Really enjoyed our time. Great room and location for a good price.

A beautiful place to stay and it is walking distance from Healdsburg's adorable town square.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at the Camellia Inn. We were visiting for our honeymoon and wanted a comfortable bed and breakfast in a picturesque walk-able town that wasn't as commercially touristy as Napa Valley (so we've heard). We stayed for four nights, and Lucy, our innkeeper, was genuinely warm and welcoming. She clearly takes pride in caring for her guests and her gorgeous historic property, and gave us great recommendations on wine tours and where to dine. The breakfasts were AMAZING and there was always plenty of it. She even created a different smoothie every morning! One of the other guests was vegan and Lucy made sure she had something else homemade specifically to fit her food preferences. Between the breakfasts and the wine and cheese hour we learned that several of the guests have been coming to the Camellia Inn for years. The property was clean and beautiful, the service was excellent, and the rates were beyond reasonable. We can't wait to go back for our one year anniversary!! Matt and Katherine H. May 21-25, 2013

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in the budget room at Camellia Inn! For the location and all the Inn has to offer, the price really cannot be beat. The room was small with a double bed and private bath across the hall, but it was just enough for the two of us. We were hardly there anyway as we were out exploring wineries and the town most of the time, so it worked out perfectly. We were able to spend two nights in Healdsburg instead of just one because of the great price for the budget room. The Inn is beautiful, clean, peaceful, and just a couple blocks from town. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and there was always fruit or chocolates around to grab for a snack, as well as the afternoon wine and cheese reception. I called about a week ahead to notify the Inn about my gluten intolerance and they were easily able to accommodate my dietary needs. I also received a postcard from the Inn about two weeks before our stay, which was a really thoughtful touch. We were the youngest guests, being in our mid-20s, but everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and professional during our stay. We didn't have the opportunity to meet the owner, Lucy, as I think she might have been out of town, but Archie was always around and had impeccable recommendations for the best area wineries, restaurants, and bars. He never steered us wrong! We really enjoyed meeting him. Thanks to Archie, Lucy, and the rest of the staff for their hospitality and for making sure we had a wonderful experience!

This inn has everything you could want - beautiful rooms, antique furniture, toiletries, stuff you forgot (like tooth brushes), bathrobes, pool, wine and cheese in the afternoon, 24-hour coffee and cookies, a great breakfast, helpful hosts, and probably other things I've forgotten. I've never stayed anyplace that gave the guests so many extras. And it's only 2 blocks from the plaza.

Highly reccommend this upscale B&B. Great hosts, great ambiance, PERFECTLY situated.

Inn keeper was known at every winery we stopped by and you can see why. Inn is right off the town square, very comfortable and they even gave us a free room upgrade. Breakfast was top notch. Ipad in every room for a nice modern touch.

We were met by Archie who made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, neat, and comfortable. The breakfast was great and there were several choices. The fresh fruit was really good. The coffee was some of the best I have had at a B&B.

The Camellia Inn is a lovely Victorian mansion set in downtown Healdsburg. It's a short walk to day spas and bakeries. There are many fine dining establishments. We stayed in the Tower East king deluxe room, which is spacious and comfortable. There's a sitting area in the room, with a jacuzzi in the shower room. Highly recommend the Outrageous French Toast served at Saturday morning breakfast. Also a plus is that cranberry juice is offered. Just a relaxing visit. Prepare to shift down.

We have been guests at this in for many years, can't remember when we first stayed. Have always felt we were special and made to feel comfortable. It is like going home after so many visits.

The Camellia Inn is a cute, quaint B&B within walking distance of Healdsburg square. We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Everything about our stay was just fantastic. The room was beautiful, and the iPad winery guide was really helpful. Our hosts were gracious and very accommodating of dietary needs for breakfast. Highly recommended.

We had a memorable experience at the Camellia Inn. Every aspect of our stay, the room, the inn, Lucy , the innkeeper was outstanding. I am not sure if Healdsburg knows what a jewel it has.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Camellia Inn. Breakfasts were wonderful - plentiful options, and tasty choices with quality bread from the local bakery. The lovely sitting room was pleasant with warm sunbeams. We enjoyed reading both the local paper and the New York Times both mornings. We stayed in the budget room and although it was smaller than the other rooms and had a double bed rather than a king or queen, it was just the right size for us! The location was ideal and we barely drove all weekend. It was so nice to be able to walk into town rather than drive. Lucy was away while we were there, but Archie was good company and we appreciated visiting with him and the rest of the staff and guests. Highly recommended and we hope to stay there again someday!

