Olallieberry Inn

The charming, well-maintained inn is on a very quiet section of the main street and is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. We stayed ina ground floor room with lots of character and comfort. All the staff we encountered during our stay were welcoming and professional. The evening wine and cheese was lovely and the breakfasts satisfying and delicious. We would not hesitate to recommend the Olallieberry Inn.

Perfect bed and breakfast with great homemade pastries, beautiful decor, very comfortable beds, rooms with just enough space, great location within walk of east Cambria.

We loved the rooms and the land around the house,beautiful gardens. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the people running the inn were soooo nice! I will stay here again and again!

We had a great 2 night stay in the creek side room which had a spacious sitting area, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. The staff was super nice and the food was delicious. The bed had memory foam that was quite comfortable. There was wine and cheese and snacks from 5 to 6 p.m. It would have been nice to have it a bit longer. The inn is walking distance to lots of restaurants. We'd definitely stay again.

The room and bath facilities were simply great and the morning breakfast was like home with a big family with wonderful food. Although there is a very noisy bath fan below our room. It resonated in the building framework into our room and was on late into the night and again early in the AM leading me to believe it didn't work any better than ours. The sink drain also did not drain very well. If I stayed there again I would want a different room.

Beautiful place to stay, very nice staff. Loved the sound of frogs in the evening when sitting in quaint backyard. Yummy breakfasts. Only drawback was the thin walls between rooms. Could hear neighbors muffled conversations....luckily that is all we heard;)

We had a nice ride up the coast to the place where we spent our 20th - the Olallieberry Inn. We were in the Sunrise Room and had a wonderful room and stay. If I had any complaint it would be that at breakfast, they are so efficient, that you feel a bit rushed. We are early risers so we take the early breakfast. The food was wonderful as was the company but it just felt as if they were rushed, taking into account their next breakfast group coming in. Otherwise, a great place to stay...

Staff was very attentive and breakfasts were unbelievably delicious. Looking forward to our next visit.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and absolutely fell in love with it! What a beautiful and charming B&B this is! Nestled on the east side of town, this B&B is close to all of the shops and restaurants. We stayed in the Sunrise room which is even more lovely in person! The room was spacious and comfortable. The innkeepers were very friendly and the grounds were immaculate. The happy hour was spent on the deck and offered light appetizers and wine. The breakfasts offered a vareity of options. The homemade granola is amazing! We definitely plan to come back.

I stayed here with my girlfriend on a trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. After staying in enormous, impersonal hotels this place was a pleasant change of pace. The staff was very helpful, the room was very comfy, and the breakfast was amazing. I will definitely stop here on my next trip through town.

I stayed two nights here with a friend recently, and it couldn't have been more wonderful. The room was adorable and cozy (they sheets they have on the beds are AMAZING), the breakfast was absolutely delicious, the staff were wonderful, and the other guests were a joy to meet. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed in the cottage for 2 nights. The room was immaculate but a little small. There was room for a bedside table on one side of the bed but not the other. The beds and pillows are the foam variety so if that's not something you like this might not be the place for you. However, if you like plentiful, delicious breakfasts you should consider this B+B. Also if you've never had olallieberry syrup, jam or yogurt you'll want to stop here.

This was our 2nd time visiting, and again it was a delight! Margorie and Derk, go outof there way to make your experience a pleasant, memorable one. Thank youn for a really good time!

My husband and I were married at the Olallieberry Inn on Friday, December 21st, 2012, and it could not have been more perfect! We were treated so kindly, the inn is just gorgeous and our room was perfect. The entire staff was so welcoming and gracious, the food was absolutely outstanding, the staff referred my husband and I to the most perfect officiant for our wedding, I can't say enough good things about our stay. We will be back! :)

My husband and I recently stayed in the Angel Room. It was one of the smaller rooms, but was big enough for our two night stay. The attached bathroom was large and we could both be in there without bumping into one another. The walls are thin, making it easy to hear your neighbors or the doors opening and closing. However, this is not surprising considering the buildings are old. The breakfasts were delicious! A little light on the protein, but the flavor of the homemade scones, danish, pumpkin pancakes and french toast made up for the small serving of eggs. Service was fantastic. Our coffee cups were never empty and Marjorie asked us if we needed reservations for dinner and called the restaurant for us. She even sent us on our way each day with scones or danish. Lovely time.

We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was wonderful - the Harmony room was clean & comfortable, the fireplace warmed up the room nicely. We had the shower/bathroom across the hall but it was no problem to access. The food was spectacular, any request we had addressed immediately and even the other guests were warm and friendly. Highly recommend.

Marjorie, Anne and Dirk, Didn't have the good fortune in meeting Marilyn and Larry. But Marjorie, Anne and Dirk were the greatest hosts imaginable. We had a wonderful time. The Creekside Room was fantastic ... so warm and romantic. The other guests were friendly and interesting and the breakfast was delicious. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast, and from now on, the Ollieberry Inn will be our weekend home at least once every year (I hope a few times a year). Thank you for making our mini vacation to Cambria, one we will never forget.

Olallieberry Inn is a great place to stay, located about half-way between LA and San Fran on Hwy 1. It's also very close to Hearst Castle, a must-see on the scenic drive. Our room was very pleasant and lovely, and the big sunken tub was fantastic! We arrived in the early evening and were happy to be in time for the hors d'oeuvres hour, since we were very hungry and had some time before dinner reservations. The food definitely went above and beyond our expectations. Breakfast the next morning was so scrumptious, and it was one time I wished my stomach were a bottomless pit! The only draw-back to our stay was that there was a crying child in one of the rooms. While we both love children, and their crying doesn't tend to bother us, we were a bit disappointed since visiting a B&B is a quiet, relaxing time for a couple to get away together. I noticed on the website that the Inn does not have a 'no children' policy, which is great if you want to stay as a family, but perhaps not so great (sometimes) if you are looking to have a nice, romantic getaway as a couple.

We found the inn recommended in Frommers online. The location is perfect the gardens and rooms are beautiful, and the staff and owners are the icing on the cake. Wonderful happy hour snacks, and incredible breakfast. I cannot recommend The Olallieberry Inn enough! We will be back and will absolutely recommend to others visiting Hearst Castle or driving the PCH.

We stayed for our Anniversary we had a great time. We have stayed at several B & B's and have always left a little disappointed. I have even left one in tears the experience was so terrible. Not this time we left happy and totally satisfied. The staff are amazing and really helpful and friendly. We would stay here again.

This was our second time here, and we brought friends to show them. The service and friendliness of all the staff is absolutely 1st class. The rooms are sooooo relaxing. This was second time we had stayed here (8 years in between). Great happy hour, great breakfast, comfortable room. Shower left a little to be desired as bathtub with curtain all the way around it, which stuck to you. We'd stay here again, but probably different room.

It is the most serene, peaceful place I have stayed at. Just sitting in the garden with a cup of coffee was so relaxing. In the morning we had a great home made breakfast. Everybody was very friendly.

We stayed two nights at the Olallieberry Inn. The room was lovely with all the extras. Our wine and snack time as well as breakfast were tasty and beautifully presented. We would stay again if we are ever in the area.

The Inn and the grounds are immaculate and quiet, but still really close to the downtown so you can grab a bite to eat or shop. Marjorie was great and her signature sticky bun recipe is to die for. I would definitely recommend this Inn to anyone.

It was a nice B&B, but the price was a high (nearly $200 with taxes included), especially compared with comparable B&Bs at other locations in California.

This was my second visit to the Olallieberry Inn and by far my best. The room was elegant and comfortable. It was lovely to sit and talk with the other guests over appetizers and wine. Any dinner you want is walking distance away. You won't find a better breakfast in Cambira than at the Olallieberry Inn. Nothing compares to the great night's sleep and delicious breakfast that you receive at the Olalieberry Inn!

I LOVE the Olallieberry Inn. They treat you warmly, the grounds are well manicured, it's romantic and in such a wonderful little town. When I'm in Cambria, this is where I stay. You will NOT be disappointed.

We stayed 2 nights. All of the employees and guests were very nice. The afternoon wine and cheese was yum. Accommodations were as advertised. Restaurant recommendations were perfect.

With Gluten, Dairy and Diabetic restictions the Olallieberry Inn created a relaxing and stress free experience. Loved the Sunrise room.

The room was comfortable, the food was extraordinary and the friendliness of the staff is unbeatable. The location is great and there is sufficient parking. It was very pleasant to sit in the back garden, sip wine and meet the others. I will definitely go back again.

We had the good fortune to stay at the Olallieberry Inn while driving up the coast from LA to San Francisco. It was the perfect spot to stop and take in the Central Coast. The Inn is beautifully maintained, the gardens lovely and relaxing. Breakfast was AMAZING! One possible drawback (but not for us) is the absence of television in the room. The gas fireplace more than made up for that. Highly recommended.

