'Who needs the Ritz?' That's the message on one of the many customer thank-you notes that line the front desk at the Cinnamon Bear Inn. Guests praise the friendly B&B atmosphere of this village lodge, tucked off Main Street next to a large wooded area. You don't have to sacrifice comfort and style for coziness, though, the rooms at the lodge feature four-poster beds, full baths, and cable TV. There's even an outdoor Jacuzzi. A full breakfast and wine and cheese are also included . A friendly, fun place to stay in Mammoth Lakes.

Great hosts! Very friendly! Lovely freshly made breakfast! Good location. Nice room! A couple of things in room needed rectification.

This place was great, as were the friendly and attentive folks who run it. Given the price point, it definitely exceeded my expectations. It was perfect for our purposes: We spent a week backpacking the Ansel Adams Wilderness and needed an inexpensive, but well-maintained, place to crash after exiting. We --- or, rather, my girlfriend --- could not have chosen better. The inn was cute and clean. And, again, the owners were great: welcoming, friendly, and concerned that things were as they needed to be. The only thing that was out of sorts was the outdoor hot tub (which didn’t matter to us, and certainly didn’t detract from our visit); otherwise, everything was ship-shape. Two things that this place isn’t. First, it’s not a generic chain. If you like your hotels to be exactly the same every time, to have that “I’ve been here a thousand times in a thousand places” sort of mono-blah, then this isn’t the place for you. If, on the other hand, you like one-off places with character and charm, then look no further. Second, obviously it’s not the Ritz-Carlton. If you need things to be posh like Buckingham Palace . . . well, then, you’re probably not looking at this price point, anyway. But, judged from any more reasonable perspective, the Cinnamon Bear is spiffy. Fits into its surroundings nicely, too. Final bonuses. The mixed-berry pancakes were indeed righteous. (And pancakes don’t normally do much for me.) That the Premier League was playing silently on a small TV in the lounge was, for me, the cherry on top. One last hurrah for the fine people who run the place: As friendly, welcoming, and easygoing as you could ask --- while obviously hardworking and diligent at keeping the place in fine form. Our next trip to Mammoth Lake will undoubtedly find us at the Cinnamon Bear.

After a long drive we arrived at the comfortable and friendly Inn. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The manager, Rudy, was extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to help us. We had dinner in a nearby restaurant (within walking distance) which was very good.

This bed and breakfast has extremely polite and helpful staff. The bathroom was very clean as was the bedding. However, the room would have benefitted from being well aired, room had a stuffy smell but this dissipated when the door and window were opened.

A delightful and affordable gem in Mammoth! Great food, friendly staff, cozy rooms. Would return again and again.

The very helpful owners of Cinnamon B & B made this a very nice stay. Our room was smallish and in a row of rooms, more like a motel. Two queen beds and a tiny table and two straight chair (and no dresser) filled it up. But it had a cute pot-bellied gas stove, an outside hot tub and a very convenient - off the main drag - location.

Comfort is a subjective value, but cleanliness is a measurable one. The overall premises in this bed and breakfast was the worst experience ever for me and my family. Our "deluxe room" view on the trash containers on the other side of the road completed the picture. Enough was enough and we could not decently sleep in this place and left for the motel 6, which looked like a Hilton in comparison. We forgot to sign our names on the dust layer of the chimney in the dining room before we left. A real shame.

I got to this hotel way before check in but they still let me have the breakfast and got us into a room within 2 hours. The owners are awesome people and I would defiantly recommend staying here the outside looks a little broken down but the inside is very nice and it's right in town too!