This was our second stay in 6 years to Lucy and Archie’s exquisitely decorated Victorian home surrounded by lovely blooming camellias. Loved: the complimentary iPad and internet access provided in the room; full hot breakfasts during the 2 mornings (locally grown fresh fruits, yogurt, granola, cereals, fresh baked bread, hot croissants, Mexican breakfast casserole, fruit smoothies, juices); wine & cheese hour to meet other houseguests and talk about places of interest. Lucy gave great advice on eating at the local Healdsburg restaurants, all within a 2-block walk from the inn. Used the Sonoma wine pass and Lucy’s excellent advice to visit wineries in the Dry Creek area. With so many wineries & so little time, we made stops at those highly recommended by her and other local winegrowers. Only downside was the heater blower in the room’s old fashioned under the floorboards heater kicked on every 20 minutes to keep the room at a comfortable 72 degrees on the chilly nights.

My husband and I and another couple spent 2 wonderful nights at the Inn. Our hostess was the best! Great food and the other guests were pleasant company. Perfect location-we walked everywhere. Would I go back?....Definately!

We had a wonderful stay in Sonoma valley, with winetasting and a pleasent stay in Healdsburg.

We love this 2 bedroom apartment for our family of 4, 2 adults two 20something girls. This is our second stay. It is a great location, quiet for sleeping, walk to shops, restaurants, strolling. Huge kitchen and living room. My only complaint is the bedding. Wish it was a little fresher smelling. Beds a little uncomfortable, but fine our 2 night stay.

Magnificent Tree and Xmas decorations around the house. Lucy was great at making suggestions and reservations for wine tasting and dinners. Beds have thesoftest sheets I've ever experienced.

Returning guest and will return again. We enjoy the area and to have a comfortable place to stay just adds to the fun and enjoyment. The staff and owner are great!

Loved the fireplace room. For the price, this is infinitely better than the boutique hotels in Healdsburg.

We had a great stay at Camellia Inn. Charming house, very well kept, good bed, great advice on wining and dining, pleasant breakfasts. The little things are done well - great sheets, high quality toilet paper and tissues, an iPad in each room. Perfect location. From someone who goes to many B&Bs, this one is in the top 10%.

Had a lovely time! Walking distance (two blocks) to Healdsburg town center which is perfect for indulging in the wine tasting rooms and dining. Lucy is a lovely hostess and the pinot and pizza package was a winner!

Can't beat the location with regards to being able to walk about town. We had the smallest room with the separate bath - not a problem. Terrific bed and bath linens. Very quiet at night even though facing street and close to main square. Excellent service by owners and staff - always available but never "in your face". Very good breakfast included traditional breakfast buffet items plus freshly made smoothies, hot entree, freshly baked coffee cakes or rolls, very good breads. Always fresh whole fruit as well as fruit cup. Owner very helpful with maps, suggestions, passes to wineries, offers to make dinner reservations. Easy off-street parking. High consideration for bicyclists. The best - the nightly gathering with other guests for wine and snacks by the pool (weather permitting, inside if weather not so nice). A super opportunity to meet and share with others - our group was a true mixed bag coming from Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado, Sweden, Maine.

My wife and I and another couple stayed at the Camellia Inn for four wonderful nights. Lucy and her breakfasts were great, she was full of helpful suggestions about Healdsburg and the wine region, and the rooms were very private and nicely appointed. This was our second stay at the camellia Inn, and I am sure we will be back!

We enjoyed our visit in 2000 so much that we returned in 2012. Same great place. Wonderful opportunity to meet other guests while enjoying refreshments at 5:30 pm. Great breakfasts ! A very nice place, just 2 blocks from the main street and many restuarants. The host made reservations for us at Zin where we had an excellent dinner and wine. They have a wine and munchie hour at 5:30 which was by the pool as it was warm. Breakfast was great with hot food and great coffee.

We were very pleased with the spaciousness of the downtown apartment. A second bath would have been nice, but the full kitchen was a real bonus. We did not have any meals provided, but the location was great for all the restaurants in Healdsburg, as well as wine tasting. Hosts were easily accessible and information for the stay was readily available. Great place to stay.

Perfect place as a base for exploration of the Upper Sonoma Wineries.

Three of us stayed in the downtown apartment owned by the Camellia Inn for a girls weekend. It was a little dated but still very comfortable with more than enough space and a fantastic location close to all the restaurants, shops and farmer's market in Headlesburg.

This was our third stay at Camellia Inn, outstanding as always. Lucy, the owner, is warm, welcoming and extemely helpful with reservations, etc. There are always "goodies" out, and the food is wonderful. It is overall exactly what we enjoy and hope for when we stay at a B&B.

For our Honeymoon we made our first trip to the wine country of California and found the gem that is the Camellia Inn. Lucy, Archie, and the others at the Camellia Inn were fantastic hosts. We stayed three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. They were always prepared with suggestions of activities to do, wineries to see, and restaurants in which to dine, and their recommendations hit true to the mark every time. We had a fantastic experience and have already been recommending a stay here to our friends and family.

