A Bygone Era Beckons... Beautifully preserved, this legendary adobe consists of three suites, all historically furnished with the elegance reminiscent of another era. The Merritt House Inn is a Boutique Hotel/Country Inn. Each suite has a separate parlor and fireplace. The suites are nestled among towering magnolia, pepper, holly and olive trees. A grand old fig, a captivating rose garden and pridefully tended lawns make a tremendous contribution to the nostalgic atmosphere provided by this hospitable inn. In addition to the suites, the Merritt House offers twenty-two rooms, some with balconies overlooking private secluded gardens, all with fireplaces, color television, small refrigerator, coffemaker and other amenities. Also included is a sit-down continental breakfast served in the common room where guests meet and share their itineraries. High speed internet access is available in all of our rooms. Wireless high speed internet access is available in our executive rooms Located in the heart of Monterey, The Merritt House provides close proximity to the areas most well-known attractions. Within walking distance is the Monterey Conference Center, Fisherman's Wharf, and many fine shops and restaurants. Minutes away is the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, Steinbeck's Cannery Row, the popular 17-Mile Drive as well as many famous art galleries. Exploring the path of history (a walking tour) might be the preferred destination. The tour includes Monterey's oldest abodes - California's first capital. The Monterey Peninsula also offers many superb and championship golf courses.

Coming from San Francisco Driving South on Highway 101 Take the "Monterey Peninsula" exit onto 156 West. This will turn into Hwy 1 South. Approaching Monterey, you will exit at "Pacific Grove-Del Monte Ave" (Home Depot will be on your left). Stay on Del Monte Ave for 11 stop lights. When you reach a fork in the road DO NOT GO RIGHT ! proceed straight. Ahead of you there is a small hill. Pacific St. is at the top of this hill, turn left onto Pacific St. We are the first driveway on the right hand side. We are at 386 Pacific St. Coming from Los Angeles Driving North on Highway 101 Take the "Monterey Peninsula" exit at Abbott St in Salinas turn left. At the fifth stop light turn left on Blanco Rd to Hwy 68 West. It will take you straight to "Monterey Only" exit sign. At stop light turn right onto "Camino Aguajito". You will go through on stop sign by lake El Estero at "3rd St". The next stop light is Del Monte Ave. (Camino ends) where you turn left. On Del Monte Ave stay in the left lane (at fork in the road DO NOT GO RIGHT) proceed straight. Ahead of you there is a small hill. Pacific St. is at the top of this hill, You turn left onto Pacific St. We are the first driveway on the right hand side. We are at 386 Pacific St.
