    The service was very attentive without being "in your face" all the time, totally subtle but very in tuned with guests.

    We found this to be a great place to stay in Carmel. The location is ideal, gardens are great, rooms large and quiet, great afternoon tea.

    Since we stayed at the Cypress in 2003, we "fell in love" with this beautiful Hotel (because of the wonderful staff, the doggies, the gourmet-food and the spirit of wonderful co-owner, singer, actress and animal activist DORIS DAY)! We returned in 2005 and 2007 and are looking forward to stay there again in July this year-there are many more Hotels and Inns in lovely Carmel-but there is only one place like the CYPRESS INN! There are no words to describe, how much we enjoyed it!

    We stayed at The Cypress Inn during the 4th of July holiday in 2006. If you have dogs when you're traveling, this is the place to stay in Carmel. The staff was warm and hospitable. The Inn is conveniently located near many shops and restaurants.If you love Carmel, you'll love the Cypress Inn.
