The Historic Requa Inn is the ideal accommodation for your vacation in Redwood National Park offering a spectacular river view, comfortable yet simple rooms, delicious dinners made by our creative Chefs, a meal not to be missed! We request 24 hour reservations, all meals are prefixe and made fresh daily, camaraderie with other guests with a real sense of belonging. Built as a 22-room hotel in 1914, the building is now a country inn with 13 charming rooms, each with a private bath, with lots of space in common areas for reading and conversation. Our guests are hikers and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds from all over the world. Join us this season!
Two small bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed, with one bathroom shared by the two rooms. Bathroom includes a claw-foot tub with shower. Room occupancy not to exceed four. Pricing is based on double occupancy, please add $15/person for any additional guestsl.
Yurok Loop is our smallest and coziest room in the Inn. It features a full-size bed and private bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower. This room is best for early risers, as some kitchen noise can be heard as breakfast is prepared.
Hobbs Walls is an econmical and comfortable room that features a full bed (with a cast iron frame) and a small private bath with a calw foot tub. This room is perfect for the budget conscious guest. Hobbs Walls is right above the kitchen, so expect some noise in the morning (you'll also be the first to smell the bacon!)
Located in the southwest corner of the Inn, the Rhododendron Room has a river view, lovely natural light, an antique birds-eye maple queen bed set, and wallpaper that we believe is original to the 1914 building. The room’s private bath, built in the old water tower, is charming if small, and has a claw-foot tub and shower.
Redwood Creek is small but bright and comfortable. The room has a full-size four-poster bed and a private bath including a claw-foot tub with shower. Single occupancy is recommended unless you don’t mind being very cozy with your roommate. Maximum 2 people.
Cathedral Trees is arguably our most beautiful room. It features a queen-size birds-eye maple four-poster pillow-top bed and matching maple dresser. Twin antique velvet chairs provide a comfortable view of the river. A romantic claw-foot tub is situated with a river view as well. We used a white vessel sink mounted on an antique commode to create the look of the pitcher and basin that was probably the only water in the room when it was constructed in 1914 (ours does have running water!) In addition to the tub, this room has a separate bathroom with a toilet and 48-inch shower.
High on the hill is our 3-bedroom, two bath house. With expansive views of the Klamath River, the Redwood Park, and the Pacific Ocean, this charming one-story home has a deck and hot tub with a view, an open floor plan and large windows in the living room. Sleeps 6 comfortably with three bedrooms, one with a King bed, one Queen bed and two twin-beds. The Requa Inn's famous all you can eat, cooked to order breakfast is included for everyone. A beautiful kitchen is there for your use, ($50 cleaning deposit required)
In the northeast corner of the Inn, Hidden Beach is small, cozy and economical, with a beautiful antique walnut bed set. In spring and early summer, you can hear a gurgling brook outside your window. The room has a double bed and a private bath including a claw-foot tub with shower. Like Redwood Creek, this room is recommended for single occupancy, but 2 people are welcome if they don’t mind snug quarters.
Fern Canyon, a southeast corner room with an expansive view of the river, is our largest and most breathtaking room. It has a four-poster king-size bed and deluxe mattress. Often this is the room guests choose after touring all of them. The room’s only shortcoming is its small but functional private bath with claw-foot tub and shower. The smaller-than-standard tub supposedly came from a 19th century passenger ship. In spring and early summer, guests in Fern Canyon are lulled to sleep by the sound of a brook that runs along the east side of the building.
Dolason Prairie is a large northwest corner room with a California King Bed and a nice sitting area with an armchair and coffee table. The private bathroom, built in the old water tower, is small but functional with a large new walk-in shower.

We loved the hotel, it was very comfortable, great room, service and and we received a very warm welcome. I don't think we would attend the dinner again, it was ambitious 'master-chef' type dining, very creative but we felt it was very hit and miss and did not entirely work it was also quite expensive and you are forced into a 4-course meal you may not want - but don't let that put you off the hotel, as the hotel is wonderful

This Inn was one of the best places I've stayed. Beautifully appointed rooms, excellent food, extremely helpful staff (Dean was amazing), great views. We definitely plan to visit again!

My wife, son, and I stayed in the Fern Canyon room last year which was very nice. This year my father and mother traveled with us so we stayed at the Requa House. This house is very nice and has amazing views and complete seclusion. Its at the end of a road at the top of a steep hill. The overlook is of the Klamath river valley to the West and Klamath River watershed and Pacific ocean to the East. The night sky was pristine and I saw shooting stars and the Milky Way every night. This was a couple weeks after the Perseids so your mileage may vary. This is also a 15 minute drive from some of the best redwood hikes in the world. Also, don't miss the Fern Canyon hike. Unique and very beautiful. Note: we didn't dine at the Requa Inn this trip because our hikes kept us out late. But a response is required on this site. The food is very good, we dined with them a few times our last trip.

My wife and I were traveling down the pacific coast and stated one night in the rhododendron room, a very nice river view room. The Salmon were running up the river and Sea Lions were swimming up and down the river catching salmon. I have never seen anything like it, although the receptionist at the desk made it seem routine. That said the Meals were delicious and the company terrific, you can sit at a table with other guests (not usually my thing.) The Inn is clean, our bed was comfy, and the great room downstairs is well appointed with games and info on the area. If I ever travel this way again i will definitely stay here more than one night.

We arrived hungry and tired after a day of hiking in Redwoods near Crescent City to find the lovely Requa Inn, recommended by a friend who knows the area well. How lucky we were. From the great hot tub in the back garden area to the fun communal dining with delicious dinner-time food (we both had fish) and an amazing breakfast with almost anything you could wish for, all set across the street from the river (our room had a river view, worth asking for). It was foggy so we didn't get to enjoy the views just up the road of the ocean, but we will return and high recommend this Inn to our friends.

The Requa Inn is the only place to stay while touring the Klamath region of California. Yes, their are certain idiosyncracies and character to the old girl. But what would you expect when your a hurndred years old. Then, their's breakfast and dinner offered during your stay. As I said, no need to consider staying anywhere else.

We appreciated many features of our truly pleasant stay at the Requa Inn -- the charming atmosphere, the hearty and delicious breakfast, the helpful and friendly service, etc. We also liked the fact that the reception gave information about the international provenance of the various guests. We definitely recommend the Requa to others, and we ourselves look forward to returning for a second, longer stay there!

The Requa Inn is a lovely place in the middle of no where. There isn't much around but was on our route from San Francisco to Portland. Our room was particularly lovely. The colors were bright and cheery. The view of the lake was pretty. During dinner we actually saw a bear across the lake. We paid extra for the dinner option and it was well worth it. The chefs came out and described each course. We met nice people at dinner which added to the evening. Breakfast was good. There were many options to choose from, but was a typical breakfast, nothing unusual. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our visit. I would recommend the Inn if you are in the area.
