We just completed our second stay here. The rooms are cozy, private and very relaxing. We stayed in the Carriage House this time and found it to be spectacular and could have stayed a month. The location is perfect, close to Healdsburg, but far enough out of town and off the main road where it is very quiet. This is what you want in a B&B...peace, quiet, relaxation, great rooms and wonderful hosts.

Our cottage was comfortable and the hosts were very gracious and helpful. We felt that we were removed from the noise of downtown Healdsburg and appreciated the quiet surroundings and lovely gardens. Good bed with duvet, refridge and fresh flowers in the room were a welcome touch. We were happy to return to our quiet haven at the end of a long day of wine tasting. What a delightful visit we had. 3 couples, 3 roomy and comfortable cottage suites, bottle of wine to greet us, lovely breakfasts. Brenda even accomodated my gluten-free diet which was so helpful. One of the nicest B&Bs we've been to in this price-range. Brenda and Tom are friendly and helpful and their property is lovely.

Wow- we have now been to Belle de Jour for 10 consecutive years. Tom and Brenda make us feel like family as they do every guest. From breakfasts to resteraunt reservations, ideas for day trips, wineries to visit, or any other requests- your wish is accomodated.

Not our first stay nor will it be our last. A vine covered cottage with fablous breakfast - just right for a day samplying the wonderful wines in the neighborhood. Come, stay, relax and enjoy a little heaven on earth.

Tom & Brenda are wonderful hosts, with an abundance of excellent advice for experiencing the area. Located near the wine districts of Alexander Valley, Dry Creek, and the Russian River valley, their inn provides easy access for touring the excellent local wineries. The rooms are wonderfully decorated, and the breakfasts are elegant and healthy. Need a dinner reservation or a contact in the area, no problem, just ask your hosts. Highly recommended for a relaxing visit to a beautiful area.

My husband and I stay every year in August in the Atelier cottage. The property is very private with mature landscaping. The cottages and carriage house are very private as well as comfortable and the experience of staying at this property is very peaceful. The inn is just minutes away from downtown Healdsburg and within easy driving distance of any number of wineries. Tom and Brenda will make reservations for you or recommend a winery or two to visit. For the money and the setup, there isn't any comparison in Healdsburg or the outlying areas. We just haven't found anything as nice.

I spent a lovely 3 days at the Belle de Jour for a weekend getaway. The owners, Tom and Brenda are naturally personable and very knowledgeable of the area. They provided tips and recommendations on places to visit, both wineries and restautants. The accommodations are wonderful. The cottages quaint, clean and equipped with all the amenities one could want. The location is great...not too far from town but far enough for privacy and quietness. Brenda made her award winning apricot scones that are by far the best I've ever tasted. I really enjoyed my stay. This little gem is definitely worth revisiting.

Tom & Brenda Hearn are wonderful hosts. The views from all areas of their property take your breath away, and the "solitued" is luscious. Spectacular breakfast. Great tips about dining & wine-ing the entire area. A must-return site.

We have been going to Healdsburg for the last 20 years and stayed at every Inn. We found Belle de Jour apx. 10 years ago and won't go anywear else! We do look at other Inn from time to time but for us this is it. Marvelous location, WONDERFUL Inn keepers, lovely accommodations and not in the hart of town. Truly the best of all worlds!!

we just got back from our 20th year stay at Belle de jour...it is just as terrific as the 1st year we went...The food is plentiful and the atmosphere delightful. the owners are friendly and professional, always nearby if you need anything or out of sight if you want privacy. the rooms are elegant and clean and i am trying to copy the country feel in my own home. the grounds are delightful to walk anytime of day and so beautifully maintained. Roses in profussion. there doesnt seem to be enough adjectives to discribe our stay, other than wonderful, wonderful

My husband and I are always a bit concerned about privacy in a B & B. Belle De Jour Inn was quiet, beautiful, peaceful and very private. The roses were in full bloom as well as other beautiful perennials. Great place!

Tom and Brenda are the perfect hosts, and have built charming cottages that combine a sense of privacy with the most up to date amenities. The grounds are beautiful, the location has a country feel but is minutes from downtown Healdsburg and the numerous wineries of the Russian River area. I recommend this property without reservation.

We just returned from our 2nd visit to Belle De Jour this summer. The rooms are charming, the grounds are beautiful, the hosts, Tom and Brenda are so warm and friendly and know the area so well. They helped with dinner reservations and winery suggestions. The location is perfect for exploring Healdsburg and the surrounding wineries. A great alternative to Napa. The Belle De Jour is a real Gem. We hope to make it an annual tradition.

Of all the bed and breakfasts I have ever stayed at--this one ranks far supreme. Tom and Brenda both share an intricate knowledge and love for Healdsburg--and this immediately shines through to their guests, and immediately sets the tone. Without being in any way overbearing, they remain perfectly accessible and offer brilliant guidance regarding day trips, navigating the area, and dining suggestions. Speaking of dining--Brenda's culinary aptitude steers the morning breakfasts, and leaves you happily wondering about the next morning's possibilities. Delicious and creative entrees such as baked chili-cheese quiche, or brie cheese and pear tart, are served alongside flaky homemade scones and freshly sliced fruits--all artfully presented. Prior to even arriving there, I received a welcoming email offering help with dining reservations--little touches like that (as well as the complimentary bottle of wine presented to us as we checked in), just set the stage for the amazing experience that further awaited us. My husband and I stayed four nights in the Carriage House (pictured)--which I selected based on viewing pictures online. It just completely charmed us and exceeded our expectations--with its decor, sheer size, comfort, and breathtaking views out its many windows. It was rustic, contemporary and completely elegant, all at the same time. One of the things I liked the most was how peaceful and tranquil it was at night--perfect after a long day of exploring. Time seems to stand still there-as little birds chirp happily amidst the tall sunflowers, or you spot a little bunny or fawn moving about their expansive and lush property. The care Tom and Brenda put into this oasis is very evident, and it leaves you the guest with just one job--to just enjoy it all! My husband and I both have the fondest memories of our stay, and we look forward to our next visit. I highly recommend it to any discerning traveler.

Sitting outside among the trees and flowers, watching hummingbirds while sipping wine—a truly relaxing and beautiful place to be. The room was just as the picture showed and exceedingly comfortable. The help with dinner reservations and guidance on daytrips was invaluable and right on target. Just laying in bed look out through the lace at the lemon tree in late afernoon light was heaven. This is the perfect getaway.
