Whitegate Inn Bed and Breakfast
The Whitegate Inn, built in 1883, known as the "Jewel in the Crown" lies in the Heart of Mendocino. Chosen "Best in the West" by Sunset Magazine. An English garden sets off the pristine white exterior. Originally the home of the town's first doctor, today it remains an elegant Victorian lady; offering six professionally decorated bedchambers filled with antiques and fresh flowers. A full breakfast is served in the sunny dining room, on fine china and silver. San Francisco newspapers and gourmet coffee help get your day off to a good start.

A caramel, pecan base, with layers of sweet French bread and thinly sliced Granny Smith apples, covered with another layer of French bread with Nutmeg and Cinnamon and baked soaking in an egg mixture with vanilla. Sure is good. Written about in "Bon Appetit" Magazine and the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

- Minimum stay required (2 night minimum on weekends, 3 night minimum on holidays.)
- Smoking is allowed in limited areas (outside only please)
- Limited accommodations for guest pets (Small dogs OK@ Whitegate, big ones OK in Cottage+Abigail's)
- Limitations on children staying (And well behaved :) , children under 9 years in Cottage only)
- Limitations on childcare (May be available upon request.)
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Wine at 5PM.)
- Deposit amount required (Full amount within 14 days.)
- Check in time is 3-6 PM and Check out time is 11:00 AM
- Cancellations:
14 days, and on holidays or more than 2 rooms booked a 30 day cancel policy exists. Always a $25.00 cancel fee per room. We can only refund money if we can re-book. We are not responsible for the weather. - Accepted by the following agencies:
