Room and common room very comfortable. Decor was really charming. The hosts were helpful and accommodating. We would definately like to stay here again. The only negatives is we wished there were more blankets and the shower curtain had a big tear in it.
We are glad you were comfortable during your stay over the holidays. You will be interested to know that we already replaced the torn shower curtain and will add another blanket as well. The central heat normally keeps guests warm and toasty but your suggestion is a good one just in case. Hope to see you again!

My husband and I have stayed at the Elliott house bed and breakfast twice now. Both times were wonderful. The rooms are each unique and cozy. They have very soft comfortable feather beds with down comforters. The room is heated by a gas log fire place. I love staying there because it is such a cozy and relaxing place. The owners are also wonderful and hospitable. They always have complimentary snacks, cookies and drinks available in the main house. And their gourmet breakfast is to die for. They make a baked apple and pear pancake that I love to eat everytime I stay. I really recommend staying here. Is only 15 away from China peak and is the perfect getaway.

The Elliott House has always gone above and beyond our expectations and our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday was perfect. The cabin was so clean and the kitchen was full of everything we could think of. The amenities are always top notch which my family and I really appreciate it. I would highly recommend the bed and breakfast and also the fuilly furnished cabins

This was husband and I's first bed and breakfast. We decided to have a weekend getaway once a year after our daughter was born. I was extremely happy with my choice at Elliot's House. We spent time hiking and at the lake before we checked in. We had a great welcome and felt comfortable...like we were at home. The little amenities were an added plus. I really enjoyed the coffee and treats out for you to enjoy at all hours. We felt like little kids sneaking out for a snack. Haha. Anyway, I have 5 stars on every category for the great room and hospitality. We didn't have a chance to eat breakfast here as we were headed out pretty quickly the following day but I've heard nothing but good things about the freshly prepared meals. Thank you Elliots House for making our stay as enjoyable as you did. :)

We so want to thank Joanne and Greg for another delightful stay. You saved us from camping with our kids, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. While they battled pit toilets and not great showers we were in the lap of luxury. We still had all the fun with them all during the day, but were glad to retreat to the Elliott House for all the comforts of home, but a much better breakfast than we'll ever make. I'm still dreaming about the cherry tart you had out in the evening when we got back from the lake. We felt so welcome and thank you so much for all the extra kindnesses you offered. Thank you for your kind hospitality, Joanne and Greg
We were delighted to see you again this summer. Thank you for your wonderful comments. While you were here you requested our recipe for the caramelized nectarine and blueberry pancake. We hope you enjoy serving that to your family. It's particularly special during the holidays when you have a big hungry crowd.

Overall a great place to stay. The breakfast and service were outstanding. The rooms were a little small. In addition, both the Sugar Pine and Loose Goose need new mattresses. They severely sagged and this just wasn't acceptable at the price we paid. Also, the water had a slight iron taste and smell.
Thank you for your review. We have upgraded our bedding since your comment. As for the water, it comes from local wells and actually is very pure, with no chemical additives, including chlorine needed. Naturally there are minerals in well water. In all of our suites we have always provided complimentary bottled water for our guests.

The Elliots' were great hosts, the meals just kept getting better and better with each day. Amenities were right up there with the best B&B in California. Local steakhouse was amazing - didn't expect that in a very small town. We would most likely give this location 4.5 stars out of 5.
Thanks you for your special comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay here with us! It's guests like you that make this a gratifying career. Take care.

This was Joy’s and I tenth year in a row. It seems to get better ever year. The rooms, food and the hospitality of Joanne & Greg are exceptionally great. Larry & Joy Kirk
You guys are the greatest! Over the years we have certainly become friends. The 4th of July weekend wouldn't be the same without you here, that's for sure. We look forward to sharing great conversations and laughs when you are here next year too.
