Come relax and enjoy our veranda. Graced by Dry Creek Valley, Fitch Mountain and Mt. St Helena to the east, views from the Mansion's veranda are simply stunning. Extraordinary views across the valley, comfortable wicker furnishings and early morning sun make this a great place to read the paper and enjoy a cup of coffee as your day begins. On midsummer evenings, there is no better place to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine from our full bar.Surrounded by vineyards, at the nexus of three world class appellations, Madrona Manor is ideally located with more than 75 wineries within a 20 minute drive.
The Carriage House, original to the estate, has been remodeled to offer eight guest rooms and one suite. Most of the rooms have fireplaces, two have large balconies. The suite includes a marble bath with jacuzzi for two.The estate gardens wrap around the heated pool, making this a lovely sanctuary for sunning, swimming, reading and just plain relaxing. Open May through October, the pool is an idyllic oasis anytime of the day and early evening. An evening swim is particularly enchanting as the moon comes up through the trees.
The gardens at Madrona Manor are reknowned for their beauty. Extending over the eight acre estate, a variety of flower gardens, a kitchen garden with produce year round, orchards and flowing lawns create an ambience far removed from the hustle and bustle of town.Dining in Madrona Manor's award winning restaurant is truly a pleasure. During the summer season, the Palm Terrace offers outdoor seating with romantic garden views not to be found in any other venue.
The Music Room, located on the ground floor of the Mansion is relaxing and enjoyable with its plush seating, fireplace, and chessboard. The Hallet, Davis & Co. rosewood square grand piano, loveseat and armchairs are all original to the house, having been brought by ship around Cape Horn in the 1880s from Boston. The elegance of Madrona Manor's dining rooms is truly an experience to savor, a quintessent triumvirate with Chef Jesse Mallgren's cuisine, the Manor's reknowned warm and gracious service, and an extensive wine cellar. Our menu is a culinary tour de force, from ala carte to 4, 5, and 7 course Chef's Tasting Menus. We are open to the public and offer private dining rooms for special occasions.
Room 204 in the Mansion is one of the original master bedrooms, with high ceilings, fireplace, kingsize bed, and private marble bath with clawfoot tub. French doors open onto a large private balcony overlooking Dry Creek Valley. There is also a bay window overlooking the south garden. Kingsize pillowtop mattress clothed in 310tc supima cotton linens, Frette bath towels and terry robes will help you relax and unwind in ultimate comfort. Standard accoutrements include air conditioning, private bath, make-up mirror, hairdryer, as well as Avedas luxurious and aromatic toiletries. Telephones include private voicemail and dataport. Complimentary WIFI is available throughout most of the property. The romantic mood in Mansion Room 304 is set by the richly patterned strawberry vines in the wallpaper. Louis Philippe furnishings and a romantic fireplace are nicely framed by the light crème wainscoting. Dormer windows look over Dry Creek Valley and our estate. A big high eastern window in the bathroom makes this a very pleasant place for morning ablutions. Pillowtop mattress, 310tc linens, Frette bath towels and terrycloth robes, air-conditioning, private bath, make-up mirror, hairdryer, and Aveda¿s luxurious toiletries are standard fare in all rooms. Telephones include private voicemail as well as a dataport.
Tulips and cherry blossoms grace the gardens in March. In late April and early May, our citrus grove blossoms, scenting the night air with the essence of spring.
