A historic bed and breakfast built in 1925, delivers one to the enchanted era of Shakespearean England. Enter the lush English country gardens and be enveloped by a delightful visual banquet of flowers, lawns and ancient trees. Inspired by the "Tales of Robin Hood," the four charming Cotswold Cottages (Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Little John, Friar Tuck) are newly renovated and elegantly decorated in French and English country furnishings and lovely antiques with the finest in linens and bedding. Afternoon wine and cheese is served in the gardens. A continental breakfast is served to your cottage each morning. For pet lovers, our inn is pet friendly.

5 out of 5We are in love!!
May 12, 2010
My new husband and I recently rented out all 4 cottages for 3 days for my family and us. On April 1st 2010 we got married in the AMAZING gardens with 29 of our closest friends and family. This is the most Magical B&B I have ever been too. We looked high and low for the perfect site for our wedding. We wanted charming, cozy, intimate, friendly and somewhere so unique and special that we would all just melt when the day finally arrived. The Lincoln Green Inn is more than we ever dreamed of. The owners are very nice and helpful. Angela the owner even clipped daisies from the garden and put in a basket for all of our guests to toss over us. We got some of the best pictures from that moment. The cottages are so comfortable, clean and beautiful that I wanted to stay and live in the one called Little John. It has the most incredible gardens and private back spaces to relax in. I can't gush enough about how much we LOVE this place, we will be back on our 1 year and as many times as possible over the years. I highly recommend it, the cottages are not cheap, but The Lincoln Green Inn is unlike any other B&B in Carmel ( and trust me I have searched almost all of them in my wedding planning) it is well worth every penny for the memories you will take home. Thank you Angela, Tom and Betsy our wedding was a dream come true!!!

First of all I must say that when my husband and I travel I always look for a Ritz Carlton. I am SO GLAD that I did NOT find one in Carmel. As we entered the gates we were greeted by the fragrance of the prolific lavender. It was as if it wanted to leave a lasting impression upon us, and trust me, it did. I could not tell from the photos online if it was just a large suite or truly a cottage. Well it was a cottage, and for me it was rather magical. Even living near the beach in Florida it is just too humid half of the year to leave the windows open. But here you can open them all the time, and they are the most darling little classic paned windows. You know the kind that you turn the handle and just push outward! Oh! There was a dutch door in our kitchen that I opened each morning as I made the coffee and watched the hummingbirds flitter about. If I sound like I was crazy about being there it is because I was! This place is quiet and has charm galore. I am a soft sheet fanatic and I think they were better than my own. Sumptuous! Angela has done a magnificent job with this inn. She brought in great pieces of furniture from across the pond and made it all work perfectly. I can honestly say that this Inn was the highlight of our trip to Ca., especially for me, a reluctant and very picky traveler!!

What a sweet place to celebrate our 20th anniversary! The English cottage was a vision in blue and white, beautifully decorated with the most attention to detail we've ever seen.
4.4 out of 5A wonderful discovery...ssh don't tell everyone!

We discovered these wonderful cottages after hours of searcing on the web and they have recently been taken over by Angela and her husband. They have been undergoing extensive remodeling and offer a quiet location, with BEAUTIFUL gardens and an almost private beach one minutes drive down the road. They are a million miles from the commercial centre (and HIGH prices) of Carmel yet only a few minutes drive (like three!) away. Thus you get the best of both worlds.....wonderful sleep & few tourists, comfort, a HUGE selection of DVD's and a gas fireplace to boot. Our cottage (Robin Hood) had been given an extensive makeover and was very comfortable...yet had a feeling of space and light. Angela was very hospitable at the evening wine and cheese chat and we met some interesting folks. The breakfast is delivered in a basket at a time of your choosing and some cottages have kitchens so you can do your own thing if you wish. As fellow innkeepers from Woodstock Vermont we expect certain things and the place lived up to our expectations. Highly recommended.