This is a great B&B. Owner's were very pleasant and the prepared food was excellent. We had the small room with a bathroom across the hall. The value was great. The only negative was the quality of the mattress.

Beautiful room! Well-appointed and luxurious . . . even the shower! I felt welcome from the very beginning. Archie and Lucy are gracious hosts. Breakfast was a feast each morning, and the table was set beautifully. Lucy is on hand at breakfast, remember what we did the day before, and asking about our plans for the coming day. I needed a jeweler during my stay to repair a necklace, and she had the perfect recommendation. She knows the area well, and she is well-known and deeply respected by those around. I feel like I've made a new friend. I could not have been more pleased with my stay, and have already recommended it to several of my friends. The Camellia Inn sets the bar high!

We absolutely loved staying here! Lucy was so helpful and the inn was beautiful! We stayed in the Budget room with the detatched private bath and it was so clean and comfortable. The inn was quiet even with road construction right outside our window. There was a 5pm complementary wine and snack hour by the pool everyday and we got to meet several guests and chit chat about each others adventures. The breakfasts were delightful and one dish was made from veggies right from Lucy's dad's garden! I really can't say enough great things about the inn and Lucy. We would definately stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, we were provided with great service. After our warm welcome and personal tour, we were able to quickly drive to may area wineries. In addition, upon our return to the B&B we found a wine and cheese hour by the pool awaited! This place is perfect for a quiet wine country weekend and is walking distance to all the downtown Healdsburg shops, cafes, and restaurants.

We stayed one night in a Queen Room at the Camellia Inn. Our stay was very pleasant. We found the service to be outstanding and the rooms to be comfortable, clean and classic. The Inn is located just off the main square in easy walking distance from the restaurants, tasting rooms, and attractions. We look forward to our next stay at the Camellia Inn.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Camellia Inn when we were in Healdsburg for a wedding weekend. The innkeeper, Lucy, was warm and welcoming. Our room (Tiffany) was really comfortable and a great place to come home to at the end of a fun day. Comfy robes were provided and we loved the bathroom amenities. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to eat breakfast at the Inn, but I gave it a top rating because I was forced to select a rating. Pool was nice and relaxing. All in all a great experience. We will definitely stay here again if another Healdsburg weekend is in the works.

Delightful B&B within walking distance of downtown Healdsburg. Lovely hostess/owner. Extremely comfy bed and exceptional linens, etc. The wine by the pool was a nice touch. Breakfast is at a large oval table. I am not one for chit chat in the morning so this was my only issue with this B&B. So it was great coffee in a quiet corner for me. Otherwise, a fantastic place that I would highly recommend.

Very friendly staff. Peaceful surroundings. Old classic building shows its age, but gives the place character. Breakfast and wine cocktails make it easy to meet other visitors and get advice on where to spend your time during the day. Overall a very welcoming experience.

We have settled on the Camellia Inn as our home away from home on our trips to Wine Country. Lucy and her husband are wonderful hosts and the other guests are always interesting and fine company.

Our second stay at the Camellia Inn was excellent. They have beautiful rooms and they prepare an excellent breakfast. The proprietor provides helpful tips and coupons for wine tastings and other excursions. We also enjoyed some time poolside!

This charming place is walking distance to restaurants and cafes in Healdsburg. After a day of sight-seeing wine tasting it's a great place to retreat for a dip in the pool before walking to dinner in town. We stayed in The Roost, a room in a house across the street from the inn. It was great, especially for folks who'd like to keep a little distance from the conviviality of a B&B.

The Inn is located within walking distance to the town centre. The hosts were gracious and assisted us in making reservations, guiding us where to go and providing tourist information. The nightly wine and cheese was a great way to taste a few more regional wines and to meet some of the other guests.

An excellent B&B in Healdsburg. Convenient walk to downtown. This B&B has been in the family for over 30 years. Rooms were perfect and food delicious. I'd highly recommend to others.

I had booked the budget room, as I was traveling alone. Upon my arrival I was upgraded to the Luxury Suite. It was charming. The lovely wine tasting and cheese was nice each afternoon/ evening and the people were helpful. I will definitely return.

Our stay at the Camellia Inn was fabulous. Lucy made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived. Breakfast every morning was terrific with fresh fruit, fresh bread and smoothie shots. We left for our day of biking with homemade energy bars and returned to fresh cookies. After we washed up, there was wine and cheese. For dinner, we followed Archie's recommendations each night and we were never disappointed. Then, time for bed in an amazingly comfortable bed with super soft sheets.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Climbing Rose Studio which is part of the Camellia Inn. The room was large and airy with a wonderful "soaker" tub.At the back of the studio was a charming garden which was very private. The studio is situated near the best restaurants in Geyserville. We loved walking up the road a bit to the "Locals" Tasting centre where we had tasted great local red and white wine from the area

After exploring Napa several times, we ventured over to the Sonoma side. The inn provided the most convenient place for visiting any number of wineries including several in town. Our host were outgoing and helpful, offering advice and a willingness to make reservations. The rooms were lovely. The evening wine and cheese gave us a chance to meet some of the other guests. Breakfast was top notch. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks!

