The B&B is nestled in the Sierra Foothills in the Fair Play Wine Country. The highest quality lodging is in this beautiful bed and breakfast. Local wine country wines are served daily with snacks.
The rear deck stainless steel fireplace allows us to extend our fall outdoor activities. Enjoy early morning coffee in the shade of the trees, the afternoon ambiance in the shade of the house or watch the stars in the evening.
The Beate bed area is European with the colors and frills. A Romanesque style soaking tub awaits you to soothe your body after your day of exploring the great wines in the Fair Play Wine Country of Northern California
Step up into secluded comfort of the Vineyard Suite sleeping room with the relaxing lavender and purple color scheme washing away your cares. View the Wine Country stars from the king size bed through the over the bed skylight. Stay cozy on winter mornings with the see-through fireplace and the micro-fiber sheets and pillow cases.
When your return in the afternoon relax with a DVD and a fire in the Country Suite sitting area. This cozy niche is just right for a wedding couple to snuggle and get warm. Fair Play "bubbly" from Iverson Winery will heighten the moment.
The two sided fireplace in the Fair Play Cottage gives romance real meaning. The whirlpool tub is on one side and the bed the other side. The pine floor is from wood cut from the property. This secluded getaway gives you a chance to unwind after experiencing the Wine Country of El Dorado County.
The Laguna Suite brings the colorful and romantic Laguna Beach into your heart. An aquamarine wall and ceiling fan provide an cool ocean feeling. The many colors of blues, greens, whites and yellows make one think of the bright sunny skies and white foamy beaches of Southern California. The Laguna Suite is Fair Play's only accessible suite.
The piano is always ready for someone to play her. She's been in the family since Lucinda's father refinished her long before our children were born. On the far right side of the photos on the piano are Lucinda's grandparents on her mother's side and next to them in the uniforms are Lucinda's parents right after they got married.
There is always a puzzle to while away your time in Fair Play's most comfortable B&B. Lucinda's Country Inn provides board games, puzzles, playing cards, puzzle books and hand puzzles, that boggle your mind.
When you've come this far into the California Sierra Mountains your view of Lake Tahoe is superb. The most beautiful alpine lake in the world is just minutes (about 60 minutes)from Fair Play, east along Highway 50 or 88.
In the heart of Fair Play Wine Country, El Dorado County, California a dastardly act has been committed and your job is to help solve the murder mystery. Lucinda's Country Inn hosts several special package events each year: Murder in Fair Play, Wine wagon, Excellence in Fair Play - Grilling and more.
Omelets to Order have been favorites with the guests at the best bed and breakfast in Fair Play.
Here the Wagon Train is pulling into Pollock Pines, 13 miles from Placerville. Each June the train leaves the high Sierras to travel down Highway 50 to finish its week long journey in Placerville, where there are festivities and fun, fun, fun for all.
This proves there will be Alpaca in the Fair Play area for years to come. This baby will father more shortly. His home is at the Retiredice Alpaca Ranch, just minutes from Lucinda's. There are several alpaca ranches within a short distance.
Even in the winter when it is not too cold, rainy or snowy you can picnic at one of the Fair Play Wine Country wineries. Lucinda is starting the picnic in mid-December. Not a bad view for a winter day!

We stayed in the cottage and had dinner on site. Everything was superb and we will certainly return again. Although the cottage is wonderful and set apart from the main house I think we will stay in one of the main rooms--they are cozy and very well appointed.

Stayed in the Cottage which is amazing and private. The tub with the fireplace was heavenly. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We had Sean cater our dinner and it was yummy and romantic. This was our first visit, so I did not realize that we did not need to check in. Our room was waiting for us when we arrived. We plan to come back and try a different room. We picked the cottage because of the privacy, but we were able to see the other rooms and all of them are private, as the bedrooms are on the outside walls away from other guest rooms. I would recommend any of the rooms.

This room is named after a beautiful German girl,it brings Europe to Fairplay. The rich colors and Old World decor bring European charm. The tile soaking tub makes one dream of Ancient Roman Baths. The arches feel as though you are washing in the canals of Venice. Reading on spool bed in the arched window you feel the mystery of an Agatha Christy novel. The Beate allows guests traveling together who want luxury, but are on a budget. The main sleeping area and the bathroom have a private door; this allows private access to the bath.

Relax in the whirpool tub. The 2 sided see through firplace creates excitement as you relax in the sitting area viewing a new release DVD or VHS. The pine wood floors were milled from the Ponderosa Pines harvested from this property. We milled, planed and molded every piece of wood used in this room ourselves. The deck is protected from the sun by a majestic oak tree; you feel as though you are in a tree house. The quite seclusion affords you the opportunity to clear your mind of all cares and concerns. Lovely room with walk in shower, gas fireplace and very comfy bed. The food was wonderful and plentiful. A bit disappointed that the waterfall in the shower did not work, but other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay and we'll definitely be back!

Then follow the directions stated above once on Mt. Aukum Rd. to Fair Play Rd. You go straight at the 4 way stop, mentioned above.
