Katherine was more than helpful and made my short stay very personal and a real delight. She lent me a bike and filled me with wine in the evening. Highly recommendable.

This was our very first time staying at a b&b and it was phenomenal! Our honeymoon consists of a drive up the PCH and we have several B&Bs reserved along the way and this one has certainly set the bar high!! I loved every minute of our stay. Andrea, our hostess, stayed up late to greet us as we were coming in from our wedding. She is extremely nice and very hospitable. She goes above and beyond to make this a special experience. We were sad that we only booked this place for one night. I would have loved to taste more of her amazing food, which by the way is provided in abundance. We were not at all hungry for lunch, thats how full we were!!!! I would def. come back if ever given the opportunity!! :)

The guest house was clean, comfortable, & spacious. The food: delicious & filling. 5 stars! And the hosts, Andrea & Katherine, were the best part!! They were so accommodating and generous. My wife & I wanted to see a show at a local play house; they not only helped us get discount tickets, they picked the tickets up for us. Great place, even better people!!

Andrea and Katherine are excellent hosts and ensured that our stay exceeded our expectations. The breakfasts were amazing and their hospitality and beautiful accommodation was exceptional. They could have done no more to make our stay memorable and we would certainly recommend and return.

We´ve spent 3 nights at Palms Guest House as a party of 3 and had a great time! After travelling for 3 weeks it was a very pleasant end of our vacation. Andrea Mesi was a wonderful host, who not only served an excellent breakfast but also gave us lots of inspirations for our stay. The room was so spacious, clean and with so many amenities - we felt at home from the first moment on. Thanks a lot and as we said, we hope to be back one day. If only the flight wasn´t so long.

My husband and I stayed at the Palms Guest house last week, and were amazed by the fantastic quality of not only the service, but the guest house itself, and the amazing breakfasts! Andrea and Katherine were extremely welcoming, and very helpful in directing us toward interesting things to do in L.A. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area, and would recommend it to anyone!

if they will be staying in Venice Beach the same time as you. These wonderful ladies have only one guest room and you will want it for yourself. Not only for the large, comfortable room with every amenity you can think of (and some you haven't even thought of yet), but also for the excellent home made breakfasts and delightful talks over coffe with the most gracious, accomodating hosts of any of the b&b's we have ever stayed at. I confess, neither of us wanted to leave. Andrea and Katherine, we can't wait to come back. L and L

The place itself is beautiful, and spacious, packed with windows and decks and -- while we were there -- perfect sunshine.

We liked a lot this very charming B&B. We have seen many places in european and north american countries and this was definitely one of the best ones and is highly recommended. We got - a lot of useful hints (restaurants, tourist info) - a very good breakfast - a very comfortable bed in a spaceous room and a lot more. Further the location is excellent - not too far from Venice Beach, Santa Monica, and Airport. The neighborhood is friendly, and some restaurants are in walking distance (10 Minutes). Day and night the place was very quiet - that helped a lot in overcoming the jetlag in a short time. Thanks for the hospitality!

My wife and I stayed 4 nights here and had a great stay. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with three balconies. There is free WiFi in the room and we had free use of 2 bikes which we used on an all day bike ride along the beaches. Katherine and Andrea were very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great suggestions on places to visit and things to do. The breakfasts were different each day and all were excellent. They were good hosts and interesting and friendly people to talk with. We would go back again for sure and highly recommend this Guest House.

The two sisters who run Palms Guest House are very friendly, helpful and wonderful cooks. We've stayed in many hotels and b&b's in the Santa Monica area and this is by far the best.

This is a very comfortable B&B and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. They also are gourmet cooks and the food was outstanding. The place is charming, modern and comfortable. Both my husband and I highly recommend it.

An absolute delight in every way! Due to plane delays we arrived very late but were still graciously received by Katherine and handed the key to truly warm, clean and very spacious guest quarters which immediately made us forget the long and tiring trip getting there. The bed, the shower, the balcony … all are amazing and every morning we were invited into our hosts dining room for fresh fruit, pancakes and sausages one day, french toast the other and a daily copy of the local newspaper made sure we were up to date with the goings on around town. We’ll be back!!!

Andrea and Katherine, made us feel welcome from the very first handshake. We have been travelling around the US for the last month and a half and feel we know a little about spending the night somewhere! We spent 3 nights here...location to so many areas great.....quiet and relaxing.....breakfast; just come and try....photos do not do it justice.

