Atrium, A Garden Inn By The Sea

We enjoyed a very comfortable night and were warmly welcomed at The Atrium.

When I think of a BnB, the Atrium is what I expect. Nice rooms, good location, and wonderful hosts. Add in the great food to start the day and the friendliest dog ever, plus the great garden space to relax, how can you go wrong. The Atrium is close to glass beach. The majority of Fort Bragg is walking distance. Gail gave great recommendations for eating out and touring (plus fresh baked cookies!). We got a chance to look at the other rooms and all were very nice. The first night was full occupancy yet the silence would have suggested otherwise. Really nice to take a trip and instead of ending up at a crappy hotel chain we got a place that felt like visiting the relative you love to see. Wish all places could be like this!

I love B&B's and usually am a very demanding guest. My experience at the Atrium was so good that it will now be the yard stick by which I judge all others! I mean it, from the welcoming enthusiasm of the owners (Gail and Mary were not only very pleasant, but also extremely helpful) to the beautiful and tastefully decorated rooms and common areas, is as of now simply THE BEST B&B I have stayed in to date! I would normally expect to pay a steep premium for this level of quality and experience, at the Atrium I was delight to have it all and at a very low price! WOW! "How do you do it girls?" All of the above and I have not even mentioned the to die for breakfast! But I don't want to sound like an advertisement so, I say "Try it, You will NOT be disappointed"!

Nothing personal, but I don't really feel comfortable in B&Bs. I always feel like a guest in a stranger's home. I prefer anonymity. So this stay was pretty much what I expected. I WANT to like them, but... There was nothing wrong about it...perfectly nice place with a good breakfast and a very pretty little garden. But it's a relationship that just won't work....it's me, not you. Oh, there was one thing I didn't like. I HATE people coming into my room when I am gone and when I don't expect it. In hotels/motels I can lock them out with a do not disturb sign. Wasn't given that option and disconcerted to return to find it had been entered. I can make my own bed and use a towel more than once. I don't like people coming in...period.

Gorgeous unusual weather, lovely host, excellent breakfast, and eclectic guests at the breakfast table (talked for hours - garnered BnB for our future stay in Italy....from Italians eating breakfast with us). Used the room gas fireplace....the Atrium was superb!

We stayed at Atrium just one night in February without any planned reservation. We had started our trip from San Francisco up the west coast and nightfall surprised us at Fort Bragg. We luckily found Atrium B&B and we stayed at the buttercup room. Gail, the innkeeper, cheerfully welcomed us in spite of being Superbowl night and made us instantly feel at home. The room to our surprise was bigger than it appeared in the pictures. It was clean and tastefully decorated as we would expect from a small town. Electronics in the room were not state of the art but we did have wi-fi which helped us plan the next stage of our trip. In the morning, Gail prepared a fantastic breakfast that included a wide variety of teas, coffee and a delicious french toast with bacon strips. We really enjoyed staying at Atrium and the only thing I regret wasn't staying for a couple of days to enjoy the garden and explore more of the town. We would love to return to Fort Bragg and would definitely stay at Atrium as we found it to be a quaint, charming quality option. I highly recommend it even for families.

We stayed 2 nights at the Atrium and had a great time. The B&B was very comfortable and the bed was so comfy. It was our first time to Fort Bragg and loved walking the town from the B&B. Thank you Gail and Mary for a great stay.

Innkeeper very very helpful, rooms delightful, and food delicious! Highly recommend this B & B to others.

Mary & Gail were there to meet us with freshly baked cookies and a glass of wine when we checked in. Sitting in their garden atrium and relaxing after our full day of driving and sightseeing was so nice. They were very helpful in finding a restaurant for us and giving us other info to see and do during our stay. We loved their dog! The area was lovely and we would definitely stay here again.

My friend took me here before. Such a comfy and nice place. Close to everything and a nice staff. If you need a place to stay with a home away from home feeling.... this place is it!

The Atrium is a perfect getaway for a weekend to a week or so. Located within walking distance of the sea, this quaint Ft Bragg Victorian is pleasantly comfortable and exceptionally clean and well run. Your hosts, Gail and Mary, assure your comfort and treat you with hearty full breakfasts from their large selection of tasty recipes. Rooms are larger than they appear in website photos. An atrium sitting area is comfortable summer and winter. We will be going back again.

Although we stayed for only a night, we have enjoyed our stay very much at Atrium, A Garden Inn by The Sea in Fort Bragg first weekend of October. Stayed in The Quilt Room, bed is too soft to our taste. Other than that, Mary and Gail are wonderful and their dog is a nice welcome!

Nice location. Extremely hospitable owner who helped us with many things when everything was closed on Thanksgiving. The buttercup room was smaller than my expectation but a cozy one. The house is well maintained.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this inn. Wonderful hostess, beautiful room, and very close to the beach and downtown.

Superb welcome from the owner and her well behaved dog. Great location for exploring Fort Bragg and Highway 1. We stayed 3 nights - not enough.

We spent one night at the Attrium and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a clean, friendly and hospitable place to stay. Rooms are well maintained; nice breakfast; also between 5 and 7 pm wine and cookies are served. Innkeeper, Gail, is very friendly and helpfull, and has a great sence of humor

My husband and I spent just one night at the Atrium but it was by far the highlight of our trip to Northern California. The innkeepers are sweet and accomodating to all your needs. Great cookies and drinks were waiting for us when we arrived as was a large stack of menus and welcomed advise for our evening restaurant choices. The Oasis room was beautifully decorated right down to the keychain! Clean beyond belief! Comfortable & extremely stylish bedding and mattress. We truly thought we were in the lap of luxury. The Atrium will be a destination for us again. Truly a great cost for such a beautiful place to stay and visit with other travellers. I greatly appreciated their Decaf refills : ) and their buffet style breakfast too. Very convenient and thoughtful to their guests!!!

We were pleasantly surprised at the accomodations at the Atrium. The room had modern ammenities and a wonderful personal touch to the decor. The breakfast was fantastic, good coffee. And the proprietor was very hospitable and knowledgable of the area. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed here on a weekend and we loved it! The room was outstanding; low noise level, wireless internet, and very comfortable. The breakfast was awesome. We loved the atrium and the innkeeper's cat and dog. The innkeepers were great people; friendly, welcoming and were knowledgeable about the area. We would highly recommend this inn to everyone!
