Inn Details

Spirit Lake is located 15 minutes north of Middletown and 10 minutes south of Clearlake. It is a 10 acre estate with a private lake. We have four elegantly decorated rooms each with private bath (tub & shower).There is a 98F 16 ft by 4 feet deep soaking pool for relaxing under a star lit sky. We offer Swedish massage, aquatic massage or Watsu. Guests are invited to enjoy the canoe, paddle-boat or row boat at no additonal charge. Read, swim, picnic or walk around the lake. Once here its hard to leave.

Directions to property:
From Calistoga, drive north on Hwy 29 over Mt. St. Helena to Middletown. From the 2nd trafic light in Middletown continue north on 29 for exactly 12 miles (aprox 15 minutes) then turn left on "C" St., you will have already passed "A" & "B" streets. Make an immediate right on May Hollow, then Immediate left on Lawrence. Take Lawrence to the end and turn right on Candy Lane. We are about 1000 feet down the road on the left hand side. Watch for the black mail box on the white post with the number 11865 Candy Lane. Note at this point you will not see a sign, the house or even the lake. We are intentionally quite secluded. Just turn in the driveway. It is 1000 feet long, follow it up to the house. Obviously at this point you know it was worth it. Come on in.

Directions from airport:
Exit Airport onto Interstate 5 north. It will take you aproximately 45 minutes to get to Williams, at the north end of Williams you will take Hwy 20 west for another 40 minutes or so. then left on Hwy 53 towards Clearlake. After four stop lights, in Lower Lake 53 will become 29 going south toward Middletown. Aproximately 5 minutes or 2 and half miles you will see "C" St. Turn right on "C" then an immediate right on May Hollow, them immediate left on Lawrence. Take Lawrence to the end and turn right on Candy Lane. We are l000 feet down the road on the left hand side. Watch for a black mailbox on a white post with the numbers 11865. Note, there is no sign, you will not even see the house or the lake. But you ARE HERE. Turn in the driveway it is 1000 feet long, come up to the house we will celebrate your arrival.

Elaine Marie is a massage therapist and instructor for over 20 years. A people person for sure. Offering massage,watsu or aquatic massage is truly her passion. Peter is a behind the scenes kind of guy, but comes out in the morning to make the best organic blue berry pancakes on the planet, when he is not trekking in the Himalayas
