Unsurpassed views. From the decks, the windows, you watch the whales, the seals, the gulls, the fog, the ocean sunsets. Watching from an ocean bluff-covered with myriad rock formations along the shore in a once-thriving lumber town called Elk. You walk the wide sandy beach in the state park just south of the inn. There are fireplaces, private baths with hand painted tiles and Jacuzzi tubs, soft down comforters, artistic expressions everywhere. Our garden-by-the-edge-of-the-sea is waiting for you with flowers for your room and dinner table, and the freshest herbs and greens. Rest . . . Reflect . . . Renew. Complimentary continental breakfast. Complete dinner available from our restaurant. Our rooms have: fireplaces, private baths, great ocean views and private decks; refrigerators, coffee makers; microwaves available in several rooms. Phone available for your use in our main office. Hot tub on cliff.

One of kind rooms in a quite seaside town. This is the place to go if you are looking for character in a quiet little town and not the usual cookie cutter hotel.

Our favorite place to stay on N. Calif. coast.

Had a lovely stay at this Inn. The view is really the main attraction and there were nice views from the room we stayed in which was the Starfish room on the lower level. The room was comfortable and was very true to the pictures that are on the website. The attached cafe features great food most especially the fresh fish. The person who checked us in, Ace, was very friendly and colorful and gave us some really helpful tips about the area and provided us with so much laughter. This was a nice get away and we would go back. We took advantage of a Travel Zoo deal and so for that price the stay very much met our expectations. One should be aware of the time of year you book because of the cold foggy weather but that is why we chose to stay in Fall. Would recommend this place for its charm, good food and proximity to a choice of places either farther up north or more down south.

The Greenwood Pier Inn is absolutely gorgeous! All the gardens the view the different kinds of lodging. There is not one room that does not have a view of the ocean. Magical is my best way to explain it.

Have visited the Greenwood Pier Inn for over 18 years. The property has deteriorated significantly and breakfast has changed from creative hot surprises to granola, fruit and hockey puck roll. The rooms are still nice and views, of course, are spectacular, however, hard times seem to have fallen on this wonderful getaway. I hope the owners make the necessary changes to bring it back up to what it once was.