Camellia Inn is one block of the main square in Healdsburg. A great location. Within walking distance of restaurants, shops and tasting rooms. The Inn is quaint, the rooms are well maintained and decorated appropriately. The breakfast each morning home made, and the owners are available to give advice on which wineries to visit, etc. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and definitely would stay there again.

We were fortunate enough to get the downtown apartment that is part of the Camellia Inn. It was above the most delicious French Bakery, where we could just go downstairs, pick up some breakfast goodies and enjoy them in the comfort of our apartment with morning coffee. We could walk all over central Healdsburg and shop in all the stores that were right there. We had dinner down the street at Willi's Seafood and Raw Bar... it was so good, we ate there 2 nights in a row. I would recommend this Inn highly. Lucy is very sweet and accomodating. Great if you have a group of girls for a weekend stay... could sleep 8 easily.

We stayed in the Demitasse rom which had a detached private bathroom across the hall. The tub, which dates from the 20s, iwas extra long and I enjoed taking a long, soaking bath. The room was fine and comfortable. After a long hard day of wine tasting, it was nice to come back to the Inn and have some cheese and more (!) wine set out. There were wines from wineries we hadn't visited. In the morning, the large dining table was the place for a communal breakfast (yummy) where we had a chance to trade tips with our new friends. The room was very clean and nice. The staff were very helpful. The food was also very good. I would go back there anytime.

We are wine country novices and so could not believe our good fortune to end up in the charming town of Healdsburg at this wonderful B and B. It is no small feat for Lucy to maintain this beautiful Victorian home in such a pristine state. Our room was so comfortable, with its fireplace and four posted bed, and we spent more time in the room than we usually do, just to take advantage. Breakfast was not your ordinary fare, and was delicious and plentiful. We met the most lovely couples, from newlyweds in their 20's to European and S. American visitors. The wine and cheese get-togethers in the afternoon provide a wonderful opportunity to share winery recommendations and make new friends. We will definitely return.

This place is a little pricey for what it is, but it is in Wine Country. Location good and everything else met expectations.

We really enjoyed our visit! The food was great and Lucy was very helpful. We would return and recommend this as a very nice Healdsburg getaway.

I did have an outstanding experience. The room was comfortable and clean. A perfect explanation was given about how to achieve the perfect room temperature for me. My hosts were friendly and informative. The location was perfect for a stroll to and through town. The yard was beautiful with all its flowers. And breakfast was very yummy! I cannot wait to go back!

The rooms were very pleasant. The breakfast was out of this world and the afternoon wine hospitality hour was generous. Perfect location near downtown and restaurants with off street parking. It doesn’t get any better than a stay at the Camellia Inn.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at this cozy B&B, close to the center of town. We loved that we could walk to all of the shops and restaurants. The rooms were larger than we expected and the bed sheets are amazing. Breakfasts are delicious and we love the wine and cheese hour and the cookies every day. We would definitely come back again!

We have stayed here before and enjoyed it.This time around was a little less interesting. The breakfast was a little underwhelming. We opted to skip breakfast Sunday morning and went somewhere in town. The staff is friendly but did not get the service or attention we got last time we were here. It is a charming old Victorian house that needs a bit of work. I would stay here again.

I recently stayed here in their "budget room" and had a fabulous stay. The decor was inviting and the service was excellent. The location is prime and overall I would stay here again when I am in the area next time!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Climbing Rose Studio. The location was great - within walking distance to several good restaurants, a corner market and of course wine tasting storefronts. It was clean, private and had all the key amenities.

The building and rooms are well appointed and the breakfast each morning is great. The breakfast is serve yourself with lots of choices. It is an easy walk to many nearby restaurants and the inn keeper, Lucy is wonderful and knowledgeable about local restaurants and wine venues.

A delightful Victorian Inn with all the comforts of home. Walking distance to downtown Healdsburg was a real plus! The Inn keepers took great care of us!

We stayed two nights in a lovely king room. It was perfect. The ambiance, the help from Lucy, the food, the room - everything was lovely and comfortable. We could not have asked for more. My husband and I will definitely return.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. Healdsburg is a very pricey destination. Our rates are the least expensive for rooms within walking distance of the town plaza. With breakfast, afternoon snacks, wine and cheese reception - we try to remain moderate for the area. We really appreciate the feedback.

Lovely B&B, comfortable, you can park once and walk the rest of the weekend as town is steps away. Great breakfast and wines in the evening, very friendly owners. Definitely will return.

