We recently stayed at Climbing Rose Cottage in Geyserville and had a lovely time. The cottage was more than we had expected. Fully self-catering and well equipped, including a much appreciated hot tub to soak weary running muscles (we ran a half-marathon). The cottage is about 3 houses away from the main street of Geyserville where the restaurants and wine tasting rooms are, you couldn't ask for a better location. The house is very clean, comfortable beds, has a fireplace and a nice garden attached. Felt safe and was quiet. Ideal. Highly recommend.

This place was a perfect location. Everything was walking distance. We stayed here because we did the half marathon run. The race was not far at all from our room, it was just a perfect day for running. Then afterwards we went to have cocktails to celebrate our finisher...lol

We enjoyed our brief stay and were sorry not to be able to stay longer. The house was very comfortable for our three person family. No dining was included. Many restaurants nearby.

We stayed her last year and came back again. I liked this B&B because you can walk to town, the inn keepers are helpful but not intrusive, there is lots of community space ( living room, pool) to spread out in, and you can have breakfast anytime between 8:30 to 10. Great value for Healdsburg.Highly recommend.

We made our first visit to Healdsburg and Camellia Inn the first of September for 4 nights. We stayed in a king deluxe room, which is quite spacious. Comfortable sleep is important to us and the Inn provides it. Our room was amazingly quiet and the bedding was so nice, I heard several people express interest in ordering sheets. Also, the pillows were not too thick. My neck is most appreciative. Bottled water was placed in our room every day and breakfast was perfect, offering variety and interesting conversation around the table. The only downside to our room would be a spa tub shower, requiring some agility to climb into and there are stairs. I think the description in the website covers that and there are other rooms to choose from if that is a problem. The location is great for seeing Healdsburg. One block and you are in the shopping, dining area. We walked to dinner every evening; no need for a car. Lucy, the innkeeper, was very helpful, getting winery and dining reservations for us. All in all, a great place to stay.

My fiancée and I stayed for one night, and that's our biggest regret of our stay: not staying longer. Healdsburg and the Camellia are brilliant. Hindsight being twenty-twenty, we would have cut a day off our stay in Mendocino and spent it instead at the Camellia. The room was small, but had everything we needed-- plus we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. The wine and cheese happy hour was a perfect welcome, and it took us a lot of willpower to pull ourselves away to go and get a proper dinner in town. I would highly recommend staying here to friends and family, and in fact already have done so. We agreed we need to come back.

Baked Brie and Tomato Breakfast Strata Recipe
With the rich agricultural bounty of Sonoma County to choose from and weekly Healdsburg farmer's markets, we are fortunate to be able to cook seasonally with fresh from the farm ingredients. In summer, that means using heirloom tomatoes, Brie from one of our local cheese makers, farm fresh eggs, crusty sourdough bread from the town's award-winning bakery and zucchini for this great breakfast strata.
With the inn decorated for all the upcoming holidays, it’s a perfect base camp for shopping at chic shops on the plaza and attending wine hospitality open houses. Our Falling for Healdsburg getaway includes complimentary wine tasting vouchers, a full harvest inspired breakfast every morning and Sunday through Thursday, any Queen Room for $199 per night and any King Room for $259. A value of up to 22 percent under regular room rates. Fall in love with fall menus at local restaurants, autumn warmth in tasting rooms and warming spa treatments. The days are still mostly sunny with just a touch of crispness in the air. Available through December 23, 2014.
