We offer you a rich history, an intoxicating experience of the decadence of 'Old Hollywood' and the extravagant luxury of Louis XVI furnishings along with superlative hospitality. We invite you into Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson's colossal legacy. Our majestic Victorian, Southern mansion was originally owned by the late Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, an American comedian and actor who appeared in over sixty motion pictures. His most famous role was Rochester van Jones, known simply as "Rochester" the valet of Jack Benny on his T.V. show The Jack Benny Program. His career earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Anderson was a great connoisseur. From training his winning race horses to creating lucrative real estate investments, he had the Midas touch for transforming business ventures into unprecedented successes. Today, the Rochester is owned and managed by his son Eddie "Rochester" Anderson Jr., who continues to follow in his father's monumental footsteps and to welcome people from all over the world with true hospitality. The Rochester will stop you in your tracks with its classical façade. Its seven elegantly furnished well-lit bedrooms and master suites will glow even in the wee hours of the night. Antique chandeliers, an indoor fireplace and a bar decorate the newly refurbished living room with a Rococo charm. Whether you're looking for a vacation for you while you tour our beautiful city or for corporate lodgings, or perhaps even for the perfect place to celebrate the holidays or your special occasions, the Rochester's unique facilities can accommodate you. We boast an excellent location for photo shoots, music videos and also for bringing your films to life. Contact us for more information.
Fitted with a miniature library and full bed, Annabelle’s room is an image of Victorian luxury. Dark wooden furnishings procure a sense of deep comfort, while the petit crystal chandelier, aided by 2 antique lamps, blankets the room in a warm light.

The pink and violet walls of pastel, paint an aura of joy and innocence in the Rose room. The beautiful tray ceiling, with inlayed lights, hoovers over an enchanting full bed. Two sets of white French doors open on to a balcony, looking over the pool and backyard. In the room, the west door leads to the solarium and the east door, to the gorgeous bathroom.
A king size bed with stunningly carved legs and posts, characterizes the grandeur of Victoria’s room. Beautiful wooden furniture, a lounging chair with an ottoman and a golden-framed mirror on the fireplaces’ mantel, exhibit the wealth of this great estate. A short hallway of tall cabinets harbors a feeling coziness in the ‘en-suite’ dressing room, which leads back into the bedroom. This suite starts at $350 per/night.
Tiled floors, French doors and high ceilings define Alexandra’s Room, on the first floor of what were once the servant’s quarters. An earth toned ‘en suite’ bathroom rests in the far corner, sporting a spacious shower. With a private outer entrance and an indoor entrance leading directly from the kitchen. This suite starts at $150 per/night.
At the top of the stairs in the servant’s quarters, Catherine’s room sits directly above Alexandra’s’. And with the abundant space, the suite can be converted into a dorm (upon advanced request). The bathroom, which contains a Jacuzzi tub and stand-alone shower, nestled behind two sliding doors, is attached to it’s own large dressing room and is directly across from the room. I was at Rochester's for a number of weeks. The fact that I did not have to put in a deposit, and that I could afford the rates, was very helpful to me. When I arrived I was able to access the Metro with my bicycle in just a few minutes, and find my way around Los Angeles while I got established. Many travelers came through there, and I was able to meet a number of interesting people.