We were only able to stay one evening, but it was great. We and our friends arrived late and found a note on the front door instructing how to enter and find our keys. The rooms were not spacious, but certainly big enough. The king sized bed was huge. There were Dove chocolates, fresh oatmeal cookies and cold water waiting for us. The location is excellent, only a short walk from the town. The Inn was quiet and we slept well. Breakfast the next morning was served by Margie (?) who was very gracious. The food was all great. We highly recommend the historic Olallieberry Inn!

Charming inn, lovely room with comfortable bed, pretty garden.

Very nice and friendly. We did not arrive until late (9 PM) and then had to leave early in the morning (9 AM). Because of this, about all we had time to do was sleep, eat and run. The Breakfast was delicious and the staff very nice and friendly. So please keep in mind that I may well have rated some items higher if our experience had lasted longer. Cambria is a wonderful quaint little town not too far from the Hearst estate. I wish we had had more time to spend here. My apologies to the proprietors for not being able to give a more in depth and accurate evaluation. I would recommend this Inn to people who can stay longer than we did and enjoy the things we might have missed by the brevity of our stay.

Booked this B&B for a visit to Hearst castle, and ended up having one of the most enjoyable B&B experiences in a long time. The location is very good, and walking distance to restaurants and shops in Cambria. The house is one of the oldest in the town and is exquisitely decorated. Breakfast and service are very good. I recommend the Olallieberry Inn wholeheartedly to all!

The Olallieberry Inn is everything one would want in a bed and breakfast inn ... charming rooms in walking distance convenient location to the shopping district in Cambria, a helpful and friendly staff, a really nice wine and cheese hour, and a great freshly prepared breakfast. We love it! And will be back again next year for our 30th wedding anniversary for our 5th visit.

This was our second visit and we loved it. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A short walk to shops and restaurants. Great breakfast cooked by Larry each day. Friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Can't say enough. We love it here and so do the other guests. Most had been here before and if this was their first visit they said they would come back. We will be back for sure.

My fiance and stayed her for two nights (Friday & Saturday) in May, 2012 and we will definitely be back. This place was amazing from the bed to the food. Marjorie and Larry were extremely hospitable and had great suggestions on where to go and what to see in Cambria. The place has a very homey feeling and was Excellent! They serve wine and appetizers in the afternoon and the breakfast was great. I think the best part was the service that we received. My fiance forgot his watch when we left Sunday morning and they called us within 10 minutes after leaving so we could swing by to pick it up. I would give this place six stars if I could! Thank you Olallieberry Inn!!!

We had a wonderful stay. Hosts were most gracious and informative. Breakfasts and afternoon treats were delicious. Proximity to downtown Cambria shops and restaurants was perfect. Lots to see and do in the area. Hope to make it back someday.

After seeing Hearst Castle, we stopped in Cambria to stay at this B + B due it it's fine reputation and all of the positive comments posted about it on the web. It was very nice and the fellow who was the host, Dirk, was extremely helpful with lots of information about the area and trivia, too. He prepared a breakfast that could not be beat and we were on our way to our next destination.

Not only is the setting beautiful and quiet, but the staff makes you feel like family and that you are the only ones visiting.

Our stay here was lovely, beautiful rooms and garden and so fun to mingle with the other guests. Wine and appetizers were nice but get there quickly because they do not refill food once it runs out and on some items there is not a lot to begin with. I missed out on a corn salsa that looked amazing but I will never know. It's from 5 to 6 and I got there at 5:10 and missed it! Also was a bit disappointed in the breakfasts which are included in the price and so I feel they should be amazing and something I wouldn't typically make at home. We stayed there two days and the first day was fruit, orange juice and some type of danish - that part was fine and the same every day. The main meal was scramble eggs and banana pancakes. Although they were good, it wasn't very exciting. The next day was was more eggs and salsa and beans (which don't always work when traveling with others) and tortillas. I guess they do not cook any type of meat which I feel they should note on their website but I could have lived with that if they had eggs florentine or eggs benedict even without the meat but with tomatoes and avocado or something or even some type of potatoes. I just left there feeling very unfulfilled and unsatisfied in that area. I felt they were trying to make the easiest cheapest thing they could think of which is a shame because it will prohibit me from going again or recommending to others. They do make some amazing cookies though!

Had the "Angel Room". It was a little hot at night, but they provided a fan. Breakfast was amazing - fresh homemade. Everyone was friendly and helpful with restaurants to go to and things to do. Would also recommend Cambria Ale House - which was in walking distance. All of the east side shops are within walking distance.

