The owners did a wonderful job taking care of us. The breakfast was delicious, the room was perfect and clean. The tv was easy to use. The views were spectacular. The owners had a great knowledge of their area (Oakhurst) and of Yosemite. We would not hesitate staying there again.

We (a couple with two teenage sons) had a wonderful stay at Lori's and Bruce's place. They are great hosts paying attention to their guests' particular needs. They gave us valuable hints for our day trips. The breakfast was just outstanding.

Nice place to stay, clean bedroom, very nice view. 3 points that dissapointed us : it's one hour away drive from yosemite valley. there is no flap on windows, so in the morning the light comes in the room. we couldn't use the laundry + we had to take "quick" showers due to water restrictions.
California is in its 4th year of a drought. Our region is so dry that wells are drying up, and water must be trucked in to many locations. We are in the midst of 24 wildfires throughout Northern California. Our Water is being diverted to these fires. We ask all of our guest to conserve water and take short showers. We share with our guests where the local town laundry is that receives water. We all currently use this laundry source and not our (in home) personal laundry. WE ARE THE CLOSEST TOWN TO YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK! Our guests need to be aware just how BIG Yosemite is and that there is so much more to Yosemite than Yosemite Valley. From our B&B, we can see the Gateway to Yosemite. It doesn't get any closer than that... All of our guest rooms have curtains or drapes and windows that open to the view and fresh air. We do not have "dark shades" because most of our guests appreciate the view and fresh air. Our region has so much to offer...with or without the sparce water conditions. If you are planning a trip to any California region, do check the weather, the distances and the conditions that you will be working with. Be prepared to enjoy some of the simple joys that come with being outside of a large city.

Luz and Jorge from California, Just recently I stayed for two nights at this hotel when visiting the Yosemite national park. I was very surprise about the beautiful view , location, the room decoration, and most importantly how Bruce and Lorie welcome us on our arrival. They treated us as if we were at home with close friends around. Breakfast was abouslty delicious and we , at all times , had the company of a loving dog name zoey. :)

It's hard to tell how good it is in a few sentences. I would say the five star (out of five) rate is quite true and this place is really worth to try.
