A California bed and breakfast in Colfax, the Sierra Sun Cloud Inn is a luxurious Gold Country bed and breakfast. This beautiful New England style Inn is located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Secluded among towering Ponderosa Pines on a spectacular 18 acre hilltop estate, the Inn rests on a park-like setting. The 360 degree views of the Sacramento Valley and several neighboring mountain ranges gives you the feeling that you are truly on top of the world. The meticulously manicured gardens, the glow of the distant city lights and the clear starlite sky make this a perfect romantic getaway.

My wife and I were down south to participate in the celebration of my sister's 50th wedding anniversary. My wife wanted a romantic and secluded spot to stay. She found the Sierra Sun Cloud Inn and it more than filled the bill. Proprietor Guy Hunter was not only a gracious host and a splendid cook, turns out he is a regular guy. I would recommend the inn to anyone who wants to spend a romantic weekend or simply get away from it all. Jim McDonald Yreka, Ca.

This is a beautiful home that is clean, well maintained, and quiet! The owner is very hospitable and welcoming. Lots of places to relax, room was quiet (never even heard others when we were inside the room), and the grounds are beautiful! (Although when we were there, there was too much smoke from fires to truly enjoy.) We were definitely made to feel at home! Thank you Guy! We will definitely be back!

You are surrounded with beautiful nature. The house is clean, quiet, warm, and cozy. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. Nice people and good breakfast! They usually serve breakfast at 9am, but they changed their time because we couldn't stay that long. They wanted to make sure we get fed before departing. The night before, They kindly offered to do take out from the city for us as we arrived.

Guy, the owner, runs a beautiful home. Amazing property. Very "homey", yet luxurious and elegant. Super service. Worth the price. We'll be back!

This was a fantastic B&B. So very peaceful. Our room was WONDERFUL and Guy couldn't have been a better host. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the company of other couples. We were there for our 51st anniversary and really enjoyed the relaxation and beauty of the grounds. Lot's to explore, Nevada City, Grass Valley, Lincoln and Newcastle. Can't get any better! Wine, beer, water and coffee available all of the time, so not to worry about missing a wine gathering in the afternoon. AND...we enjoyed watching the finals of NHRA Drag Racing on the BIG TV. SUPER...We love Sierra Sun Cloud and will return!

We stayed at the Sierra Sun Cloud Inn in the "off" season and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. I had the best night's sleep I can remember (quiet and dark) in a long time. Guy is a wonderful host, cooked a delicious breakfast and provided detailed information about the area for our expeditions. We will go back again.

We were there on a Friday evening. It was wonderfully quiet. Not much going on there as there was only one other couple that evening. Owner was friendly and gave us access to the adjoining bathroom to the room even though it was not part of our room package, at no extra cost. I chose that room because the bed did not have a footboard. My husband is 6'6" so finding rooms in B&B's is tricky. It worked, though a king bed would've been ideal.

I went for a quiet get away with my partner and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! The owner, Guy, is very friendly and accommodating. There is a TV room with a huge couch, some funky DVDs, lots of channels, wine, tea, coffee, a pool table, a mini fridge, a sound system with laid back tunes, and seriously chill vibes! I highly recommend
