Located in the heart of the historic Village, the Sea Gull Inn is one of the original bed and breakfasts in Mendocino. We invite you to sit in our beautiful gardens, relax and unwind from the stresses of your life, or spend time with family and friends. In the morning, we’ll serve you a delicious organic breakfast in your room, on the deck, or in the gardens. We have sample itineraries for daily activities and will be happy to share our thoughts on the best local wineries and eateries.

We stayed in the "Shed" for our anniversary & Valentines Day weekend. Room was quaint. Breakfast was delivered to our room and the food was fantastic. The owners are very nice and friendly. Beautiful gardens to sit and relax or have our breakfast.

Everything was lovely, except the mattress was too soft.

I had reserved only for 1 night but the next day I decided immediately to extend my stay at the Sea Gull Inn and it became my home while visiting this county. My first room was the Look-out-one room which has a nice sitting porch which is the ideal place to take your breakfast. My second room was the Sand-Dollar Room and has a very nice view with a spot on the ocean. The best thing of the Sea Gull Inn, beside the very nice hosts and very comfortable beds, is that you fall asleep with the sound of the ocean and a frog concerto (January) and that you wake up again with the sound of the ocean but this time combined with the singing of the birds and if you are lucky, the sun shining brightly into your room (both my rooms) It was definitely one of the most charming places I have ever stayed and as a Dutch/Swiss I am a big traveler and looking for quality PS: although I had to give a review on the dining, there is no dinner served, but very good restaurants around. The hosts will definitely give you suggestions as per your wants

We have ventured to other B&B's "just to try it out" that were more expensive and huge disappointments compared to the Sea Gull Inn. We will never stray again! The rooms are super clean and the beds are INSANELY comfortable. My fiance (official from our Mendocino trip last weekend!) has a sensitive back and the bed can make or break the trip. To be honest, part of the excitement of a mendocino getaway for us IS the bed at the Sea Gull Inn. A wonderful night's sleep. The owners are incredibly nice and always seem to remember us which makes me feel very special. They are welcoming and the breakfasts they make are absolutely wonderful. Warm large muffins and fresh fruit and orange juice and yogurt and coffee! Mmmmm! You can walk everywhere - it's right IN town and if you stay anywhere else you've made a mistake. (Just don't be in my favorite room when I try to go! LOL) I know this is a rave review but I honestly cannot think of ANYTHING they could improve upon. :)

I felt lucky to find a room on Nwe Years day with short notice. Checkin wa simple as the reservation was made via Internet. Room was clean and cozy. Bathroom is small, but it was ok for us. The lodge is located close to the center of town of Mendocino. We walked to beaches, restaurants, and shops even late in night. Breakfast was great.

This is a quaint B&B that reflects the lifestyle in Mendocino, cozy and charming. Location was perfect, right downtown so it was easy to enjoy good food and shopping without getting in our car.

Our four day stay in the Sand Dollar room at the Sea Gull Inn was just what we needed. Mom and I had planned a goodbye trip with a friend of ours who as it turned out was too ill to travel. Jim and Ayla were very accomodating and understanding with our last minute change of reservations. Once there, the warm and cozy room, the comfortable beds, and the delicious breakfast brought to us every morning, were just what we needed. We usully didn't get up and dressed and out of our room until around 2:00 every day. When we finally did venture out, the whimsical garden reserved hidden delights in every corner. The town of Mendocino is charming, and we came home rested, renewed, and refreshed.