We had a fantastic time at the Camillia Inn and have wonderful memories of our two days spend there with the beautiful breakfasts that we took poolside and the scent of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies wafting through the house before tea time. The amenities were more than ample, the room and bathroom very clean and the owners were so kind and accommodating. We will recommend this sweet little B&B to anyone who passes through Healdsburg, as it is also located so centrally, just a 3 minute walk into town and in a beautiful neighborhood that is perfect for scenic morning jogs.

Lucy, the innkeeper, besides doing all the things you want and expect from a top B&B, deftly does more. Somehow, she fosters great interactions among guests that wouldn't happen without her. Also, she is THE expert on the area and is an incredible resource for all things Healdsburg. We were there mostly for wine tasting and she gave us passes for free tastings. It's pretty much impossible to not love Healdsburg, but a stay art Camellia makes it even better.

A beautiful location - very short walk to the Healdsburg square. The rooms are gorgeous, beds comfortable. Wine & cheese by the pool in the early evening. Lucy & her husband make you feel right at home. Breakfasts are hu-yuge and tasty!

My husband and I were guests at the Camellia Inn about 20 years ago. Our return visit brought back fond memories. We love the setting, the staff, the breakfasts and the location. Close to shops and restaurants but quiet and serene. We will definitely stay here again and I hope it won't be 20 years before we return.

I have to preface my comments but saying that this was the very first B&B my husband and I ever stayed in. With that said, the Camellia Inn was nice but just wasn't our taste. The room we booked was exactly as pictured and clean but had a window A/C unit (which is unsettling for us Texans) and was down the hall from the (private) bath. While we knew the bathroom was not en suite when we booked, it is a bit further than we expected (note: our room did have two robes for our use). Additionally, there is only one TV and we found that the furniture in the living areas was uncomfortable for lounging. Checking in was a bit confusing (there's no "front desk") and the other residents were much older than us (we are in our 30s). However, breakfast was good and is served from 8-10am and the property is close enough to Healdsburg to walk with no problems. Overall, the Camellia Inn is a nice place to stay (if you love B&Bs you will most likely love this one, too) however, we have discovered that we prefer a more traditional hotel while vacationing.

Thanks so much for your honest feedback. As you said, Bed & Breakfasts aren't for everyone. It's interesting about our demographic mix of clients. We usually have guests of all ages but every once in awhile we'll have a majority of older guests or a majority of younger! Your comments about confusion and comfort I'm taking to heart and to my husband. I'm going to see what we can do to improve on both levels. Sounds like we probably won't be seeing you again but please come back to the area as there is so much here to enjoy. Your thoughtful critique is much appreciated.

We stayed at Camellia for our honeymoon. It was a beautiful inn with great service and food. We really enjoyed our stay in Healdsburg. What a beautiful town!

After staying here for the second time, we were again very pleased and hated to leave. Bountiful breakfasts, wine and cheese by the pool, and most of all, a very gracious innkeeper made for a perfect stay. We will be back!

We found our hostess efficient, pleasant, generous and knowledgeable. While we are from Sonoma County, just 30 miles down the highway, we learned much about the Healdsburg/Dry Creek/Alexander Valley area from her. We hope to soon find a reason to return.

Stay at Camellia Inn was fantastic. Accommodation is luxurious and comfortable - Lucy has a very lovely home and really goes out of her way to ensure your the best stay possible. Location is excellent - very close to town and the great restaurants and bars but on a quiet street so not noisy. Definitely recommend and will stay again.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment in downtown Healdsburg, and it was delightful! This accomodation does not include breakfast. But, it does include a full, well-equiped kitchen. We went to the Safeway (within walking distance) and bought food, then cooked breakfast in for ourselves each day, and packed a cooler of lunch food for picnics at nearby wineries. Great spot for families with older children (ours are in their mid-20s so could legally drink wine.) There is sleeping for 8-9 people (although comfortable for only 5-6, since there are only two bedrooms and one bathroom. The common living area is great for card-playing and movie-watching, as well as eating together. Fun to go out to dinner and shopping and wine tastings within walking distance. Nice French cafe immediately below.

I stayed in the apartment on Healdsburg Avenue. So, I cannot rate the service or food at the Inn. The apartment was wonderful, in an ideal location. It was roomy and perfect for my family, including my two young sons.

Hospitality, helpfulness, guidance and suggestions exceeded our expectations. Lucy and staff were extremely gracious. We would stay there again.

Okay, so I'm the only girl in the country who wasn't thrilled with California wine tours -- but this trip changed my mind completely. It was my third (and very best!) trip to wine country. We loved Healdsburg and The Camellia Inn made the experience even better. The Inn itself is located 2 blocks from the charming town square which is filled with notable restaurants, shops and wineries. What sets it apart from the competition is the professional and dedicated work of the owners. We enjoyed our "history" lesson with Ray and Lucy's AMAZING cullinary treasures -- she brings new meaning to the word "breakfast!" Complete with a beautiful pool where wine is served at 5:30 sharp -- we couldn't have asked for anything more. Both Hubby & I agree "We'll be back!"

