The Historic Ellison, previous home to Jim Morrison, Laurel & Hardy, Clara Bow and May West is just steps away from the ocean and Venice Beach boardwalk. This building has beautiful hardwood floors, exposed brick, full kitchens and vintage bathrooms with claw-foot tubs. There are so many exciting things to see and do in Venice. You can take a stroll along the boardwalk where there are restaurants, shopping and a variety of entertainment and we are also within walking/biking distance from Abbot Kinney, Santa Monica pier and Third Street Promenade. The Ellison Suites offers fully furnished One-Bedroom Apartments & Ocean View Suites. A newly built rooftop deck offers majestic ocean views and city views.

We stayed in the Ellison for 5 nights. The room completely exceeded our expectations, we expected a worn version of the photographs but instead we found the room to be spacious and clean with some very cute and quirky little furnishings- a real vintage feel to the whole place. The room had everything we needed, large double bed, living area, kitchen with all utensils, bathroom and storage area, TV etc. The location was literally steps from the beach, close to lots great places to eat and visit. There was secure under ground parking for an additional cost of $12 a day which was about a 2 minute walk from the apartments. The owner was very friendly and gave us helpful advice on where to go and what to see as we had never been to the area. We felt very safe in this building and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area looking for somewhere cheerful to stay!
