We had a wonderful time at The Country Inn. From the lovely and marvelously clean room, to the evening snacks and wine on Saturday, and the fabulous breakfasts, we enjoyed our weekend in Fort Bragg. We were even able to walk to The Skunk Train and dinner at two different restaurants just a few blocks from the inn. Christine and Kathy do a fabulous job of taking care of you!

My partner and I had a very peaceful and pleasant stay here. The hostess was very attentive, the lemon bars were perfect and the stuff french toast with fresh peaches and salted Carmel sauce was amazing. Our room, the Harvest moon room, was charming and very clean.

I found the house itself to be a little run down, our shower leaked and the whole in itself was in need of repair. The quality of the INN vs the price paid I believe was not proportionate. The service was good and the breakfast were good.
I'm very sorry that you had a negative experience here. as you can see from our reviews, the majority of our guests enjoy their stay and the value they receive here. I'm always a bit saddened when someone feels the need to down grade our rating on something like a drippy shower when they gave us no chance to fix the issue when they were here. After all, we can't fix an issue we don't know exists and a house built in 1890 has "fix-it issues" daily, and we deal with them promptly when notified. We purchased the Inn less than 2 years ago and have put over $200,000 into improving it. Which I think shows. Yes, there is still more to do, but I think we provide a first class experience and a 5 star breakfast on a budget rate for the Mendocino coast.