A fabulous B&B run by a lovely family. We stayed for 3 nights over a holiday weekend and the Inn could not have been more friendly or welcoming. Well appointed, comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast and afternoon wine all added to the experience. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Healdsburg is our go-to destination when we want a respite near home and we've tried several B&Bs over the past 20 years. We've stayed at Camellia Inn twice, and absolutely love it. Lucy, the innkeeper, is the perfect hostess and always makes us feel comfortable. The food and coffee are delicious. The proximity to Healdsburg Square can't be beat. This was the perfect spot for our Russian River wine experience. Lucy is very modest about her inn and her cooking abilities; they both are actually outstanding. We loved the relaxed atmosphere for her breakfast buffets; folks had a great time sharing their experiences from the day before and Lucy helped all of us a great deal in planning our day and offering tips and vouchers for winery tastings. She really knows the area. Enjoyable wine and cheeses around the pool in the late afternoon/evening, too. Right in town, it was a joy to walk to dinner and take in the small-town atmosphere of Healdsburg. (We just wish we had been there on a Tues. night to take in the music in the park.) We booked the smaller room with the bathroom down the hall (for our use only, not shared). The room was absolutely perfect for two; a great way to save a some money. And the window air conditioner was a godsend on our stay; it was 95 degrees both days. We recommend Camellia Inn without hesitation. (and Lucy, thanks for all the Jelly Belly candies; I certainly had my share...)

I just stayed 6 nights at Camellia Inn. It is in a residential setting, only 1.5 blocks from restaurants, shops and the main downtown part of Healdsburg. The rooms and photos on the web site are very accurate. There is nice pool in the rear of the house with several tables and chairs. The best assets that Camilla Inn have is Lucy and Archie. They have been doing this a long time, and know the perfect balance of being there when you need them and letting you feel like it is your home away from home. Their advice on restaurants and everything else was accurate, and exactly what I was looking for. It was so wonderful to come back from a long day and have their wonderful wine and cheese set out for us. It was nice to sit out by the pool, have some wine and talk with the other guests. Camellia Inn is a great value. Naturally I will stay there on my next visit.

The inn is within walking distance of the town square, but the immediate neighborhood is very quiet--which was great for a good night's rest. The house itself is delightful, especially if you're interested in historic architecture. And the breakfast did exceed expectations! It offers a little bit of everything and was very good. I would definitely go back for another stay.

We stayed at one of the Inn's two-bedroom apartments right off the main square in Healdsburg (only a few blocks from the Inn). The location was fantastic--the apartment is accessed by an unassuming door right next to a French bakery, which meant it was only steps from all there is to do downtown. Once inside, it was completely private and felt like a true home-away-from-home, with all of the conveniences you could need (full kitchen, well-sized and appointed bedrooms, great living room area with board games, DVDs, etc.). We found the rates to be a great value and probably one of the best deals for downtown Healdsburg. We intend to go back again in the next few months!

Outstanding host/owner Lucy makes everyone feel welcome. The rooms are first rate and the location means you can walk to everything you need to get to. And the biking in the area is the some of the best we have ever done. We rented bikes from Wine Country Bikes and they set us up with self guided tours that were the best.

First of all, we loved having you and your family with us. Our rates are based on the amenities in the rooms, ie. whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, etc. Your sister was booked into our whirlpool tub queen room which was originally the home's kitchen in 1869! We actually upgraded you to a larger queen that we most recently had put a whirlpool tub in. We always try to upgrade a group's organizer if we can (hint to those of you that love to work on a trip's details). Healdsburg is an expensive destination (like most of the wine country) and we try to keep our rates moderate for the area. Thanks for the feedback - it always helps us to be on our toes!

We had a wonderful stay at the Camellia Inn. We stayed in the "budget room", because as you can probably imagine, we were on a budget. It exceeded our needs in so many ways. The room was bright & sunny. On the small side & the bathroom is large but down a short hallway. To our surprise it honestly did not impact our stay in a negative away at all. The Inn itself is beautiful and very large-lots of sitting areas to spread out in if needed. There's a TV room & free wireless. Walking distance to beautiful downtown Healdsburg where there are countless delicious restaurant options. Lucy was wonderful-so helpful with planning our days filled with wine tastings, biking & dining. We loved the delicious breakfasts she created each morning, as well as the wine and cheese hour after a fun day out in the vineyards and the town. It was very clean (and I'm a clean nut). The bed sheets were so soft and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this Inn to someone else and hope to return in the near future!