The Ollallieberry Inn is a wonderful place to stay! My husband and I were on our "baby-moon" and just loved our expereince there. The staff was kind and sweet, the rooms were lovely,and the breakfast was fantastic! I've had a hard time sleeping due to the wonderful weight gain that comes with pregnancy, but I slept like a log at the inn! the beds were so comfortable and the sheets were super soft. We loved eating breakfast with the other guests and enjoyed the afternoon cheese & crackers. It was nice to sit out back and enjoy the serenity of the garden. The best part was that we parked when we arrived and didn't touch our car until we left - we could walk all through cambria from the inn. Cannot recommend this place enough.

What a pleasant surprise. We loved this quaint inn. We would suggest staying in a room in the detached building. We stayed in thr Angel Nook. Very quiet. There are 2 other rooms with separate bsths in this building that are larger. Very nice. The innkeepers weee so friendly. Breakfast was a feast. Each morning we had homemade cinnamon rolls, French toast with homemade bread and scrambled eggs. Can hardly wait to come back.

My wife and I have been coming to this charming B & B since 2001 for our anniversary. Needless to say the overall service, food and price are exceptional, especially for what you get. The rooms are clean and quaint. The food is exceptional. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We look forward to coming back each year and have stayed in every room, except the two that don't have bathrooms in the rooms. I like quaint but I also like comfort!!

The bed was incredible: the linens where special. The gardens where beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. The hosts were lovely. The location was perfect. What more can I say?! I brought friends from abroad to experience an American bed and breakfast in a stretch of the beautiful California coastline and this place fit the bill! You can't come to Cambria without Olallieberries being part of your stay!

I stayed at Olallieberry Inn to celebrate the new year 2012. I wanted something that was cozy and personal rather than a chain motel. Olallieberry was that and more. Very personable staff and owners.

We would have rated some areas higher except that we have been here before and expected what we got. Value was ok, but could have been about $50 less for the night and been closer to my idea of a good deal. Regardless we will be back again.

My first time at a B&B and I couldn't have been happier. Great beds, wonderful breakfast and excellent service. Really treat yourself and have the Lomi Lomi massage.

Our stay was great. The property was very quaint. The hospitality made it all come together as a great overall experience. I will recommend the Inn to my friends and family.

We have had the pleasure of staying in dozens of B&B's around the USA and the UK. This is a nice place but wouldn't rank in our top 20. Granted we stayed here close to Haloween but the creaking floors from the room above us were a major disruption to our night's sleep.

Great breakfast, friendly host, attractive garden. WiFi did not work; otherwise all was excellent.

Althoug we only stay one night at the Olallieberry Inn, we would definatly return for a longer stay. We enjoyed cozy room and recommended dinner at the Mandeline's. Also, we enjoyed the pie an olallieberry pie at Lynn's accorss the street "it is the best". I would highly recommend this place.

As always everything was perfect. We look forward to returning next year.

Wonderful time - Dirk met us at the door and gave us an immediate your. Besides being fun and courteous his cooking is wonderful. The breakfast the he and Marge presented us with was memorable - waking up to the aroma of fresh scones cooking was a great surprise. AND they were as special as they looked!!!! This was one of several b&bs we stayed in on our visit to the Central Coast. It was everything the good reviews had already said: a peaceful garden for a quiet wine and conversation, excellent location around the bend from the shops and restaurants, close to some nice walks up the hill, and interesting conversation with folks from various professions at the breakfast table.

This was our fourth trip to ollalieberry inn and it was as warm and inviting as always. The rooms are cozy, the property is beautiful, the food is amazing and they have thus spoiled all other B and B experiences. Nowhere holds a candle to the Ollalieberry!

Lovely room, gorgeous grounds and delicious food-- all just steps away from "downtown" Cambria! I can't wait to return.

My wife and I went up to Cambria for the Labor Day Weekend and had a lovely time at this quaint and charming B&B. The rooms and the home are well done and clean; the gardens well kept and the service excellent. The breakfast was delicious !!!

I have never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before this, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was very cozy and charming! The innkeepers were very accommodating!

The place is delightful. From the quilts on the bed to the lamps on the tables the old victorian charm flows in every detail. The breakfast was great. You don't want to miss the walnut/maple scones. Olallieberry syrup and preserves was plentiful on the table too. The only thing we did not like was not having more time to spend at this great location.

Friendly staff. Clean, neat room. Loved the balcony overlooking Santa Rosa Creek. Shelves in the bathroom were a big help.

