I grew up in Ferndale, this was the second time we stayed at Victorian Inn and once again it was awesome. The Breakfast is the BEST made to order. I would totally recommend the Victorian Inn to any one who is headed to Ferndale for the Humboldt County Fair, special event or just a vacation location.

My friend and I took our annual vacation to the redwoods (breathtaking). We decided to stay in Ferndale and found the Victorian Inn very easily on a website which makes reservations. The reviews were excellant so we decided to stay there. Well, the reviews don't even begin to give an accurate description. Our stay was perfect, made all the more better by the staff and Inn. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the facilities wonderful. Our trip couldn't have been better!

We decided to spend our 5-night vacation in one place and chose the Victorian Inn in Ferndale from a selection of potential accommodations. We are glad we did. The experience was exceptionally good. The architecture and quality of the building and its guest rooms are remarkable. It was a treat to stay in a hotel that was built with such fine craftsmanship. The personalized service we received from the inn's staff and owner was no less impressive. We felt welcomed as family. It was nice stay in such fine and historic accommodations and be treated with individualized attention and care. I give the Victorian Inn in Ferndale "Two thumbs up!"

Great Victorian hotel in this quiet cool looking town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are just like walking into a dream. Decor is just phenomenal. Very pleasant temperatures, gorgeous views, and just a perfect place to get away from city noise.

My 2 sisters and I had a mid-week getaway and had a wonderful experience. We stayed in the Viola McBride room. The beds were comfortable, the room beautiful. Food in the VI restaurant was delicious. Everyone was very helpful and cordial. If you enjoy having a Victorian experience, this is the place!

We recently stayed in their Jessica's Haven room for a night on a roadtrip from Seattle to SF. We had a late start the check-in date and a long hike; which delayed our check-in until late at night after dinner time. The hotel staff and Lowell were very accommodating given the fact that we were arriving after their front desk had closed. They left signs and instructions that were very easy to follow so we could get to our room with no problem around 10pm. The room was clean, fresh, quaint, and cozy; with a gas fireplace which was a welcome sight after a chilly and tiring day hike. Given that it's an old Victorian building, the ample amount of daylight in the room and bathroom was surprising and nice in the morning to start the day (blackout blinds present for those who are light averse in the morning). Breakfast was taken in the restaurant downstairs, a full service breakfast menu with all of the fixings. Overall: great service, great room, great hot breakfast.

We recently had a great 2 night stay here. The Inn is in a wonderfully restored building, in a great location in town. The room was spacious, well appointed and maintained. The restaurant was very good. We had a delicious dinner the first night, followed by 2 great breakfasts. The staff was very friendly and attentive at all times. Zachary at the front desk was always ready with a smile. Will definitely stay here again.

I went here on a mini honeymoon with my husband and had such a wonderful time. Ferndale itself is a very nice town and the Victorian Inn was so well managed and just an overall pleasant experience. The breakfast was amazing and they had a really cool common room where you could go and get tea, coffee, and hot chocolate whenever you wanted. If you love staying in beautiful, Victorian places with great service, this is the place for you!
Named for the imaginative builder of our lovely inn, this elegantly decorated room with high ceilings was his favorite. The turret sitting area offers remarkable views of historic Ferndale's Main Street and Ocean Avenue. An antique armoir, king bed and rain forest shower accompany an English fireplace, adding ambiance and warmth. The beautiful bay window brings in light and air.
Named for the sister of the builder of this building, this suite enjoys a king bed. A bay window sitting area affords a wonderfully relaxing place to sip your coffee or tea. An Antique mirrored armoire adds to and reflects the beauty of this room while an English fireplace adds warmth and coziness. The bath is extra large and features a rain forest shower with a pedestal sink. This room is very spacious.
A very large room, this space is marvelously appointed with a king bed and a double bed, an English fireplace, a refrigerator and built-in cabinets. The spacious bathroom features black marble floors and a traditional tub and shower. A large window area overlooks Main Street and affords grand views of the sunset. Great for longer stays.
A generously sized and beautifully adorned corner room that is bright and cheerful. Offering a wood burning fireplace, bay window sitting area, high ceilings, antique armoire, king sized bed and a traditional tub and shower, this room is our most private and popular.
The ultimate in Victorian romance! A red-dominated room with a golden spread on the king bed. This space has it all and includes a velvet Victorian couch in the bay window sitting area and an antique armoire. Sunlight shines through tall windows with lace curtains in the spacious bath. Traditional tub and shower.
This remarkably luxurious suite is named in honor of a marvelous Lady who loved Ferndale and the Victorian Inn, even though she never stayed with us. Being in a wheel chair, she couldn't climb the stairs. This ground floor suite would now allow her to stay. It features, among many other things, a full kitchen, king bed, large flat screen TV, roll-in shower, claw foot tub and very, very elegant appointments. 800 square feet of luxury as near to heaven as we can make it in Ferndale.
Make it ?Suite? ? The Ira and Maggie Russ Rooms This luxury suite combination affords you a spacious turret dining area, a separate bay window sitting area for games and/or reading, two rain forest shower areas, two English fireplaces, and two king beds. The epitome of luxury!
This is a beautifully restored 2-Story 4-Bedroom Victorian home one block from the Victorian Inn. Guests enjoy the privacy, elegance and luxury of having the entire house to themselves, with a modern custom kitchen, living room dining room, sun room, laundry facilities and two bath rooms. This is the very best Ferndale has to offer!
