    A fantastic find!

    October 26, 2012

Recently stayed here for 5 days as the hotels close to the San Diego Convention Center were expensive, and availability was limited. I took a chance in staying here and it was totally worth it. I arrived at midnight and Chuck received me promptly, gave a business card with his cellphone, internet access, and door lock combination. I also got a set of keys so I could go in as needed. He provided every request I made - ironing board, toothpaste, razor, even hair gel! I had a private bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. Clean towels and sheets were available daily. He asked what type of convention I was attending (medical convention) and said "oh, then you will have to leave early, so breakfast will be ready earlier than usual". And what a breakfast! Granola cereal with fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, toast, bagels, coffee, juice - the man even had protein shakes in the fridge. This was every day! All this would have cost $20 or more in a hotel. Walking to the convention center took 20-30 minutes, which made me exercise during my stay. He was honest and did not suggest I walk back at night, as there are some rough spots along the way. Privacy was guaranteed and was never interrupted in my room. During my stay, there was a couple from Sweden who were traveling through the United States, and another convention attendee from Holland, and all of us were treated as VIP. This was my first "Bed and Breakfast" experience, and thanks to the great service, will not be the last. I highly recommend the Historical Manor if staying in San Diego.

    We will be Back!!!!!!!!!

    July 02, 2012

My husband and I visited San Diego for medical purposes and had the pleasure of staying at Chuck's place. Our stay there was fantastic! It was comfortable, felt like home, exceptionally clean and the beds were awesome. It was a great stay and one that we definitely will do again. Not only is the condo the right place to stay, the owner of the building is a rare find, hospitable, honest and caring people and will do everything in their power to make your stay pleasant. Our husband and I would recommend this rental property at any time.