We loved having you with us! For years we talked about turning the Demitasse room (budget room) into a spacious bath for the queen room next door. Healdsburg has just gotten so expensive that we decided to keep the room at a very reasonable price ($139, even the motels are more). This allows guests who are on a tight budget or those visitors that prefer to spend their $$ on wine or dinner to still have a room walking distance to the plaza. Yes the room is small but most people are out touring all day and enjoy the value the budget room provides. Hope to have you and your husband back again soon.

The picture doesn't do this old Inn justice, the grounds and interior are beautiful and full of memories. Guests were happy and many returnees. Easy place to stay, so close to the plaza, yet quiet.

I strongly recommend the Camellia Inn, which is charming and just two blocks from everything you need in town.

This was a GREAT location for all things Healdsburg! The lodging was fine...really no issues but the furnishings are dated but comfortable. We would stay here again but would look to see if there is better first. Lucy was really nice and helpful. BTW we ate at Madrona Manor...WHAT A DINING EXPERIENCE! SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL. Spoonbar was just ok but SCOPA (I think that was the name...on the square) was REALLY great! Share the dishes and have fun!

We enjoyed our stay and the ease of walking to dinner and around town. The parking, refrigerator and maps were a nice touch.

I stayed at one of the downtown apartments, not in the Inn. The apartment was spacious and in a great location...just steps from everything on the square. It wasn't decorated as quaintly as the inn, but it was nice to have a kitchen to make coffee, store leftovers, etc. My one complaint is the beds were not very comfortable. Luckily I was getting a massage the next day, so that helped, but could not have slept there more than 2 nights. (My friends had the same complaint.)

My girlfriend and I recently spent two nights in Healdsburg at the Camellia Inn. The place was perfect because of its easy walk to the restaurants and bars downtown and it's proximity to the Russian River and Dry Creek vineyards. But the best part of the stay was Lucy, the innkeeper, who was super friendly, very knowledgeable about the surrounding vineyards and dining, and even helped us ship wine back to our home state. I would certainly recommend this inn.

The Inn is a block from the Square and within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops you'd need to visit while in Healdsburg. The Dining Room and other areas of the Inn are nicely decorated and maintained well. The Tower Room we stayed in was fantastic, nice decor and well-appointed bathroom - including a jetted two-person soaking tub. Fantastic!

My husband and I were referred to stay at Camellia during the Sonoma leg of our honeymoon, and we could not have been happier. It was our first B&B experience, and we enjoyed everything about it! The room and bathroom were fabulous - very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The innkeeper serves wine and cheese every evening at 5:30pm and a wonderful breakfast array every morning. We truly had an amazing experience, would recommend, and will more than likely stay at the inn again in the future!

We stayed in the Budget Room which was a great deal! The B&B was very nice and the owners are extremely friendly. We enjoyed the wine and cheese reception in the evening and the breakfast in the morning. Good experience and would recommend. The location is also very close to the quaint square of Healdsburg.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Inn. Even though I booked one of the smaller rooms in the inn, I never felt cramped or uncomfortable. The food at the inn was terrific and it's location made it easy to walk to all of the shops and restaurants in Healdsburg. I will definitely stay there the next time I visit wine country.

I came to spend the weekend at the Camelia Inn with my best friend for a girl's wine weekend and chose the Camelia Inn. What a great decision! The room was very comfortable with a private bathroom and a nice view. Lucy, the owner, was quite welcoming and propared a delicious breakfast each morning with both hot and cold options. She was also really knowledgable about the area and surrounding wineries and even provided us with a few free-tasting passes. Located just two blocks from the main square it was very easy to walk to local shops and restaurants. The inn does has a great looking pool even though we did not use it; January isn't swimming weather in Healdsburg.

Lucy and Archie went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I appreciate the extra time they took to assist me, especially as a solo traveler. I'd recommend this charming inn to my friends and family!

Camellia Inn is a fantastic B&B with exceptionally friendly service and charming accommodations. My boyfriend and I went during December and despite chilly, somewhat rainy weather, we had a wonderful time largely due to Lucy's awesome establishment and her friendly staff. Camellia Inn is quaint and friendly and within walking distance of "town" which is perfect when you're really taking advantage of all the delicious wines. Highly recommend!

We had stayed at the Camellia Inn many years ago and it was a joy to return! We loved the room, service and wonderful breakfast.

My husband and I just spent a wonderful weekend at The Camellia Inn. The home itself is an intact home from the Victorian era that is completely decorated with antiques and art from that period. They served tea and cookies, wine and cheese in the large inviting drawing room. The breakfast was delicious. Especially appreciated was the room upgrade that they offered us with no extra charge, which they said they always do when available, and the warm conversation and guidance about the area and restaurants. The hosts have a long history with the inn which shows. We lived in England for many years and this was just like being in the English (or Scottish!) countryside. We can't wait to go back!

