This is the second time we have stayed here. Juli, the owner, is exceptionally friendly and makes a great breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated and one feels definitely like a member of the last century's high society. Grounds are lush, pool looks inviting although we did not use it, and location is great if you are looking for a place to stay in this part of Los Angeles. Highly recommend.

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to stay at Bissell House before my acupuncture licensing exam. It was the perfect place to relax and get a good night's sleep before this major life experience! Juli was so accommodating! It was a bit chilly this time of year and she lit the fireplace to keep the tea room cozy. I even brought take-out for dinner back just to sit by the fire. Juli graciously rose early to prepare an early breakfast for me prior to my exam. My room was warm, cozy, quiet, and had a view of the wonderful pool area plus a nice sitting area so I could do some light review prior to the exam. And, having the sweet poodle Duke around was so relaxing...such a sweetie! I felt relaxed and ready for my big exam. I will return to spend more time and celebrate passing my exam! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! Cassandra

Lovely B&B and breakfast the 1st day was great, 2nd day below our expectations. All in all still had a very nice time and the proprietors are wonderful

There was duct tape sloppily applied to a heating vent, and lots of leaky faucets. Still, the place is beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious.

Fun people performing the difficult task of operating a historic B&B to perfection.

Beautiful area, amazing home, interesting history. Wonderful innkeepers, including " Duke ". It says a lot when 11 people 9 of them strangers, come down to a beautiful breakfast with big smiles and stories of how great they slept !! We all talked and laughed and went on our separate journeys. Looking forward to a second visit in summer to see the grounds in full bloom. Thank You !!

I work for Marriott, but couldn't find a room for my recent stay so I decided to try this B&B. What a wonderful experience! Juli;s hospitality was first class, and the accommodations were wonderful. My only regret is that I checked in late and had to leave early the next morning, so I couldn't take advantage of all that this beautiful home had to offer. Have already recommended it to several friends/relatives.

My husband and I visited Pasadena to see our first grandchild! The gals at the Bissell House were so welcoming! The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was divine and we even enjoyed our conversation with the other guests while we ate. If we are in Pasadena again, we will make plans to stay here!
