Charles Crocker was one of the famed "Big Four" founders of the Central Pacific Transcontinental Railroad in the 1860s. Crocker purchased about 600 acres of an old Spanish land grant in 1873 as a hunting retreat that he often visited with his cronies. The current lodge was built in 1907 with redwood framing and siding as a family style retreat. It has been updated but retains its original rustic charm.

The Old Crocker is a wonderful, charming, soothing place to stay. The cabins are luxurious and comforting. The pool was great and the Lodge is beautiful. You are truly missing something if you haven't stayed there!! Can't wait till my next visit.

We stayed here for the second time this year. It is one of our favorite places to go to. The inn is lovely, quiet, and relaxing. There are deer and other wildlife roaming on the property, like foxes. It is truly magical. The staff is very accommodating. I have food allergies and they went to the trouble of making me a special breakfast. They go above and beyond. I highly recommend the Crocker Inn!

We only stayed one night and having arrived and explored wished we were staying longer. The resort is calm, quiet and comfortable. Our room had an extremely large comfortable bed, a well equipped bathroom and a TV and DVD player. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Would we stay here again? Absolutely.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much. We felt like we were on a second honeymoon. We left our four children behind to recharge, refresh, and reconnect. That we did! This place is beautiful!! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food was amazing! If I ever get the chance to go to California again, I would definitely stay here.

My wife and I stayed three nights at Old Crocker Inn for our anniversary. Beautiful location with the hosts to match, a perfect getaway.. The room that we stayed in was the Stanford Room, which was part of the main house. The room was very comfortable with the decor to match, comfortable bed with soft sheets , with a nice regulated fireplace. In other words it kept the room temperature at the level that you set it at. The road up to the Inn is a little twisty, but just be careful with all the wildlife running around. We will definitely go back for another visit sometime in the future. I highly recommend Old Crocker if you are visiting that part of the wine country.

My wife and I were very pleased with our accommodations. We had a stand alone cabin that had all the amenities we needed or wanted. The property is tucked away in the Eastern hills above Cloverdale. It takes some work to get there especially at night, but it's worth it. The main cabin where breakfast is served is spacious with a rustic feel. Tony and Marcia do a great job
