World pampering.

We found Old World Inn through an Oprah recommendation. We thought the outside and lobby were so cute when we arrived. Kim was very helpful and helped us to join the wine tasting that was already going on. The house and food are like an old comfortable friend - we loved them! The breakfasts were definitely something to look forward to. Joy was so knowledgeable about wineries we would enjoy and helped immensely. We really enjoyed many things about the rooms - the comfy, plush bed, the cozy ambiance, the entertainment theater, the bath tub, and all the little cute extras. We would to return here and would definitely recommend Old World Inn to our dearest friends. As an added bonus we met a lovely couple while here and plan to keep in touch.

Our Honey Moon While looking online for a place to stay in Napa we consistently stumbled across numerous excellent reviews of Old World Inn. We were not disappointed. Everything was awesome. We basically let them plan our stay here, and we were very pleased with everything. The wineries and restaurants they recommended were superb. If there was an option to mark service above outstanding, we would do so without a moment's hesitation. Our room was like a little piece of heaven that included a claw foot bath, a 10 million inch TV (okay we are slightly exaggertaing, but it is impressive), a 2 person jacuzzi, a soft warm king size bed, a fire place, and surround sound stereo. Did I mention the jacuzzi? Lets talk about food. There were cookies everywhere, and excursions to the main room for fudge at night. Chocolate cake and brownies became a regular midnight snack. French press coffee was awaiting for you, or there was loose leaf tea if you so choose. We'd definitely come back sooner rather han later. Certainly recommending this place to friends and family who are looking for a very hospitable and comfortable weekend away.

We live in such a busy world. Being self-employed is not always the best because it's a 24/7 job but when I booked this romantic get away for my husband and I it was as if time stood still for us. We took the time to say hello again to each other. We felt so close and so comfortable in this Walden Cottage. The romance was like yesterday, we are high school sweethearts, married for 37 years. This may sound corny but our love is a very strong bond between us. We talked to each other without the interruption of business calls, enjoyed breakfast in bed, the jacuzzi, massage...We enjoyed it all. At the end of the evening hugging one another, we are so appreciative for what we have and enjoying our true love for each other in wonderful Napa it felt for us as if, 'Time Stands Still'. We felt so welcome and a part of this lovely cottage. We look forward to our next get away. Thank-you Old World Inn for this special memory you gave us.

My daughter (27-years-old) and I loved our recent stay at Old World Inn. Everything from our incredible massages (by Carol and Jeanie in our private cottage)to watching a movie in bed (with our own in-bed home theater)was a memorable experience. The hospitality was gracious, the food was exceptional, the location is excellent, and we loved all the special extras the inn provides. If we are ever in the Napa area again, we would love to return to this charming inn.

We looked online for months and came across the Old World Inn from the web reviews of Napa. It was such a cute place - all lights were on and outside lights (Christmas strands) just glowed. Kim greeted us at the front (even though we walked in the back way after parking), and she showed us our room. We chose the Secret Garden because it was on the main level and had a Jacuzzi tub (we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary). It was a great room - we loved the fact we could check out DVD movies to watch on our projection screen. The bed was very comfortable - breakfast awesome, and after all the wine tasting the snacks were very welcoming.

It was time to plan our 1st year anniversary vacation and thought Napa would be a good choice. With many choices for lodging it was difficult to narrow it down. We thought we would stay at a four star hotel but then reconsidered after finding the Old World Inn website. The rooms were enticing so I called the number on the website. We were told to "call the Innkeeper to get a feel for the B & B that is how you can tell if it is the right place for you." Well, we immediately liked the kind woman on the other end of the phone. She was caring, knowledgeable, and we knew this was the place for us. Months later when we arrived in Napa we met the woman on the phone - she was the smiling face who showed us the beautiful grounds of the Old World Inn and lead us to our gorgeous room. All of our expectations were exceeded. The room was elegant, yet cozy, the bed was beyond Heaven! the food was exceptional and the other guests were so much fun to meet. We had the time of our life and look forward to returning on our future anniversaries - This was our first B & B experience - but will not be our last.

Our stay in the Walden ( Cottage) revived our souls. Even though we are in our golden years(70's), an evening here does wonders for your spirit. We really cannot remember a more joyous evening than our stay here.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked at Old World Inn, I had never stayed at a B&B, but we had such a great time at this inn and will definitely stay again next time we are in Napa! The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable about the vineyards and have great recommendations on restaurants and other things to do & see. Our room (La Boheme) was nicely furnished, the bed was very comfortable and I loved the claw tub! The breakfasts were first-class and very delicious and the home made desserts at night were wonderful! They had a wine reception every evening with someone coming from local vineyards to promote their wine. The porch or patio are great to relax and enjoy your bottle of wine. I highly recommend this beautiful B&B!

I just returned from the Old World Inn and I did not want to leave. The staff there are amazing and the inn is clean well kept and cozy. Great Place to stay.
