Mendocino Farmhouse is nestled in a private forest setting just minutes from the village of Mendocino, surrounded by beautiful gardens with open meadows and a pond. The farmhouse is filled with comfortable antique furnishings, wallpapered rooms, flowers, and an eclectic collection of books and music. All rooms have private baths and some have fireplaces. The barn cottage, located across from the farmhouse features two rooms, each with private baths and stone fireplaces in a separate sitting area. Each room has its own private entrance. After you have spent a very restful night's sleep in one of our comfortable rooms you will wake up to a hearty farmhouse breakfast.

Mendocino Farmhouse was exquisite country hospitality and comfort! My husband made a last minute trip into the area to do some house hunting and simultaneously celebrate our 26th anniversary. Most lodgings were booked and we just happened upon this B&B that still had one room, the “Pine Room”, available. It was perfect for our romantic house search. The cottage was clean, warm, and the door opened into a beautiful garden! We had a fire in our fireplace one night, ate cheese from the cheese board in our room, and drank wine from the wine glasses provided. Margie, the owner made a beautiful healthy breakfast for us each day, using quality foods. She is very accommodating to alternative dietary needs, as I overheard her taking an order from another couple because they didn’t eat carbs. I suggest, so that she has more time to plan, that guests let her know about their special food preferences, but she will take care of you regardless. The grounds were right out of a dream, lush and wooded, surrounded by redwoods! Lovely, lovely, lovely!! P.S. Try her homemade jams!

We've been here many times over the year. Marj is always pleasant, friendly and goes out of her ways to make us feel at home away from home. Please come and stay at her place to experience yourself.

Wonderful place. Highly recommended. Beautiful gardens surrounded by redwood forest. Would have liked to stayed much longer. Bring mosquito repellent if you plan to come in late spring or early summer. It's a short trip to the Mendocino Village, but the Farmhouse B&B has got more sun than the coast. We will definitely return.

The Mendocino Farmhouse is about 2 miles and a whole ambiance away from Mendocino Village. It's tucked into a redwood forest, with meadows and outdoor tables. We stayed in John's Room, which was huge and fell asleep to a fire in our fireplace. Peace, quiet, and 5 minutes drive to the ocean after wandering in the redwoods. Margie was welcoming and warm to us, even cooking something special for me, when I couldn't eat what she'd cooked for everyone else because of dietary restrictions. The quiche with a mushroom crust on our last day was to die for.

We had a wonderful night at Mendocino Farmhouse on our drive up the west coast. Our host Margie was thoughtful and quietly attentive; she even had gentle Hawaiian guitar music playing softly during our tasty breakfast to get us in the mood for the exotic destination on our trip. Thank you for a delightful stay.
