Victorian Inn

Built in 1890 of solid heart redwood, the Victorian Inn stands as a monument to luxurious comfort and exquisite craftsmanship. Massively built and magnificently detailed, the Inn embodies the elegance and romance of the Victorian era. With 14 and 16 foot ceilings throughout, the guest rooms are beautifully appointed with vintage fixtures and furnishings, and each enjoys its own private bath. Some rooms have clawfoot tub/showers and some have traditional tub/showers. Some of the rooms have fireplaces. Relax in carefree luxury, dine in our lovely restaurant, taste the sumptuous specialities prepared by our first class chef, indulge in the turn of the century opulence and sophistication of the Victorian Inn and our glorious village. Lowell is a native Californian and Jenny is an import from New Hampshire. The combination of West Coast and New England ideas and tastes make the ambiance at the Inn unique and pleasant. Lowell is a Graduate Gemologist and Certified Gemologist Appraiser. Jenny is also in the jewelry industry and is well on her way to becoming a Graduate Gemologist.

    The Maggie C. Russ Suite 

Named in honor of the sister of the builder of this special Victorian, the Maggie C. Russ Suite is beautifully appointed and spacious yet warm and cozy. This room, with its high ceilings, has a king bed and twin trundle beds, an antique armoire and a toasty English fireplace. Sip morning tea or coffee in the bay-window sitting area of this spacious room. The bathroom is sumptuously sized and features a claw-foot tub, a shower and a pedestal sink.The Viola McBride Suite

Our largest room, this space is marvelously appointed with a king bed, an English fireplace, a refrigerator, built-in cabinets and additional space for a double bed. The spacious bathroom features black marble bathroom floors and a traditional tub and shower. A large window area overlooks nearby Main Street in Ferndale and affords grand views of the sunset. Great for longer stays.
    THE VICTORIAN PARLOR

The ultimate in Victorian romance! A red-dominated room with a golden spread on the king bed. This space has is all and includes a velvet Victorian couch in the bay window sitting area and an antique armoire. Sunlight shines through tall windows with lace curtains in the spacious bath. Traditional tub and shower.THE PACIFICA ROOM

A generously sized and beautifully adorned corner room that is bright and cheerful. Offering a wood burning fireplace, bay window sitting area, high ceilings, antique armoire, king size bed and a traditional tub and shower, this room is our most private and popular.
    BREAKFAST LOUNGE AND GAME ROOM

At the Victorian Inn our gracious Breakfast Lounge and Game Room serves as the perfect morning gathering place with its fireplace and reading area.
Start your day with a full breakfast including a hot entree, bagels with cream cheese, butter and jam, granola, a variety of yogurt, fresh fruit, milk and juices and of course, freshly-brewed gourmet coffee.

The Breakfast Lounge and Game Room welcomes you all day and night with delicious coffee and tea, amusing cards and games and friendly company.