Like walking into a picture book of the Big Sur's best inns and B&B's. We arrived just in time for wine & appetizers. Was greeted by staff that was so helpful & friendly. They recommended a great restaurant for dinner and even made our reservation! Enjoyed the fireplace, a hot bath, and the incredibly comfortable sleep on the Sleep Solutions mattress (the Angels' Nook). Then, to wake up and get to go to the scrumptious breakfast....what more could you ask for?

Thank you for accommodating our "morning of wedding" requests. Our groom and groomsmen enjoyed the suite and it was a perfect location to walk to the chapel! Thank you.

Finally got to stay at Olallieberry Inn after seeing on many trips through Cambria. We happened to be there on an evening when there was a cooking class going on and we were invited to participate. Thanks so much to Marjorie and to A Matter of Taste for a great stay and a fun evening.

Marjorie and the Staff at the Ollalieberry Inn, Jennette and I were so glad to be able to stay at your Inn Saturday night, 8-20-11. The house and gardens were gorgeous and the Cambria room was comfortable and cozy. Ann recommended the Sow's Ear for dinner, we followed that recommendation and had a wonderful dinner there. Breakfast was SO good Sunday morning. We loved the peach danish and I particularly liked the yogurt and granola. We did not leave for home hungry! Thank you so much for your hospitality and for helping make our anniversary celebration a success! We have recommended your Inn to many friends and relatives already and we will definitely be back! Arrival in the evening: The buildings were very well taken care of, beautiful vintage style and decorated with very nice taste. Appetizers laid out on a table in the garden patio. Freshly made dips that were delicious! Fresh cut vegetables and crackers as well as two tasty wines. The garden actually contained an Olallieberry plant!! There were fresh herbs growing on the top level of the patio that were used in the food, making the flavors remarkable! There were bench areas facing toward the creek that ran behind the main house. Our room was in a separate extension with its own entrance. The garden was very well kept and relaxing to sit and sip on a drink. The atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing. The rooms were quiet and comfortable with a very homey feel. The sheets were so very soft (microfiber). They had the mold to your body foam mattresses (Tempurpedic) In the room was its own private bathroom, spotless and clean! Fresh robes hung in the wardrobe closet and the room had its own thermostat which we didn't need to use as there was also a gas lit fireplace (no mess!!) in the room which made the lighting so romantic and relaxing. To top the experience, next to the bed were Journals dating back to 1995 with pages of people who shared their experiences. We of course had to leave our comments there as well. In the morning: Breakfast was hand made by the owners and served at a specific time in the morning. The meal was fresh and tasted great! The owners were friendly and hospitable and the dining style was with the other residents so the atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. There was fresh coffee station and an area for cereals and fruit. The experience is one we will never forget. A perfect start to our new lives together as a newly married couple.

Everything we imagined...from the stately Redwood out front to the wonderful gardens, fine food, great wine...and a perfect location!

This was my second stay at the Inn. The first time was a few years ago. It was even better than I remembered. On my prior stay I was with my husband for a romantic getaway. This trip was supposed to be a girls trip with my mother and sister. My sister was unable to go so Mom and I had the whole suite to ourselves. I few days before I arrived I met a man that had lived tehre as a child. Then found an entry in the journal from his sister. Really neat to get their impression of what has been done at the inn. All very favorable Marjorie adjusted the bill (I did not expect that at all)to reflect two guest instead of three. The food was outstanding. Loved the stuffed french toast -would be a great dessert. I have already started planning another stay with my husband. It is the best B and B I have stayed at. I can hardly wait for my next trip.

My daughter and I stayed at the Ollaliebery Inn for the second time. As usual, it is a perfect location for walking to dinner. Has a lovely creekside patio--perfect for wine and appetizers in the afternoon and amazing sheets on the beds--great night's sleep. Breakfast is so good that you can't help eating too much.

We stayed one night when we toured Hearst Castle. It's only about 10 - 15 minutes away. We had a great experience at this B&B. Breakfast was excellent, and we got a good recommendation to eat at Madeline's restaurant for dinner. The room was very nice. Thanks!

We are from the eastern US and had never been to this area of California before. Didn't really have a clue where to stay while visiting the Hearst Castle and the surrounding vicinity. This place was a great find. Good location, walking distance to a number of restaurants, etc in Cambria and an easy drive to San Simeon. The rooms and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was made with good quality ingredients and well presented. Larry was friendly and helpful. They serve complementary wine and tasty snacks from 5-6pm on the back porch/deck. It's just a very pleasant place to stay.

Wonderful room, amazing food, gracious hospitality... We have been staying at the Olallieberry Inn for years. Love the hospitality, peace and tranquility of Cambria. Marjorie, Marilyn, Larry, and Dirk continue to provide terrific food and wonderful, warm, service.

