Tucked into the Sonoma Valley hamlet of Glen Ellen, the Gaige House feels like a secret hideaway. Of course, it’s not really a secret; the Gaige House is regularly recommended in Michelin and other guides, and has been listed repeatedly in Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List of the top hotels in the world. An elegant blend of vintage and contemporary, the inn features 23 thoughtfully appointed guestrooms with a modern, Asian flair. The verdant, secluded setting along Calbaza Creek includes an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, and is accented with delightful surprises in hidden spots: a hammock shaded with ancient oaks, a miniature pagoda in a rock garden, a gurgling fountain. After a day of visiting nearby wineries, boutiques and art galleries, return to the Gaige House to indulge in luxurious spa services provided either in-room, or outdoors in a peaceful and private cabana. All guests enjoy a complimentary, full breakfast every morning, and an evening wine and cheese reception. An excellent choice for a honeymoon or romantic Wine Country escape, the Gaige House is also ideal for small meetings and special events.

Great place to stay, the Zen Suite was wonderful. Great tasting breakfast with a good variety of choices. Great dinner dining just a short walk to the south. Homemade cookies daily, yum!!!

Loved the Gaige House! The breakfast was the best I've ever had at any B&B! Clean rooms, comfy bed, beautiful and relaxing setting, wonderful service, and very reasonably priced. I don't think it's possible to be disappointed here. I cant wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. Our creek side room was very spacious and comfortable, with a private patio that faced the creek. Breakfast was amazing and the wine and cheese provided every night was a nice touch. The town of Glen Ellen had several wonderful restaurants so we never needed to travel far for dinner. Would highly recommend this Inn for a romantic wine country trip.

the hotel was nice. I wish the sheets and towels had been cozier. and the lighting situation was awkward. a lot of reading lamps, but nothing to overall brighten the room. but those are nitpicky things............ glen ellen is cool.

Our stay here was very pleasant. We were in one of the rooms outside of the main building. Our room was very peaceful, and quiet. We had a lovely patio to sit outside at, and our room was spacious and well appointed with a double shower, huge granite tub, and double sinks in the bathroom. The food here is quite delicious, and the daily cookie tray is full of delights! We met a delightful winery owner at one of the evening tastings. The Inn is near several restaurants, but the walk is not user friendly in some areas as the road is narrow and there is a deep ditch next to the roadway. Staff at the Inn are wonderful, Ruth was especially helpful to us, and she has a wealth of knowledge of the area! We attended the Sonoma Music Festival and the Inn was not located far from the location of the festival.

The Gaige House exceeded my expectations and was a really cute place to stay fairly close to wine country. The breakfast was outstanding. If I had to critique something about the property it would be that the pool needed to be cleaned more. Overall I would recommend the Gaige House.

A great place to relax and restore where the staff really care. Clean neat excellent bedding. Breakfast is a treat. Fresh made and tasteful. Evening wine and cheese also a nice add. Run to a 4 Sisters hotel.

This hotel is out a bit from the touristy stuff of Napa but in no way is that a bad thing. The accommodations are beautifully maintained and appointed. Breakfast is homey, simple but absolutely delicious and done with great care (bread baked on site, fresh ingredients). We will definitely be returning to the Gaige House on our future trips to wine country. If you had to pick just one local winery go to Chateau St. Jean and ask for Tim, he does the Chateau tastings and takes wine knowledge and service to the highest level. The absolute best.
