Tin Lizzie Inn at Yosemite

The Inn is every bit as quaint as it appears; has lovely rooms filled with antiques. David and Sheran are exceptional hosts who made our stay wonderful. The ride in the Model T was a highlight of the stay for me.

We stayed at the Tin Lizzie recently for 2 nights we enjoyed it immensely. The room, food and company exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family.

We stayed three nights at the Tin Lizzie in early September and were wowed by the friendliness of David and Sheran, the inn's lovely antique furnishings, and its cleanliness. David will even drive you to local (Fish Camp) restaurants for dinner in his Model A or Model T Fords! We felt pampered by our hosts and would have loved to stay longer at this first-class B&B. It sets a new standard that we will have to measure other inns by! J & J

Having just returned from 4 nights at The Tin Lizzie, I can't speak highly enough of the Inn, the delightful breakfasts, location and above all the unbeatable level of hospitality provided by both David and Sheran. They really set an unbeatable standard and should be proud of what they've achieved with this gorgeous property. We stayed in the Suite and it exceeded our expectations. After staying away frequently on business, it was refreshing to stay in 5 star surroundings with the feel of being 'at home'. We stayed at the Tin Lizzie during August 2011 and David and Sheran the hosts made one of the most enjoyable stays of our trip. This unique guest house is ideally situated for Yosemite and surrounding areas. The house itself was charming as were the hosts who also served a wonderful and varied breakfast each morning, especially given that I have gluten intolerance which did not appear to phase Sheran creating the most enjoyable food.W&J England

The quality of the accomodation was outstanding in all respects. David & Sheeran could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They gave us good information on the local attractions and sites, the trips in the Model T & Model A cars were fantastic and the breakfast each morning was something to look forward to. The Inn is beautiful, David and Sharon make you feel like family seeing to all of your needs, the location is amazing outside of Yosemite and the model T and Model A cars are so fun to drive.

Had a great weekend at the Tin Lizzie Inn. Nice to be outside Yosemite Valley but close enough to explore when you want. David and Sheron are great hosts and their home is beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious and the little unexpected treats of lucious desserts were a very special touch. Loved the ride in the Model T-highlight of our trip!

As I expected the accomodations were wonderful and the close proximity to Yosemite was very convenient. But what sets the Tin Lizzie Inn apart from other lodgings are the owners, David and Sheran Woodworth. They take a personal interest in all of their guests and do whatever they can to make sure your vacation is truly memorable. Whether you are or not, you will be treated like family. I would recommend the Tin Lizzie Inn to anyone who wants a vacation that they will remember for the rest of their lives. It has certainly been true for us.

We appreciated you going the extra mile. The house is amazing, it has everything you would want and more. The memory of the ride in the MODEL "T" car will last forever.

They just opened up a new addition to their Inn and it's fabulous! A 2 bedroom/2 full bath home. Our family just stayed there and had such a nice, cozy, time. We were able to cook in the full kitchen and BBQ downstairs. Just perfect for a family or two couples. Everything is upgraded and beautifully decorated. I will not stay anywhere else again! We got a ride in their Model T Ford too. So fun! David and Sheran are so hospitable and made our trip extra special. Thanks so much!

David and Sheran are kind, wonderful inn keepers who will attend to your every need. While we were very busy hiking and seeing the sights of Yosemite, they were always available to assist us and make out stay memorale. I would highly suggest this inn.

Our stay at the Tin Lizzie Inn Bed and Breakfast was wonderful, over and above any of our expectations. The host and hostess, David and Sheran are truly unbelievable genuine people treating you more like old friends instead of guests they have just met. The accomodations are spotless, detailed and beautiful, the food is excellent and the service is Royal. One of the highlights of our stay was the rental of a Tin Lizzie Ford touring car for our trip through Yosemite. An adventure of the past and the Best way to see the sights as there are no obstructions to block your view. It was surprisingly easy to drive and so much fun. They are well maintained and David makes sure you understand all aspects of the car before you venture out. We highly Recommend this Unique and Exciting experience. You will walk away with a greater sense of what your ancestors drove and a deeper appreciaton for Henry Ford. Our stay was Delightful, Over the Top. The Inn is just two miles outside the South entrance to Yosemite. From there, you can drive through the park, or take advantage of bus/tram service to see the sights (spectacular!). We stayed in the "cottage". This room has its own private entrance, a sitting room, and a mastersuite with private bath. Satellite TV and wireless access made it possible to get a little work done, too. Sheran and David are wonderful, personable hosts. They are attentive to detail, and happy to provide any assistance you'll need. Sheran makes a killer breakfast, and left afternoon snacks in our room every day. David took us on a tour in one of his Model T's, showed us the sights, and told some great stories. The morning we left, we found him outside cleaning our windshield! We really enjoyed our stay....I'm sure you will too!

