Tucked into the Sonoma Valley hamlet of Glen Ellen, the Gaige House feels like a secret hideaway. Of course, it’s not really a secret; the Gaige House is regularly recommended in Michelin and other guides, and has been listed repeatedly in Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List of the top hotels in the world. An elegant blend of vintage and contemporary, the inn features 23 thoughtfully appointed guestrooms with a modern, Asian flair. The verdant, secluded setting along Calbaza Creek includes an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, and is accented with delightful surprises in hidden spots: a hammock shaded with ancient oaks, a miniature pagoda in a rock garden, a gurgling fountain. After a day of visiting nearby wineries, boutiques and art galleries, return to the Gaige House to indulge in luxurious spa services provided either in-room, or outdoors in a peaceful and private cabana. All guests enjoy a complimentary, full breakfast every morning, and an evening wine and cheese reception. An excellent choice for a honeymoon or romantic Wine Country escape, the Gaige House is also ideal for small meetings and special events.

The Gaige House was a great deal for us. Wish we had more time there. The employees were helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. The room was excellent. the bed was comfortable, the bath luxurious. The breakfast was quite nice and healthy. I particularly liked the fact that they had cookies out for most of the day, along with coffee, tea, and water. My only complaint, and it was trivial, at least to me, was that the pillows were to soft, small. But that won't stop me from returning or recommending. ENJOY!

I recently traveled to the Sonoma / Napa valley with my mother and we both agreed that the Gaige House was the highlight of our trip. It's a lovely inn with very friendly staff. We spent three nights at the Gaige resort and really enjoyed the social aspect of it. Every day there's a wine and cheese reception from 5 to 6pm where guests can chat and share experiences, tips on which wineries to visit, etc. We looked forward to it every day! The breakfast is also delicious. It offers both cold and warm dishes and something for everyone. The only problem is that the food is so good that you tend to overeat! My recommendation would be to splurge on a larger suite at the back of the inn. We were initially given a room in the front part of the main building. Those rooms are meters away from the main road and although there isn't much traffic during the night, it is not desirable for light sleepers. They happily transferred us to a suite located in a separate building further away from the road. A larger room with wet bar, huge bathroom, small garden at the back, etc.Very quiet and private. A great stay!

My first experience at The Gaige House was a memorable one. Only stayed one night but it was one of the best nights of my life. Great room (Zen Garden Suite), great service. One of the best places I've ever stayed hands down! Can't wait to experience The Gaige House again.

This was an amazing B&B. Breakfast is fantastic. I rented the Zen Creek room, well worth the extra money. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very nice setting and lovely room, but quite pricey for what you get. Worth the expense for a special occasion.
