An added treat to your visit to this tiny hamlet is a memorable stay at Butterfield Bed and Breakfast. Five guest rooms; Stanza Italia, Country Corner, FeatherNest, Apple Sweet in the main inn, each with private bath and two with a fireplace, and our RoseBud Cottage with a woodburning stove, all create a cozy get-a-way.
You begin your day with an elegant breakfast served in the garden gazebo or patio in the summer, or the parlor with its crackling fireplace when the chill of winter sets in. You end your day with homemade dessert in the parlor. You can spend your day enjoying the Julian countryside or just relaxing with a good book from our library out under the oaks in the fresh country air.

Follow signs from airport to I-5 North. Take I-5 North to I-8 East. Take I-8 East to Highway 67 to Ramona. In Ramona, Highway 67 becomes Highway 78. Take Highway 78 to Julian. In Julian, turn right on Main Street, go one mile and turn right on Whispering Pines Drive. Go .2 mile and make a sharp hairpin right turn onto Sunset Drive, following that to our sign and driveway on the right at 2284 Sunset Drive.