We loved our stay at Tin Lizzie. It has a great location ... just outside the park and is closed to a number of good eats. We arrived quite late on our first night but David and Sheran were still up and made us feel welcome. They both made sure that we had everything we needed before we went to bed. The room we stayed in was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and I think we both fell asleep the moment our heads hit the pillow. There was a wide selection of DVDs that we could watch, the room was fully stocked with soda and water and each day Sheran had placed a delicious snacky treat in our rooms that we devoured as soon as we returned from our trip to Yosemite. We loved the food that was served for breakfast and the assistance both Dave and Sheran gave us in planning in our visit to Yosemite. We will definitely be staying at the Tin Lizzie again when we return to Yosemite. My husband and I just spent three nights at the Tin Lizzie. Sheron and David, the owners are the most wonderful hosts imaginable. The cottage was stunning...fireplace...cushy bathrobes....a dessert treat each night when we returned to our room. Breakfasts were elegant and delicious. (I asked for and received one of the recipes). The best thing..we were there during the NBA finals and were going out to dinner one night when the game was on We watched the first half and then had to leave. Sheron offered to tape the second half in her living room and told us to come in to watch when we returned. It was one of the most exciting games ever and we would have missed it. The Tin Lizzie exceeded our expectations on every level. David and Sheran are the most entertaining and dedicated hosts we have ever met. Every detail was delivered to perfection and the Model T ride made the Tin Lizzie a most memorable and magnificent destination discovery!

Our stay at the Tin Lizzie Inn was a fantastic memorable experience. The owners, David and Sheran, are truly what make this bed and breakfast exceptional. Their hospitality and charm made you feel like you were visiting old friends who are truly glad that you have come to visit. When we pulled up to the Inn David met us at the car to take our luggage before we even had time to open the car doors. The Inn is incredible with its antique furnishings, unique collections, and modern luxuries. Each morning began with a delicious full gourmet breakfast with extremely attentive service. What truly made this an experience we will never forget is that we toured Yosemite in one of David’s restored antique cars. The 1931 Model A Ford Cabriolet is similar to my Dad’s first car. For Dad to have an opportunity to drive a car similar to the one he had at 16 was a thrill we were privileged to share and so much fun. The views from the convertible were fantastic. David accompanied us in a 1929 Model A Roadster showing us the highlights of Yosemite Valley, providing us with history and details about our locations, showing us where to stop for the most magnificent views, and taking pictures of us that created memories that will last a lifetime. To make the experience complete Sheran baked cookies and served cold lemonade when we returned. We were truly sorry to have to leave our new friends and their fantastic Tin Lizzie Inn.

We visited the Tin Lizzie Inn this summer and found it to be the best B&B we have ever visited. Every element of our stay was wonderful and expressed such tremendous hospitality. We were pampered from start to finish, from a ride in their Model T car to the Tenaya Inn for dinner the first evening we arrived to incredible breakfasts and treats. We stayed in the cottage which was fabulously decorated yet still cozy and inviting. But as wonderful as the inn is, it is the innkeepers that made our stay extra special. David and Sheran were so warm and thoughtful – thanks to them, we felt welcomed like old family friends even though this was the first time we had ever met them. They are very interesting people – we found ourselves lingering over breakfast, enjoying talking with them. They express so much care in everything they do. We plan to recommend this inn to our friends.

I took my wife up to the Tin Lizzie the weekend after our wedding and was blown away. The pictures and reviews on here do not do it justice! The host and hostess were extremely friendly and greeted us at the door as promised! The model T ride as great and the they recommended and reserved great local food as well. With it being so close to Yosemite we were able to go there on Saturday and not have it take the whole day to get there! Highly recommended!

This is the best bed & breakfast I have been to in all of CA. The owners are the niceset people and make you feel so at home. The food is superb and the rooms have so much elegant detail. Driving a Model A or Model T car through Yosemite is also a one-of-a-kind experience!

Everything was class A. Will recommend to others and will stay again.

This place is just the best. We will be going back the next time we want a quiet luxurious getaway. Hospitality PLUS. Sheran and David make you feel like old friends while they pamper you in their lovely home. I can't recommend this place enough.

