    Homely and friendly

    June 09, 2013

I had the pleasure of staying at Sanborn House for 3 nights and got to enjoy the vibrant and hip area of Silverlake. The location is perfect only steps away from Sunset Boulevard with all its cafes and bars. The suite I stayed in was very spacious and kept in a 1920´s fashion. The service was very personal and friendly and I can highly recommend staying at Sanborn House.

    Great Location, Great Value.

    June 08, 2013

We live in Los Feliz, a stone's throw from the Sanborn Guest House. Our house was being tented for termites and we wanted to stay close to home. Gary was a very accommodating host, and our room was just what we needed for two nights. We stayed in the Sanborn Guest Room. The Guest Room has a queen bed and sink in the room. A shower and toilet are attached. If you desire more space, the Guest Suite has a larger bathroom, and a sitting area. Both share the same kitchen. There are good photographs on their website. The shower and bathroom were fresh and clean, as were the towels and bedding. We had access to a shared kitchen with everything needed to cook a meal. Coffee and filters were provided with the coffeemaker. There is a new grocery market/deli you can walk to in five minutes (Yummy.com) with anything you could need to pick up, or they deliver. Sanborn House is located just two blocks from Sunset Blvd. in Silverlake, with easy access to great restaurants, coffee houses, and shops. Even though we've lived in the area for many years, we really enjoyed walking around the area and seeing a different side of the neighborhood. We will definitely recommend Sanborn Guest House to our friends.

    Coronado Studio

    June 05, 2013

Very much enjoyed my time here. Comfortable bed and cozy studio. Very bohemian digs. We felt safe in the neighborhood at all times and enjoyed the diversity. It felt like coming "home" instead of going back to a hotel room. Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Joselyn and Jonathan. I'll be back.

    Perfect Location

    June 02, 2013

This is a perfect location for a stay in the LA area. It is a great little neighborhood. It is a comfortable hide-away from the business of the city, with secure parking and in a reasonably quiet spot. There was some traffic noise early in the evening, but we slept well. The bed was comfortable and it just felt like having our own little home in the midst of the city. We will definitely go back.

    An LA treat

    May 23, 2013

The Sanborn Guest House is an extremely pleasant hideaway in downtown LA. It is close to restaurants and sights, but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. It is a unique accommodation and the price is right! Plus off-street parking if you need it.
