In the heart of Cambria, step through The Squibb House gate and step into a century past. Restored to recreate the charm of the late 1800's. Relax in the main parlor, stroll the garden path or rock on the porch as the world goes by.

    A Wonderful Find!

    December 31, 2012

I will consider The Squibb House one of the luckiest finds of my lifetime. It is everything my boyfriend and I could have hoped for in a quiet, comfortable getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we'd come home. The staff is exceedingly warm and helpful, and they can whip up one delicious continental breakfast! Luckily, when we were inquiring about the inn, Michele recommended the Garden Room, with its claw-foot tub and private patio entry - it was perfect. You could almost feel the cherished memories that have been made in the well-worn and well-kept rooms, with their hand-made furniture and braided rugs. Those memories are chronicled in a series of journals on the mantlepiece above the in-room fireplace, which I enjoyed reading one afternoon during my stay. Years of guests from all over the world convinced me, in their own handwriting, that there is no other place like the Squibb House. That notion was confirmed upon meeting Michele in person, who is so genuinely sweet and caring that my boyfriend and I talked at length on the drive home about when we will go back to visit this special place.

The Squibb House was a great "base of operation" for exploring Cambria. We were able to relax in the casual ambiance, and the north half of town was in easy walking distance. Even being in the middle of things, nights were quiet for peaceful sleep. The easy access to and from the freeway was great for our day trips.