It was such a lovely place. The hosts were superb! The whole experience was just a joy! We want to go back, and the Model T ride was fun.

A perfect place for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation! felt we were sitting at the Queen's table! Elegant, at the same time homey! We'd go again.

I happened to stumble upon this place when I had to make a business trip to Yosemite. Arrived a bit after 7pm and the couple greeted me at my car. Very welcoming; felt like I was staying at a family friends house for the night. I stayed in the cottage and the details were so delightful. Fireplace, tv, sodas and snacks were displayed. I had a private entrance and could leave without intrusion to the main house. The bedding was very comfortable and the back patio was so peaceful. Wish I could have stayed longer! Breakfast was very nice and the stories told -wonderful. I will be back for my anniversay and will reccommend this b&b to everyone I know when visiting Yosemite. Also, super convenient - across the street from the Tenya Lodge (restaurants, shopping and spa).

The Tin Lizzy Inn surpassed our greatest expectations. Sharon and David's hospitality are unmatched. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and clean. I have very high standards but felt very comfortable. highly recommend this inn!

My husband and I enjoyed 2 days of pampering, and enjoyment driving around Yosemite in a Model A. The room accommedations were beautifully designed, very spacious, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast menu was very delicious and it held us until dinner time with no need for lunch. The hospitality was so entertaining, that we did not want to stay in our rooms. My husband and I stayed at The Tin Lizzie to celebrate his 40th B-day. He absolutely loved driving to Yosemite in a 1927 Model- A. What a great way to see the sights. The Inn was beautiful to every last detail. The Inn keepers were so gracious- making sure we were completely satisfied. The 3-course breakfast was excellent. Overall an amazing experience.

My wife and I were guests at the Tin Lizzie Inn in mid-May, staying two nights in the Tin Lizzie Suite. This suite is a large accommodation filling nearly the second floor of the inn. It is lavishly furnished with Victorian antiques and rivals the suites of any fine hotel. The gourmet breakfast is outstanding! The inn is only two years old and is meticulously maintained. Two other things make the inn special, however. First, you can rent either a vintage Model A or T Ford. We chose to take the complementary ride around Fish Camp with the innkeepers, David and Sheran Woodworth. Our Model A drove and rode remarkably well. It is amazing these vintage Fords are still on the road after 80-90 years and a real testament to their design and durability. The most special aspect to the inn is the owners. David and Sheran are not only great hosts, but are also interesting (with many experiences to share) and warm as well. You'll leave feeling you have made two new friends. We have stayed in many hotels, inns, and B and B's around the world and can recommend the Tin Lizzie Inn without hesitation. If you visit Yosemite, a stay at the Tin Lizzie will be a highlight of your visit! It rates a "5 out of 5".

This place is truly a destination! You will feel totally pampered and cared for as if you were with family or good friends. Food is wonderful, hosts delightful and helpful in every way and the setting is lovely. Riding around in a Model T is great fun!

The newly build Tin Lizzie Inn is an incredibly finely detailed Victorian home nestled among the pines. We say home rather than B&B because of you feel you are guests of friends rather than staying in an Inn. Our large beautiful suite was furnished with antiques, gorgeous and comfortable king size bed, big beautiful bathroom, with a shower made for two with all the shower heads imaginable and a unique massaging bathtub. Delicious breakfasts and daily treats combined with chirping birds in the morning, an early morning sighting of a deer and her fawn nibbling on Sheran's flowers (tolerated as a natural part of living in a rural setting) and even an evening campfire with roasted marshmallows makes The Tin Lizzie a easy recommendation for anyone looking for comfort, elegance and specially luxury. David's antique collections goes well beyond his Model Ts and As and his knowledge and range of interests make him and Sheran unique among the many Innkeepers we have met with over the years. A richly deserved Five Star recommendation.

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful our stay was. The room was amazing! The bathroom had heated floors, and we got special treats every night. The owners were very knowledgable about the surrounding area. We were able to have a wonderful vacation due to their organization, expertise on Yosemite, and hospitality! The Model Ts are just a huge added plus! We will stay here again!!!

From the moment we arrived at the Tin Lizzie we were treated like royalty. The accomodations are elegant and luxurious. The owners make you feel like family and strive to meet your every need. We had a wonderful time driving the original Ford Model Ts seeing the beauty of Yosemite Valley up close and personal. You can't go wrong booking your next getaway with with the Woodworths.