This is the second stay we had and it was better than the first. We will definitely make this an annual vacation.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Wine Country. We had spent our honeymoon in Healdsburgh at an outstanding B&B but this time we wanted to be within walking distance of the square. Camellia Inn has a fabulous location and we were able to walk to all restaurants, shops, etc. The inn is much more "rustic" than I had expected because I missed the fact that in-room TVs were NOT listed on the room features. We were just really surprised since we didn't see this noted anywhere on the website. Our room had a "fireplace" but it was really just a fake gas type heater looking thing, so that was disappointing. The jet tub was huge but we never used it. All in all, I would consider this an average place with above average location and breakfast. It is communal dining with no options to sit by yourselves, so if you aren't into that, I would find another place. There were many people at the Inn who obviously come back year after year. Maybe I was just spoiled with some of the other options in Healdsburgh.

Thanks so much for your comments! The downside to being in this business for 30 years is that sometimes we're a little slow on the latest trends - TV's in the rooms. We've considered this issue over and over in the last couple years. For now we've decided to upgrade our common television room and keep the guest rooms "unplugged" except for CD/MP3 players & WiFi. We have recently refreshed our web page and added some content indicating our TV free guest rooms. Our "gas fireplaces" are used for heat and do have flames but I can totally understand a desire for a wood burning effect. We are not allowed to burn wood within the city of Healdsburg but have nice wood fireplaces at our out of town cottages. For those folks who would prefer dining not at the communal table we are happy to provide trays for self-service that you can take to enjoy in your own room. I am so sorry you were disappointed with our inn. We try to keep our rates moderate for Healdsburg and luckily there are many nice places to stay in our town. We want our guests to be happy and comfortable so we apologize that we weren't able to meet your needs. Thanks for trying us and for your constructive feedback. We can always be better!

Came in a couple of days early for the Russian River wine event. Always like Healdsburg. Decided to try the Camellia Inn and was very pleased with the accommodations. The room was comfortable and breakfast was great. Also very convenient to town.

Camellia Inn, while quite pricey does have a great location. It's an old house on beautiful grounds with a pool. The king rooms were well located for us--two couples traveling together as they were located upstairs separately from the rest of the rooms. Breakfast was good and the owner gave good directions to the wineries and restaurants. If you love bed and breakfasts, this is an ideal getaway spot when in Healdsburg, but it is quite pricey.

Our stay at the Camellia Inn was the perfect weekend getaway. The room was attractive, spotless and well stocked. Lots of thoughtful touches like freshly baked cookies and cofee/tea available any time. Breakfast was much more than toast and coffee and the company of the other guests truly enjoyable. It was our first visit but it won't be our last.

The property and the innkeeper could not hve been nicer. Also served a nice breakfast and the property was a short walk to the town square.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Inn and used it as our home base for exploring the wineries in the Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Alexander Valley. Lucy was a fantastic hostess and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the wine and cheese parties around the pool each evening and the fantastic breakfasts! Our room was very comforatable and clean. We are already planning our return trip to the area and will definitely visit Lucy and her team again!

We rented the cottage near the Russian River...about 5 mins from downtown. We loved it! The beds were comfy and I was in the hot tub every night! The robes were a nice touch and everything was very clean. (less clorine in the hot tub would be advisable).

The Innkeeper is simply amazing. The place is spotless, of an easy going pace, the breakfast is delious, hearty and pretty darn healthy! Lucy has an amazing knowledge of the area and is very willing to share and help you plan an amazing stay while in her care! Highly recommend!!!

Owners Lucy & Archie couldn't do more for us. Their Inn is simply charming. Food and service outstanding. Since we were from out of state they both had great tips for us to explore the area. They offer some fantastic connections and recommendations for tours and nearby retaurants &wineries. They also made several reservations for dinner and tours. Every summer my sister and I escape to the Camellia Inn and this is our 3rd year. Lucy and staff are wonderful, the breakfasts are the best, located a block from the square, the best pool in town and we always meet the nicest people staying there as well. Highly recommend it!

After a business trip my husband and I met in San Francisco and headed north to Russian River wine country. Camellia Inn in Healdsburg is ideally located for venturing out to the Alexander and Russian River valleys or for staying put and enjoying the Healdsburg offerings. Our accommodations were great and Lucy and staff made sure that we had everything we needed. they had good suggestions for local offerings and even assisted with our Friday night dinner reservations at a local restaurant that was within walking distance of the Inn. The fact that they reached out a few days before we arrived to see if we needed reservations was especially thoughtful and it ensured our ability to get into the restaurant of our choice. Breakfast was delicious with something for every taste; the fresh baked bread and croissants were outstanding. We will definitely stay at Camellia when we travel this way again.

We spent a wonderful two nights. The Inn is on a quiet street but just two short blocks to the Healdsburg Plaza, the hub or shopping, restaurants, etc. A surprising plus was how much we enjoyed talking to other guests from around the U.S. and abroad at breakfast and for wine before dinner.
