Stayed two nights at the Groveland Hotel using a Living Social Voucher. We enjoyed our stay for the most part, with a few small exceptions. The Groveland bills itself as a Yosemite B&B, but the actual park entrance is a 30 minute drive, and once in the park you'll go about another 30 minutes to reach the main parking area. If you approach the area from anywhere in the east, you'll want to make sure the Tioga Pass Rd. isn't snowed under. We just missed our weather window and had to make a much longer drive due to the snow conditions in the park. The hotel itself is a genuinely old building, and as such has very thin walls, only an issue if you are a light sleeper. Food at the hotel was fantastic, the waiting staff courteous and professional. Other dining options are a really good Mexican place just down the street. Rooms in the hotel are slightly smaller than they look on the website videos, but all have unique charm and flavor. Free Wifi at the hotel was flaky, sometimes working and sometimes not, and be aware that most cell phones will have limited coverage due to the remote location. Overall a nice place to stay.

We had a fabulous stay at the Groveland Hotel. Everything was perfect, from the location, hotel accomdations, food and friendly staff. Also, it is so close to Yosemite, in half an hour one can be entering the Park. Most definetly would tell all my friends about it.
Nice people - okay property

The staff was great - very friendly. My husband and I stayed here with our LivingSocial deal Nov 3-5th 2011. Rooms are small but that was fine (it is an old property), they had what we needed. For the most part they were clean where it mattered (bathroom/bed/floor). Bed was comfy (we stayed in the sierra...#2). Breakfast buffet was good. The dinner was average (we both had steaks and mine was charred a little and fatty - just dealt with it!). I wouldn't have been happy to pay full price for the dinner - and since I didn't, I was fine. If they would just have a maintenance person or anyone...go around and clean the throw pillow covers, comforter, window shades, outside chairs, railings, windows...just keep up with it and make it look clean everywhere then it would stand to do very well. I just don't like to see stains or watermarks, bird poop...where it can be easily cleaned. We did enjoy the property's upstairs fireplace (electric but cozy) and played a game, and overall the place is nice and clean. Again, the staff was all very nice, friendly and upbeat and no issue at all. I just don't know why someone would not want to keep the place up...it could be a great and wonderful place instead of just nice and okay. Just needs some loving!

We stayed two nights at the Groveland in Charlie's Room. The room is a little small but we liked the quaint feel to the room with the old furniture and fixtures. Service was excellent and the breakfast was pretty good.