My stay at the Inn was terrific. I especially enjoyed the garden with it's variety of trees, plants, and flowers and it's ample seating for enjoying the view.

Room was very nice, breakfast was awesome, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed one night. I had high expectations and these were met. Garden was lovley, and communal breakfast excellent for food and conversation.

I have stayed at many B & B's, the Upham in Santa Barbara is one of my favorites and I have to say that this place was better. The food they served was fantastic, the people that run the place are friendly and warm, very accomodating. The room we stayed in was great, the bed comfortable and the sheets they have are like silk, perfect. You would be a fool if you didnt stay here. Sorry for being blunt, but you should really check this place out.

My first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast. It was a very relaxing and peaceful experience and the people working at the Inn we so very nice and friendly. I would definetely recommend this Inn to all my friends and will come back again in the future.

Our family stayed at the Olallieberry Inn last week on our trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco. All of the staff were friendly and the accomadations were great. We stayed in the large Creekside suite - perfect for a family - two teenage daughters. The breakfast was superb.

We stayed here after our visit to "the castle". My girlfriend made the tongue in cheek comment, "if this place were any cuter, I wouldn't be able to stay here." It is within walking distance of resturaunts and shops. The grounds were well kept and nicely laid out. The breakfast was very nice, and unlike most B&Bs - they put some real effort into cooking it. The people who run it were friendly and helpful. If I drive down the coast, I'm likely to stay here again.

My fiance and I stayed here over the July 4th weekend. Great food and hospitality. Nice "happy hour" in the back yard full of flowers. Bathroom was separate from room, but was private and just a few feet away. Would go back here again. Oh yeah... the sheets were the best ever, and we bought some from the Inn's supplier.

This is our 3rd stay at Olallieberry Inn. Beautiful location/grounds/garden, friendly staff, delicious fresh-cooked food, the list goes on. We'll see you again soon!

We stayed only one night in the Sunshine room and after we left, we wish we would have had more time to enjoy the place. The room was very comfortable, the backyard gardens very nice for the evening wine and cheese reception, and breakfast was delicious. A very good B&B experience.

Excellent B&B and surprising value, especially given this was a last minute reservation on a busy Summer Weekend.

It was a nice place...we stayed in the cottage, and it was clean, comfortable and quiet. Check-in was fine, but the intro tour of the facility and our room was a bit rushed. Breakfast was okay, but the company was better. We chatted with some very nice folks at the picnic table next to the kitchen. My husband and I love when we have the opportunity to stay at a B&B during our travels. We were driving down from SF, with our ultimate destination of Las Vegas and wanted a perfect in-between stop for a few days of R&R. He'd heard of Cambria because of the Hearst Castle, and I took charge to look for a lovely B&B. The reviews were stellar so I couldn't help but book our 2-night stay with Olallieberry. What can I say? I hope to go back again. I loved the hors d'oeuvres and wine hour in the evening; it was a great way not only to taste some amazing local wine, but to get to know fellow travellers in a nice and easy setting. We had lovely conversations and great dinner recommendations, which continued the next morning at the breakfast table. Speaking of breakfast.... Yummy! From a NYCer that has traveled and eaten at a lot of establishments, no one has anything on Larry's cooking! If you find yourself in Cambria and looking for a warm, charming place to stay, you will not be disappointed with Olliaberry.

Olallieberry Inn has become our meeting place for two friends, one in LA and one in SF. Innkeepers always provide a warm welcome, excellent & harty breakfasts and tasty afternoon treats, including wine & appetizers. The Inn is well situated for walking around town shops and relaxing in their garden next to the stream after your day's outing.

We loved our stay at the Ollalieberry Inn in Cambria CA. Loved the town and our walks along the gorgeous coast. And the Ollalieberry bucks - good deal; great dinner at Robin's Cafe. We were looking at Cambria as a possible place to retire to and the stay at the Olallieberry Inn made the task effortless! The staff was so helpful, making reservations, pointing out the beautiful moonlight beach, and checking to see that we had everything we needed. The inn was charming, just like the town itself.

We were looking for a place to get away for a long weekend and also to celebrate my birthday. I read two travel books and stumbled upon a town called Cambria. Olallieberry Inn was recommended by the two travel books I read: 1. Lonely Planet - titled "Coastal California" and 2. "Backroads of the California Coast" - Your guide to scenic gateways and adventures. I decided to visit its website to look at the pictures, check out the location and listen to video presentation by Marjorie. I was taken in by all these promotions that I immediately told my husband that I had found the place for our long weekend. We were so pleased with everything they offered especially their food and their friendliness. We will definitely come back in the future.

