Back Bay Café serves a hot breakfast to our guests as part of their stay. Next time you’re in Baywood Park stop by and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a hot breakfast beside the bay.
From the king size bed you can view the bay through french doors that open to your very own lanai.
The french doors of this lovely downstairs room open to your very own lanai looking out to the bay complete with the songs of the birds, and the smell of the flowers.
The fireplace room has a pull out sofa, two armchairs and table overlooking the beautiful bay and gardens.
This spacious upstairs room has a king size bed, a comfortable sitting area with a pull out sofa facing a romantic gas fireplace.

Located only 16 miles east of the San Luis Obispo Airport and 34 miles south of Hearst Castle. All 16 rooms at the Inn command spectacular and inspiring views of the bay with mirror-like waters and the beautiful coastal mountains of Montana de Oro State Park. Your room will feature either a cozy fireplace or a semi private view lanai and will provide the ideal backdrop for a perfect romantic vacation.

We have stayed at Back Bay Inn a couple of times and will certainly be back. Rooms are very comfortable and cozy when the fog rolls in. The views are lovely and the surrounding area has much to explore. We have fully enjoyed our stays here.

Our stay here was fabulous. The service was great, the room was clean, great value for the price. The view was so beautiful that we locked ourselves out in our hurry to get outside and enjoy it! Perfect place to catch some R and R, very peaceful and serene. Golf and a beautiful park nearby.

The Cottage is located right across the street from our Inn. You can enjoy the sunset on the deck outside the living room or enjoy the view of the bay from the sun room. The main bedroom has a King size bed, a futon couch and an electric fireplace. The sun room has a Queen size bed and a futon couch facing the bay. There is a small kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, breakfast table and a coffee maker. It has a private bathroom with shower and tub. There is currently no internet connection at the Cottage.

The Loft is located behind the Inn. It has a large and open floor plan and rustic design with an open beam ceiling and skylight. There is a large balcony with a view overlooking the garden and the bay. The Loft has a Queen size bed near the gas fireplace. Another King size bed is at the other end. There is a kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dining table, television and a coffee maker. It has a private bathroom with shower and tub, and also a washer and dryer. At the present time there is no telephone or internet connection.

From the South: Take U.S. 101 to San Luis Obispo and exit at Los Osos Valley Road. Turn left on to Los Osos Valley Road and go for about 10 miles (much of it farmland) to South Bay Blvd. Turn right on South Bay Blvd. Drive for 1.5 miles to Santa Ysabel (second light). Turn left and drive 16 blocks to 2nd Street. Turn left and go 2 blocks to the water. The Back Bay Inn is on your right near the pier and behind the coffee shop. From the North: Take U.S. 101 to the Hwy 41/Morro Bay exit in Atascadero. Turn right on to Hwy 41. Drive about 16 miles through the mountains until it meets Hwy 1 near the coast. Go South on Hwy 1 about 2 miles and take the Los Osos/Baywood Park exit. Turn right and follow South Bay Blvd (along the waterfront) for 2 miles to Santa Ysabel Avenue. Turn right and drive 16 blocks to 2nd Street. Turn left and go 2 blocks to the water. The Back Bay Inn is on your right near the pier and behind the coffee shop.
