Who needs to pay resort fees? Our guests never have. That's the message on one of the many customer thank-you notes that line our front desk at the Cinnamon Bear Inn. Guests praise the friendly B&B atmosphere of our Inn, tucked off Main Street next to a large wooded area. You don't have to sacrifice comfort and style for coziness, though, the rooms at the lodge feature four-poster beds, full baths, and cable TV. There's even an outdoor Jacuzzi. A full breakfast is included. A friendly, fun place to stay in Mammoth Lakes.

My bed was so comfortable and I loved the fireplace. This was a great value. Home cooked breakfast in the morning was the topping on the cake. The rooms can be small for a family but the Inn has big room you can hang out in. I will return next year.

We have been staying at the Cinnomin Bear for over 25 years. It is always clean and homey and the breakfast is the best part. We have stayed other places (hotels/motels) when Cinnomin Bear has been booked and we always kick ourselves for not having made an early reservation. You can't go wrong by staying here.

I reserved a room for 2. The room was pretty small, but I liked it and it accommodated me and my boyfriend and all of our snowboard gear. It's centrally located - easy walk to the shuttle stop and nearby cafes. The breakfast and snack hour was great! Everyone was really friendly.

Stayed here for our ski trip and we found it very convenient. We're planning on coming back during the summer!

The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is very convenient. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The only thing that I would like to see for them to bring one notch up is the breakfast. The breakfast was very basic. May be it's me but the whole appeal of a bed and breakfast is to have a nice room with a nice breakfast. The room was great, the breakfast can definitely be better.

It was great. Room was nice, especially the fireplace. Food was wonderful, Rudy the inn keeper is one of the nicest guy you will ever meet. It was ALMOST perfect.... However, I felt very itchy after the stay, and we suspect that the bed is dated and it might have bed bugs. If they can improve on that, It will be perfect!

This place was great, as were the friendly and attentive folks who run it. Given the price point, it definitely exceeded my expectations. It was perfect for our purposes: We spent a week backpacking the Ansel Adams Wilderness and needed an inexpensive, but well-maintained, place to crash after exiting. We --- or, rather, my girlfriend --- could not have chosen better. The inn was cute and clean. And, again, the owners were great: welcoming, friendly, and concerned that things were as they needed to be. The only thing that was out of sorts was the outdoor hot tub (which didn’t matter to us, and certainly didn’t detract from our visit); otherwise, everything was ship-shape. Two things that this place isn’t. First, it’s not a generic chain. If you like your hotels to be exactly the same every time, to have that “I’ve been here a thousand times in a thousand places” sort of mono-blah, then this isn’t the place for you. If, on the other hand, you like one-off places with character and charm, then look no further. Second, obviously it’s not the Ritz-Carlton. If you need things to be posh like Buckingham Palace . . . well, then, you’re probably not looking at this price point, anyway. But, judged from any more reasonable perspective, the Cinnamon Bear is spiffy. Fits into its surroundings nicely, too. Final bonuses. The mixed-berry pancakes were indeed righteous. (And pancakes don’t normally do much for me.) That the Premier League was playing silently on a small TV in the lounge was, for me, the cherry on top. One last hurrah for the fine people who run the place: As friendly, welcoming, and easygoing as you could ask --- while obviously hardworking and diligent at keeping the place in fine form. Our next trip to Mammoth Lake will undoubtedly find us at the Cinnamon Bear.

After a long drive we arrived at the comfortable and friendly Inn. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The manager, Rudy, was extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to help us. We had dinner in a nearby restaurant (within walking distance) which was very good.
Rustic New England colonial decor. Private baths, forested views, and an outdoor Jacuzzi. Quiet area and quick access to skiing. Close to restaurants and shopping.
Great for those not sleeping together. Rooms have two beds, some with two doubles and some with a queen and twin bed.