We stayed for two nights - it was perfect. The room was great, breakfast was great, and we meet some nice people. Will go back...high recommended.

Great house and backyard, quant and cosy. And quiet, considering it is only a few blocks from "down town". Used our olallieberry bucks and had a yummy lunch at Robin's....the Fiscalini Ranch Beach walk was amazing...

My girlfriend and I spent a 3 day getaway at Olallieberry Inn based on the reviews online. This establishment is run by some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. That along with breakfast far beyond what you would normally get. And one last thing. First time I slept on a memory foam mattress. Much more comfortable that I imagined with the added benefit that dust mites and bedbugs don't like them ;)

The kind of experience you want from a bed and breakfast. Ambiance is top notch. Easy walk to town for dinner. Dirk is the man when it comes to cooking an outstanding breakfast!! Marjorie is a wonderful host that knows all the local spots to recommend. If you find yourself in the Cambria area be sure to check this place out.

The Olallieberry Inn is a charming B&B with really nice hosts. Our room (At the Top) was comfortable and clean. The food (cookies, afternoon snacks & breakfast) was good, but not exceptional. We have stayed at B&Bs in other towns and in comparison have experienced better value for the money.

We celebrated wife's birthday May 11 and 12. Our stay in San Simeon room was awesome! The bed is so good, we bought one just like it. Food and personnel are perfect. You MUST try this place! Bob and Shirley Weller Visalia CA

A very homely B&B with a super comfy bed and unique decoration. A great spot for walking to local restaurants but save room for the breakfast, it was great, especially Larry's beans.

We spent the weekend in Cambria and wanted to try a Bed & Breakfast. The Olillieberry was a wonderful escape. The staff were so friendly and warm. The best part was the 5:00 wine and snacks where we met the most wonderful people. Breakfast was, also, a great place to talk with the other guests and the food was delicious, more than I expected. I would definitely recommend the Olillieberry to friends!

A friendly welcome, and San Simeon was our ground floor room. Wasn't keen on the glass bathroom door (ensuite, but some things I like to keep private!) and the bathtub certainly wasn't big enough for two! Excellent wine, cheese, dips, etc. served at 5pm on the deck, with a chance to meet other guests. A short walk to plenty of restaurants - we would recommend Robin's for atmosphere, service and excellent food. Breakfast was in two sittings - 8am or 9.15, and we chose the early one - excellent food, but did feel rather rushed for the table to be cleared for the next sitting. Despite some negative comments, we would recommend this place.

My husband and I wanted a one night getaway during the week to relax and wind down. The Olallieberry Inn was the perfect stay! Innkeeper Larry was an exceptional host, very friendly and warm. The Hors D'oeuvres and wine were great! The breakfast was scrumptious and wonderful. Then we enjoyed a pleasant time reading outside in the serene garden listening to the creek just below. We will definitely go back.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Olallieberry Inn since we were in town to see Hearst Castle. The staff is very friendly, the whole inn is very clean, and the breakfast was outstanding. The only nit, and it's a small one, is that the doors to the rooms don't seal out light from the hallway well.

Attended a wedding in Paso Robles. This is our second stay at the Olallieberry.

Had a lovely time in a well-appointed room. Delicious breakfast.

Marjorie's gourmet breakfast was a wonderful start to the day. Coffee could be a lot stronger though. Gardens were beautiful and a delight to sit in.

Good breakfast, best yogurt and beans I ever tasted! No meat offered but plenty to eat. Pastries were good but juice was from concentrate. Pillow was flat as a pancake and unless you count the shams we only had one per person so you couldn't double up. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location and even though we were right on the road we really didn't hear any traffic. We were downstairs and could hear every footstep from upstairs but it didn't keep us awake. No TV or refrigerator in the room. Gas fireplace worked great.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Inn. Staff/owners were helpful, meeting all of our needs and requests.

Dirk was an outstanding host and very helpful when we pulled in during a rain shower with our two teen-aged daughters and elderly mother. We had a quiet dinner at the Wild Ginger while the mother rested and the girls did their homework. And breakfast was wonderful! Delicious!

Very nice stay. We arrived after a long day of driving and a tour of Hearst Castle. It was a pleasant evening and after a hearty delicious breakfast we headed north to take in the gorgeous views of Big Sur along our route to San Francisco. What a great trip!