My husband and I stayed 5 days over Thanksgiving, 2011, to meet our new grandson. Our daughter lives nearby and recommended it. So convenient, quiet, so perfect. In follow up to another review, there are drawers now. We can't think of anything that is needed, and concur with the other rave reviews. When you walk into the room, it feels spacious, light, and welcoming, with a soft breeze available by just opening a window. Balconies if you want to relax outdoors. The breakfasts were outstanding. Andrea and Katherine are wonderful hostesses and we even met their gracious mother. There were surprises and treats and they accommodated any anticipated need in advance. Lovely neighborhood. We walked for miles. We felt so pampered, yet like family. Everything was so spotless in our guesthouse and I loved going to their home and environment every morning. This is a gem and so are Katherine and Andrea. We will go back. I wish it was today!

My wife and I stayed here on a January 2012 weekend. Not knowing what to expect, we were delighted by the very large, very clean, beautifully decorated room. We also appreciated the amount of light pouring in. The only "negative" was the lack of a bath tub, though the shower was fine. Here are a few other things that made this a great place to stay: 1) Very large and comfortable bed with luxurious sheets. 2) A delicious breakfast where we were offered choices to accommodate our dietary needs. 3) A pleasant neighborhood setting, accessible to everything we needed. 4) Reasonable pricing for LA. 5) An exercise area that was like having your own fitness club! 6) Lots of extras (towels, robes, tissues, shampoo, toiletry items in case you forgot something). 7) Numerous books, pamphlets and maps to help visitors discover LA. 8) Very gracious hosts. We'll be back -in fact, we already made reservations!

Stay August 2011. We found it last minute(probably the price was even more competitive than usual).we were two couples and we stayed beautifully in the loft.the innkeepers were full of suggestions for visiting Venice-Santa Monica -LA.Breakfast was different and abundant everyday.We had almost every evening coming back complimentary cookies freshly baked!

We chose this B&B based on the rave reviews and can only agree with them all. We stayed four nights while visiting our daughter, a first trip to LA. Loved the spaciousness, quiet location, decor, and delicious breakfasts. So much nicer than a hotel room, and more private than most b&b's. The hosts are the icing on the cake: so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. A loan of bicycles was a great treat. Thank you Katherine and Andrea!

We stayed at the Palms for a week while visiting our son who lives in Culver City. This is a perfect location for Hollywood, the Getty Museum, Marina del Ray, Venice, and Santa Monica - as well as Los Angeles downtown! The "room" is a very spacious living area, where we could spend hours without feeling cramped or hemmed in as we would have in a hotel room. The breakfast was gourmet - EVERY day, with elegant linens and every amenity provided. The hosts were extremely accomodating and helpful with suggestions, directions and recommendations. Only one, minor thing would have made it better: DRAWERS! There were no dressers or drawers for clothing, and staying for a whole week it would have been so nice to be able to sort out our clothing better. There was a closet for hanging things, and the bathroom had tons of space and storage, just no dressers for underclothes, jewelry, etc. We'd go back in a minute!

I have traveled quite extensively and have seldom arrived at a new B&B where I felt at home so quickly. The suite is clean, airy and full of light. The breakfasts were all gourmet, and the sweet dispositions and delightful conversations with the innkeepers was more than I could have ever hoped for. I love these beautiful sisters.

This bed and breakfast is a true gem. When I arrived in the late afternoon, I was warmly greeted by both of the two sisters who are the owners and hostesses. The offered me cookies, cheese and fruit, and wine. The bed and breakfast unit is over the garage and separate from the main house, so it is very private. The unit is very large, with high ceilings, and a loft with an extra bed + trundle. There are three balconies. The whole unit is filled with light, and the ocean breezes provide great ventilation. The breakfasts are delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit. The hostesses are happy to tailor the breakfasts to individual taste. They are also very knowledgeable about what to do and see in Venice and the surrounding area. Palms Guest House definitely deserves five stars. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Our hosts were wonderful. The room is beautiful and very spacious. The neighborhood is very quiet and the breakfast is absolutely delightful. Thanks a lot to Andrea and Katherine. We will come back.

The guest house has the comfort and ambiance of a luxury cottage. The amenities are all first cabin and then some. The cool breezes of a beach community and the ultra-comfortable bed will lull you off to sleep almost as soon as your head touches the "indulgence" pillows. I sipped my morning coffee on one of the three decks before descending to the main house for a finely prepared and delicious breakfast; complete with coffee of choice, paper and served on linens with silver and china service (breakfast can be tailored to individual preferences/needs). The hostesses, Andrea and Katherine are delightful and made the stay all the more memorable. They are extremely knowledagble regarding the arts, music, outdoor activities, places of interest, dining, sightseeing, etc. and are excellent advisors on what to do and see in both the local and surrounding areas. I can't wait to go back!

The innkeepers are not only exceptional hosts but serve an outstanding breakfast meal. Accomodations are roomy and relaxing, yet not far from the beach as well as the many other Venice attractions. The innkeepers proved to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful in pointing out places of interest. We stayed nearly a week. Delightful.
