Cypress Inn On Miramar Beach

Having the ocean right outside the window is wonderful, even on foggy days. The sound of the surf & the refreshing smell refreshes. The rooms are comfortable & homey. Breakfast brought to the room is much appreciated as we are not very sociable in the mornings.

Excellent Service, good food, even available "after hours" if going to be late. Rooms always clean and tidy. Always willing to try to accommodate needs.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the evening wine and appetizers very much. Also, breakfast was never late and was always hot and delicious!

We loved the size of the rooms, the big oversized bathtub for two, the flat screen tv and the view of the ocean. The best part: The service was amazing!!!

Such a wonderful inn! Our room was everything we could have hoped for. Breakfasts were lovely and cocktail hour was a nice bonus. Best of all, though, was the location.

I've had the pleasure of staying in some great B&B's up and down the CA coast. This one has a super location and great ocean view (which did cost a bit more), but that was about it. It lacked the character that many other B&Bs have. The staff was polite but didn't really go out of their way. The bathroom was clean, but the tub was small and there was a lingering smell when we arrived which required febrezing. Overall it was ok, but not a great value in my book. When next in 1/2moonbay, we will be looking to stay elsewhere.

The staff is very helpful. The food is excellent and wine too. I like the calm feel when walking in the main house to check in.

Love the location and that you can walk to dinner and along the beach trail.

We recieved a gift certificate for a Wedding gift from a friend at BedandBreakfast.com last July. I asked my husband if he could find something on their list for our first Wedding Anniversary getaway this July, and he surprised me with this place. When we first arrived I was very pleased. We were steps from the Miramar Beach. It felt very warm and homey, unlike a regular boring hotel. When we both walked into our room and stepped out onto the patio, looking right at the beach from the second floor, I had tears fall from my eyes because I was so happy my husband surprised me with such a warm and cozy place to stay for the weekend. The staff left a "Happy Anniversary" card on the center of our bed and I thought that was such a personal gesture to us. It made me feel welcome and they put thought into our stay. What I loved is that they supply their guests with eco-friendly toiletry and Organic/Natural lotions, shampoo, conditioner, and body soaps. They have self serve coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, placed out for most of the day. They also provide self serve snacks in the day time. You have the option of breakfast served to your room at no additional cost, or walk down and enjoy their self serve buffet style breakfast. Their breakfast is really good and freshly made! May I add there was no extra charge for the snacks, drinks, or breakfast. All of the staff seemed very nice and assertive all of the time. The service was perfect! It was so convenient for us to walk a few blocks down to the Miramar Beach front Restaurant for our amazing Anniversary dinner. Overall, we had a very relaxing stay and you can't beat having the ocean views from your room. We will definitely be back for years to come. Thanks to my husband to have found a home away from home for us in nearby Half Moon Bay, CA.

Best value we have ever experienced. We have been staying here for over 10 years (15?). We stay here 2 times a year. Most rooms are ocean front (across dirt road from the ocean). Friendly service. 18 rooms in 3 buildings. Hot breakfast, wonderful music, fireplace, comfortable bedding and ambiance.

We highly recommend staying at the Cypress Inn. Our ocean view room overlooked HMB, and the sunnny surf. Bike trails all over, beach access. The Inn itself exceeded all of our expectations. Wonderful, helpful staff, room privacy, wine flowing with cheese and horderves, yummy dessert, full breakfast, outstanding!!! We loved it and cannot wait to come back. One night felt like a weeks vacation! :-) Thanks Jack!!!

Cypress Inn has lovely ocean view off a balcony, gas fireplace, down comforters, and great service. Wine and nice food from 5-7 and dessert from 7 to 9. Breakfast is good and can be delivered to room.....a really pleasant, relaxing stay!

This Inn advertised well but wasn't as well up-kept as we expected. Toilet that wouldn't always flush, dirty carpets, touchups in paint were needed, lights that were burned out or inoperable. The biggest let down was the dirty deck table and chairs that hadn't been cleaned in quite awhile although this room (Dunes Beach) was touted as the best room with a large deck. Pluses were the daily breakfast delivery, and amenities such as wine and cheese, and dessert in the evenings. There is also a lovely walking beach right out front. All in all we probably would not choose this Inn a second time but it was OK for a three day weekend.

Great location on a nice beach. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. Nice view from our room (point sur) but somewhat restricted. If you want a spectatcular view get the ocean front. We bought the romance package which was a good deal. Although they forgot to have the champagne and truffles upon arrival, no sweat. Breakfast was average.

I have stayed here several times when I just feel the need to get away from my kids! It is perfect for spending meditative time. I am familiar with several rooms including the Maverick Suite which is just gorgeous. I managed to reserve the Maverick for half price and it was well worth it just for the sound of waves all night. The inn keeper is so sweet also. He offered (and I accepted) to upgrade my room more than once during the slow season (winter). All in all it has been wonderful to visit this Inn and I will be returning soon!

I planned a last minute beach get away and was thrilled with my selection. Although there were a few quirks about the Naples room where I stayed the service and location were excellent. Given the free wifi access that was not expected, I overlooked the fact that the "in room stereo system" was an old car cassette player. I would have preferred to have screens for the windows which I kept open during my stay; but, overall the sevice and the location were great.

When we arrived, check-in was a breeze (even though we were an hour and a half early, the room was ready). We were out most of the day, but the wine and cheese was nice in the early evening, then we went to dinner and came back for a little more wine. Couldn't find anyone at that point to refresh the tray of brownies, but another guest showed us where there were more!! Breakfast in the morning was lovely, and super-fast check out. I regret it was too warm to use the fireplace.

Most recently, we stayed in the annex across the street. Fine room, fine amenities. Great location on the water.