My mother and I had an amazing time in Cambria staying at the Olallieberry Inn! The owners of the inn are wonderful people that make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. They serve crackers and cheese and wine in the early evenings that gives you time to meet the other guests. The sheets in the room are incredibly comfortable. The breakfast is served at a long table that all the guests gather at and is absolutely delightful and plentiful! My mom and I loved our stay and would recommend spending a weekend at the Olallieberry Inn without hesitation!

It's about Marjorie, Marilyn & Larry keeping this historic house alive, filled with warmth, and charm, and laughter. Olallieberry Inn has become our home away from home because we felt like we were visiting good friends. Thanks for the memories!

This was my first time at a bed and breakfast and it greatly exceeded all expectations. The room was big and clean, and warm! The breakfast they served was different each day and had a special touch by the owner. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The Olallieberry is a charming old house turned B & B. The bed was very, very comfortable (nice linens) and the bathroom was spacious. The house is old, so our room had quite a downward tilt by the window, and the water temp in the shower fluctuated quite a bit. If you like everything new and perfect, this wouldn't be the place for you. But it has charm and personality. The innkeepers are exceptionally personable and treat you like long lost friends. The breakfast is fabulous. Trust me, you WILL overeat because it's all fresh, homemade and scrumptious. The coffee could be stronger for our tastes, but they had it ready for early risers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Inn is in a beautiful spot, quite location yet very close to town. It is an easy walk to all parts of Cambria West. Marjorie and Larry serve a wonderful breakfast and it easy to join in conversations at the family style seating. The same friendly atmosphere is experienced at the evening wine and cheese serving. Oh, and it is a perfect spot to get married. The hosts love to make your day very special.

We will be doing more B&B in the future. Cambria area is great.

My wife and I found the Olallieberry Inn very friendly and charming. It reminded us of the house we lived in when we were stationed in England. Larry was our host for breakfast and not only was the food good, but also the conversation . We would recommend staying here when in the area.

This is a lovely B&B with a beautiful creekside setting and yet still close to town. We were cared for warmly and graciously.

This was our second visit to the Olallieberry Inn in Cambria CA. Marilyn, Marjorie, Larry, Dirk and Margarita are the best. What warm wonderful people who can't do enough to make your stay both at their inn and in Cambria a wonderful experience. The rooms are all charming, most have private bathrooms, some overlook the back yard which is beautifully landscaped and the creek below can always be heard. We stayed in the Sunrise room which is in the smaller house, not in the main house. It seems to be quieter. The Sunrise Room has a nice bright airy feeling. A bonus is the outside private porch overlooking the creek. The breakfasts are just wonderful. I especially love the fruit with Olallieberry Yogurt, and the home made Granola. The Danish and scones are home made and not heavy like one finds in bakery prepared items. The egg dishes are great and Marjorie explains each dish with such enthusiasm. When we were there, one of the guests had a dietary issue and Marjorie made him something he could eat, without batting an eye. Nothing is too much for the staff to be accomodating. They really go out of their way. One can tell all of the staff love what they do. The appetizers in the afternoon are also wonderful. I would prefer a better wine selection and wine from the Paso Robles area. (local) Sitting outside sipping wine in the beautiful gardens and hearing the creek from below just add to the already great ambiance. Just wonderful caring people who love what they do and it shows. For a very special treat be sure to book a massage with Marilyn. That lady has real talent. I will always book a massage when staying here, it's a must! The massage is given in the reception room but closed off and very private when getting a massage. It's very special. Stay here you will not be sorry.

We love the Olallieberry Inn. This was our 5th stay and each time it has been a relaxing and memorable stay. We always look at the other B & B's in town - but come back to the Olallieberry! Great room, garden and Marjorie is a wealth of information about the area.

Marjorie and Larry made sure our stay at the Olallieberry Inn was a memorable one. Fresh oatmeal cookies on arrival! Couldn't make it for the happy hour, so Marjorie put aside a lovely plate for us to enjoy later. Breakfast spread was amazing (creme brulee french toast!), and since our stay fell on Christmas, Marjorie put out little holiday treat baskets to greet us in the morning. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

My wife is a very busy woman, she has a full time job, and has an intership 3x a week, she is completing her Masters, and is also pregnant so she needed some serious downtime plus it was her birthday that weekend. This place was awesome, gave us some private time to ourselves, had a little picnic and also got her a 1 hour massage. It was worth the every minute of it!!

Good service, food & wine, beautiful garden. I think the all synthetic bed linen should be upgraded on this rate.

Everything had a limit. A note welcome up to 2 glasses of wine. Cocktail hour had dip, a spread and a chees mix all out of a container. Very minimal from the room to the service.
